A truly valuable experience! I just completed my Instrument rating through Horizon’s part 141 program and I’m very glad I did. They have a very thorough program that pretty much guarantees success. The instructors and staff put in the time and effort into their students which is something that I think sets them apart from other 141 programs. The Cessna 172’s are equipped with a G1000 avionics suite which give an added brevity and advancement that not all flight schools have. My instructor was P. BC and he went above and beyond from start to finish for me. We spent a lot of time together over the past couple months and you can truly see his dedication to learning and his students. I will continue to pursue my ratings with Horizon and 100% recommend others to-do the same!

I just completed my Instrument Rating at Horizon through Part 141. All of the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The planes are well kept and well maintained. They are also almost identically equipped, which makes it very easy to use any of them for training and not have to think too hard about it. BC was my instructor and he really did a great job. He went out of his way to make sure that I had the knowledge that I needed to pass my checkride and also finish my rating on time. 10/10, no complaints!

Incredible flight school, great place to learn! All the instructors and staff are professional and enjoyable to work with. I never had an issue with scheduling or finding an instructor in my 2 years of flying here. Shout out to BC, who helped me achieve my commercial cert!

I really enjoyed my training here. I just completed my private pilot with part 141. I had BC for most of my training and he helped me a lot. Don’t think I would have completed it without his help. I enjoyed flying here and with the new planes and great people it’s a great place to fly.

I did my instrument rating here part 141. The CFIs are very knowledgeable, I did my training with P. BC. He went out of his way to help me get completed on time. The front desk staff is very helpful and welcoming. The airplanes are updated and new all with G1000 suite, which makes them worth the premium.

Horizon has got me my Instrument, and Commercial. They will have you very well prepared for the check ride because they send a lot of people for check rides and have the experience. Special thanks to Instructor BC on my Commercial and coming through with a last minute endorsement needed.

Landed with a flat tire late on a Sunday and the Horizon line guy teamed with an Epix mechanic to get us off the taxiway and onto the ramp. Horizon then had us on our way before noon the following day! Great staff! Great airport teamwork! Youve got love small community airports!

The airplanes are well maintained and the instructors are very helpful. I recently passed my PPL Checkride and coudnt have done it without the staff and my instructors there. I think they prepare you as best as possible for the checkride and Im proof!

Ive flown a few times here and I must say that compared to other flight centers in the area, the best instructors are here. Zach was highly knowledgeable and the best instructor Ive ever worked with. With my other flight center, there wasnt much consistency with CFIs and I had a different instructor every flight. Horizon has a much more structured curriculum for effective learning and the G1000 is amazing compared to analog. I will certainly be coming back here for my ratings. See you soon, Horizon!

Im currently getting my MEI add-on through Horizon with my VA benefits. A lot of VA student pilots it seems like. The staff is very courteous and professional. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and easy to relate to. I recommend this place to my military friend who are looking to earn or add certificates using their VA benefits.

Horizon has been maintaining our aircraft for close to ten years and they have always treated us well. They have done significant repairs and modifications with a high degree of workmanship. When actual labor hours exceeded the estimate on two major jobs they split the difference and charged less than the actual time worked. Excellent, friendly people to work with who do their best to make aircraft ownership affordable.

I flew at HFC a couple times in July. Trey did my checkout flight in 272SB. He was very professional and made the process as easy as possible. The facilities are very nice for a small GA airport, the fleet seems to be well maintained, and scheduling the aircraft was simple. I took 272SB down to First Flight to go checkout the museum and monument. Ill definitely be back if Im ever back in Virginia Beach!

Not much for hospitality. I don’t think think the lady enjoyed her job at Horizon Flight center. Nice airport but not friendly.
