I was losing my vision insurance and moving away and the staff got me in for an appointment very quickly. Everyone was so great and the tech that helped me, Derek, ensured me that if my glasses were not in before I moved they would mail them to me. Luckily, we did not need to even worry about that because the glasses came in very quickly in only 6 days! Thank you all, I appreciate everything!

I love coming here to get my glasses. The doctor is so nice and answers my questions. The people on the sales end are super friendly. They always get me looking younger. Nice selection of frames. Lots of pretty colors.

Gateway is the best MyEyeDr. office in Chambersburg. They answer the phone politely, the eyeglass fitting specialist are all excellent, especially Barry.I had to return a pair of glasses for exchange because I changed my mind about the style. They graciously accepted and approved an exchange. They quickly found an alternative pair of glasses that were perfect. The exchange was at no cost to me. They have a 30 day return/exchange policy. I returned my glasses for. Exchange within 3 days.

I hadnt been to get my eyes examined and glasses replaced in over 7 years so I was a bit nervous. It was super easy to make my appointment. staff was friendly. The exam was so fast and the doctor I had was nice. I probably took too long looking through glasses but the staff was super patient and helped me pick a frame that flattered my face shape the best. I ended up getting two pairs of glasses I adore and get compliments on all the time. They were a bit of an investment but immensely better than a cheaper pair from online I had been wearing. Highly recommend this store and staff and good quality glasses(they pay off in the long run!)

Great customer service, specifically from Barry. A few months ago I was in on a late night appointment and he helped us find a place to eat at after I picked out my glasses. A great experience every time I go! My frames just recently broke and I called in and they ordered me a whole new set, glasses and frame, free of charge because they were still in warranty.

Only positive thing to really say is that the front desk people are very kind and dont have problems fielding questions during this time where im sure theyre getting a thousand phone calls a day.Got an eye exam and had never had my pupils dilated before. Wasnt explained what the process meant in terms of my vision and had a very difficult time driving home being blinded by the sun and had to work the rest of my day with vision troubles giving that I have to look at computer screens all day...My bad eyesight was treated like a chore since the contact lenses I needed had to be specially ordered.Its been 25 days since they were ordered and they still arent in. And no time frame was given as to when I should expect them. Im very fortunate that my glasses are still intact because I would be in a world of trouble without them. Im aware that the time frame may not be in this offices control. However I was told to expect about a weeks wait.I feel like this review could be much better given that I came in on a different day, and had clearer expectations set for me. Im hoping the next time will be easier.***Update***Received a fast response from the patient relations team, They contacted the store and the lens manufacturer to provide an updated timeline for the lenses... Still not specific timeline, just got a call telling me id receive a call when theyre in which is what ive already been told. Not much change to the actual review but gave it a star bump due to the customer relation team

I have been a patient of Dr. Sylvester for over 30 years. He has helped me with many issues and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my eyes. His staff is always patient and helpful when looking for frames .

Very, very positive experience today with Dr. Lawrence. I was hesitant to try another MyEyeDr because of several bad experiences at another location. My experience today was pleasant, informative, thorough and helpful.....very different from what Ive experienced at the other location. All the staff were very friendly today. Also, they are doing a good job of sanitizing and managing COVID-19 procedures.

Dr. Lawrence was very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and explained things in easy to understand language. Staff were very helpful in helping granddaughter find frames. While traveling home from Florida, she left the glasses at a restaurant in GA. Staff were very helpful in making new pair. Called when glasses were ready.Very pleased with entire experiences!

Ive never had a bad experience! Barry recently helped me with picking out new frames, was completely understanding when I needed to come back later to make my final decision and even held the top 3 frames I liked off to the side until I could get back. I had new lenses put in my sunglasses and they arrived within a week. My new glasses also arrived a day earlier than promised!

They were able to examine me in the same day I called. They take all insurance, and they were able to help me understand my bill. Everything was well-staffed and I loved that Dr. Weller was so eager to teach me about my eyes and corrected some myths for me. My contacts were shipped directly to my home within a week of my appt. All in all, I couldnt be happier

My family and I have been to this location twice. Both times we had a bad experience. The only person that was even the slightest bit personable was the lady at the front desk.My first experience about 2 years ago, the dr was quite rude and unprofessional. We had decided to go to the location in Waynesboro after that appointment and just recently we were told to go to this location again due to my husband has a very high prescription and needed more choices in Oakley frames. This location may have more choices however, the woman who helped us was rude and dismissive.As we waited the doctor came out, asked if we needed help, and he was rude and dismissive as well. After paying over $400 for the prescription you would think they would have a better attitude.I would not recommend this location to anyone, they clearly have a “better that you” attitude and are extremely rude!

*****UPDATE*****If you go to the Gateway location in Chambersburg and have a bad experience and give feedback to their patient relations THEY WILL NOT SERVE YOU AGAIN!!! I contacted MyEyeDr. and they reached back to me. At first I was feeling better because they were apologetic and was refunding me for the warranty I didnt want to pay for and a discrepancy I found with my insurance that they missed. Then I was told they would not serve me at their location because of my feedback for the customer service. My insurance is not taken by many Eye Doctors in this area. I didnt have much of a choice but to go here. My feedback was for their team to improve. Yes, I was unhappy but when I gave my feedback I was not trying to offend. I was not rude or belligerent and yet they decide to not offer their services to me because of one review with which they disagreed. I have never been to any retail store that wont let you come back if you feel you were treated rudely. I left my previous review attached unedited-except for the clarification on the $75 charge. If I was too rude then Im sorry. Oh and my glasses dont creak anymore so no worries there. She was right and I appoligize for that comment. Their cleaner spray also helps with the creaking noise on new glasses.*****Original post*****Ive never had such a disappointing experience. Ive gone to both locations in Chambersburg and both were terrible. First, my sales person was very bad at helping me find frames I liked. I felt like he wanted me to give up and find something to settle with (which I ultimately did). Then he was selling me things I did not want or need such as the 1 year warranty. I thought it was complimentary because he never mentioned the price and I didnt see a breakdown of my bill until after he ran my card. I know thats my bad but glasses were always so expensive so I just bite the bullet every time but when I find out I didnt need to spend $75 ($25 per pair- I bought 3 pairs) on a warranty that I will forget about and probably wont use, I wasnt happy. He was also making me feel bad for not getting anti glare lenses which I have gotten before from My Eye Doctor and they were awful and bubbled up to the point where i had to replace them for $60 more. I brushed all of that off until I got my new glasses and had 3 different people help me begrudgingly. They made me feel unwelcome and made me feel like I was being too picky about my glasses being uncomfortable. Im sorry but I am wearing them every day and I paid a lot of money for them. Please fix them. Finally, my every day wearers are horribly creaky which has never happened to me in 20 years. The woman who helped me claimed it was my thick lenses and theres nothing she can or will do. She said the oils on my face may eventually make its way into the crevices and it might stop. My sun glasses - that I got at the same time, with the same prescription and same brand of frames do not squeak or creak at all. This place was better when Allegheny Optical owned it.

My wife and I spent 90 minutes getting our eye exams accomplished. The delay seemed to be caused by staff unfamiliarity with their new computer system. Even with my EYEMED insurance which gives a fixed co-pay structure for the lenses and 40% off on the frames, we would have ended up paying a LOT more getting the glassed from MyEyeDr than if we got them from Walmart without any insurance coverage. Therefore, we went to Walmart to have the prescriptions filled.... only to find out that MyEyeDr gave my wife MY glasses prescription instead of HERS. We had to go back to MyEye Dr to get the right prescription. My advice: GO TO WALMART for your eye exams and glasses... stay away from MyEyeDr!!!!!

Separate charge for the contact example is ridiculous. I have secondary insurance and they told me they cannot bill a contact exam to any insurance because noone will pay for it. Probably because its not a real thing, just a way to increase revenue. Whats next a separate bill for the contact case they give you during your exam?
