I went in to grab a pair of workboots, as I need to dig out some old tree roots. I got a beautiful pair of Brahma boots that looked like new for $9. I also got some photo frames for next to nothing. The store is clean, the people are friendly and helpful. And it SMELLS clean. Not your typical second hand store. Visit, youll love it!

The Goodwill in Castle Rock is a great for profit organization that easily accepts donated items ranging from clothing, accessories, electronics, reading materials and much more donated items. The drive thru area is easily accessible with guided lane markers. Inside, the store is well maintained, clean, and customer service is always great. While shopping here, just don’t look for one thing, look around, you may be surprised by a hidden gem or two. Follow me for other reviews.

Horrible management, have found multiple clothes with stains or old food(?) stuck to them, and there always seems to be yelling coming from the back. My daughter and I nearly stepped on a broken glass plate, we called someone to clean it up luckily, but it could have ended poorly. Customer service is alright from the younger employees, though some older staff and a young man with pink hair have been extremely disrespectful. 0/10, filthy and unwelcoming environment. I’d rather take the longer drive to a better goodwill than this.

No longer a place to find good deals. Often items are priced higher than you can buy new. completely overpriced throughout the store. Was told “all our good stuff is sent to auction” sad it doesn’t serve the community that donates to them.

A little pricier than most but this store does sit in Douglas County. Some cute, more updated items than most too... never had any issues at the donation drive through, although the folks saying attendants are a little retentive about directing traffic are absolutely right. It honestly makes me laugh every time... but this is definitely one of the cleaner, more professional Goodwill locations.

Bad return policy. I returned items within one day of purchase and they gave me a store credit. I dont remember it being like this before. Its obviously not this stores individual fault, but garbage policy. The manager was rude when I asked about it.

Cleaner, more organized, and less musty smelling than other thrift stores. Decent selection of goods. This location lost stars because, unlike other stores, it individually prices records. And some are way overpriced. Also, they had one lone guy manning the registers while about 20 of us watched in line. I ended up leaving without the books I scoured the shelves to find.

Prepandemic Goodwill Castle Rock was the best Goodwill in the area. Since reopening under new management the whole atmosphere has plunged. Their pricing is ridiculous. More often than not their prices are higher than what the item is new at Walmart. I was told by an employee that Castle Rock donations are seldom kept in this store but rather shipped to other stores or put on the online auction. What is put out in the Castle Rock store is over priced junk. Very disappointing. Used to be a great place to find some nice affordable things - not anymore.

I didnt know that raising your voice / yelling at customers from employees was acceptable behavior. I went to the dressing room area to try on a sweater. One of the dressings room door was ajar a few inches so I stepped in. I noticed on the floor there was a door handle on the floor to the side. No biggie I thought, Ill throw on the sweater over my shirt and see if it fits.Within 3-5 seconds of being in the dressing room, I hear a yell from the cashier approximately 40 away, Get out of the dressing room. Its currently being worked on!. Not a request, but a demand. Let me make this clear, his tone was one of someone trying to be authoritative. So, I exited the dressing room as customers in line stared at me. I responded with Excuse me, but I do not see anyone working here. The cashier replied by yelling across customer in line, and said Theres a door handle on the floor. I was thinking to myself, Yes, I know that now, but not before entering...As I was checking out, I asked if I could make a suggestion and proceeded with, In the future if you do not want people to use a dressing room you may need to put up a sign that says Do Not Enter or Out of Order instead of yelling at customers to get out of the dressing room.At this exact time, another employee (mgr?) asked what was going on and the cashier said the door handle was broken and I was fixing it, but then I had to jump back to the cashier to help customers check-out. He did not apologize for his behavior. He offered just an excuse for his behavior, completely oblivious or worse.... The issue is, you dont yell or bark orders at customers across the store. This is highly unprofessional, rude and tacky. No one, especially customers should be treated like kids or barked at.I used to visit this store almost every Saturday morning due to teaching in the area. So its unfortunate that treating customers like this is acceptable. Based off of my last experience and seeing what others review have posted its time for me to ditch goodwill shopping at this location.

Very well priced on most items. Hopefully it stays this way. Good staff, small selection of purchasable items, high number of media items (movies, video games and cds) missing.... items are stolen right out of the store. We just sat in line to donate for an hour, only to be asked to leave the line so the person in front of ya could pull out. This was the last straw for us! There are plenty of other places who want our donated items!

Ja
Review №30

Anyone mentioning the donations line issues can contact corporate because that’s how they make them run the line, one car at a time. Also people in donations have been hit by cars. I do community service here, great staff all around and good management. Their clothes selection is enormous filling over 50% of the store with rack one after the other. This location gets some good furniture and the staff and volunteers can’t buy anything unless it’s been on the floor for a certain amount of time which gives the guest first pick! Douglas county citizens donate great items and so much furniture that the intake has to deny some sometimes due to the back of house filling up! If anyone needs a job this is a great place to work!

They do a half-off sale on Saturdays like ARC but usually its on one specific tag color and the tag color is nearly impossible to find. Also, the employees there usually seem agrivated that people are shopping in the store. They have a pretty good selection but usually not for clothes, art, tools, or furniture, the selection is mostly home accessories.

The customer service here is terrible. I am currently standing in line and there are plenty of people working today, but one person on the register that is helping a customer having questions with her receipt. There is a male employee (manager?) that obviously does not care that people are getting frustrated and walking out. He is actually smiling and waving as they leave. Do not come here! 😡

They have a great selection, and I like that you can get new items there too. I do not like how pricey most items are or how disorganized the store is. If you are looking for clothes, you have to look through every single piece. There were 4Ts mixed with 14/16s. Adults mixed with kids. Shorts mixed with shirts. It makes for a very stressful shopping experience. I had a handful of items last time I went and put it all back and left. I wasnt finding what I was looking for and was tired of looking at the sizes on every garment we were interested in. They tried selling me a book shelf with water damage and missing shelf brackets for $20. I got the exact same shelf shipped brand new to my house from Amazon for $25, all parts included.

Prices seem to have risen a fair bit since opening over a year ago. Also, not as much stock on shelves anymore (glassware etc) Its good that the clutter has been cleaned up somewhat, (kids toys) but with the amount of donations they receive, the shelves could be stocked a little more.

The. Most. Annoying. Place. To. Donate. Ever. Im all about safety, but the people at the drive up donation are beyond ridiculous. They act like everyone working there has been hit and run over by cars like 20 times each. You have to stop so far back while 2 people, not 1, unload each car one by one. And theyre frantically motioning for everyone behind this car to stop. People are literally driving so slow that its barely rolling. It would be so much more efficient to unload 2 cars at the same time, but again theyre worried about stepping out into the apparent race track of cars driving through going 40 throwing donations out their windows....
