I loved it spent time browsing and grab a while stack of new books for my continuing horde of books loo. The shop keep was so nice and offered a tote for me to carry all my new book babies home.Love how they had photos of previous book signings and even signed copies as well, both new,old and all genres are here.

I found this book store via Instagram promoted by another well known yogi advertising for signed copies by the author of The Witchs Heart. The price they were selling the book for was reasonable, and I was excited to receive a book that I could add to my collection. I ordered this book online seeing is I live out of state. When I received my book the box it was shipped in looked like it was sitting in water. I wasnt concerned as of yet since I figured the retailer would take the proper precautions in packaging the novel with care. Upon opening the package they had not! My book was soaked through and the binding was starting to rip apart. So this novel that I purchased hoping it could be of some value down the line was completely ruined. I emailed the company letting them know that I wasnt seeking a refund but more than anything to save future grief and package their merchandise with better care. After several days with no reply I decided to write this review since there was no attempt in seeking to rectify the matter on the companys part. I recognize this is a small business and that they have a struggle on their hands dealing with big-box retailers. It makes me sad to see that there was no efforts in better customer service on their online platform. It is THEIR JOB to make sure that their merchandise is packed with care...we all know the couriers are just concerned with getting the package delivered no matter what condition it seems to be delivered in. That is a couriers job to ensure the package is delivered (although we would like for them to be more considerate in the care of the package)! The packaging is the responsibility of the company sending it! It would have cost no extra to place the book in a plastic sleeve, ensuring that it would have been protected from any exposure to anything along the way. I cannot speak for how the business is in person, but I am very disappointed that they seem to lack basic customer service skills when it comes to their online shoppers.3/1/21After posting the original review, the book store contacted me shortly after and rectified the matter by sending me a new copy of the book with better packaging. I do appreciate that they at least take into consideration the reviews on their company and will try to make an effort even fixing certain matters if they can.

I love bookstores and wish there were more of them! This one has a wonderful character and vibe with books well-organized and merchandised throughout several rooms. They offer a curated selection of new and used books. Id like to offer customer-service training to the employee at the front desk. He did not greet me upon entering and was unfriendly while transacting my purchase. Overall, Id give it 4 stars because it hits the mark on so many other levels.

I was excited to find a used book store in Charleston! This is a really cute store, with a variety of books both new and used. I specifically came for the used childrens books, which I didnt find many of. However, they did have some very rare used vintage classics. The prices were a bit high, in my opinion, but I still recommend the store. It is definitely worth a visit if you love books!

I love bookstores! I walked in to this one and almost automatically walked out. I asked the clerk a question. She didn’t understand me, so I pulled my mask down so she could understand me. She rudely told me to put my mask back on. I wasn’t anywhere near her. Then when I asked my question, she answered as if I had bothered her. I turned around and walked out!!!What an unpleasant experience!Wont EVER be back!

Blue Bicycle Books on King Street in Charleston is a great book store that seems like more than just a book store with the book buying experience that they are able to offer and the different events that they host. Whether you know the book that you are searching for or just browsing to find something good to read you will find it here. The staff here is wonderful and accommodating and will make sure that you are helped and find what you need. I have had a really good experience every time I have been here and it is well worth the visit and time to come here.

I enjoyed browsing here. It has a good selection of new books and used books of interest to collectors. It has an entire section devoted to Charleston and South Carolina. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because it is a bit small and limited. It is still worth the time to visit especially if one is looking for that needle in a haystack. Its possible that this store has it.

This has very quickly become one of my very favorite bookstores, primarily because of the tremendous Young Adult book festival they host each fall called Yall Fest. We went last year, and it was incredible - so well organized, very fun and just an all-around great time. My girls got so much out of it and so did I. Ive also gone to Blue Bicycle when its not Yall Fest and loved it then, too. This is a must-stop in Charleston.

BBB has a really neat book selection, and the people who work there are really helpful and friendly. The only reason I leave off a star is because I just really miss its old look with the exposed wooden beam ceilings. I feel like it gave it a cozy but adventurous type feeling, like you never knew what you may find on the shelves. But it is still very nice inside, just a little bit more formal.

If you are walking around Marion Square in Charleston you owe it to yourself to immerse in the magic of this timeless used book store. Complete the feeling of the old world and the new one meshing together by getting a vintage print of some obscure treatise on the natural discoveries of the east coast from the 18th century.

Went to make a purchase and upon going to checkout was advised by the clerk oh, I havent had a chance to reprice those yet so the price on the book is not correct. The price went from $24 to $75 because its out of print, yet a stack remains on the shelf for $24. The counter is not the place for the price change, the shelf is. Ill stick with Mr. Ks where the price is clearly marked on the shelf and doesnt change at checkout.
