Great shop to buy unique silver pieces sometimes not found in other shops. I was going weekly to up my oz count and collection for some time. They have a good selection of spot +$2 silver rounds and coins. I would not buy or sell graded ASE there as they are low on offering and high on price. I wouldnt buy eagles or maples there either as they are higher than a certain shop in Ballantyne. But!!! The reason for the 5 stars is that they have a great selection and will work with you if you are buying enough. This is a great place to stop in and do some buying on some unique pieces!!!

They made sure to be very thorough, and explain what they were looking for, what had value, and what was just face value. As a young numismatist, I found this place extremely helpful! They have stuff anywhere from fifty cents to five thousand dollars. The staff are very helpful, and will take you through everything you need to know about either your coins, or a coin you want to buy. I try to go there as often as I can to get some stuff to fill holes in my collection, and I feel that most of their stuff is excellently priced. They even have a half off bin! The proof sets are overpriced in my opinion so I would stay away from those, but other than that, you will have a great time there!

If you like coins and currency (money), then youll love Independence Coin. They have the best, largest and most affordable inventory and supplies of any coin shop that I know of in the area. As a coin dealer and collector, I go here first.

I like the ability to be able to trade some of my coins rather then sell them just for cash. It allows me to complete my collection easier and be able to trade quality coins that I have duplicate coins and trade them for coins that I can fill my holes. I traded once a key date and the one coin I traded was worth a lot but I was able to get several more coins to fill in my the holes in my collection. I think they are fair market dealers which I like and willing to take my coins to there shop.

I brought some old coins in that my mom had left me when she died. I was just curious to see if they had any great value. I didn’t get the name of the gentleman who helped me but he was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

I love coming here. Dale is very knowledgeable (if he doesnt know something hell look it up rather than guess), I never have to worry that the prices are unfair, they have a wonderful selection and its overall a very pleasant coin buying experience. High recommend.

The staff at Independence Coin are friendly and helpful. They have been in business for awhile, so they know about coins. They will make you a fair offer on your coins. They also have a nice selection of coins for sale. On Tuesdays, they have a stamp dealer come in from 12-1 pm.

I have been dealing with Jerry for 30 years plus. What a great guy. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, honest. He has a great wit and its fun to go visit. Buying and/or selling is easy and very fair. For the novice or the expert, this is the place in Charlotte to go.

Ahhhh, a coin shop to call home. I recently moved to Charlotte and was nervous about finding a shop to talk shop. This stellar shop is nestled in my new neighborhood. Staffed with genuinely nice people that are knowledgeable and insightful. You can find something for every level of coin enthusiasts. I hate to give up a secret spot, but I I have a feeling this gem of a find is respectably known.

What a cool place! My son and I went to take our stamps and learned a lot about coins etc. My son really enjoyed his experience. The staff were very kind helpful.

I love this store. The sales associate was very nice and helpfull. I also love their 50 cent coin machine, you give the guy 50 cents and he will randomly choose a small container of coins for you. I got a 1957 silver certificate out of there for 50 cent plus some proof nickels, uncirculated 1979 pennys,some silver dimes and quarters, and some mercury dimes out of that 50 cent machine. Overall the best coin shop Ive been to yet. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who is interested in buying or selling old coins, paper money, gold or silver.

Went here to see what the value of my coins were. They were not very helpful just wanted to hurry and get me out. Found out my coins were worth much more than they said. Never will go back or tell anyone to come here.

I have went to this coin store for 9 years! And The service is like no other coin store in the world! Great prices on coins,and there is a HUGE selection!!!

I walked in at 4:30 on a Saturday with $3500 in my pocket to spend on various Key Dates I need for my personal collection. Because I look young and like I may not be spending any money they were quick to say they were closing. If you dont want to stay open until 5pm, dont post your hours that say you will, and furthermore, dont be rude to customers because you are lazy. I drive a long way to visit your store only to be turned away, and you lost a customer for life that spends thousands per month.

This place is great for both new and experienced coin collectors! The staff know what they are doing and are very kind.
