Took a BYOB Candle Making Class with my boyfriend while one vacation. Angel made the Class so much fun, and interesting for all of us! The Candles came out amazing. The store had so many different scents and options for each scent! The employees were amazing and the store was beautiful!

I did a lot of research before taking my birthday trip with my best friend to Charleston and I was so excited to take the candle making class. The class was okay, but we were flying home the next day, so we had to spend additional money to have them shipped home. They told me it could take up to two weeks to receive them. I bought three additional candles to take home with me. I have tried all of them, and there is zero scent coming from them. I am frustrated and disappointed. I remember thinking that the candle store did not smell like one when I walked in, but the girl behind the counter told me that the scent would be a lot stronger when I burned them in my own home. She was wrong. I feel like I wasted a lot of money.

Myself and a group of family and friends just took a candle making class with Laura. What a great experience! Would come back a second time for another candle making class. Looking forward to going home and burning the candles.

Customer service was great. I was so excited to burn my new candles when I got home. Needless to say the candles didn’t have a smell at all. I purchased the big one and the little ones as well. I was going to take the class with my husband for our anniversary but I am going to have to pass. I find the candles to be a waste of money. I guess I can save them and use them if my lights go out from a storm or something.

Had a wonderful experience at Candlefish! We were helped by Abby who was so sweet and wonderful— every candle she recommended smelled incredible and she was super helpful about finding the perfect candle for every girl in our group. Highly recommend!

We celebrated our friend’s birthday with a candle making class. Our Chandler Haven was a knowledgeable and witty instructor. We learned great tips and facts. I can’t wait to come back to pick up our finished candles.

As a Charleston native (who now lives elsewhere) and a longtime fan of Candlefish, I visited the store a few weeks ago and was BLOWN AWAY by the service I received at the Library. A self-professed candle nerd, I was shocked that Laura was able to help me think outside the box and select scents that I normally would have quickly shrugged off as too floral, sweet, or not me. Number 12 was the hit of the day... Thanks for a great experience!

I took one of the candle making workshops a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVED it!! Our chandler Maddie was super helpful and her sense of humor made the class that much more fun and enjoyable! She paid careful attention to us to make sure that I poured the right amount of materials out (even though it took me a few times:) After class, I picked out a few more scents that I liked and Taylor M was super helpful and knowledgeable about the 100 options they have in store. I recommend making a trip to candlefish a PRIORITY when in Charleston!!!

We were really looking forward to trying the candle making class while visiting Charleston. Unfortunately our instructor was rude, made the entire process incredibly awkward and not fun at all. We weren’t able to pick up our candles and almost two months later were just told we need to pay to have them shipped. While I can absolutely understand their policy, it’s disappointing that wasn’t made clear during the class.

Taylor G led a very fun candle making class. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! And, now have two candles to take home and enjoy! Make sure you do this if you’re in Charleston. Book early.

My husband and I took a candle making class today while visiting Charleston. Taylor M was our instructor and she was fabulous! She answered any questions we had and made it super fun and interactive. I would highly recommend doing this on a couples trip, bachelorette party, family trip, etc.!

My boyfriend and I made our candles in our own personal vessels during the bring your own vessel candle class. Angel was an absolutely amazing instructor and made the class even relaxing and fun. I would highly recommend this class - for the price it’s almost the same as buying a pre-made candle and much more fun.

I cannot say that I am a huge candle fan. But this place really impressed me. It was very well laid out and designed. They have the supplies and even workshops to create your own candles. They also have a little alcohol section. My wife loved the place, as well as her sister.

Adriana was absolutely amazing! My first experience at Candlefish and definitely won’t be my last, as long as I know Adriana will be here. Her knowledge, conversation and education throughout the course was amazing and made me feel right at come and comfortable with the entire process. You can tell she thoroughly enjoys what she is doing and it shows in everything she talked and discussed with us. My friends and I took the candle making class while we were in CHS for a month and it was SO much fun. We forgot to BYOB but it was still amazing -- our chandler was incredible and it was in the cutest back part of their store. Highly recommend ! We were there during COVID and they took all the safest precautions.

We stopped in for some wedding gifts and had a great experience in the store with Taylor (who found the perfect scented candle for us). Everyone was so nice and the only regret I have is not having time to take the candle making class.Everyone was wearing masks, abiding by capacity restrictions and even better was just how kind everyone was. A must see for anyone visiting Charleston.

My girlfriend and I signed up for a candle making class, with about a dozen people. The class started off well, our candle making leader (Natty) quickly made it uncomfortable. The process consists of accurately measured wax and oil. I merely asked the opinion of the team if this was the correct amount, and i got a completely rude response. As the leader sad, its very important that we accurately measure our liquids. The team lead told the entire table to kick me in the nuts. This place is completely unimporporiate responsive and i would never come back. FYI. We paid $55 per person make 2 candles.

Went in here with my girlfriend and her sister, it kinda smelled like everything. But was really dehydrated and mentioned it while checking out and the worker said he would give me a water. I don’t understand this store but the service is incredible, highly recommend for any candle needs.

After walking by this store numerous times, I decided to try one of their candle making classes with my girlfriend for a date night. It was awesome!! The whole process of making a candle was really fun, and our Chandler, Angel, was the life of the party! From start to finish she was excellent and made the time fly by. Will was also there helping out, and was super fun and helpful!The candles are excellent quality, and the scents they have you choose from are amazing. They also did an great job with COVID precautions, so I was able to enjoy myself while also feeling safe. Overall, this was a super fun night out. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to have a fun night out!

Me and my sister, got the workshop for our mom for her birthday! And to say we had a blast is an understatement. Will and Cami were great in the storefront before and after our class. And our girl, Angel! She made our candle making memorable. She added energy and laughs to our workshop and is definitely a chandler worth seeing again. I cant express my thanks near enough for the outstanding customer service I received from Candlefish.I had ordered a couple of items from them, and a week later I received notice from UPS that my package was delivered. When I went to my post office to retrieve it, they claimed it was never dropped off. UPS claims it was. In short, the package was either lost or stolen and nobody was being truthful.When I reached out to Candlefish to ask for guidance on what to do with this situation, they exceeded any expectation I could have imagined from them. By the end of that day, they had offered to replace my order with a new one and genuinely expressed how sorry they were that this happened. Within a day and a half, I had my new package (delivered to a safer address this time) and I was so excited.This company went above and beyond to ensure I was happy, and I can guarantee Im ecstatic about how everything was handled. Many thanks to the amazing team at Candlefish for your generosity and quick response to an unfortunate situation. I will be buying my candles from yall only from here on out!

I’ve taken a few classes at Candlefish and Angel is by far the BEST instructor I’ve ever had. She was very animated and knowledgeable about the whole process. She even had my husband, who was born without a sense of smell, enjoying the class! Next time i take a class I will definitely call ahead to make sure she is teaching! When we were shopping after the class, Will was an all-star and he took the time to find my sister-in-law’s library card even though i could tell they are phasing that system out. He was so sweet and helpful and i was able to purchase her favorite library candle for Christmas.

I attended a Workshop last night at Candlefish Charleston and loved it! It was a make-up from a canceled date back in spring, when the shutdown was in effect. The credit process was seamless and we were able to add two attendees so there were four of us. Adriana was our Chandler and she was delightful. She went the extra mile to be informative and interesting and I know that each of us learned something as we chose our scents and created our beautiful wood wick candles. The whole staff was accommodating and the shopping experience in general was really lovely. The Library is a unique and really enjoyable way to discover favorite scents. I can’t wait to pick up the candles I made, today! I highly recommend the Workshop experience when you visit Charleston.

Wandered into this store on a whim and was so taken by my experience with both Maddie and Will that my boyfriend and I decided to return the following day for a candle making class with Will!It was such a fun and unique experience learning how they make candles at candlefish! Will and Maddie were both so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the company and what they were doing that their passions were infectious.I’m so pleased with all the new candles I’ve come home with and hope to return soon for a scent creation class.I’d also like to note if I were a business owner, I could only dream of employing two wonderful people like them. They were diamonds in the rough and had us giggling for hours!

I visited the Charleston location on my trip to Charleston. The staff was VERY helpful in helping me find some great candles to match my favorite scents. Unfortunately, when I got home and burned my fragrance 83 candle - there was no scent in the candle. This very upsetting as I do not live locally and can return the candle. I havent burned any of the other candles I purchased yet, however hope they have scent to them.

Cannot say enough good things. I have a very sensitive nose. Most smells will give me a headache instantly so when I went here for a work event I was nervous. The people who helped me were amazing and super understanding. I ended up finding 5! Different candles that I absolutely love and have absolutely repurchased. The candle pouring was fun, informative, and easy to follow. They helped with questions after having a tunneling issue with a candle and even replaced it! If youre visiting or live here, and like candles and smelly things. GO. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. My house has never smelled so good.

I went in to candlefish to browse and the staff was so lovely! There are numerous covid safety measures in place as well. Glynn helped me out in the store and we smelled a bunch of candles and i browsed the jewelry as well! she was so helpful and wonderful in explaining the different scents!
