I have been bringing my Subaru with now 190k on it here for over 3 years now and wouldnt go anywhere else! From Tom the Mgr to Curtis an amazing technician and person to Jim, you cannot find this care anywhere else. They are honest and professional. Curtis has been taking care of my car for over 3 yrs and I am so grateful to him.

Curtis was great and the service was even better. I was in the middle of cross country road trip with my family and the ac went out. Curtis was the only one that could could get me in and gave me a reasonable time. 3 other shops kind of shrugged me off. I was able to get back in the road and not have my kids roasting in the back.

Very rude and poor customer service!Took my van for the D flashing on the dash board, I’m not sure if they didn’t read it or maybe the “D on dashboard blinking” note I wrote wasn’t very clear, instead he checked the TPMS(which I know it means Tire Pressure Monitoring System) and told me I would need to replace all the censors and would cost me $500.When I made it clear that that was not why I brought my car(after he charged me $55), he got an attitude.He called me an hour later saying: “you need a new transmission and that would cost you more than what your car is worth!”.Took it to another mechanic, turns out I just needed a transmission flush

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Easy car to work on. I had previously changed all brake components and needed a bleed and an inspection. I was overcharged for the wiper blades that were installed without my consultation. Also, upon paying my bill I was informed that the brake light that I had told them about was still on. I did have an issue that did need addressing however I was quoted over 900 on a part I quickly found online for 35. I understand there is labor involved but...Overall. Do not go here. Dont even buy gas from here

Nice air conditioned waiting room with water and a TV. Loved receiving and using an oil change coupon I received in the mail. It appears that they also rent trucks as well as work on cars. It seemed like this was prioritized before my oil change, which I didn’t love. BUT to be fair, an accurate wait time was quoted.

Man! Got my lift kit installed and they did an awesome job. You could tell how proud they were of their work cause they all met me outside and we all looked at it together. Without even asking, they told me to come back in a week to make some adjustments after it settles. I knew this had to be done but it speaks volumes that they initiated it. Will definitely be my go to for everything in the future.

It’s very unfortunate for me to have to write this about a repair shop however I am forced to have to share my experiences in hopes others are not taken advantage of like I have been. I have had my work vans serviced here several times and each time there has been an issue with integrity and honesty. This most recent service included a general tune up on a mini van where they put the wrong oil in the van (very elementary) and did not check or top of the fluids as the paperwork said and as I requested. I have had to double check air pressure every time I get my vehicles back and the owner when made aware of these complaints gives you the “take it or leave it attitude”. It is very clear by Tims refusal to accept responsibility or address clients concerns that this shop is a rip and run shop. If you want to get ripped off then this is the place to go. DOUBLE CHECK THEIR MECHANICS!!! Me double checking my vehicles has kept me safe on the road and the reason Tim does not want me as a customer is that I’m smart enough to double check them. But it isn’t about being smart as most customers have to just have blind faith- it’s about being safe on the road. This shop should be looked at very closely!

Good people here, always trust worthy and do not BS. Prices are fair and not over priced.

They were SO QUICK to get me in: My flat tire was fixed and oil changed within an hour and a half of me even calling to ask if they could help! So thankful for their fast service, especially since this came up just days before a long road trip.Timely, Professional and Friendly, Great Value - I recommend and plan to go back for any of my own future car needs.

I bought a used 2010 van in June. Id taken it to two different mechanics at the time, who gave me a list of work it needed to have done, and was being talked into a $4K bill elsewhere when someone in line overhearing us slipped me Sunshines card at Charlottesville Tire & Auto, recommending I get a second opinion, and Im SO GLAD I did! Sunshine was extremely honest, present, and looked the car over thoroughly. I ended up saving thousands of dollars, and have driven it thousands of miles since then across and around the US, so I needed to make sure it was good to go. It has been perfect on the road and I have Sunshine to thank for feeling safe and sound. Highly recommend this place!

I have finally found a garage I can trust. Recently I came hear because of a tire problem. They got the tire, put it on and I was out on the road. Today I came in to get door handle fixed and asked they check muffler noise. They found a certain length of pipe needed to be replaced. It sounds great and runs great. They could have made it more expensive but put customer service first. Price was very reasonable.

When the dealership wanted to charge me almost $400 for the test to figure out what was wrong with my car, and then charge me for the repair as well, I decided to bring my car to Charlottesville Tire & Auto instead. They got the whole job done for less that half of what the dealership wanted to charge me just to figure out what was wrong. Highly recommend this mechanic if you have car problems in Charlottesville.

Stopped in today on my way home from work hoping to get a quick oil change. Service was prompt, courteous and best of all quick. Prices were more than fair, and best of all they didn’t try to up sell me on things that I wasn’t there for. I will definitely be back. Great to have a quality auto repair shop in a convenient location!

I arrived thinking I had to get a new tire. They checked out the situation on the spot, realized that it was just a faulty valve, fixed it at no charge and I was on my way. These are good guys and I will be coming back.
