We have had them for about 7 years. Never had problems with them except when they came out to change the batteries they didn’t come with enough so had to take off to reschedule for them to come back out. When I called to reschedule the guy on the phone was not professional and was rude. Other then those two incidents they have been a good company.
Clyde is the best Field Service Technician on the planet! He went above and beyond to make sure our home was safe and sound, even coming by late on a Friday evening to make sure our needs were met. We are incredibly grateful for his hard work and commitment to getting the job done. Thank you!

Technician telephoned prior to visit and when completed with the upgrade install, took the time to walk me through all of the improvements. A friend recommended me this company. I gave them business. I was sitting next to him while he was talking to the manager to resolve some billing issues and the lady on the other side don’t care . She was horrible. I will wait for year and cancel all my store service from this company for sure.

I dont leave negative reviews. I know how damaging a bad review can be.I am small business owner and before the pandemic, I had two thriving businesses. In May I had to close one of them. Vector Security doesnt care about their costumers. Only about taking their money. I am paying for a security system that I am no longer using because I lost my business due to the pandemic. Their response....Sorry, Too bad! AND it only took a MONTH for them to tell me that. NO ONE responses to their voicemails or emails when there is a problem. To make us continually pay for a system that is not being used and, under these circumstances, is just poor business ethics. The customer service is horrible and there is no communication between the person scheduling appointments and the tech. The other system I am paying for doesnt work... I have had 4 techs come out and mess with it and the battery still dies every day even though its plugged in. A tech was scheduled to come and replace the faulty panel however he was not informed that he was. I explained my frustrations to Matt and he listened. He was able to make some calls and came back to replace the faulty panel that has giving me trouble for the last year. To be clear my frustration is not with the customer service of the techs. Matt was more helpful today than anyone that I have spoken to at Vector. My issue is it took a year to fix it the problem and I’m still paying for system can’t even use or even have!Find a local company that wants your business and who cares about your business.
I couldn’t have asked for better service! After numerous attempts to get this system Mr Poole came as scheduled and installed my system in no time. He was quick and more than that efficient. After installation he sat down and went step by step in how to operate this new system. His patience is awesome as I am not high tech at all! Hats off to Mr Poole!!!

Sales man Glenn West over in the Newport News area. Most unprofessional sales man I have ever met. I chose not to go with this company due to having a home security system already in-place. He stocked outside of our home and after I informed him over the phone that I wasn’t going with his system, he called me “stupid” and sped off down the road. If this represents the company I would highly suggest looking elsewhere.

Anytime we need support with equipment Vector responses timely. Scheduling to have a Technician come out is also timely. Weve had Matt for the past 2 services. Matt is friendly and knowledgeable and works at a good pace. Weve had Vector for at least 13 years and have never once considered switching providers. Our sales associate is also helpful, personable and knowledgeable. Overall very satisfied with Vector Services.
Both Techs Rigel, Sean Miller were extremely patient, helpful and willing to help us get our commercial security system up an running.
Vector installed a door lock last week. Which has had mechanical errors since then. This morning it left me locked out of my house (no one engaged the lock) with my small children for nearly 20 mins. After calling vector they said they could get someone out on Thursday. In the meantime there solution is don’t use the lock. Which means in the event of a fire one of our two exits is unusable. They also recommended that I do not lock the lock for two days. Leaving my home and family vulnerable to break ins. Just remember vector priorities family safety (not). This would be our tenth year with vector and we will definitely be looking for other options.
Bill Beery from Vector trespassed on my home in Norfolk on October 20th to cram Vector Security advertisements through my door. There are no trespassing and no soliciting signs posted. But like a textbook Narcissist he felt those rules dont apply to him. And worse yet, instead of the mailbox like any sane salesman he wanted to force his papers through the front door itself.I wouldnt trust my security to a Narcissist. Will you?

We had a technician come out to our church this morning to address 3 issues weve been having. I SO appreciate that our Saturday appointment was moved to today so I didnt have to ask a staff or volunteer to be here when the building was closed. Sean went down our list of concerns and took care of each issue and clearly explained what hed done and what to do in the future if not resolved. This was one of our best experiences with Vector since we began using your company. We felt heard, understood and valued.

I never write negative reviews, but hiring this company for my security needs was a huge mistake on my part. When the salesman came to my house over 2 years ago I shouldve known something was wrong right away. He showed up late and could not even manage to get his computer to work. Resulting in him having to write up my contract by hand on a form he was clearly unfamiliar with. I was told that day that after 2 years of service, I would have the option to cancel of my contract with no fee whatsoever, and that if I had an issue to ask for him.Now that it has been over 2 years, I contacted Vectors local office and attempted to cancel my contract (for a list of reasons I wont go into here). However, I am being told that the salesmen was incorrect with the information given to me, and in fact signed me up for their standard 3 year contract (which will renew without notice, by the way.. so beware of that). Leaving me to pay for another 10 months of a service I do not use or trust. Please, learn from my mistake and invest your money elsewhere. Great companies would do anything for their customers.

I have had many company installers in my home throughout the years but never someone that took the time that Rigel Niemi-Rischitelli did when he upgraded my security system. Rigel took the time to trouble shoot the connection to my WiFi system and work through and determine what was causing the issue. He walked my wife and I through downloading the app and explained every part and made recommendations about the settings which we appreciated. He was personable, friendly with a great sense of humor. Rigel is the type of person Vector Security is lucky to have representing the company. I have no second thoughts about giving him 5 stars.

I am a former ADT customer and I was so impressed with my meeting with the Vector Sales Rep, Stacy Stewart, that I convinced my husband to switch over to Vector. He was so knowledgeable and personable, it really was a breath of fresh air to have such outstanding customer service. He made sure we got a plan that met our budget, made sure our new equipment was even better than the previous company and went as far as to deliver our house numbers when our installer just happen to be out. He followed up as well. So far so good with Vector, no problems, and I have already recommended Stacy and the company to others.

Stay away from this company and their fat worthless boss that cant even motivate himself to get out of his chair!

I have been with Vector Security for the past 17 years. They are always very polite and have good customer service. Whenever my alarm has been triggered, they are responsive each time. I renewed with Doug today. He accommodated my schedule to meet with me in the evening. Doug was very positive, did not pressure me, and gave me a package to meet my needs. I also spoke with Gerard who was also very positive and willing to work with me to get me what I needed. He gave me an awesome deal! I feel confident that I made right choice in choosing to stay with Vector. :)

I switched Vector when ADT tried to charge me 3000 dollars for an installation. Insane!!!! Vector charged a fraction of the price and has been consistently giving good service. It took two or three times to get it installed correctly but I am a patient person and they were polite. Two of my windows still arent detected on the system at all which is why I bump it to four stars. I had told them and texted them the information about the pieces on the windows they still never worked.
I really love the service I receive through Vector Security from the sales person Doug Lamont and the team that comes out to help keep my system up and running. Being a customer for sixteen years is a plus for me to be secure by Vector Security. Thanks to you all for you hard work and continue support in keeping us safe.

They were understanding to my situation and were able to install same week I requested service. I have not had any issues with billing or system malfunctions. The system works as advertised. I am currently moving and will need to transfer services. I will update my post after to update everyone on the experience in transferring my service from one location to another.

Really frustrating trying to get through the beuracracy and handed off from person to person a Vector. Id love to add more features and components to my existing system, but I keep getting no response, the web request form to schedule an appointment doesnt work, I call and cant reach anyone that can help. Do you hear me, Vector??? Im trying to give you money! How much more difficult can you make this? Guess existing customers arent important compared to new sales.

Absolutely disappointed from the get go! First, I accidentally set off the alarm days after it was installed, I accidentally tripped it for less than a second and I waited for the call from dispatch and received nothing. I go outside in my garage to unpack more stuff since moving in, next thing I know I have cops flying up to my house giving me task directions demanding I ID myself and they followed me asking me to keep my hands where they can be seen when I went to get my wallet and show my IDs. The police informed me they were dispatched by Vector Security after I never answered their calls. After the police left I checked my cell and house phones and.....nothing! Vector never called and so I got a warning and a fine for false alarm. Also, I repeatedly received past due notices and would call in and give my credit card number and would be told, thank you, your acct is updated. -Apparently not, I would get another past due notice.-Where is a little thing called quality assurance and customer service these days? Oh also, I never got a sign in my yard after being told twice after calling twice Id have one tomorrow and not to mention telling all the salesman who have since visited my house who said they would get me one, too. -Guess what, going on three years since moving in and no sign! I do not recommend Vector and will never use Vector again and to anyone considering them, dont just take my word for it, read all the other countless reviews of unsatisfied customers. Spend a few extra bucks and get ADT, or anyone else for that matter just not Vector.
