On a Saturday evening when every other bike shop was closed, I found REI open. I called them to see if they would have the obscure parts I would need to rebuild the front axle on my bike. I spoke to their bike technician, Joe. He said to come on down with the original parts and he would see if he could match them closely enough. I did, and he did find parts close enough to use on the job. These were cones and bearing balls of a particular diameter. He spent probably 20 minutes of his time finding just the right parts for me. And the total charge was only $7. I was quite pleased with the personalized service I was offered, the time he spent on my situation, and the very low price. Also, Joe was very pleasant to speak with.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE in the bike shop! As a walk in on a busy Fri afternoon they removed and installed a new rear tire on our 1982 road bike paying attention to detail and doing the job in a timely and professional manner for a more than reasonable price!
