I was here a couple weeks ago to have an issue with my Hybrid checked out. Turns out it was an issue with the Hybrid battery and since its still under warranty, they recommended a dealership to go to for the repairs. I appreciated the honesty and Hybrid knowledge.

I always go to AAA for oil changes. While you can get it done cheaper somewhere else, what really sells AAA us the experience. As member youll save $10 on the oil change, and I often get coupons for other auto services in the mail. It typically allows me to get a full synthetic oil change with new filter, free tire rotation, and a digital vehicle inspection for $49.99. The digital inspection is really what helps justify the rest of the cost. The guys will inspect a bunch of different aspects of the car and then compile a list of things that need urgent attention, future attention, and things that are in perfect shape; all while including pictures! Helps prevent scammy places that offer services without showing you anything. You can then shop around for good rates on preventative maintenance. By spending the $50 up front you can save a costly o repair later, or a dangerous situation.Waiting area is always clean and staff friendly as a well. This location and Fort Mill are always great!

This is the only place that I take my car for service. Andrew and his team are so knowledgeable and always courteous. Even when they send someone out to change a tire or battery, they ensure that person represents them in the absolute best light. Good service with your AAA discounted price. Oil change and tire rotation are a good deal. Dont be anxious to do everything on the complimentary inspection recommendations, but dont ignore them either. Many things you can do yourself like change a cabin filter (watch youtube).

They went above and beyond to help me! Had a flat tire with no spare, so had my truck towed there, and it was right at closing time on a Friday. (Sorry Guys!) The gentlemen went right to work to fix the tire so I could make it home. Thank you so much! I am very grateful.

Do not go here! Scott Everly is extremely rude and unprofessional. He lies to cover up poor work that wasnt completed properly which damages vehicles. Absolutely 0 accountability. He looks for any excuse to place blame elsewhere including searching through the interior of your vehicle and personal items. Any push back and he kicks you out of the store. They also take forever to do basic tasks. Go Absolutely anywhere else except this store.

Went for a state safety inspection for my vehicle. I arrived a few minutes early to my appointment and they were able to get started right away. They were quick and efficient and got me in and out pretty quickly. The service was great as well.

I made an appointment for a State Inspection on my Jeep. The location was clean and the people were friendly. They finished the job in an efficient manner and I received a text and email of the report immediately after they were done. I plan to return for my car maintenance needs.

Yesterday I asked my wife to take a Tire to AAA Steele Creek the following morning to get it repaired. It had a sizable Nail-Like object stuck in it. I was out of town so my son removed the Tire and put on the temporary Doughnut for her. Fast forward to today. My wife called from AAA in Steelecreek to let me know that the Car was on the lift and the mechanic told her the tire could not be repaired because the nail was too close to the side wall. While this could be true I did not understand why her car was on the lift as the problem tire was not on the car and she had not agreed to purchase a new one. He gave her a sizeable quote for a new tire plus alignment. He also told her that her tires were getting old so she would want to consider replacing all four tires. She called me on the cell and I asked her to get out of AAA and take the tire to a reputable garage that I had used many time. Long story short the tire was patched/plugged for $20 at the other garage and there are still many miles left on the tires. While I do not feel I should accuse AAA of misleading my wife as they may very well have thought that the nail was too close to the side wall I do feel they were trying to pressure her by putting the car up on the lift and pushing for new tires. She told me that she was feeling super pressured and nervous so my biggest issue with AAA is how they made my wife feel during the process. I personally will not be using AAA in the future as a result.

This place is always packed - they offer a lot from AAA services to maintenance, you name it. Better get an appointment as they are always pretty booked, I also realized they are one of the official State Inspection places. Great service, had me in and out in no time and offered a couple recommendations. The only reason I give it a 4 star is they did leave one of the back seat levers loose and did not tighten it for some reason, the prices quoted were also just a bit higher than nearby competitor.

Always have good, and fast service here. Its conveniently located too, for food, shopping, etc - if you wait for your car.

Went to change oil. Was impressed with clean and neatly arranged set up. Charged low for fully synthetic oil change. Added tire rotation for free. However, on my way back got Low Tire pressure warning alert. My son checked tire pressure and was surprised, tires were greatly under pressure, 26, 28, 29 and 26 psi. He brought up the pressure. This was discouraging why dud they not check tire pressure on completing the rotation?

This is my absolute favorite AAA. I have had the most quality service going here and I feel like they really just want to make sure my car will be safe and comfortable on my drive home. Very professional and kind staff.

Excellent first experience at the AAA Car Care Center-Steele Creek. Easy to request an appointment on-line. My request was quickly confirmed via e-mail. The work was performed in a reasonable amount of time, which I appreciated since I was waiting on my vehicle. Prices for the services I had performed was less than I have paid in the past at the dealership. The Service Writer did a good job of keeping me informed.

I visited AAA Steele Creek to have a full set of tires installed. The tires were purchased elsewhere. Unfortunately, one of the tires was defective. However, Andrew was beyond helpful in getting the situation resolved. He clearly explained what was wrong and even spoke to the company representative directly to help me receive a new tire. He is the reason for this 5-star rating. His willingness to assist in finding resolution was exceptional. Overall, my experience was outstanding. They have a comfortable, clean waiting area, and the staff at Steele Creek are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and considerate. It is an excellent place for routine car care and maintenance.

I live in the river gate area. This places so convenient to access. I went in for a oil change, a tire rotation, and for a refill of my power steering fluid. I was therefore an hour and 20 minutes. The no up charges no scare tactics. I love this place and I will be back.

We wanted to get our vehicle checked out before going cross country. They got us right in with very little wait. Everyone was very helpful!! Definitely recommend this place.

Went for my state inspection this morning after waiting for more than 1.5 hrs, out of which 30mins my car was outside after the inspection, the rep called me saying all done and said it didnt pass because one tire was bad. Why was I not told this when the car was in the shop floor not sure, could have used the spare for the inspection, but no.. they want me to get a new tire and come back again. During the time of covid, they want me to visit multiple time just because. Oh and they charged me for the failed inspection aswell.

Have gotten great service at AAA Steele Creek. The staff is always friendly. Had a battery go bad and they were at my house within 15 minutes of my call. Had my oil changed at their garage and they texted updates and were fast and very helpful. Will go to them for all car care needs in the future.

Had oil/filter changed, tires rotated, full vehicle inspection...in and out in just over an hour. 1st time there, no complaints. They even replaced a missing lug nut, no charge. Im an AAA member, and will go back.

I feel the work was done Correctly by a Certified Auto Mechanic and am very pleased. They are a little slow so if youre not leaving the car and picking it up later, be prepared to wait. And Im not sure an Appointment would speed things up because I brought my wifes truck after installing some missing Bolts without one. Had to wait for one car ahead of me. First time took a long time, they did not charge me and advised that some Bolts were missing before they could complete the Alignment. So I dont think they would try to rip anyone off. I feel pretty good about them working on my cars and would highly recommend them for your car repairs.

I came out of the doctors office and noticed that you had a repair shop there and thought being new to the area I would check to see if you did inspections. I was greeted by the friendly staff who helped me feel very comfortable with the process. I couldnt believe how painless these guys made it. Thanks so much for the excellent customer service. Great place to take your car. Beautiful and clean facility. Exceeds my expectations when it comes to car care. My sons jeep needed new tires and had a few other issues. Scott and Andrew were very informative and treated me fairly. I am not a AAA member, but that didnt matter. I will be back for sure.

I wouldnt go no place but here. I had a truck before and they took very thorough pictures of whats needed so I could get it fixed. Im staying with AAA because nobody can beat them or their prices.

I made an appointment online for the state inspection. They called me the next day and said their state inspector would not be in that day and so we rescheduled for Friday morning of that week. All went well and I was out in 40 minutes after arriving. Note that you do need an appointment for an inspection. I tried to get my car inspected there by just dropping in the week before and was told they had no openings. I assume that is a good sign. Either they are popular because they are good, or the demand is so high and there are not many alternatives. I suspect it is the former.ADDITIONAL info after second experience in 2020(above was March 2019 experience): Again, automated online appoint process was very easy. Work was done in 30 minutes, and a very detailed report was emailed, including pictures of tire treads, air filter and brake fluids test paper. At no time did anyone try to upsell me anything. Overall it was an excellent experience.

On Sunday night, my transmission linkage disengaged - so it was towed in on a rollback for repair. Its expected to be ready at 2pm on Tuesday.

A few experiences before were average but the last visit was annoying. No one likes being ignored at the counter for about 10mins..... my car is parked in the front with 30 mins before closing and Im the only customer standing in front of you....I dont think acknowledging Im there is unreasonable

We have been taking our car here for years. At first all was great and we had no complaints. I have asked them every time they do an oil change to rotate my tires and I had suspected they had not been for a while. This time I have confirmation that they did not do it and I have decided I will NEVER take my car back there. They have lied to me for years about something as simple as a tire rotation....what else are they dropping the ball on?I will pay dealership prices from now on for trustworthy work.

Called at 4:50 (they close at 6pm) and they got me right in. Took about an hour from start to finish. They didnt over charge me. I would definitely go back.

I typically come here to get my oil changed. They send coupons so you can get an oil change and tire rotation for $20 which is a better deal than I can find anywhere else in Charlotte.I always make an appointment and theyre usually running on time, but sometimes I still have to wait for a bit. They have been flexible about squeezing me in when my battery died and I needed a new one at the last minute.They have a nice waiting area and store if you wait while they are working on your car.They are also friendly and helpful. I will continue coming here since you cant beat their prices.

AAA performed scheduled maintenance on my 2017 Prius and I thought they did a good job for a very reasonable charge. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and I was in and out before I knew it. I recommend them highly.

These unethical con men tried to sell me $500 worth of unnecessary work. Luckily I am a mechanic for a living and I do not pay anyone to work on my cars unless absolutely necessary. I knew they were lying when they tried to say that my wheel would fall off if I didnt let them put on a new wheel bearing and hub. News flash! The wheel bearing doesnt hold the wheel on, the axle nut does, and it is brand new. Furthermore, the bearing would make noise long before it fails which allows plenty of warning time to have it replaced.They copped a very condescending attitude when I balked at their BS recommendations and the work they did do on my car was sloppy at best. Their bosses boss, Seth Smith, decided to stand by his efficient team when I brought this matter to his attention so I have submitted a three page detailed report to AAA corporate.If you know nothing about cars you can plan on being ripped off. Unfortunately, studies have proven that this is the case no matter where you go if you are a woman but that AAA car care is pulling the same cons as your run of the mill auto mechanic huckster is shocking.My recommendation? Bring a mechanic with you?

If I could give them zero stars I would. I took my car in two weeks ago because the air-conditioner suddenly stopped working. They told me it would take 30-45 min and I had my 1 year old with me so I popped him in the stroller and we went for a 1 hour walk. We got back and they still had not figured anything out with the car so I ended up waiting another 30 minutes. They said everything they tested looked good so I guess they narrowed it down to the internal temperature sensor going bad but werent sure. After I paid $65 for the diagnosis that ended up not really being a diagnosis, they said it would be $350 for the part and labor of replacing the internal temperature sensor. I got the feeling that they either had no idea what they were doing or that they were just trying to charge me as much as possible.Finally my usual mechanic, Lake View Auto Parts, was able to fit me in and after thoroughly troubleshooting the issue they decided I needed to have the blower motor replaced. They charged me $150 for a new blower motor and labor and now my AC is working great. I would strongly advice anyone from taking their car here, the only reason I did is because my mechanic was very busy and I couldnt drive my two kids around in the summer with no AC. I may as well have thrown $65 in the trash...

I HAD MY 2005 FORD FOCUS TOWED TO THE SHOP. THEY KEPT IN TOUCH WITH ME AND REPAIRED MY VEHICLE IN GOOD TIME. THEY EVEN WORKED WITH ME ON AN ALTERNATOR RETURN MATTER. THEY ARE A REALLY GOOD GROUP OF PEOPLE.TONY COTTON.

Beware, brought my car in for an inspection and was told it would fail due to a daytime running light was out. 26 bucks to replace, had no choice so had them replace. Noticed there was no field on the report and questioned it and was told it was considered under headlights. Contacted NC DOT and was told that As daytime running lights are not mandated, they are not enforced. Ripoff !!!! Daughter brought her car in for a complete diagnostic test for check engine light. Was told 1600.00 bucks to fix which included new Plugs & wires. We had just replaced both 2 months ago! When confronted tech said we had no record of it so thats why it was included??? By the way, bought two sensors for under $100.00 total and problem was fixed!. Do not use these people!!!!

Great car care center. The employees are always friendly, patient and helpful. And their shuttle service is an indispensable asset for when you dont want to take off work for car repairs. The facility is also the cleanest auto shop Ive ever been in.

I am not very happy with their service. They did not even top-up wiper fluid during the regular oil service. The promise dropping back to home and pick-up, once you go there, the service is not available, as the shuttle driver is not available for next two hours.

I have had a very positive experience working with the Steelecroft Car Care Center. Four years ago I brought my 94 Camry into them for service. They did all of the required maintenance and any needed repairs over that period of time. I think they treated me fairly and their work was excellent. As a result, I decided to stay with the AAA family (AAA Auto Sales) when it was time to buy a new car.

I needed a new air conditioning unit and they had the most reasonable price of 4 other places. Brought it in and they gave me a ride back home. It was finished same day, picked me up, job well done. Very pleasant and courteous and I plan on going back for oil changes and other issues when they arise.

Ive come here multiple times, since I hold AAA membership, for my oil change. With the service you should have all fluids topped off. This is my 3rd time noticing none of my fluids were touched. In fact, they are all on the LOW marker. Very frustrating as its a simple part of the service, but apparently something they skip often since this has happened multiple times to me. They also seem to try to sell me on other repairs and higher oil each time. Beware. I will not be returning.

My daughters car died. These folks didnt try to sell me repair after repair after repair, which is what Ive experienced elsewhere. When the anticipated (inexpensive) repair didnt fix the problem, Mike discussed options with me and explained why we might want to consider not doing them. My daughter is now delighted with her new car, Ive returned to this AAA more than once, and I recommend it to everyone.

I have taken my car to the AAA facility in Steelcreek, Charlotte, NC. twice for quotes for relatively simple items (muffler repair & serpentine belt). The quote has been, at minimum, 2x the cost at other repair shops. They always find something else wrong to boost up the charges. I am sure they have great folks that work there and do a good job (just like many other places), but they seem to be more interested in charging higher rates. I have been warned about their charging by several friends. Too bad, they are driving that reputation as AAA has such a good name.

All staff members were ready to help from the moment I walked in. I was contacted throughout the day keeping me informed. I’m definitely going to only use AAA Car Care.

45 minutes my hiney! Still waiting for a car that was promptly pulled into the shop over 90 minutes ago for an oil change and tire rotation. Give me a floor jack and a cinder block and I could have rotated the tires faster! My recommendation find someone who has a bit more motivation. At least they gave me time to write this review...

Purchased tires from Tire Rack and had them shipped to this AAA. I made the appointment online through the AAA website and the appointment was confirmed within a few hours. The price for tire install, balance, tpms service, and disposal of old tires was very reasonable. The service was complete in less than half an hour. All of the staff at this location were friendly. A mechanic that didnt even work on my car waved good-bye as I drove away. Highly recommend.

Price is a moving target. The price when I showed up was more than quoted on the phone. And then after the service they charged me a Supplies fee without mentioning it, just saying there was tax. I guess taxing service is a new NC law. I cant imagine what supplies they used up mounting some tires, maybe I am paying extra for the air in the tires.To top it off when I checked after waiting 45 minutes they were just getting started on it, even though I had an appointment. Had to wait 25 more minutes than they said. In the waiting room I was hearing them try to upsell everyone. Was hoping to find a reliable place; Im going to keep looking.
