My daughter and I were looking for sweaters now that the weather has turned cold. We like to shop at Uptown Cheapskate because we can find a variety of styles while standing in one isle. We walked away with 3 adorable sweaters!

They have a wide variety of top name brands discounted and in perfect condition. When I sell here, I always choose to have the money go towards store credit because every time I’m there I see something else I just “have to have!”

First time here, best thrift shop haul I’ve ever had in my 15 years of thrifting. Found dozens of cute items to try and came home with about 10 solid purchases; all designer labels, gently/never used, averaging $11 each.

I was looking online at a pair of jeans on Pacsun, when in only a couple days they told me they were sold out of my size before I had the chance to buy them. But, when I came to Uptown Cheapskate today, I actually found the exact same pair of jeans for like 75% cheaper than what was offered online. This store is amazing and I for sure recommend👍🏼

3 different workers asked me if i needed help or was finding everything okay. The clothes arent really my taste but the customer service is amazing

First time here a few months back and I found a handful of gems here. The key thing is patience! Found a pair of jeans, and a light jacket here. My sister found a cute top and hubby found a pair of jeans here as well. They do tend to be picky in the things they buy (I have sold some clothes here) and they only took a handful of the two bags I brought over. They are conveniently located in an accessible plaza right off of State St. They also have a rewards check in program with earning points every time you purchase something. Points equal to dollars off next visit. It can be a bit overwhelming coming here and going thru the racks for good finds - so if you come here, have the patience, time, and leave the littles at home! Unless you want to spend half the time running after them.

Eh, its okay. Dont go with any high expectations for buying or selling. We went to sell, and we noticed they set aside 10 or 11 shirts to buy from us. After a 45 minute wait (on a Tuesday morning) we were excited to maybe make 20 bucks or something. Nope, they ended up paying for only 1 shirt, since the others were more than two years old. We didnt notice that stipulation on their website anywhere, so we were pretty bummed. I mean, we went more to donate anyways since we were decluttering, so it was still fine, but it wasnt worth the time/effort. (They make you empty your clothes into bins unfolded and layered on each other). Next time we will just save time and go to DI. Overall though, if youre decluttering newer clothes, it might be worth it for you. Also, as a guy, I saw a decent amount of good looking shorts and so I might go back to check those out sometime.

This this cute little store has a good selection mainly womens and a few mens clothes that are new and used. Prices are good, the people are friendly. A few months back I found a very nice used leather waist length jacket. $17. We like this place and recommend it.

I always love going to Uptown Cheapskate, they’ve got high quality threads for low prices. Finding crisp, clean name-brand clothing is always a breeze. I do wish that they had bigger sizing for women, it’s always sad to hear about a family member or friend who can’t shop there because they don’t fit into the “right” size of clothing... Other than that, I love Uptown Cheapskate and would recommend them to anyone.

Pros:Fair prices, good selection/variety, clothes were not dated & all were in excellent shape, rewards club seems to make it fairly easy to earn rewards, friendly staff, great organization in the store, offers men & womens clothing.Cons:Staff was not 100% attentive; when I went to try some clothes on, no one was attending the dressing room/noticed that I had needed to try things on while I awkwardly looked around for help. A staff member also knocked on my dressing room door while I was changing, and, after I said I was in there, proceeded to unlock and open the door anyway (maybe I didnt speak loud enough?).It also took a bit for them to realize that I was ready to check out when I approached the counter. When I checked out, I let the cashier know that I wanted to use the offer I had earned by signing up for text messages & emails on the iPad up front, but after looking at the iPad, she didnt apply my $3 off to the order. I ended up catching the mistake before I left, and another staff member corrected the mistake for me.Conclusion:All things considered, I will definitely return to this place to shop for clothes in the future. I bought 3 dresses for about $30 (brands were Nordstrom, Banana Republic, & Cynthia Rowley). 2 of those 3 were marked down, and I know if I had bought them new, I would have paid over $100 for them.I liked how the store was organized, and I found many things that I wanted to try on quickly.The only drawback is that I have to be vocal about what I need, and I definitely will have to feel as if Im inconveniencing the staff to get what I need (they all were working very hard, to be fair). All in all, a fair price to pay for great clothing at excellent prices.

I LOVE thrift shopping and I fell in love with this store as soon as I walked inside! Everything is so organized and I appreciated how things were color coordinated and grouped according to what type of clothing they were (sweaters, jeans, t-shirts etc.) they have some fantastic prices (I would guess the average price is around 10 bucks) and some really stylish things :) I’ll be back soon!

The stores has a sign that requires everyone to wear a mask and I saw many people that didn’t wear them. The staff didn’t seem to care at all to enforce that policy for safety. Also I brought in clothes which I was told about 45-1hr wait which was fine til I ended up waiting 2 hours. They are very picky and pay less that platos.
