I went to India bazaar, Chantilly, VA for the first time. Its amazing with international foods and supplies. I had groceries list but I didnt know where to get it. The store staff name Carolina, Anthony, and Tony helped me to find those items. Its a wonderful service. Go back to this location again
Dear management, I request you to educate your staff how to behave with customers. I have worst experience today with one woman. They don’t have min common sense. This is good super market but horrible customer service person. She don’t know how to communicate with customers. Please take care of this issue.
This store has the best section of ayurvedic herbs and extracts in the DC area, a tad better than the larger Fairfax store. Also has a lot of copper products.
Professional and welcoming. Very good location and easily checkout. Reduced stars due to wrong billing two times, i can see from body language that they might be aware when i went back complaining, they reversed immediately though.
Let me start by saying that I love the store and their selection. It is well stocked and the store looks neat.It is the cashiers who make the visit very unpleasant and their customer service is sub par.I took the reusable bag and left them at the counter.I was rudely informed that I need to give them 1 by 1.If there had concerns with Covid, all she had to do was inform us about it.Instead, after the packing was done, she asked my wife to pick it up from the stack of other bags.I was a bit surprised with that attitude and was visibly upset. She asked my wife with I standing right next to her If I was OK.Sorry India Bazaar, that was my last trip to your store.
There’s nothing you can miss here. Great customer service and you would like to visit again and again!
I put the below post yesterday.......I am amazed by the owner and manager addressed this issue immediately. Thank you India Bazar for taking the steps to serve better. We need your store to enjoy our Indian stuff far away from home.Very very rude staff.I go there so often as I get the right Indian stuff.Normally the staff are ok.Today the lady who checked me out was extremely rude. She literally threw the stuff into my bag while checking me out. When I alerted her to be gentle, she did not make an eye contact, no apology..... nothing 🤷🏻♀️I pay money to buy stuff, I deserve some respect.I wish they do better in training their staff..... did they grow big quickly snd think they can get away with anything???
You can find almost all your Indian food needs here. Nice place, not too far, comparatively well organized.
Ashaben bhel, paanipoori, chat papdi, etc. is extremely fresh and tasty and reasonably priced for the quantity that she seves for takeout as opposed to any restaurant takeout. and she is always polite and has a beautiful smile and is pleasant whenver i have bought from her for the past 20 years as she was in Indo Pak spices in herndon before here.
Really bad experience buying fresh vegetables. The okra was prepackaged and almost entirely spoilt a couple of days after the purchase date even though it was stored in the refrigerator
Good quality products at great affordable prices. Busy place, but they have multiple cash registers so you dont have to wait long to check out. Highly recommend.
Like all other Indian markets, it is a bit expensive when it comes to indian products. They have a snacks section, have tried vada and samosa, samosa tasted v good and generally sell v fast on rainy days. They have ganpati idols too and pooja samagri. Good place to find indian snacks, m daily usage things
Very rude customer service. Everything is Overpriced compared to other asian stores. con artists at the counters. Be very alert and while billing the items (they put different price from what are listed below the items in the aisles). Take pictures while picking up items. Never coming back!
Full stocked from freezers, to dry foods, to fresh vegetables, home stuff, diwali diyas.Nice spacious store.Only wish the cashiers were not as lost and more personable. There isnt enough space around the cashier to maintain social distancing. And people have to squeeze through to get samosas! The store is equipped, only workers got to catch up!
Always organized, clean and great deals. Love to shop here!!
Good variety, good customer service and fair prices.
Seems like they have made the store bigger. Seem to have extensive selection of Indian groceries
Good for anyone looking to get Indian grocery. Items are kept well organized.
Have to careful in billing for Indian items else everything good.
They have increased the floor area of the shop and did something really good. They have kept a wide variety of Indian food both frozen and fresh and packed once too. The store is very well kept and very clean. The prices are really good and competitive for most of the products they keep. I love there samosas and other fresh food they keep.
Open at 10am but seems no one is here yet its 1015am
The lady working there is rude . I was enquiring about some sweets. She answered me very rude.Don’t want to go there anymore.
Make sure to check the bill and the actual price of the product during checkout at the counter.
Cashiers lack basic customer service. They dont greet customers. They dont verbally say how much is owed. Almost a speechless transaction. They simply take the card and charge it. I didnt know how much was bill until i was given the receipt after paying. Very poor service.
This people dont even honored their price online. Their website had price for one of the product which they dont let me order online which I understand so we went to store to get it they didnt honored their post and said it is website mistake.
Edited to add my recent bad experience:Called to check if they sold fireworks for Diwali and if in stock. The cashier said yes for both. Reached the store and walked all around not finding them. Asked a few people working there and the one who answered the phone said its not there anymore as someone bought it. I had called just 5 mins ago. We were leaving and found a open box by the door with sparklers in it. Asked again if they were selling those. We were asked if we wanted to buy and finally the second lady rang it up for us. Some customer service.ThisStore has so many Indian brands thats hard to find in most other Indian stores and other international markets. A wide variety of snacks (including grand snacks from Chennai) and house hold items are available too. They have a chat counter and fresh hot chapatis available as well.
The grocery here is fresh. Also the fresh chapattis’ they make here us great and healthy. The chat and sweet corner in the store is the best.
They have groceries and other Indian stuff like other....but they are very helpful, friendly and responsive.
Good selection of indian grocery items with meat and fish options. Has a small eating counter as well which is nice. Prices are really competitive.
Great Indians Store that seems to be expanding. Good luck thank you.
Nice location but he don’t take care of his customer..
Good selection of South Asian grocery items - some hard to find ones, and has freshly prepared snack items at certain times of the day/week too. Prices are better than the Lotte plaza next door!
The collection of Indian foods is great. The staff is nice. The chat stand on weekends is one of the best I have had in the US.
Worst quality . They sell spoiled items and wont take return or exchange
Excellent indian grocery. They have everything. Vast selection of Pooja items are. Their samosa is very tasty. The chat items are simply outstanding 👌👌👌👌
No doubt about having good Indian groceries but the customer service is worst. Not sure why the cashier has so much attitude that she hesitates to even reply for our queries.
Best place to buy all the Indian items. Especially the chat corner over the weekend remains simply awesome 😋
This is not a huge store like the Lotte Plaza but when it comes to Indian groceries, you can pretty much find everything here. The staff is super friendly and they keep playing nice Indian music to add to your shopping experience. I havent had the need to go to Lotte for my Indian groceries anymore.
Editing my rating from two years ago to add this. I dont understand the negative comments. I felt compelled to write because the people who work at the store are so nice and they deserve a shout out. The girl who can speak Telugu and Hindi (this is for the reviewer who made a direct remark) comes across as very hard working to me. I look forward to my interactions with her. She knows every item in the aisles perfectly (believe me this takes honest interest in ones job), ever so helpful that I thought she is the actual owner in the beginning.Keep up the good job, India bazaar. You have my loyalty.
Very nice store look for frozen indian vegetables they have most of the varieties example punjabi tinda
Great place to get your Desi stuffs and awesome friendly staffs esp my friend Archana
Competitively priced. A nice change from the hustle bustle of lotte, which is next door. These guys recently bought the next shop, which seemed to have helped.
They are selling expired vadilal ice creams. And on top of that the staff are arguing with us. The staff have never been nice in this place but even when it comes to complains if they cant take it thats not right.
I visited this store today. It is very clean, very organized with a good selection. Prices seemed fair to me as well.
Good Stuff and reasonable price. They keep the stuff very nicely organized and helping staff.
Most well stocked Indian grocery store in Fairfax or Loudoun county areas, for some time now
I like it! Variety of brands!
One of the bigger stores. Nice and well maintained store
Good place to get all the Indian grocery. Another thing is that they have a pani puri stall inside which is expensive but tastes awesome. Give it a try.
Good collection of fresh vegetables. Also all verities of haldiram frozen.
Huge selection good prices very clean well set out
Awesome customer service
Good indian grocery store. So many varieties of frozen foods, sweets, snacks, millets, organic food. Prepared pani puri also available here
Good for quick in and out.. compared to lotte-- which is nasty to shop at but offers lower prices and wider selection
Good price and selection of Indian grocery and other misc stuff.
Covers almost all the essential items for south Asian household. They also have special “chat” food on Friday and Saturday. Tends to get crowded during those days.
Very good store to buy Asian groceries. They have well organized products and helpful staff. A gujarati aunty has a food stall inside the India Bazaar, she is the best. You must try her Bhel and all other chats are great.
Clean and well stocked. All the basic Indian groceries are available
Great selection. Nice Ready indian snack. Friendly staff.
Long time back customerAll quality products are available.Hats off
All Indian groceries, excellent samosa and sweets.
Great spice and food collection. Parking is very busy.
Great place to shop for authentic Indian, pakistani, bangali and Arabic grocery. Great choice and clean place, friendly staff.
All Indian stuff available at a reasonable price lots of parking available
Very nice place for one whos looking for Indian grocery stores
Feel like HOME
Good place, but not much stuff
Customer service is not great. Some stuff is expired but still on the shelves. Rates are competitive though.
Some stuff out dated. I bought yogurt when came home and opens up it was mold on it.i would prefer Lottay plaza because bunch of variety and definitely fresh too....
Everything’s good apart from the chaat corner they came up with. HIGHLY PRICED AND HIGHLY OVERRATED. $11.99 for Pani puri, sev puri, Dahi puri?????? I’m just a customer who’s expecting good taste and decent price.
Got all my great seasonings here.
Nice to have - indian grocery store - we can get all indian grocery from one place, But they need to add some more fresh vegetable - this is only one point i want to add.Over all good to have in chantilly.
You can get pretty much all Indian groceries
Lots of thing you can buy for day to day use
Small place with a good collection of Indian stuffs... always collect paneer and spices from this place...
Cheaper than nearby Indian grocery stores. Friendly staff. Easy returns compared to other Indian grocery stores.
Smaller than the Fairfax one, but have it all.
Good collection of indian grocery items but not many vegetables.
All items are well organized . Best customer service in finding the products by the men over there .
Good for Indian grocery.
A good place for quality Indian grocery!
Good shop, has many desi grocery items.
NiceI found most items I needed but no assistance was offered. I noticed Indian patrons were assisted. I was the only non-Indian descent customer in the market at that time.
Been to that place many times. The worst customer service ever experienced. Specially the guy in the front counter( with glasses) he looks at the customer as if he is giving free stuff & we are waiting to grab them. The ladies at the counter are also so rude. No proper greeting, like I said they treat like you are getting stuff for free.Never try to talk to them about their behavior you will get an attitude ( you want the stuff so you come to my store, we dont need your business.get out of my store) Dont ever bother to ask them for locating stuff, you get answer as if are you blind and cant even see it.Wish management takes care before hiring such people or at least train them in customer service.Show some respect. Customer atleast deserves a smile & a greeting . The guys from lotte market or any other Desi store are better trained in customer service and know how to treat them. Just lost a customer because i may not go back ever. I would rather travel extra miles then being getting disrespected.
Nice place to shop for Indian groceries and sweets
Have many things interesting
Small Store compared to Lotte. But good selection of indian spices and vegetables.
Even though you get all the Indian stuff here, you need to make sure the stuff youre buying is not expired! I ended up buying few things that were already expired. Not only this store, but most of the Indian stores in Virginia should stop keeping expired stuff in their stores.
Less complicated shopping and great price.
Clean and good place to shop Indian grocery.
I like the new expansion of the store. It is 3 times of its previous size and have now included a utensil and sweets section.
Good collection of Indian stuff
Needs more aisle room especially for Asha Chaat.
Indian groceries... small heaven
Good place for Indian groceries
Costlier when compared to other near by Indian groceries
