Have had nothing but a positive experience here working with this location. They base their service off of common core values every company should have. Honesty, integrity, professional service. The manager Chassity has always done her best to service our amazon fleet within a timely fashion. If it wasn’t for her help, we wouldn’t have our vehicles back on the road so fast. I felt confident to send my personal vehicle here as well.Remember, this is a small lot and they push volume. They do their best, and in my opinion they are the best. Thanks tuffy

My car was overheating bc there was a leak. They charged me $1,200 to fix it. I had the same problem a week later - took it back for them to fix it again they said it was because I was blasting my A/C. I had the same issue AGAIN, the next week. I took it to a different place where they completely replaced the part that was broken, said the clamp they put on the hose was too big, they showed me everything they replaced and fixed. I have had ZERO issues since. They overcharged and only temporarily fixed the issue - seems like they just pushed the hose overtop of the leak and tried to clamp it. Very unsatisfied and sick to my stomach for how much they charged me.

The customer service was amazing, helpful, & treated me like family. They replaced my a/c compressor, belt, & fill up the up with Freon. My a/c works like a champ & blows extremely cold air. Thanks for the great job and I will continue to come see them in the future for my upcoming repairs.

Unfortunately after the fourth time coming to Tuffys, my car is still having the same issue. This is unbelievable and Im dumbfounded. At this point I need corporates email and phone number. I went in for a simple oil change and will alignment and now my car’s steering wheel is shaking like no tomorrow. They made me buy a new tire rod and my my visit cost me approximately $400. If everything was fixed I would not complain, however the job was not complete and I’m furious at this point.

I have been coming to this Tuffys for 2 years and have never had a bad experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and is more than happy to walk me through any issue, even going so far as to show me the issue on my car while reviewing the options. I feel completely confident bringing my car here for any issue.I was last here for an oil change and received excellent and friendly service from Scott.

LITERALLY JUST WENT TO THE BUSINESS JUST TO GET AIR IN ONE OF MY TIRES, SAT OUTSIDE FOR MORE THAN 10 MINS ON MY LUNCH BREAK, IF NOT 10 MINS JUST FOR AIR. Not sure why masks were not being worn by staff members and some customers, but nevertheless the service was great!

They changed our oil and this picture was taken right after we picked it up. Completely over filled it. When I brought it back to have it drained they proceeded to act like it wasn’t to far over the line and they acted like I was ridiculous for bringing it back.Despite the oil change incident we for some reason had them diagnose our AC issue. The misdiagnosed the problem. Replaced the low pressure line. Then the replaced the high pressure line. The AC still won’t work. Now the are saying the problem is the compressor. After paying the $515.00 the now want another $1000.00 for the ac compressor.I wouldn’t trust these guys to change a tire. Go somewhere else

AVOID! Good honest services are provided elsewhere!! Took my car for alignment and they quoted me $450 for back brake pads and rotors change. I ordered parts and had my husband change it. Our rotors were great, brake pads were used 40-50% only!! Not even near their statement: “metal to metal rubbing”!!!! I hate places that do this for living!! I doubt they do this to ladies only!!!

I felt that Tuffys did a great job for me today and also at a fair price. They didnt try to upsell me and just did what is needed with some added suggestions. I will be going back to them!

They work good but over charge me more than double for parts i understand that always changes little extra but they charge me way too much example part the cost 79.00 they charge 209.00 each a part that cost 22.00 they charge over 100.00 and they did alot work in my car for them to charge me so much this is only example in some of the part i didnt got see the statement before they did the work if i would see it before how much they was charging me for the parts i would not let them do the work in my car

I was taking my mom to the airport after a lunch stop when my car wouldnt start. Thankfully I was right next door to Tuffy and the team there went far above and beyond for us. Not only did they quickly and professionally fix my car, they also drove my mother to the airport. Im naturally distrustful of mechanics and they could easily have taken me for a ride saying I needed a lot of work done. Instead, they clearly explained everything and fixed what I needed during a stressful time. Extra big thanks to Douglas, Aaron, and Kyle. I will definitely be back and strongly recommend these guys!

Purchased 4 tires, took 45 min to complete the job and received a great deal! Chastity was great and had great customer service. She took her time over the phone to find me the best deal on the tires. Will definitely continue doing business with them.

I have been to this business twice in the past two weeks. Once to have the state inspection on my vehicle then I returned today to have my elderly mothers vehicle inspected. I was surprised when the receptionist was not wearing a mask inside the office. There is no protective barrier in place either. I asked a service worker what their mask wearing policy was and he replied that they would wear a mask inside a person’s vehicle only if asked. So be advised they will go in your vehicle after being inside someone else’s vehicle without a mask. I am very disappointed.

Chastity Neal the manager here is absolutely amazing she is always friendly and extremely helpful every time I come in. I love her customer service not just with me but with other customers. She is the reason this tuffy’s location is doing well. If she isn’t working on a day I come in I won’t get my service done until she is back. She takes pride in her job and it come natural for her to be the best person she can be!

Sometimes the service is straightforward and quick. other times they use ages old scare tactics to get easy money (power steering fluids, gasket replacement, etc). not a good look.

I would not recommend and I think you should proceed with caution. Heres the scenario - I had my car towed there with a part in the front seat to install - It was a coolant water pump. We had agreed prior to the install that they would perform the work. The tow truck arrived at 4:15 and unloaded the car and left around 4:25. I received a call at 5:10 PM telling me the work was done. I was elated. I picked up the car and got sticker shock with a $370 bill. They had billed me for 2 hours of labor $120/hour. Well ignore the fact that they must be hiring PHDs to do their repairs at that rate and focus on the 2 hours of billing. How could you charge 2 hours of billing when the car was there for 45 minutes? I should also mention they did a coolant flush during this time period as well. When I called the manager informed me 2 people did the work. That might be the case for some work, but this is a one person job. At the MOST she told some new guy to watch another guy install it and the least its open fraud and over billing. This is why people hate taking their cars to the mechanic. Ive been to Tuffys twice and blown away at the bill on both occasions. I will not be going back and unless your cool overpaying, I would steer clear as well.

Horrible untrained workers,, poor management customer service

I have been going to Tuffy for almost three years now since working literally walking distance from the shop. Today I decided to take my car for an oil change just like I do when it’s time to. I was told today that they are under new management and I was like oh, but when the lady asked me what I was there for she told me I needed to have my licenses plate and mileage down and I should be aware of my car. That she was just shocked at how many people that didn’t know these things but I’ve been going here for nearly three years and when I would go in I would just tell the guys at the front my name and they would take my keys and tell me they would text me when it’s done. I’ve never had to have that information upfront. So yeah I didn’t jot down my stuff before going in. The way she came off was just rude and I just didn’t get the service I expected the last time I was there. I kinda miss the guys who use to check me in, not only myself have felt this way but my whole office. Just disappointed with the service I received today.***After leaving this review, I was contacted by Tuffy and was very pleased with how they addressed the situation. Thank you so much. I have since then been back and also referred my brother. They got him in and out and he as well was please with the service.

I was going to write a one star but the manager who came out to talk to me was a lot more polite and knowledgeable than the old guy who work up front. I had appointment for an simple oil change but didnt get my car back till 1 and a half hour later.The old guy behind the desk was so rude he even told me to shut my mouth when I tried to reason with him about the extra charge he was gonna put on my oil change cause he didnt know how much oil my car needed before he quoted me on the price (note he has all my car information year make and model before he quoted me) his lack of car knowledge was the reason for the wrong price quote, not my responsibility to pay what was not agreed upon and then he said he wont give me my car back unless I pay it and shut my mouth.After I talked to the manager and seeing the manager was a decent human being I was thinking I might visit again and I offer the rude clerk a handshake and told him no hard feelings because maybe he acted that way because of the heat of the moment and we all humans none of us is perfect all the time but and then he refuse to shake my hand at the end even after the situation has been settled. If your clerk isnt mature enough to coincide even after a dispute is ended, dont trust them with ur car or ur money. So Im not going back if that old amateur little cry baby is going to have anything to do with my vehicle or my ticket.So it went back to one star because of the refused handshake after they got my money.

I moved to Steele Creek with my family almost three years ago and we’ve been going to Tuffy for 80% of our mechanical needs! And I must say every time we don’t use them we end up back there either way. It’s hard to find good customer service and quality work but they excel at both consistently. They are always up front and honest. They show us what is going on and let us know what needs to be done and always work with us on pricing. Overall very accommodating and QUALITY services. Highly recommended.

The most dishonest people I’ve ever met in my life! Took my car in for an oil change. Drove home and car had a strong smell of gasoline. Had no issue before the oil change. Now I have gas leaking from somewhere!!?? My boyfriend took his truck to fix an issue on left side. He bought the parts because they wanted to charge 500.00 over the actual cost of parts alone and labor prices went up 100 dollars after he brought the parts to them! He also told them he wanted to keep the old parts that they were replacing, they scraped them.Now he has an issue on the right side of his truck. After paying over 300 dollars he has a new issue and can not drive his truck. Now he is unable to work. Don’t waste your money. They will rob you!

Tuffy has great customer service, fair prices, and lots of discounts. Chastity at the front is awesome! They make going to the mechanic ALMOST a good time (as close to a fun experience as one can have at a mechanic). This location has a reliable staff who is well educated and works hard for the consumer. Highly recommended!

Absolutely the worst experience I have experienced. First and for most the owner Mike Williams is full of excuses. From his store manager is going through some personal issues, its a coincidence, to its your fault.I am the Transportation Director for a NEMT company and Tuffy serviced our fleet of vans. Tuffy offers a great deal for an oil change and tire rotation. Only they werent doing the tire rotations. So my fleet of vans unnecessarily went through tires prematurely. So after discovering that our tires were not being rotated I chalked my tires the next visit.After, first bringing it to the store managers attention (who preceded to question my integrity and berate me in front of the frint desk and customers) I brought it to the owners attention who said it was just a coincidence and his manager was having a bad day.Fast forward I have brake issues on one of our units (front and rear) Tuffy had to redo the workmanship on the front because they were done improperly. Then I had to get another shop to redo the rear brakes. When I tried to call Mike in re to the brake issues he questions my intelligence as a businessman and told me to talk to Rachel at Corporate if I had any further issues *wow*To receive this level of service during a Global Pandemic and everyone is strapped for cash because of Covid-19 is infuriating.

I came to Tuffy in November for a routine oil change. I got a coupon in the the mail -- something like $20-$25 for an oil change. After talking with the mechanic I decided to go for a slightly more expensive oil ($45-$50?) because I have a 2010 Honda with over 150,000 miles on it and knew it would be negligent to put crappy oil in it. So after that - I waited. After about 40 minutes later I was told my car was ready. I didnt think the wait was too long because I saw they had 5 other cars in their shop and figured they were just very busy. The owner informed me that my car should have been in and out much faster and he apologized and said the oil change WAS ON THEM TODAY. I was shocked. Im all for great service but this was above and beyond and MADE MY DAY! Ive gone to a Honda dealership in the past and waited just as long as this for an oil change. I realize shops get busy. So THANK YOU Tuffy for being so accommodating and making it your goal to get customers in and out fast!

Today was my first visit and I was overwhelmed by the great customer service. Chastity was very nice to me, and then I met Roger and i knew that I was in the right place. His knowledge for cars was exceptional. So now Tuffys is were ill be going for all my auto needs.

Went in to see what was wrong with my car, turned out to be a quick fix that they got done RIGHT AWAY and called me back to pick up my car! They were all so nice, professional, and very knowledgeable about everything automotive. Would definitely recommend to family and go back myself!

I can’t rave about them enough. I’ve been coming to Tuffy for a few years now and I always have a great experience. They are knowledgeable, have great customer service, and don’t try to nickel and dime you. Just today my car wouldn’t start at the gas station across the street and a gentleman came over to check out my car and fixed it for me right on the spot! By far the best auto repair shop I’ve ever been to!

Ive had a great experience every time I had work done on my car and I will continue to visit Tuffys

They were very nice I told them everything that needed to be fixed on my car and they made it seem like they were fixing everything but when I got my car back they didnt fix everything I paid over $1,600 when I called and asked why everything wasnt fixed but I was led to believe it was they said I would get a call back no one ever called they charged me almost $600 in labor when the parts for about $950 it was ridiculous. My car still has the same issues & dont notice much of a difference

Apparently a major change of management here since I was was more than happy with the help I got.My car died just outside of the Tuffy center and I coasted into the lot. Everyone was very helpful, took out my battery tested it (good,) put a charge on it and then checked my alternator (not good!) Very quick service now and the prices are right. Chris and the guys had me back on the road in no time. Thanks Tuffy.

I don’t write reviews on anything and I’m writing a review on this place because that’s how bad it is. I went in for a 20 dollar oil change and they told me that my motor mount was busted and tried to charge me 200 dollars to replace it and my motor mount was fine. Don’t go here unless you want to be cheated. This place is so bad I wish I could give 0 stars.

My car died over the weekend and I had it towed to Tuffy (Ive taken it here a few times over the past year and had great service and reasonable costs) They informed me after looking at my car that it would be more expensive to fix the car than what its worth and didnt charge me anything for the diagnosis. I came here because I need it some serious work done on my vehicle. The work was done in a timely manner and everyone there is so nice. Especially the lady with the red hair behind the counter.

I will not go back since they lost my trust...I went to get a quote on my car and they gave me a really high one (I suspected) I then went to get a quote from another place (Oak Grove Auto Sales, Service & Body Shop) in Kings Mountain who I trust and It turned out that they not only quoted me way high, what they quoted me on was not really the problem...saving me over $800.

Tuffy takes care of my auto needs for both my cars. Always friendly, knowledgeable and definitely service oriented. My cars are in tip top shape with them. Definitely go visit.

Awesome service! Very friendly! Called ahead and got a quote on a new clutch. They were the best price, so I went with them. Ended up needing another part on top of what was quoted, but they did not exceed​ their quote. Would definitely recommend them!

I think that this place is really good. They have a clean waiting area and nice managers. They work with me on pricing all the time. I have been going here for years and have never had a problem. Now that TJ is back I am definitely going to continue coming to this shop. They work on all my cars and do a great job. Even my foreign cars!!

I was rapidly losing air in my tire as I traveled on 485 6/8/18 around 1pm. I got off the exit and saw the stuffy shop. Upon pulling in I asked if someone could possibly put air in my tire. The bay manager came out without hesitation and promptly began to put air in my tire. Unfortunately I ran over something and had a gaping hole in my tire. I advised him that I had a spare and asked if I could go on the side and change my tire. He gave me permission and also came over with a jack and a portable torque wrench.He helped me change my tire and it took about 1 hour out of his time. He didn’t have to do this and I truly appreciate it. I’ll add the fact that he was a white guy and I am black....never met but he held me down as if we went back like 4 flats on a lac.Thanks bro!

I took my car to Walmart to get an oil change and a battery replacement. After being told that my battery is located in the wheel well and they wouldnt be able to do it, it was suggested that I reach out to Tuffy. Not only were they able to get me in right away, they ended up not having the battery they quoted me in stock so they gave me the more expensive one for the same price. Scott was a great help who kept me informed and I was in and out within an hour.

This has to be one of the best auto shops around. As a newly single mother money is tight. Not only did, they honor the year warranty that they gave me for my battery and my alternator. Since I had used up my Towing my car insurance. The manager of the store drove to my Honda dealership. And delivered a battery that that I I could not get myself. He drove up to Concord. Now that is dedication to your customers.

I think this place is great! The new manager is personable and honest. She really tries to work with the customer. For example, my wifes car broke down unexpectedly and she fit her in on the same day and was able to repair it at a fair price.Thank you!

I went to this location for an oil change. When I went to another shop for an oil change, they said the oil filter was too tight and that I should go back to Tuffy. I called the store and spoke to someone who was very rude; he yelled at me and told me I would have to pay for another oil change. He blamed the other mechanic for not being strong enough or not eating breakfast that morning. Seriously, that is the excuse they gave me. I also noticed that all of the Black employees were no longer there when I went for that first, bad oil change. I told him to forget it. I went to the dealership. They confirmed that the oil filter was too tight and that I could have to pay extra to remove it if it broke off. They were able to remove it without it breaking. I wont go back to any Tuffy especially this one.

Great staff. I work in the office park nearby and its a no brainer. I drop my vehicle on my way in to work and they take me work and pick me up when the work is complete. Always fast, always done right the first time, and competitively priced.

Mike and his service crew guys are awesome! We first met Mike when he started working at the Tuffy in Indian Land, SC. (now that Mike is gone from there, I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy) After a lot of issues with Tuffy in Indian Land, I decided to drive an extra 20 minutes to Mikes location and it was the best decision! Mike and Roger treated my mom and I like we were human beings, and we felt 100% confident in what they were telling us was the truth! Mike has always helped us out and he even fixed the problems that Tuffy in Indian Land created for me, I honestly cant thank him enough!!

I have been coming to this part of S Tryon for many years for my auto services. Id have to say after all these years, Tuffy consistently gives me good, reasonably priced, quick services whether it be an oil change or a full on inspection. Their prices is among the cheapest I could find when comparing to the other service centers in the vicinity. I had to get an oils change today and while Tire Kingdom had a deal on an oil change for $20. They were fully booked. Comes Tuffy, same price, but with open slots that I could leave my car there 10 minutes after the phone call. And 40-50 mins later, full oil change with rotation. Richard, the person I spoke with was extremely chilled and polite (I said chilled because it takes skill to be nice and polite without sounding like a dictionary). Double plus, theres a Wild Wing Cafe right across the street, so Im hoping theyll take longer to finish my car so I could finish my beers.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR OR TRUCK HERE!!! If I could give NO stars I would. My truck has been pulling to the right an Im about to go on a long trip tomorrow so wanted a tire balance, rotate and alignment. Dropped it off yesterday. Picked up this morning an paid for it. Driving home an it still pulls to right! Take it back and they claim to test again an flipped front tires to fix problem. I drive off for 2nd time an now the truck is vibrating an shaking so bad I knew they didnt do something right. Took it to discount tire across the street an they say it had counter balances weights all over. They removed all the weights an did a good balance, now everything runs great. I went back to Tuffy to ask they what did they really do for the money I paid them. I told them I had to go pay someone else to get this right an if they wanted to do the right thing they could refund my money. I didnt get any money back an will not go back.

Bad mistake taking my car here, air was running warm, said they would look at it, about 30 mins later was told car was ready, turned air on, still was running warm said they added Freon, (did not).charges $150.... said my compressor needed extra parts, would cost $900 if I needed new compressor with labor and full kit.... I took the car to performance auto in Gaffney, they told me that it had NO Freon, and the switch was broke. total $200.... air is very cold now, why this co couldnt do that is beyond me...…...

Didnt charge me their diagnostic fee for what ended up being low transmission fluid. Im new to the area but have had positive experiences with other locations. Will be back!

The stud broke off my wheel while trying to get my lug nut off to change my tire. The service was quick and quality. They even drove me down the street, so I could run some errands while they worked on my car. As a busy mom that was extremely helpful.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I walked in to a sloppily dressed bald guy playing on his phone. After I initiated a hello he gives me an annoyed look as if Im bothering him. He was then very short, and seemed agitated as I gave him my information.Before I gave him my keys I asked him how long the wait would be and he told me an hour (there were no cars on the lifts) so I said okay and went across the street to the gym. After 2 hours and 45 minutes, I came back for my car and immediately noticed it was in the exact same parking spot that I left it...I walk in and the same guy is again playing on his phone and I had to initiate conversation. Come to find out he hadnt given my key to the garage and said hed go get them now. Needless to say I got my keys and left. Do not give these guys business!Im not a very picky person when it comes to customer service and I know people have bad days, but I should have known by the first interaction that I had with a Tuffeys employee that I wouldnt leave happy.

DO NOT GO THERE!!!My sister came to visit and there was a funny noise when she braked. She took her car there because it was close to my house and they told her she needed all new brakes and brake pads. Quoted hundreds of dollars. She knew this couldnt be true because she had a mechanic friend in her hometown and had just had them checked. When we said we were getting a second opinion they said theyd take a few hundred dollars off of the quoted price. Obvious red flags!! After refusing and taking it to another shop we found out the only issue was a tree branches lodged in one of the tire wells. They were totally going to rip us off!! This is illegal!!!

I was greeting as soon as I came in. Just needed a plug for one of my tires. I didn’t have an appointment and was in and out in about 40 mins. I wasn’t charged for the patch which surprised me because I feel like a lot of places take advantage of you when you’re a female. I was charged 25$ for a plug one time so that’s what I expected. 10/10 reccomend

I havent been here in awhile but something has happened. It was dirty and the staff has completely turned over. This staff is a rough bunch, all I saw. While I was waiting my turn at the counter this short guy in a doo rag kept looking at me like a pork chop. I didnt feel comfortable at all. Knowing my address was already in the system I just left because I didnt want them to know who I was and where I lived. Completely different atmosphere, very disappointing. I dont know how they do their hiring but they need to change it.
