Easy to find what you’re looking for. Store is clean not much interaction with employees until you get to the register. Overall good.

Plenty to choose from. If they aint got it no one does. Enjoy your visit here. If you drink coffee they have that also. You can read a book to check it out, while enjoying a beverage of your choice.

Went there to buy a new Bible, the staff was very helpful as well as knowledgeable about which Bible I was looking for, BRAVO

Huge, beautiful, air conditioned. The staff were so nice, especially the people at the customer service place in the middle of the store! They helped me so much, especially the long, curly, black haired lady who helped me figure out a book that I couldnt remember the title or author of. I never learned your name, but if you are reading this, thank you for helping me find out the title of Bakers Magic by Diane Zahler. (Good book, by the way. I recommend it)

How can you not love B&N? Books, books, books. Love the new vinyl section too and big section with science kits and learning games. Coffee, food, books. Perfect!

Who doesnt enjoy pausing to read a great book while out shopping or enjoying a quick stop to grab Starbucks, freshen up and use the restroom(which seems to be the only restroom in the shopping area) or to allow the kids to cool down and relax!? However, prior to Covid, B&N had a nice children seating area and seating around the facility. This place had no seating available, anywhere, besides @ the Starbucks. The restroom reeked to high heaven and my 4 y/o grandson preferred to hold it until we got home because the smell was unbearable.

I will start with the positive, the store was organized and the staff was very friendly. The Starbucks section was clean.We were in line waiting for the store to open and needless to say the outside was cleaner than the inside. No one vacuumed the night before or cleaned the disgusting restrooms. I was completely in shock, especially as the COVID numbers are raising again.I pray stores (not just Barnes’s and Nobles) adjust their level of cleanliness as we move past this pandemic.

This Barnes & Noble is located in the Hillside Village shopping center with plenty of nearby parking. You can shop in-store and even pick up online orders within an hour! Love the B&N Cafe which serves Starbucks drinks.

There was social distance and also have a built in Starbucks! The place is huge and also have a section for kids and also toys for them! I love the place.

I enjoy going and browsing. My son likes going to the children’s section and looking at the books. If I every have any questions the staff is always helpful.

I have always shopped at this facility but I will never dare step foot in there again. With the pandemic at its highest I would expect that the manager along with the employees ensure that every customer checking out is wearing a mask. But No! Unfortunately the lack of responsibility from the facility put me and my family in risk because there customers being SERVED that are not wearing mask. I’m so tired of seeing this time and time again. It’s a waist of time to implement covid 19 restriction if you let customers shop without a mask.

I went to the Cafe at this Barnes & Nobles to order unsweetened black tea at 8:30, closing time at 9:00. The young girl working there claimed they had more that could be made but refused that service for me when I asked for it.

The Not Starbucks has taped the plugs to avoid you sitting and staying and I suppose, contaminating ... Otherwise its an average sized B&N with like four people on the floor (noticeably) and generally only near the check out. I honestly only go for the Not Starbucks and cookbooks section, but, since I cant sit, I dont go much anymore.

Late review but took time to decide to share. I had an encounter with a wonderful woman on your staff (older woman early 60s maybe .. sorry didn’t get name). It was 2 years 9 months ago and I remember because I went to the book store searching for a book about raising a baby with Down syndrome. Yes I had a baby 3 month prior who was born with DS and it was a postpartum diagnosis so I was struggling to adjust to my new normal.Well I told her what I was looking for and she said something that changed my life. She said something like “don’t beat yourself up. It’s funny how we do that and have all these expectations on ourselves and our kids. It’s all silliness”Sorry it’s been a few yearsShe went on to tell me about her 20 something son who has autism and I knew she just understood what I was going through and gave me that comfort and whoever she is I thank her.Keons momHappy Down syndrome awareness month

The facility itself was beautiful and very well laid out. I had to give 3 stars because my check out experience was not so great as compared to the numerous other Barnes & Nobles I have been too.

I think staff should be more willing to help. Its like a library where you have to walk around to find the librarian and when you do, she is annoyed you are asking questions. So...amazon.

I was standing waiting to pay for my items. There was no one else in line, meaning the store was empty. The cashier looked at me turned her head and continue to keep talking to her coworker. The coworker motioned for her to check me out then she responded. Have to say bad customer service.

Good place, bit smells like old feet

Pretty bad. Theyre too lazy to put up their new hours on the door. Also on Google still has old hours. They have started opening at 10:30 with no plan how they would serve customers. Cant use the WiFi anymore. Half price books better! They have a plan how to serve the customers. No air ventilation in the store and the new design in the store is awful.

Bad customer service experience:So just went here for the first time (in this location) and had Peyton J as my cashier. Left really upset because she rudely joined into mine and my husbands conversation as she was checking us out. He was telling me about a book he found interesting and she proceeded to say “Sounds interesting...NOT... not my type of book!”We were both stunned for this conversation did not include her and her negative opinion on the literature was very uncalled for.But on the other hand the guy working the floor helped me find exactly what I was looking for and was very kind.So I’ll be back, but I’ll stay far away from this cashier and her uncalled for negative opinions.

You can NEVER replace the experience of opening and reading an ACTUAL book..

Not bad for a bunch if books

Love the Starbucks inside. Usually peaceful and cozy. I enjoy the activities they have for children. Staff are usually welcoming and helpful.* The store provided toys for children to play with however, they had to put an end to it due to customer theft.

We were greeted as soon as we entered the building, which was very welcoming. The store is always bright &clean. Today we went to the Starbucks in their cafe and the young girl that helped us did really well! She had customers before and after me.... she multitasked and still had a great attitude. I myself ordered 4 different drinks and she was very patient, quick and professional! She ran that whole counter by herself and was even able to communicate with a delivery man that was waiting on her. Very refreshing to see good customer service and a good attitude even when the stress could have gotten to her.

Always love going to Barnes and Noble, but this particular location in Cedar Hill was a little dirty, especially in Starbucks. The tables and floors in Starbucks were dirty, as if no one had cleaned the place since the day started. But, it definitely wont keep me from going back.

Friendly staff, clean store. The books always seem to be well organized. My family & I have gone to several of the children events they throw. Its pretty fun.

It was good. My daughter was able to find the book she wanted. The cashier could have been a little more friendly.

Well, our son wanted three books from B&N. I ordered them online. I received an email from B&N stating that two of the books were available at the local store but they did not have the other one. I went to the store today to pick up the two books and I decided to check on the third book. An employee there asked if I needed help and I told him about the book I was looking for. He checked the computer and supposedly, they had two of them in stock. We conducted a thorough search and could not find the book. He ordered the book and hopefully it will arrive in a few days. I hope this gentleman is a good indicator of most B&N employees. Normally, I would have given five stars. I gave four stars for the other times I have went into this location and employees ignored me.

Love it. My husband is addicted to their coffee place. Likes it better than Starbucks. (How, you say? Because they use the same coffee. I dont know, but I like it better, too... Maybe they blend it better or give us full pumps of mocha..? Not sure.) And we love the baristas there. And we love the bookstore itself. They sometimes do reading for kids in the late mornings, they have a train set for kids to play with, and a reading table for the kiddos, too. Its great. The rest of the store is great, clean, and fun to browse. Love making this place a nearly-daily stop.

Parking during peak times can be a nightmare in this shopping center, but the center itself and this Barnes and Noble are great. Friendly and helpful staff able to answer my questions and direct me right to particular books Im searching for, as well as offer to order or hold books when Ive wanted. Skip trying to park on the inner parking lot and just grab an outer parking spot and stretch your legs a little, which will help you avoid the parking lot jams. Inner parking has limited space compared to vehicles, and there is one lane with no room for passing. So one car waiting on a spot will backup every single car behind. Easier to park in the outer lot and walk than to get stuck waiting for those blocking to wait on parking to open.

Great place for cooking books

I have been coming here since I was in high school. I used to study here. The Starbucks at this location is also very nice. The line at Starbucks can get crowded at times, but the workers are very nice and enthusiastic. Even though I don’t live in Cedar Hill anymore, I still go out of my way to go to this location.

You hardly carry any womens magazines i.e. family circle, womans day, weight watchers or southern living.
