Ive bought candy here since I was a child. They do an amazing job making the candy. If they are about to pour candy on the table, theyll always ask if you want to watch. Its a fascinating process. You can also tell that everyone who works there is always happy to talk and explain what they are doing.

Super cool behind-the-scenes action watching a huge batch of peach buds be made right in our own Small Town neighborhood Factory, if you have never visited Williams Candy Company, you are missing out on a real treat!

Had no idea what to expect. The candy company is tucked into a neighborhood. Theres a small display of candies (like a card table small) and you can watch the employees making the candy. Bought 3 bags (super cheap!) and the candy is delicious.

Celebrating 100 years in business! This is a mom & pop operation that produces really good old fashioned hard candy. It looks like nothing has changed since I was a kid and my mom would get candy for us here. Congratulations to Williams on their 100 years in business, and thank you for the great candy and memories

This family owned factory and candy store is an American treasure. If you visit on a day they are making the candy they will be happy to talk to you and tell you about their story. Theyve been around since 1919 and their methods havent changed much. I highly recommend it.

Came for the candy, stayed for the wonderful demonstration on how to make candy the old fashioned way. You can tell that family who operates Williams Candy Company truly loves what they do. Would highly recommend anyone interested in visiting to check it out.For those interested in going, I hadnt seen this posted but during warmer weather they only make candy on Mondays and Tuesdays. When its super warm outside, they only make candy on those days in the morning because otherwise it starts to stick. And make sure you bring cash or checkbook or you wont be getting any candy.

I have been enjoying their various candies for 65 years, but even after traveling the world via the USAF, I always NEVER forget my time enjoying the candies!! Even after living in the Bay Area of California for 36 years, I always stopped by for candy purchases once home in Norfolk, Virginia!! While visiting my family in Chesapeake for tis weekend, June 22-24, 2018, I find myself taking 6 boxes of candy home with me to South Carolina!! Ive always enjoyed talking with the people there and the candy making process as well!! They ALWAYS wish me safe travels home that is greatly appreciated.

I used to live in this neighborhood as a kid in 99 and I almost thought I had just dreamed of this candy store. It was a rather hard time for my family back then, and coming here to watch the process and sample the candy during Christmastime was really uplifting and special. Glad that this place is still around (almost 100 years old? wow) and still making great candy.

Since almost the turn of the century this candy factory has been making evetything the old fashioned way. Bags of candy are only 70 cents. Tradition and family is what makes this place a wonderful business. Stop by to take a tour of how candy was and still is made with love.

You can go in and watch them make the candy then purchase it for hardly anything. But bring cash because they do not accept credit not debit cards. Decent amount of candy for your money.

My husband had been given some of Williams candy so we made a point of visiting their location where in Virginia Beach. We watched peach buds being made from pouring the sugar/corn syrup on the water cooled table, mixing the color and flavor, twisting one section of the candy to get the air bubbles out, combining the 3 sections together and adding coconut in the center and putting the 120 lb roll through the machine to cut the finished into pieces.This is a family owned business, everyone is so warm and friendly, that began in 1919 and will be celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. We had some samples and they were all delicious. FYI..they accept cash only. Which is fine when you know ahead. You dont want to miss out on purchasing some candy. They make candy Monday and Tuesday right now and September to December they make it every day.
