You know car buying is not one of those things that most people look forward to. It can be considered a necessary evil, which is pretty much what my wife and I were expecting but were delightfully surprised to find the opposite to be true. I recently bought a Crosstrek from Williams Subaru. I contacted William to be on the lookout for one and he found exactly what I wanted, color and all! This was my first solo car purchasing experience so I was very nervous and had lots of questions with buying my first car! Aimee Clark was so wonderful to work with! Always a pleasure to connect with an Appalachian State University Alum. I had initially come to see a vehicle they had posted recently online and she was so patient with me to test drive a few until I felt comfortable with my choice! She was so helpful in helping me find the perfect car with all my criteria and I ended up getting something 100% better than I imagined - a CPO 2018 Outback with Eyesight. Big praise also to their financing staff for really working with my budget and getting me an APR that beat anything I looked at prior to coming to the dealership and for giving a great value to my Toyota Prius trade in. Huge bonus to finance through Chase bank! The entire staff truly were so friendly and informative and helped me sign all the paperwork past closing so could drive off the lot with my perfect Outback. On 7-17-21, I bought a new car from Williams Subaru. My husband and I are expecting our first child and since the car I was driving is 20 years old, I was excited to buy a safe new car for our little one. I worked with LT and he was an absolute pleasure as a salesman. Everything went fine until my husband and I sat down with the finance manager to sign the contract. He circled a price ($29K) and said, This is the price you are financing, which was correct. He then offered options for an additional 5-year warranty I could purchase. He stated, Selecting one of these will not change the amount you are financing. This would be an additional cost added to the monthly bill. To clarify, I asked, If I select the $130 option and then pay the car off in 6 months, I pay $130 for 6 months and then stop paying for the extra warranty but keep it the full 5 years? He agreed. We asked him the same question 3 more times to be absolutely sure and he agreed each time. My parents happened to be with us and they heard this exchange from just outside the managers office. Again, he stated that I was financing $29K and circled that number, but all of the final papers the manager gave me were sealed in an envelope. I had no reason to doubt anything since we had asked our questions multiple times and been reassured each time - we had covered our bases, or so I thought. When I received my first bill, an additional $6K had been added to the amount financed so that I now owe $35K plus interest. Not only have I been charged a lump sum of over $6K for this monthly fee but I am being charged interest on it as well. This is fraudulent as it was not what was repeatedly explained to me and to what I agreed. The man lied directly to my face, multiple times. I called Subarus customer service line to inquire and the service rep told me she was going to pull my contract and then disconnected the call. I have left messages for the dealerships finance department but no one has ever called me back. This is additional mental and financial stress that I absolutely do not need since I am a high-risk pregnancy currently being treated for preeclampsia. I am beyond disappointed in this dealership and have reached out to the Better Business Bureau for help in getting a resolution since I have been unable to get help by myself. If you plan on buying a car from this dealership, bring an attorney with you because apparently you cannot rely on being told the truth by their finance department, and once theyve got your money, theyre impossible to get in touch with.

I went to Williams Subaru just on a whim after totaling my first Forester the week prior. I knew without a doubt that I wanted another Forester and I wouldnt settle for anything but. Id been to four other car lots with no luck. All being priced way too high or too many miles. I was heartbroken until I happened in Charlotte at Williams. As soon as we pulled onto the lot, I told the saleswoman standing outside, Aimee Clark, what I wanted, my price range and what happened the week prior. Aimee got to work right away and found a Forester they had just gotten on the lot. We went out and looked at it and I was automatically in LOVE! I test drove the car and was set that I was going home in that one today. Aimee was so incredibly helpful and fully understood my concern and reasons why I wouldnt sway from another Subaru after my accident. She worked promptly to get the paperwork ready and within a few hours, I was driving off the lot with my dream car. The whole process was seamless and I wasnt rushed nor forced into a vehicle I didnt really want. Subaru Crosstrek 2021Drives well. Comfortable. Spacious. Originally liked the idea of engine turning off when stopped, but it doesnt seem to decrease gas burning that much. Maybe it helps the environment when multiplied by all the vehicles that do this. Side windows steam easily making visibility an issue occasionally. These are minor concerns. I really love the vehicle.

Stay away! We bought our Subaru here a couple years ago and the sales lady was nice. But anytime we try to SPEND MONEY to get the car serviced here we are ghosted. The chat support is awful and they act like you are inconveniencing them, you can leave messages and no one calls you back, they dont answer the phone or texts. We were just trying to buy a tire this last time which we could do anywhere. They make it impossible! Terrible business.

I am telling you it is worth the longer drive to go to their service department. I have owned a lot of cars in the 50 years I have been driving and this is the BEST service department I have ever dealt with ... fast, courteous, professional ... from the easy scheduling of the service appointment online, being immediately greeted when I arrived, their entire process for checking in and out of the service department, comfortable waiting area, etc. I am so happy to have a great dealership to trust to take care of my car.PS: I still love my Subaru Forester and glad I bought it at Williams Subaru!
One of my tires pressures was half of what it was supposed to be so I called to make an appointment to get my tire checked out. Special shout out to Lena who went above and beyond to make sure I was able to make an appointment quickly. Also a thank you to Adam who explained my options to me and made sure I was back on the road safely. I see myself coming to this location for many years to come as long as the service continues to be as remarkable as it has been to me these last two years.

This was the easiest car shopping experience Ive ever had. We knew what car we wanted, started the whole process online (which was so easy), then Aimee took care of everything from there. We live about 3 hours away and wanted to be as contactless as possible and with 3 kids, we did not want to sit in a dealership all day doing paperwork so she mailed us everything we needed to finalize and they even prepaid overnight shipping for us to return everything (even though we were so excited about our car, we drove down the same night we signed the papers and hand delivered them). All in all, when the tie came to get our new Ascent (which we absolutely LOVE), we were in and out of the parking lot in no time (even the kids didnt go crazy in the car while we finalized everything).Now what I really love is that even though we already bought the car, Aimee was still available and willing to answer any questions and concerns I have had even a week after (I am so sorry I keep bothering you, Aimee!).I just love how friendly and attentive this place was and still cannot believe how easy it was to buy a car from them!Clearly weve been using our Ascent a bit (did I mention we have 3 kids??)

My husband and I were in the market for a new car, and as longtime Honda drivers, we wanted to check out a Subaru to see if a change was needed. Aimee Clark was so helpful in our process of deciding whether a Subaru was going to fill our needs as a multiple dog household. She clearly explained all the features of the Forester and the Outback and prepped us for a comfortable test drive of both models. In the end, we did decide on a Honda Pilot, simply because it was familiar, and what we were used to, not because we were displeased with the Outback in any way. Aimee was as excited for us in our Pilot purchase as I feel she would have been if we had gone with a Subaru. She never made us feel pressured to make a purchase that we weren’t sure we were ready to make, and was even willing to come in early on the next business day if we needed to test drive anything again, or were ready to make a decision. Will definitely be sending any friends or family her way if they are in the market for a Subaru.

Aimee Clark was a sincere delight as a Sales Consultant for my visit on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. She personally greeted me outside of the dealership right when I walked out of my vehicle, which I considered both helpful and genuinely welcoming as someone who is not familiar with the Charlotte area. I had just left another local car dealership with a terrible experience that lead me to Williams Subaru with a sour mind and hesitance with approaching another salesperson for a pre-owned vehicle. Aimee wasted absolutely no time and was able to read the expression on my face without my explanation, and sincerely asked the reason of my visit after inviting me to sit and offering me a beverage. As a direct and straightforward shopper, I appreciated her candid response of not having the vehicle I was interested in at the time but provided other alternatives and options after learning of my long commute. Although I had a short visit and left the dealership seeking other ways to find a vehicle, Aimees professionalism and empathetic sincerity saved the rest of my day and overall experience in car buying at such a stressful time (both during the new variant coronavirus pandemic and after driving a rental car for almost a month). If the cards had aligned better for myself that day, I absolutely would have purchased any vehicle Aimee recommended. Five stars do not do enough justice of how Aimee was a saving grace for me. Stacy put together the deal with aplomb, Darius arranged the paperwork and delivery without a hitch, and Arielle walked us through the various features of what my wife refers to as the spaceship due to the level of technology with patience and detailed knowledge. Katelyn was awesome! I rolled up to the dealership dead set on buying an Ford Edge. Katelyn shows me the difference between the forester and the outback. Saturday we went to the dealership test drive both and purchased the outback! Katelyn was no pressure, very sweet and patient. This was my first new car in about 10 years and WOW has a lot changed in regards to safety. I’ve had the car about a week and I’m in love! Williams was great from test driving to finance! Easy, not a lot of “drag the day on” negotiations of for every subbing loan documents! Process was easy! I cannot say enough about Williams! They also gave me a fair trade on my Camry.
I pulled into the Williams Subaru Dealership in my 2013 Subaru Outback thinking Id like to see what improvements the newer models had that mine lacked. My car was running great, but I was curious and open to buy if I found enough reasons. I wasnt anxious or excited...just curious about what Id find. I noticed the number of cars on the lot was limited; the lot wasnt chocked full of cars as normal. I went in and I met Del Lucas, one of the sales associates. He was different than what I expected. He was genuine, not calculating (You can usually tell within 30 seconds how youll be treated.).Del was polite and respectful...even when I said I probably wasnt there to purchase—that I was curious to find what improvements the newer models offered. He smiled at that and said the newer models were totally different with significant improvements and upgrades. We discussed the details at length and he answered all my questions. Finally, I asked if I could drive a car.He mentioned that COVID-19 had delayed much of their new and used car shipments and that most all dealerships were suffering delays. He told me there was a car that matched a description of what wed discussed in the showroom. BUT, he warned... Its a new car, not used. But it matches what you want. I drove a new 2022 Outback. It was truly a far cry from my 2013 or any other Id driven. I was impressed with its handling and pickup (wasnt even the turbo model). It was peppy but an Outbacks acceleration will never give the g-force of a fighter jet! Yet it was more than enough to impress me and enough to blast from an exit onto a freeway. and then Del illustrated to new technology. Now Im not going to say it was like driving a Tesla, but Subaru is using using the same camera-assist/ computer concepts. And the car blew me away.Del was telling me about one of the features when I stopped him and said, Sold. He paused and said with a questioning look, Yes?Id like to buy this car.Wed previously discussed the price which wasnt beyond me, but was near my limit. I traded in my old Outback for a satisfying bite out of the overall cost of the new car and drove off smiling ear-to-ear.Its been about two weeks since my purchase. Ive traveled from Charlotte to Charleston twice. Im still smiling. So far the features have kept me from drifting into the lane next to me and saved me from a tapping the rear bumper of a car in front of me in a traffic slow-down. No car or SUV has fit me as well as this Outback. Thanks Del. And thanks to Fauzi Bahasuan for making the transaction painless with a quick resolution. And to Hanaa Joseph for her follow-up appointment and knowledge.If you want just a mode of transportation I suspect any car or SUV will do. But before you decide, drive a Subaru. I had never been around Subaru. As a car enthuasist, I was impressed. The next thing that impressed me was how I was treated by a sales associate Ms. Amiee Clark. She was thoughtful, professional and knowledgeable. Most of all, there was no pressure to buy. She had a new 2022 Outback touring xt gased up and let be drive off for a test drive. When I came back, they just let me leave. No pressure. I was so impressed, with the car and with the way I was treated, that beautiful car now sits in my driveway. Thank you Amiee, your the best.

Bought my first Subaru at the end of April and it was such an easy process! Kevin, the salesperson, was great! Even with the COVID19 stuff going on, Williams Subaru made it very easy. I test drove the car on my own for safe social distancing. Negotiating was done over the phone the next day. They prepared all the paperwork and had it ready when I came in to sign and I then drove away in my new Outback! I did go back a few days later so that Arielle could give me an overview of all the cool gadgets and safety features. She was very informative and saved me a ton of time from having to read that big manual in the glove compartment. I am loving my new Subaru!
I was browsing in the lot last week and Aimee introduced herself and showed me all the new models. She helped me decide on a new Forester – she was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the great features. Ariel also helped me get acquainted with all the bells and whistles. Im so glad I bought a new Forester from Williams.

We had a great experience working with the staff at Williams Subaru. Our sales person was LT who did a great job explaining the features and coverages of the car we purchased. It was also a great experience to get a price for the vehicle via text message prior to going to the dealership, which made the remainder of the process easier. We did not feel pressured as we have experienced at other dealerships.The only potential issue with our experience was at pick up of the vehicle where I noticed a screw wedged in one of the rear tires. This vehicle was transferred from another dealership nearby and I understand these things can happen. Williams Subaru replaced the tire and did their part to make the experience right. We sincerely appreciate their efforts to give us the best experience possible. I would recommend them to anyone in the Charlotte area seeking a Subaru vehicle. Thank you LT and Williams Subaru!

Darius Logan’s customer service was excellent. Unfortunately his manager Shawn Sigler was rude and extremely unprofessional. When our finance company asked if a copy of the certified check that was being overnighted would be acceptable she rudely remarked, “can I cash a copy?” Her overall behavior was seriously below any acceptable standard of customer service. Hands down she is the absolute worse car salesperson we’ve ever dealt with.
Just got a new Ascent from Lasonio LT Thompson, the trade-up manager. They did not have what I wanted so they went out and found what I was looking for in my color choice and options from another dealer in North Carolina and had it shipped in. Great job with keeping me informed as to the status for delivery. Gabrielle Garcia, the delivery manager has reached out to me to schedule an appointment to go over the features of the vehicle. This is my experience with trying to rent a car from this location.My name is Sharhonda & I called in inquiring about a car rental. The first time I called I left a message with Hanaa for Lena (who was on the phone) for a return phone call. I didn’t get a return phone call, so I called the sales department initially & hung up, thinking I had the wrong department, but to my surprise this nice gentleman called me back to see why I called (I think he thought he missed the call). I was told that the service department handles the car rental inquiries & gave me the hours of operation. I called again the next day & spoke to Lena. The actual reason for my call was to inquire about the insurance requirements. On the website I noticed full coverage is mentioned. I do not have full coverage. I have liability.The next day, Lena stated that the car I wished to rent (Legacy) was in the shop so she would have to call me back to let me know when it would be available. I told her I wanted to rent it for a full week as I wanted to test drive it & get a feel for it because I would like to purchase this car if I love it. She said she was not sure on the insurance requirement as I explicitly told her that I don’t have full coverage & wanted to know would it be a problem for me to rent it for a week to test drive. So she would have to check on that as well & call me back.Lena never returned my call. I was speaking about this to someone close to me who decided to call themselves to see if they could get more information & was not informed of the same information about the car being in the shop. Their experience was NOT similar to mine at all, as their name isn’t obviously ethnic & they received the information right away without a need for a call back on the same day I sat around & waited for my call back.I don’t think it’s professional to “pick & choose” which customers receive quality customer service based on names alone or voices. Most of us can tell the “type” of person we speak to on the phone. I also don’t think it’s professional to “forget” to get through your call backs or other work loads. Unfortunately what Lena didn’t know is that all she had to do was say no I couldn’t rent due to the insurance requirements & maybe another alternative could have been met, like me going to the sales department & asking for a ride along test drive (although I’m not super big on that due to covid but I’m going to buy a Legacy so would have done it). Lena also didn’t know that she ultimately cost this dealership a cash sale.Two weeks later I called in to speak to who I thought was the service department’s manager, Mike M. who only apologized for Lena handling this this new role alone. He didn’t want to excuse her actions, he said. He promised to check on the test drive for me with the sales department & would call me back. He didn’t either. So I’ll be going to another dealership to buy my next car.I just wanted to share my experience….. I want to be candid & say that initially I felt like my inquiry wasn’t responded to because of who I am. Had my name been Emily or I sounded like one, maybe I’d have a new car by now.

We just moved to Charlotte and was in the process of closing on our house when the rental car company told us they gave away our reserved car. We were on our way in an Uber and it felt like we got sucker punched. We joked about going ahead and buying a car, then our driver told us about Williams so he took us there. We didn’t even think a 2021 Forester would be in our range but here we are with a brand new car! Thanks to Aimee Clark and the great team at Williams Subaru!
