I ordered a costume for a costume party two weeks prior to my party. I got a confirmation that my order was received. My card was charged. After I did not receive any notifications regrading shipping, I reached out. Kristen said she would look into it for me, but never did. Too much time had passed and I would not be receiving my purchase in time for the party. It hadn’t even shipped! I cancelled my order. Kristen responded to refer me to Emma Scott, who never bothered to email me. No one has been in contact regarding the cancellation and refund. I’ve had to dispute the charge with my bank and am still waiting for that to be finalized. What a nightmare.
Fun place to find any costume you need
I have reached out to Charleston Costumes several times in the past few years for help with my sons Halloween costumes. I know they do amazing work for stage productions, but they also took time to help me with one of my favorite times of the year. Most notoriously, they made a custom fit weathered brown leather jacket, for a little Indiana Jones. The compliments he received that night were overwhelming and I must have told dozens of people about Charleston Costumes. I really look forward to asking their help each year and seeing just what they’re able to bring to life. Definitely recommend them for any costume needs!
Simply the best resource for your costume and wardrobe needs in the entire Charleston area. It would take you a month to see everything they have. There is literally no way you could go there and not find what you are looking for.

First of all, I ordered a bustiers/corset for Halloween. Mind you I chose this company because they are a local company and I would prefer to help a small business over giving money to Amazon. I placed my order in early October and estimated it would arrive about a week before Halloween. Two days before Halloween I contacted the company, but was unable to get in contact with anyone. When I contacted UPS, they told me they have yet to receive the package from the third party shipper. When I contacted the shipper, Pitney Bowes, they kept me on hold for about two hours and when I got in contact with someone, they hung up on me. Finally, the morning of Halloween, my piece arrived. It was the wrong size and I could have found something in better quality at Party City. I suggest going somewhere else with your business. They seem to be shady and they work with shady companies to do their bidding.
Love this company! Got 2 masks from them and they are so cozy. Timely arrival, well-made, and a bit of theatre magic to boot. Highly recommend!
