The Employees at this location are just the dearest. Professional, knowledgeable but mostly just super friendly. I may not know all their names, but I know how they make me feel, just makes my day!

My sandwich was made exactly how I asked for it and was ready when I arrived at the time suggested. The woman making my sandwich was very nice. friendly, as was the cashier. I suggest visiting this location for friendly service!

Freda, Angie and Jackie were really great this morning! I ordered 15 breakfast sandwiches and about a dozen breakfast tacos at 6:45AM and they were ready for me when I arrive a little after 7:00 AM. The visual environment is uplifting and vibrant - atypical of gas stations - and the music choice was modern. The overall vibe was comforting, especially noticing the friendly and noticeably close relationships the employees had with their customers. Freda, Angie and Jackie were greeting each of them warmly, happily, and most importantly, genuinely. Lastly, I grew up in Upstate New York and Stewarts Shops is a store that many of us love because of the consistency, and because of the local feel of the store. The Market at Preston captured that feeling for me this morning - a nostalgia worthy of momentary savoring.

Upon entry of the store I feel a sense of warm loving caring employees, especially from Willie Mae. She demonstrates a very good work ethic and is so helpful with directing me and my family throughout the store when we have a difficult time finding something. I come here almost daily. Its right down the street, and easy to enter and exit, even when Bodos has them around the block. Its a fun people-watching site, as it seems like the Market at Preston is a kind of cross-section of Charlottesville in staff, customers, and passers-by. They have delicious food and great coffee, good prices on beer, tasty breakfast sandwiches at a discount after 11, chili on tap, and great people behind the register and hot bar. They know me there, and I know them. The Market at Preston is a community. The bathrooms are clean, the selection is wide, and the price is right, especially when you present your Tiger card. If you have choices for convenience shopping, come here.

The food here is pretty amazing. I love going here when I get the chance. And the workers are so friendly. I love talking with them. Especially one named Willie Mae. She definitely knows how to be a great employee and make you wanna have a great day. Id definitely recommend this store to anyone.

I visit the Market at Preston routinely and I consistently encounter old school friendly service. The store is always clean, well-stocked and the food available at the deli is outstanding. The chicken is outstanding and the wide selection of made fresh sandwiches are crazy good. They have an excellent selection of local craft beers and wines. I highly recommend this market to everyone whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or for just picking up all you need for a Sunday picnic.

My favorite Market brand gas station when you walk into the store it smells like just walking into your grandmas kitchen on Sunday dinner! Inside and outside is immaculate, always perfect and clean. Almost never will you find a piece of trash, or step in gum outside by the pumps.Some of the best, most friendly wait staff. Well maintained, they have everything you ever can think of stocked, my only request would be to carry the brand Fiji water more often.Otherwise LOVE this brand and location!

I go in there almost every day the staff are friendly and very courteous the only problem I would like to see done is enforce the mask mandate until it’s lifted other than that this is a great place to get good food and other quick things.

Chicken is wonderful freshly cooked it’s not dry or old can’t wait to stop by again to get some for dinner. Reason for my 1star is bad customer service from Emma if I’m not mistaking with the name. Hopefully we don’t run into each other again when I stop by other then that I enjoyed my food.

I ordered online and requested no tomato. Got back to work. Opened the sandwich wrapper. Tomato all over it! Two slices even! Thought I forgot to check it off but nope its on the receipt.

I love this story. Since the pandemic and I began to work from home, it has become my go-to place to go for morning coffee, snacks, and basic supplies. Customer service is excellent, and keeps me coming back. The rewards program has paid for many a coffee, and the wraps are a good easy lunch.

Stopped in while passing through the area. Very clean & inviting. Great service. Willie Mae is the BEST! She was extremely nice & helpful, with a wonderful personality. Looking forward to passing back through & stopping in again.

Walked in today after I saw all this good reviews and honestly I think it’s fraud! Chubby girl “Emma” was very rude she is definitely not a team player. I wanted to speak to manger and she said she was one and I was appall on how did that happened she didn’t care to ask what I needed help with or anything, so I just left and called the store and she answered the phone very rudely and hang up on me. Other then that chicken was great and front customers service was also good and friendly.

Always clean, stocked and you couldnt ask for a more friendly smiling staff. Even when it costs a little more for gas I go here, cause the staff is always so kind and makes me feel like they appreciate my business.

This is my favorite Market in town. Before I moved across town this was my go-to spot for a sandwich. My personal favorite is the Farmington, which I’ve been enjoying for years now. The crew at Market on Preston is always super friendly. I’ve enjoyed seeing familiar faces around the shop for about a year now and they are always consistently helpful and in good spirits. Didn’t think I could have so much love for a gas station!

Amazing. Simply amazing. Never knew this place existed. Just stopped in for a sandwich & a drink on my way to visit family. Amazing selections. Turkey & Swiss is now one of my favorites along with a Cherry Coke. Also had the pleasure of Meeting a nice lady, Willie Mae, I believe was her name, cant quite remember (getting old) lol. Very friendly and chipper and a grin to brighten any day. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

The crew at this store is so friendly and the sandwiches are out of this world! I highly recommend the Smokin on pumpernickel . They also have non-ethanol fuel for my small engines and the best damn car wash in town. It is a soft touch so it actually gets bugs and bird poo of your rig!

Management is terrible, stopped by today to get chicken on my lunch break line was crazy so I decided to grab a sandwich instead line was long also with one person at each station no manager on site to speak to or help out. Chicken is also terrible at night. If you want a quick grab to eat might as well go to McDonald’s or Wendy’s at least they have manger on site to speak to and help out with the rush.

This Market is located conveniently near downtown right where you need it to be. The customer service at Preston is top notch. I enjoy stopping by before the gym for a quick pick me up and to see a smiling face. Make sure you try their fried chicken and Jackie’s Chicen Pot Pie.

Market Place on Preston is a very convenient place to stop and to make it better the place is really clean, great deli food and the best part is the awesome employees. Im talking well stocked shelves, everything in its place and the customer service was SUPERB. My family and I get sandwiches here almost every time we go hiking on the trails outside of town. When I first learned that they were opening a location on Preston, I was so excited to know I would no longer have to drive all the way to the Ivy location to get a Belmont sandwich. Also, the fried chicken is the best in the neighborhood.

I would like to say since COVID 19 with people losing jobs not having work the market has been great this time of year with different ideas and lower gas give always I want to say thank you and for anyone that hasn’t signed up for there rewards program I encourage you to do so the rewards are amazing.

Was just in town for a few days for training. Came to get some hot food for dinner 2 days got the cville fried chicken sandwich and the other time got fried chicken. Food was on point. Also service was very wonderful and friendly. Staff was very friendly especially cashier Amaiyah. Definitely recommend stopping here if in town.

Store is always clean and has super friendly staff!! Their parking lot is also set up nicely so you can get in and out without feeling like you’re trying to win a game of Tetris like some of the other stores in town!

The best market I have been to! Not only do they have the fye sandwiches, but they have fried chicken, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, etc. Full walk-in beer fridge. Best market.

I’m in the Preston market 2-to-3 mornings a week and I find it remarkable the same staff is there prior to the 5 years I’ve been going. Frida and Angie make my mornings behind the registers (although Angie does a little of everything and you can find her everywhere). Food and coffee are fresh. I have to rate 3 stars, though, because the last month or so, the store is having problems with its cream and sugar supply. Staff does what they can putting them out in cups and bottles, but it appears they are not getting the stuff for the machines. With a good competitor moving into town, it seems the local company to who I want to remain loyal, especially w/ these hard-working employees, to at least maintain its game at the coffee counter.Although the competitor makes great hogeys, the hot food behind the counter at Preston is superior across the board. And the Market app is also more user-friendly than the competitor app.So let’s fix the coffee supply issue, and get this thing better than 3 stars I gotta do right now!
