This place is phenomenal. The customer service is second to none. My family was very impressed by the selection and service at DCF. We will definitely be back. Amanda was great and made my wife feel very comfortable and welcome, she was very thorough and made sure it was a purchase that my wife was 100% sure of after trying out the same models in their range. Customer service is a dying art, but the folks at DCF are doing the best at keeping it alive.

We went in this past weekend looking for a new gun for my wife. We knew what we wanted and DCF had it in stock and at a reasonable price. They gave us a fair trade in price also.Duncan helped us and was very helpful and friendly. He was willing to match the pricing that was on the website without any trouble, this has been an issue in the past. Duncan worked very hard while we were in the store, helping several customers at one time. The only reason that is stopping me from 5 star for this visit is that, toward the end of our purchase when Duncan was trying he finish our sale he was also having to help several others, and this kept us longer than needed. It seemed that most of the other employees left as things started to get busy.I will say I have been going to DCF for a long time, and they have lost a few sales with me in the past due to poor customer service, however the last year or so that has really turned around. You guys are doing great keep it up.

As a former employee and a long time customer I can’t speak highly enough of this place. It’s been over 5 years since I worked for them and over 10 years as a customer and I can tell you things have only gotten better with time. Gunsmith/repairs are top quality, the range is modern and convenient, sales and products offered are vast. When many other stores are lacking in ammo, guns, or both Ive always been able to find what I need on hand or have it ordered it in a short wait period. I not only recommend DCF, I fully endorse them.

I many years ago recommend my friend to DCF to purchase a hand gun, he did. This weekend it got jammed and he took it there for help, the gun smith was arrogant and rude, demanded $100 to help. I was able to un-jam it in 10 seconds. You lost 2 customers your so-called education failed to teach you customer service and customer retention.

Went to this store on Sunday and so far I have NEVER had an unpleasant experience. I received help from Duncan. He was very nice and took his time to explain the things I needed and how to become a member, even assistance regarding training. I appreciate your help Duncan. I will be seeing you all again. Ive been looking for a Gun Store and Range to join in Castle Rock and I stumbled across DCF guns. I visited the store and had a great experience at 1st. Very knowledgeable staff. I ended up buying a Lower Receiver and an AR Rifle. I purchased the Rifle 3 days ago and went back into today to see about having a new muzzle break put on that rifle. This is where the 1 star review was earned. I walked over the the Gun Smithing area and the Gentlemen that was behind the counter was on a phone call. I stepped back and let him finish his call. Before I could even ask him a question he asks me are you here to talk to me? He was clearly irritated that I was there. I asked him about the service I wanted performed and he interrupts me, and raises his voice and tells me the muzzle break would have to be in stock and I can leave the rifle and he would see if he could get to it in the next 7 to 10 days. I told him I had the Muzzle Break and I just needed it installed. He then tells me you can drop it off and he will get to it when he can get to it. He was so rude and irritated that I was taking up his time. Although I had good service before that man behind the counter at the Smithing desk was so rude and condescending that I wont ever shop there again. I know others have spent money there but in the last week or so Ive spent over 1800 dollars at that store and Im not gonna give them another dime after being treated like by an employee.

Had to replace a gun due to bad circumstances. I knew it would be difficult in this economy for demand. I had a specific model I was looking for. I checked multiple stores in Denver and all were out of stock with no indications of when it would arrive. I heard DCFs radio ad, I live in North Thornton, and I checked them out. They allowed online orders. It was out of stock too, so I ordered it figuring on a month or more wait. Michelle contacted me that same day and said their distributor had one in stock and it would arrive in a few days. In four days, it was in. She followed up again, and I went and picked it up. Michelle was so professional. I really appreciated it. A salesman also gave me an ice cold beer on the way out since they were closing. That is service. I will be back.

From what I know, their prices are fair and they have a wide variety. Also, the indoor gun range is a great feature. I am a first time gun buyer and honestly Hunter made the experience for me. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He gracefully answered every one of my dumb questions and immediately made me feel more comfortable. The only reason I can’t give them 5 stars is the gentleman working at the gun range counter (before 6pm) couldn’t spare me a pair of foam ear plugs after spending $1,500 and becoming a member. When I was a potential customer, the day before, they had no problem sparing the 50 cents. The only reason I will be back is because of Hunter.

My girlfriend and I came down from Louisville and had an awesome experience at DCF guns. Sebastian is the man! We’ve been to other firearm shops in the area and the knowledge and expertise just wasn’t the same as what we experienced at DCF. Sebastian walked us through what we were interested in and helped us make a decision that made sense for us. Being first time buyers, we were a little intimidated of going into a firearm store and going to the range, but Sebastian made the experience super fun and actually relaxing. There was no pressure and the staff made us newbies feel very welcome and stress free. Hell of an Easter Sunday if you ask me. Definitely worth the trip down from Louisville!

Called several Gun shops in the Metro area. I was thrilled to find out about there rental prices and range fees.The staff was all highly helpful and made sure any questions where answered.If you want to rent or buy your 1st or 5th Yun. This place us great.

New to Colorado and was shopping for a handgun and some ammo as well as a local gun shop to frequent. I had a pleasant experience with Greg (Im fairly confident that was his name) who helped me decide on a gun. The reason for the negative review is that the gentlemen working the range check-in counter was incredibly rude to me when I asked about ammo/ammo prices. Im sure he gets this questions a million times a day but I havent bought in awhile and wanted to know what some 9 and 5.56 would cost me. He gave a really rude remark about not being able to tell me down to the penny with tax when all I wanted was a general price per box. He really ruined the experience for me. I will not be shopping here in the future and couldnt imagine someone new to firearms interacting with this individual. EDIT: I was there on 7/23 around noon

Decent prices, very unique firearms I hadnt seen before, NFA or not. Duncan was courteous and knowledgeable. I was treated great my first time, even though I wasnt making a purchase. I will definitely be returning.

First time gun buyer here. My wife and I decided its time to get handguns and our CCWs. Even though we live in north Aurora, we were not happy with the selection or knowledge of the staff at any of the gun stores much closer to us. Based on the recommendation of a friend, we made the 40 minute drive down to DCF Guns. Were glad we did!Sebastian did a fantastic job of educating us, answering our newbie questions and having plenty of patience. He made great recommendations on which guns would best suit our needs and took us to the range to give us an opportunity to fire a few rounds through each one (we did have to pay for the rounds). He gave us great instruction on grip, how to stand and aim. Because it is a major purchase, we wanted to take time to think about it and werent ready to buy that night. Sebastian didnt pressure us, but he did give us his personal contact info so we could ask any follow-up questions.Even though we checked out additional gun stores, we came back to DCF Guns because of the expertise and customer service of Sebastian. BTW, the value of the Loaded membership cant be matched. DCF is definitely our store and range.

Stepped into DCF for the first time today and the atmosphere was awesome. The whole store was buzzing. The guy behind the counter(Rhodes) welcomed me and asked what he could help me with. I told home it was my first time checking them out and he straight up gave me a tour of the entire shop. Like thoroughly. Dude definitely made me feel welcomed real quick. I ended up getting a membership there and hopped on a lane immediately. Looking forward to taking some of their classes and learning from their well versed and knowledgeable staff

Been stopping in daily for ammo with my daughter and have been pleased to feel welcome and most of the guys have been helpful. Rhodes is especially knowledgeable, professional and helpful. He has always answered my questions and never made me feel rushed. Calvin was amazing at helping us pick out a gun appropriate for us and he know what he’s talking about! Overall a great shop I would recommend.

Ive been a member with DCF Guns for over a year and I have nothing but praise for their excellent service. My first day at the range Hunter kindly helped me to understand my firearm and showed me around DCF and their processes with patience and care.They are always super busy but Hunter always makes a point to greet us and will stop what he is doing to help with anything I need with a smile and patience. At DCF, you are treated like family and never as just a patron like the nearby range that tries to up sell you at any chance they get or with any question you have. Bubz is their master gunsmith, has a wealth of knowledge and always available to provide answers to questions as well without requiring an appointment or reservation. The prices are amazing and the membership prices blow away Centennial and come with a ton of perks including a free class including conceal carry. Also, if there is a lane available, they will allow you on the range without requiring a reservation. I was at Centennial recently and had a work emergency during my range time, had to step out for 15 minutes and was asked to leave after my hour. I was only there because DCF was closed btw. In over a year, I have never been asked to leave and always accommodated if my range time had to be changed. If there is not an available lane, you will be offered the next available time slot without a reservation. Needless to say, DCF blows away the competition and is an excellent choice if you need a firearm, accessories, range time or just browsing around.

This is a great store with very helpful staff. Caleb helped me shop and answered all my questions as well as place a special order for extra magazines. I took one of the gun safety classes as well, and the instructor Tyler was great. Ill be back for sure!

This is a great store! Very knowledgeable staff that make you feel welcome. As an intermediate gun owner I’ve been looking to step up my game, and Dan was the right guy to talk to. Best gun shop and training in Denver. If you have any questions they are the guys to ask. See Rhodes for any ammo or gun related questions he is the man. Tyler is the best trainer in the state. They always have ammo it might be limited to 1 box a day but at least they have it and arent ripping you off like other shops in the area.

DCF has an impressive inventory of rifles, hand guns, shotguns, suppressors, scopes, magazines, cases and many other items I do not see at numerous other gun stores in the Denver region! Duncan and Keegan have found every item I have requested for ammo and firearms, and they set me up for my sound suppressor and short barrel rifle paperwork and finger print cards, which is a rather arduous and detail oriented process that must be done correctly if you want your application to be granted by the ATF!

I’ve been here a few times and most recently to get a lower as my dad and I were building AR’s for the first time. I prefer to go here over the store/range closer to me that I am a member to because of the staff and store. I’ll be changing memberships when I move closer. Rhodes was helpful in getting me taken care of to get the lower and he and other staff in the store had been able to answer questions we had. I appreciate how well they are working with such a busy crowd gun stores are facing. I’ve also been there in the past for the range and it is a nice facility.

Went into DCF Guns the other day for the first time. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Called back a few days later with some questions on their indoor range and ended up finding a product Id been searching for for months! Rhodes, Sebastian, and Sales Manager Jake all helped me and they were fantastic! I will do more business with them in the future and I highly recommend them! Keep up the great job Guys!

These folks are incredible. No bs, no ego power trip, no pushy games. Sebastian was particularly helpful, he’s both knowledgeable and patient.Be transparent with what you need and their team will be transparent with sensible and clear recommendations.Catch them in the mornings or evenings as they seem to be quite busy during the afternoon.

Originally went in for a Sig P320, unbeknownst to me that’s the most popular gun on the market. Hunter then showed me the best pistols for home defense and for my skill level. Hard to get ahold of anyone on their telephone at this place. I was just inquiring about general gun purchase and transfer information and was just given unhelpful rude responses. I was going to give this place some business but will definitely be going somewhere else. They need to learn something about customer service here as at least one of the main staff members does not have!

I have been going to DCF guns for a long time now. I was buying guns from them since before they moved into their current location. Over the past couple years I have noticed that their customer service has gone down hill. Most sales associates think they are at a party all day long and don’t care if they are helping the customers. If you sign in to purchase anything the sale people don’t care because they will help people that signed in after you. The item I was looking for I was told 2 days ago that they have in stock, but they haven’t checked them into their system yet and to come back the next day to purchase. I came back the next day and the day after that and still not checked into the system. I sat their for over an hour to be told that they still haven’t checked the items into the system. I will not be going back their ever again.

I’ve stopped in a quite a few times for ammo and to talk about getting a new gun. Most everyone in there is super helpful and nice. If you can, ask for Rhodes. He’s knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Calvin was really helpful when buying a gun, took his time, and answered alI questions. I’ve run into one guy in there I’m not super impressed with, but overall, every experience has been positive, so they definitely deserve 5 stars.

Honestly a great place. The employees are pretty cool and helpful. Prices arent too bad either sometimes they can be flexible on them. There is a good amount of selection as well. Also the range is definitely worth a shot.

As a woman, it can be frustrating walking into ANY gun store and or range with pushy mansplainers in every corner. But DCF guns has been on point 99% of the time and treated me with respect. Aside from one pushy dude, but I don’t see him there anymore so bonus for me.I always try to speak with Hunter Park. He is such a nice guy and a wealth of knowledge without the pushy feel.Thank you Hunter and the rest of the staff for being kind, knowledgeable and respectful.PS the place is so clean and organized. RHOADES was great to work with, guns have been selling out like crazy- he overheard me talking about a firearm I wanted, that was the last one in the cage. He put it behind the counter until my name was called, so nobody could get to it before me. Guys at DCF are awesome and will take care of you. Make sure to set aside a good amount of time before going in, wait times are the only downfall.

Stopped in for the shadow systems demo that was going on from 10am to 7pm with the intention of buying one if I liked it. Was told that the demo was over and they had already left to find a bar at 5:40. Terrible!!! They lost a sale and a membership renewal for their explanation and poor customer service. I will find another dealer that actually has an interest in helping their patrons/member and wants to sell guns.

Recently stopped by DCF to have my sights replaced on my APX. Store was busy as usual so I waited my turn and was helped out by Rhodes at the gunsmith desk. Great customer service and advice as usual. I can honestly say that every time I have visited DCF, the level of professionalism, friendliness, and overall product knowledge is very high. I have dealt with several individuals at DCF in regards to sales, gunsmithing, and the range, and all have been courteous.

Newbie to handguns and I had a lot of questions. The entire staff was very helpful and Dan was extremely generous with his time to ensure I had the right information to make an informed purchase. Dan went above and beyond !

On February 4th of 2018 I walked into DCF guns in castle rock Colorado with the desire to use their shooting range. I often travel to castle rock and was excited that there was a shooting range in close proximity to my business there. From the moment I entered the store I felt unwelcome and the eyes of the clerk beaded on me. I admit that I was a minority and wearing a hooded jacket in a not the most diverse of towns so I ignored it and politely asked the clerk if there were any available spots in their range. He stuttered his words and told me to hold on while he went to go check. I replied okay and began to browse their selection while he was away. When he returned he told me there was no room but continued the conversation by stating that even if there was any room he wouldnt let me shoot because I had a strong odor of marijuana on me. I politely asked what he was referring to again because i was in shock. I told him I dont smoke that stuff and he was wrong. He told me that he had 3 brothers that smoked marijuana and he knew what it smelled like. I told him to get a manager and he did. He told his manager that I smelled of marijuana and for him to smell me. His manager smelled me then looked him then back at me and said yes then tried to walk away. I told them they were wrong and told them they could call a cop for a real opinion. They said no, so I proceeded to leave and turn around to take their picture to leave a review. While i was typing the review in my car the manager approached me and said they would call the cops for a professional opinion if I wanted and I replied yes. We entered the store and I waited at the front while he procrastinated for 5 minutes then called. While i waited I heard him tell 2 customers at the counter I was a pot head. At this point I am very upset so I walked out and stood out front for about 10 more minutes until the cops arrived. When the cops arrived I gave them my name for them to run and my side of the story. They smelled me and said I didnt smell like marijuana and told the employees I didnt either. The manager then attempted to offer me a free session at their range through the cop and and politely told the officer I wouldnt accept that and they can keep it because I would never set foot in their store again. After I left I finished my review by telling my story and posted it to Google maps. Who I can only assume was the owner because he claimed to be, Josh, gave me a very textbook reply through email. I was going to drop the subject, the next morning I was telling my coworkers of my experience and went to show them my review only to find it deleted. That act angered my even more. After 3 weeks I still feel just as embarrassed and discriminated as I did that day so I am leaving a review on every review site I can. When they read it hopefully they remember that I am the man that waited patient for the cops to arrive just to show my resolve in calling their actions out.

As a novice gun owner (my husband has had guns in his home since he was a boy but I didnt own one until I purchased my handgun. I was a little (ok, a lot) intimidated by the idea of owning a firearm. DCF was extremely polite, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about their products and this made me feel better about my purchase. I was informed of yet never pressured into joining anything and have actually yet to go to the range...but I still feel part of the DCF family. I will be hitting the range soon and taking some classes to better familiarize and gain confidence with my firearm. They have definitely gained a new customer in both myself and my husband. Just finished a private lesson with Tyler and extremely impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and educating skills. He took the time to truly explain and show me everything I was doing wrong, so that I could understand and perform it better the next time. I got better throughout the session and will continue these private lessons with Tyler because it was a beneficial experience. These guys are amazing. They took their time to explain everything about the hand gun I was buying. I worked with a few of the salespersons there and they had an answer to every question I had. I also didnt buy the gun the first day I was there, I took my time and researched everything they referred me to. Finally the day I decided to purchase the firearm I went in knowing what I was going to pay, knowing that the firearm was fairly priced and that they would do anything they could to make sure I was getting everything I need to support the firearm I was buying.They are a wealth of information and always feel welcome walking through the door. Went to DCF on 5/15 to purchase home protection. Met with a young man named Hunter. What a Rock Star! He was very knowledgeable, showed me pieces that would fit my specific needs. Extremely friendly, professional and so very helpful. If you go, ask for Hunter! He was absolutely fantastic

Have been a member here for almost two years. Great staff . Had 2 great training classes with “Patch”, he is engaging and knows his stuff . Classes were very helpful and I would highly recommend . More recently I picked up a few items and worked with Sebastian who was knowledgeable, helpful, and all around fun to work with

The guys are really nice, I got a good deal on a Glock 19 at the tanner gun show. Walked up to the setup at the Sportsman’s expo with some questions on guns they stock and if they are doing any show pricing. It took me a while to get the attention of the gentleman working (owner) as he was having a conversation with his colleague. Then after asking about show pricing I was told “this isn’t a gun show” and he turned to another customer. Surprised at that response from a shop that I had so much respect for, especially for the balls they have to put their commercials on the radio (much respect), I said have a nice day and walked on.If I’m willing to spend thousands of dollars at your store instead of online, I would have appreciated more respect. But hey, whatever. They’ll do just fine without me. Great shop though.

Took 2 pistol draw and shoot classes here and completely enjoyed both. Patch the instructor was phenomenal, extremely professional and evaluated and helped each student individually. I actually feel like I could win, if, God forbid, I ever get in an actual gunfight. I plan on taking more classes from him as soon as I can. Also, with membership, first class was free.

Terrible service, terrible smell, definitely don’t go here. Didn’t even bother waiting in the line because the teenager they had working the front had a serious attitude problem and was being extremely rude to the guy in front of me that he was supposed to be helping. Less importantly he wasn’t wearing a mask, and he smelled like he hadn’t wiped in a couple weeks. Either way don’t go here.

All I can say is WOW!!!! 1st timer in this shop. As some of the other reviewers bad service, you have to put your name on a list (which no one tells you) to get help from any sales person or to talk to anyone. Waited 30+ minutes to get a private sale done. Which is $45, most places only charge $25 or$30. Guns are over priced, but thats there choice and yours. I will not be returning. Im just leaving a review and will not be contacting then. Just my opinion on this review.

I found out that DCF is way overpriced. I choose to always support local businesses when I can and decided to purchase a handgun from them. Good service and I had planned on using the classes/range and more. Today I was in Cabelas picking up my jacket. I wandered by the gun display and saw that I had overpaid by 120%, just 3 days prior, on the exact same model (not a sale price). I went to DCF to see what they could do for me. I was asked about a rebate offer and I explained that it was just an everyday price. Then, I was told sorry, price match is only at time of sale, nothing we can do. Well, live and learn I guess. I wont be buying local from DCF in the future. Too expensive and they seem pretty proud of it.

My wife and I had a beginners safety class with Tyler this morning he was awesome!! Very patient, answered all our questions and was very thorough. We will definitely see him for other classes in the future!! Thanks

Recently I took my girlfriend into DCF and together we had an excellent experience. It was her first time in a gun store and she loved it. The staff, specifically Adam, is very friendly and knowledgeable. Even though we stepped in 2 minutes before close on Sunday the staff was welcoming and helpful. Adam answered all our questions about safety, gave recommendations of ammunition, and insight of weapon designs for women. It was really fun and professional! The range is really clean, well lit, and safe. The stores presentation is nice, well lit, smells good and is clean. The bathrooms are clean and comfortable. Overall DCF is an excellent facility and because of the staff and selection DCF is the only firearms retailer we do business with. Thanks DCF!

Love this store. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. You don’t feel intimidated Walking in there as a women who doesn’t have much experience with guns. Love the Ladies night they have every Wednesday. Their trainer Patch is great. So much knowledge and great info. Highly recommend this store!

Membership is cheap, range is nice and has been upgraded recently. The staff is always helpful to me and treats me well. Tim is a common face in the store and is always quick to help out and answer questions you may have. Matt has been a huge help in the past with my online orders and navigating the website. Overall, great experiences here. Highly recommended

I’ve always wanted to get my CCW, but had not had the opportunity until DCF offered a free class for women to get CCW certified. It was one of those things where I was intimidated by the idea of walking into a male dominated field, knowing very little, and not being taken seriously. This was not the case at DCF. I walked into the class and was greeted by the instructor, Bubz who was incredibly knowledgable and funny. Although a lot of the class was going over slides and material, it went by very quickly. After Bubz presentation, a couple representatives came in from LawShield who gave us information on how to protect ourselves legally after an incident. All this information was great in making me feel confident about having my CCW. After lunch, we used the simulator (which was insanely cool) and Bubz gave us critique on how to handle situations that we would need to pull our gun. This was great for showing us both that we need to be prepared to protect ourselves and be aware of our surroundings. In the last part of the class, Bubz and Erik took us in small groups to the range to shoot. There they gave us a bit of advice and made sure that we were comfortable handling a firearm. There were a couple ladies I was sitting with who had never shot before, but Erik was able to give them extra time and attention on the range, and He scheduled them for a free follow up lesson to make sure that they were completely comfortable. I was overwhelmed by the generosity, friendliness, and dedication that DCF provided, and I am sure to be a customer for years to come. If you are a woman, or really anyone that is looking for a place to shoot, take a class, or get into shooting, I would definitely recommend DCF. (On an unrelated note, they have the most lovable office dog, Ray ray)
