Nice store with pure vegetarian food and street food. Family owned business and owner cook the food. She her food and quality is really good. You also get Chat and famous golpas like in Indian street. Please try their food.

Was hesitant to walk in here given the reviews. The commentary on here would challenge a Bollywood D grade drama.My experience- Seemed like no one was working. The grocery store section was disheveled entirely. Things on the floor, the rows were messy, nothing organized nor clean.Not sure where the positive reviews are coming from... maybe the business is having some bad times. Clean up the store, organize it, have someone attentive working and hopefully customers have a better experience. Way too many better options in the area for me to go back. Such a bummer because I was looking forward to trying the Chaat!

A total messy store!Many items dumped at the center table (mind you many of them look absolutely stale).The spacing between the aisle is such that no two people can stand together!Prices not convincing enough when we have two really big and established options just 500mts away. The prices for most of the items werent marked.The refrigerators arent working (seems so because the ice cream was literally flowing!!).

Staff about as friendly as your average silent 7-11 clerk, which is fine.Good selection of options, especially vegetarian ones, including vegetarian top ramen, which I didnt know existed.Prices are fair but much like 7-11 very inconsistently marked.Minimum purchase for credit card might annoy some but if you understand how predatory the cards are to the businesses, youd understand them doing that.I would personally like to see more indian/foreign beverages to try, I know theyd need to be marked up high but still.Enjoyed, will stop in if Im back in the area.EDIT: Never claimed they were expired. Product photo is an example of the unique wares of the store.

Its a good place to go but the service is really bad. I ordered sweets and they packed it really bad and all of the sweets popped out of the box into the plastic bag when I checked. Also the owner didnt show any respect while taking the order just because I ordered less quantity.

The store owner is trying to take advantage of the covid situation in pickup and delivery orders. I have tried both types of orders and everytime they send extra quantities of items in my order. For almost every item they send extra quantities. If I dont mention any quantity that obviously means I want 1 quantity and not 2. They are just trying to increase their sale by forcefully adding items in everyones order. They did this to my friends orders also. I will give a very simple eg: I ordered 3-4 pieces of bananas/apples and they send me 2 dozen bananas and 5lb apples instead. What will I do with that many items. Its wastage of food as well as my money. And who wants to drive back so far away to return items that too in covid situation. Please stay away from this place for pickup and deliveries.*****Response to below owner comment****When I informed you about all extra items added to my order over phone, you told that you will send someone to pick up the items. But next day you said you will not send anyone and i have to come to the shop to return extra items. But when i came to the store to return, you did not accept return of ANY of my item which we discussed giving covid as an excuse.Attached is the pic of Oil container still sealed and leaked like the way you sent me, that you are claiming is opened and the converstation where you asked to come to the store and you will refund the items(which you never did).It is not about how much money you are making by these unfair practices, if you are even making $1 by lies and unfair practices it needs to be called out so that all customers know about it. If you really want to build a customer base stop telling lies and try to be a man of your words.

Variety is ok.but nothing so special as I was expecting from the radio ads... its similar like other Indian grocery stores.they do have some specials going on since its newly opened

The last couple of times I bought snacks from them, it was not fresh. They have a habit of re-frying the pakodas which worsens the taste and is unhealthy too. I will look else where for fresh snacks.

Such a bad experience. The snacks I bought was refried in the oil and the taste was very bad and unhealthy too. The chilli bajji stuffing had a stale taste. The chaat is too tangy and no other taste...When I told the review over phone the owner replied very rude...

Excellent place for Indian sweets.....highly recommended. Neil was very helpful in completing custom order sweets in a short notice for my get together in Florida. I will definitely order sweets from this place for my future needs.

This owner is a CHEAT and CROOK, ever since the pandemic started, they have removed the price labels for most of the products, and they charge higher amount at billing counter. Even if you find a label, they do not honor it.Absolute No for me and my friends. I would suggest everyone not to get cheated on your hard earned money at this store.Sont buy unless there is a price label is present and the owner honors the price.

Taj Grocery is great! They are always well stocked, have a lot of variety, and excellent customer service. I’m always greeted with a smile and feel very welcome. Their sweets are also fresh and delicious!!

We love the sweets and pani Puri here so much that its our weekly stop, absolutely fresh and tasty. All the sweets are fresh and much better then what you get pre-made on other indian stores.

I don’t understand why people complain to the variety of products as this is a store on the smaller scale yet they still have a great amount of products available. More importantly you get treated as if you’re family every time you enter the store. The store owners are so warm and welcoming and always accommodate to the needs of their customers. They also offer delivery and curb side pick up, I don’t bother going to Lotte anymore because I know taj always has me covered.

They have such great employees and staff. Everyone is so nice and super helpful, especially during covid-19. Their prices are completely reasonable and they have an amazing delivery service right now, which has been so helpful to out of state people like me trying to get food delivered to my parents and grandparents in Virginia and D.C.

The reviews some of the people have left for this store seem like those folks are just bored with life. Complaining that the store isnt as large or cheap as food lion is absurd. Suggest for those to take an economics course.Taj has the best prices around town, fresh snacks and sweets that taste like home in India, and do home delivery on groceries. What else can you ask for?

What a lovely store. Easily the cleanest Indian grocery store I have visited in the past 3 years. Variety is amazing given that they just opened 5 months ago. Will 100% visit again and would highly highly recommend. The lady at the counter was incredibly sweet too.

I went today for some fresh vegetables and other stuff . Store was very clean and store have all the desi grocery. Owner is very friendly . If you are looking for fresh vegetables and other stuff go to the taj grocery you got everything from there.

Great place; nice people. Under new management as of a few months ago. The last time I went, I was able to find everything I needed and the people that worked there (or owned it) were very helpful. Im adding this to my preferred list of places to shop when I need some Indian groceries. Gave it only four stars, because like every other Indian shop; its a bit cramped. At some point perhaps a group of business owners could get together and open up a decent sized Indian grocery store on par with the likes of HT, Giant, or Food Lion.

Taj Groceries is a one stop shop for all my Indian grocery needs.......the delicious mithai (sweets) and friendly customer service are added bonus! The store is very clean and well organized. The owners are extremely knowledgeable about their offerings and are willing to listen to the customers and bring in new products according to the demand. They offer delivery and curb side pickup which were critical during the COVID lockdown. Personally, I prefer a quick grocery trip to a well organized store like Taj Groceries over going to huge crowded stores like Lotte.

This is one of the cleanest places I have ever seen and Well-maintained. The groceries out here are always clean and fresh and more than anything the owners are very very helpful in what do you want to find every time you shop. Highly recommend For quality of groceries, things may be 20 cents more but worth it.

I went to Taj grocers last weekend for a pick up order due to covid 19. Turns out they didn’t have some of stuff which they did not tell me on phone prior which is okay. Hence, i went in. First, Going in i tried to keep social distancing and it was a whole mess!!!! They got so offended that they started verbal fight with me. It was HORRIBLE experience. Store owners need to educate themselves about how important it is to educate themselves about covid 19, all precautions, social distancing and all. Seems like they think covid 19 is a joke, which is crazy.

This store has some really unique finds like Indian ice cream, snacks, and REALLY fresh mithai. It’s always clean and well stocked.

I have always had issues with the cleanliness of Indian Grocery Stores but this one is not one of them. Super clean, fairly priced, friendly environment and delicious Indian sweets. Highly recommend

I would Not recommend this store at all. I will Never ever step in again. I wish I could select -ve 10 rating for this store.1. Most of the food stuff they are selling are expired or about to expired.last moths I went to buy Mustard oil and found half of the oils (mustard, Canolla, vegitable ) and Desi Ghee were expired long time ago (almost an year ago) which were lying on back side on the table. Paneer found in freezer were expired, I showed and bring into notice to the owner. He gave weird justification that distributor just brought in and the distributor gave them expired stuff. Lolz. First in place please dont go to this store, if you go check dates on packaging.2. last week I bought Priya mango pickle . It was super super salty and tastes disgusting. I went back next to return, the lady owner Bindu Ji refused to return it. She was very disrespectful to me . She would do the same ( return the stuff if she doesnt like or if its bad) if she buy buy some thing from any non desi store (Costco/BJs/ Harris Teeter) etc. But she disrespected my rights as a customer.I will Never EVER step in Taj Groceries store again.DO NOT GO THERE....

Would put 0 stars if I could. Very rude owner. Yelled at my kids when they went to pick up the payment for the food that they ordered for us. Would not pay for a month as well. Told us to deal with his wife but then said to leave her alone and deal with him. Called us poor businessman with poor quality even though we sell over $85000 of indian food in a year. Tried to act very smart and would not pay the full amount. Said that he would rather through the food away than pay for it. Would not listen to us at all. Very immature and has poor customer service. Started yelling at my kids while they remained kind. Also told them to speak nicely since hes older. But all my daughter said was that she doesnt care how he pays, whether its whether it is check or cash, they just need the payment. Extremely rude and acts like a know-it-all

Has sign outside “Fresh Sweets” but sweets are stale, very old. Jalebee were open. I should hve know seeing it. Sweets are no good.

Taj Grocers, Chantilly, is now my GO TO place for all Indian groceries and for all my Diwali mithia and farsaan/savoury appetizers! They are exceptionally clean and very organized! The customer service is personal and over and beyond superb! Go see them soon!

One of the bad place I ever experience beware before taking their food test was good of their samosa and we take more to home and when I tried warm it what I see check in the image below, I think they don’t care about people health.

TAJ grocery is Indian store. Their stuff are very old. I was trying to buy the almonds (Slices, crushed and Etc) these items have spider webs. Moreover item has LIVE mosquito (मच्छर).I asked Ritu (employee) she said May this packet, but I showed her 3-4 packets.Owner/ another employee RAJA misbaved badly and asked me to leave the shop.Don’t Buy anything from that store. I’m writing to Food department as well .

This is the most organised and neatly kept Indian grocery store in NoVa. The staff is very warm and helpful. They even have Patanjali products and very fresh produce. Because of their systematic way of arranging the products and quick check out, you can be in and out of the store in minutes. 👍🏼👍🏼
