Typical Safeway Superstore in Centralia. Its got lots of stuff. The one star rating is because at least half of their customers werent wearing a mask. I asked a store employee about this and she said, We dont worry about that kind of stuff. I wonder how Safeway Corporate would feel about that.

Staff seems nice and helpful, but many of the items we like and need are often out of stock. Especially the frozen foods section. Yet other chains are able to keep up. If we didnt live so close to this store we would likely go somewhere else. Ive checked on some items 3 or 4 times in a week just to see if theyre getting stock in on other days and times. The shelves were still empty. Also, some weeks the only time I can make time to shop is around 6am. The self checkouts are closed and only one lane is open. Ive had to stand in line for several minutes, halfway down an aisle. It seems like there are enough customers at that time to warrant having more lanes open. Masks - seems maybe half the customers are wearing masks at the times Ive gone. I appreciate the professional and courteous responses Ive seen here in the reviews by customer service.

Absolutely love this store. They have discounts and deals every single day, and then Fridays are the best days for shopping here. 5 dollar Fridays. Quick customer service, and self checkouts. So if you have a couple things you will be in and out. It gets busy around 4 though and the lines get a little long. But over all, its a great store. I havent met an employee yet that wasnt completely helpful and nice.

Great Customer Service, Front Desk help.. Etc.. They dont seem to trade out or up their stock of stuff for newer or different items currently trending with consumers. Seems to be more of staples supply store for the people that living out in the boonies.;... Etc.. Excellent staff in the Pharmacy.. (Always from here to Denver, they are great)

This place is open absurdly late and has public restrooms to accompany pretty much every kind of product imaginable, which is really the main saving grace besides the attached gas station. Ive stopped by here several times to pick up singular items I couldnt get anywhere else because nowhere was open. The only real issue is price and the quality control. Its expensive, really pricey unless you have the membership card. The gas, on the other hand, is dirt cheap. If you need gas in a pinch on a budget, Safeway has your back. The other large issue is quality control. Ive had a few really disgusting seafood items before, but parasite infested shrimp that tasted like nothing but salt and plastic no matter how many times they were washed? Yikes. Stick to the gas and nonperishables, though, and this place is a solid dig. Need a fancy platter for a last minute baby shower? Go to Safeway. Theyve got you in clutch, and you can pick up a decent amount of diapers as a gift, too. Overall its good in most areas, Id just suggest avoiding the packaged seafood.

The store is store is okay, but if you park in the parking lot, definitely expect some damage to your car! They made the parking stalls too close together, so youre sure to get a door ding or worse! The hot food case is usually pretty good, but you have to watch it because they like to leave stuff in there for quite a while and it does get dried out, and icky! Most the workers are honest and will tell you when it was put in there, but there are a few that dont care when it was put in there and theyll tell you anything so be careful! Usually the workers are pretty helpful and I can find everything I need, but the prices are higher than Walmart!

Went in Saturday @ 8:30AM 1st time since they spruced it up .Really a nice well stocked store (they were still stock the shelves then) but the nice thing is there is plenty of parking at that time & the store is nearly empty .They have a Starbucks there & a Twinstar CU .I scored a huge 3 ribeye steak in the mangers discounted meat section .The store is very bright & roomy .Friendly helpful staff if there isnt an item on the shelf they will run in back & get it for you.This seems to be a well run store.

I love Safeway Pharmacy..BUT......its becoming a bad situation here..8 months ago it started showing gradually getting worse..Yesterday....4 people ahead of me..6 employees in pharmacy, they all were NEW AGAIN...... each did not know what they were doing!! It took me 45 minutes to get to the counter to get my regular meds....They need a drive up..Obviously tho...if they keep shuffling employees from Seattle or very out of town places..it could be a smiling.... happy experience for those there to just pick up.Times are hard...but if the person doesnt pride themselves in their job..They need to be GONE!PHARMACIST, TECHS....ITS NOT all about you!

Its great for close, local basic needs however theyre not stalked with the items Im use buying or so seeing in the big city stores. Guess Ill have to make trip up Olympia to Feed Meyers for that. They do have great customer service though and awesome pharmacy staff!

Its a great grocery store in terms of quality products and selection. Top of the line produce, meats, bakery, even the frozen food section is fantastic. Especially if you like the more healthy choices. But be sure to bring your piggy bank! The prices are unbelievably high. Unfortunately they are too high for me to shop there regularly. But as a treat on payday, it is a nice way to pamper yourself and your family.

I was on a road trip and stopped here early in the morning. All of the employees were busy getting ready for their day. The bakery filled my special request of 1/2 pound of whipped frosting. The deli served me a salad sampler and some sliced meats. No one acted bothered by me disrupting their morning work. I appreciate the friendly service so early in the morning.

Really clean, great customer service. Great produce dept. In store meat dept, bakery dept, flower dept, and deli dept. The deli also has Chinese dinners, very delicious. Hot and cold cases. The staff is great. Ive been shopping here for years and I cant remember ever having a problem.

MOLD EVERYWHERE in produce. The health department needs to stop this place from doing business until they meet standards.Fruit and veg is often bad, strawberries almost always have 1-2 packages fully molded. Staff invariably bags groceries poorly. Eggs and a honeydew, bread and bottles, raw meat with veg (yes Im serious). Some basic training would go s long way, but I think they do it for giggles.They do have the best grocery store sushi in SW WA, that sushi dude is amazing 🍣

I can count on Safeway for having what I need in stock 95% of the time! The employees are always pleasant, makes for a nice trip to our local shopping center!

We had to go somewhere else because they didnt food in Asia part of deli. They said there wasnt anyone to cook the food. Maybe because it was on sale?

Currently a bunch of coolers are down so some items are not available. This is not the norm though. Store is always well stocked and friendly staff.

I used the pharmacy and they are awesome and fast. Its definitely nice to have a pharmacy that works for you instead of the insurance company. I had to pay cash and the Walgreens wanted $220 for a prescription that cost me $8.80 at Safeway.

This Safeway store on Harrison has had an awesome makeover and boy is it nice! They have the best produce, meats, bakery, hot & cold deli!! It’s really convenient here at this Safeway having a beautiful floral department, customer service center, & having TwinStar Credit Union here. Not forgetting Starbucks in the store. Employees here are very nice and friendly and make sure you find everything you need.

It was fine wish I saw more people wearing masks correctly so many people just dont care. Safeway is our main shopping place so want to shop there and stay safe. I will not say anything to the people because people get mad. So I will say it here.

Kind of crowded but thats what you can expect on a holiday morning. Their stock of fruit was amazing. All of these looked fresh and tasted delicious as well. The dessert section was also great. It is one of the best grocery store that i have viisted in the locality there.

Seems like a very well run Safeway, good deli, well stocked, and clean. They never enforced masks though and that shows a lack of concern for the community.

Know where almost everything I need is located in this store,some of the staff are extra wonderful,outgoing,and so helpful, if you are frugal at shopping, use their saving rewards and you will be surprised at the savings. Yes the store is a bit crowded at times,but they are 1 of 2 grocery stores in Centralia, and if you are living in the north part of Centralia area,its closer then Olympia,or Chehalis,and a lot cleaner and larger then Fullers/shopinkart,and a lot more friendly.

Realistically quick with the self-checkout. Employees have always been nice to me.Layout of store is slightly confusing compared to other Safeways Ive been too. Generally well lit unlike other Safeway locations. Front end is a little on the right end though rest of store gives a spacious feel.Plus I noticed this past time there that the deli now carried fruit Ambrosia! My fav!

I really like this Safeway! I go frequently and know the store well so it’s usually a very fast and easy trip for me. I’ve never had a bad experience with an employee and for the most part customers aren’t too rude.

Walk-in Covid booster. Less than 1/2 hour start to finish, including 15 minutes in the waiting room after vaccination.

The Centralia Safeway is a location that is exceptionally busy. This location is so consistent with service and quality you wouldnt know there are major challenges in the community.Throughout the entire Covid episode they ran a tight and consistent ship. Even, more recently our suffering in historic heat this Safeway remained cool and clean. Thanks to all of them for being there when we really needed them and for setting such high standards. Many restaurants shut down due to heat. The other Safeway had to shut down all of there dairy coolers. No, not in Centralia they were open and ready.

This is a pretty typical Safeway store. Because it is one of only a couple of choices in the area, it is generally busy. The parking lot is always packed, the store is full, and it is difficult to maintain social distancing. However, the staff work very hard to keep the facility clean and well stocked and they are incredibly friendly.

I love the workers there and they are very helpful . I go there even tho its way out of my way to drive to...

I shop here all the time, like every two days. Every single time theres at least one employee with their mask shoved down under their chin working in the produce. Ive been making complaints for months on end about this to the produce manager if theyre in the area or to the customer service desk if theyre not, and they dont seem to care.Also, half mask shields are not face coverings and the employees wearing them are a glaring example of not treating customer safety as priority. there is even literally a sign right outside the door indicating that a face shield does not qualify, yet there are cashiers wearing them instead of masks.

Clean store, prices arent what is expect. They used to have nice deals but recently theyve gone over the top in certain product categories, such as tomatoes: Ive found on the vine tomatoes over $1. per pound cheaper at another local store. Thats just for starters.

The coupons on my receipt rang up as positive numbers, which means they increase the price rather than decreasing it. Considering all the hassle and trouble that I’ve had with the Olympia store, the delivery service, and the corporate office on issues with curbside pickup, false advertising, their app, incorrect sales tax, overcharging, not honoring monopoly rewards, and terrible customer service, I have no intention of attempting to get this corrected at the store. Walmart sucks, but at least they return my money when they steal from me. Perhaps it’s time I just stopped going to Safeway/Albertson’s/Haggen.

Went to buy some veggie kebabs that was in the weekly sale ad, at the Centralia Safeway. Asked someone in produce if they had any and got a rude reply with no accommodations of making any kebabs or when they would have anymore out. Went to the Safeway in Chehalis and they were very polite and volunteered and took the time to make some packages of kebabs for me. I was very thankful for their service.

I visit Safeway a lot. It is the main grocery store I do my business with. It is always great service with the exception of this time. You had T-bone on sale for $5 /lb. with a digital coupon. On your sign in front of the T-bones it said 1 time use, so I took that as one time use for two packages. It did not say 1 package. Otherwise I would have bought 1 package with 4 steaks in it. I bought 2 packages with 2 in each package. So not only did I not get the $5 /lb for both packages, but I only got the $5/lb. on the smaller of the two packages. I tried to take care of it at customer service, but she was having none of it. Very disappointing. Not happy at all. Feel taken advantage of.

I would give zero if I could. Appalled at being called a liar by the pharmacist at the Centralia WA location. Zero compassion or knowledge of up to date information about eligibility on being able to receive the vaccine. Refused to read the information from the state health dept. website citing my eligibility and said it all with a very ugly tone in his voice. It was so absurd, I feel the need to give this review!

Everything I needed was here, and they accept WIC and EBT so that helps. Very close to all the local hotels, walking distance to everything and on a bus line. It can get pretty crowded in here, though.

They closed 15 minutes early. So I was unable to grab a few quick things I needed. Angry and feel like avoiding store in the future.Edit: I just wanted to respond here since its easiest. I wasnt the only one who came to locked doors in confusion, who looked at the times posted on the door feeling dissapointed. There were at least 5 others after me.I dont know what was going on that the store closed earlier than their posted hours. And if there was a real reason for it, a vague something happened notice taped to the door would have been good. But if it was just an early closing for no reason, I wasted my time and gas driving there for nothing. I just kinda felt lied to.
