My first experience at Beach eye care was a good one so I switched to this location closer to my house. It was a mistake. I had an 8:20 Appt and didn’t leave until 11am. Unfortunately this is not a one time issue my daughter had a 8:20 and still hasn’t seen a doctor and it’s now 9:30Update: If I could give zero stars I would. These people want me to spend $1,000 per person on contacts which doesn’t make my eyes feel any better cheap ones I use to wear. But you want to switch brands oh that’s another appointment. Yeah another 2-3 hours while you try to upsell me again. No thanks! Back to searching for a competent eye doctor. Won’t be back.

Sophie was OUTSTANDING. She was very kind and supportive. My teen had trouble getting her contacts out and Sophie never rushed her or made her feel that her time was wasted. She was smiling and helpful the entire, almost two hours, appointment!

When I tell you that the Staff at the Cedar Rd Chesapeake office is impeccable!!! The professionalism, friendly, couteous attitude that Cutler,Chelsea,Adrian,Erika,Dawn and Dr Ritenour displayed was worth the cost!!! Id recomend them to Jesus if he needed glasses!!!

Amber at Cedar Road is a true pro at what she does. Withthe need for specialty lenses and an unusual set of conditions, she has really helped me navigate the last few years of my eye health.Deanna M. Ritenour, O.D. took the time to listen to me share all of the failed attempts at getting answers to the questions I had about my eyes, and then she designed a course of treatment and solutions that were successful. Grateful to this team!

Took 2 hours just to get into the back to see the contact lens department. Finally got into the doctor. Had to make a second appointment to get my eyes dilated. Came back for the second appointment and told the contact lens person I didn’t like the daily wears and she told me that was her recommendation and was not willing to change anything!!! Like she is the one in my eyes. Don’t waste your money here. Go see someone who actually believes that you know how your eyes feel and that your time is important too!!

Optometrist was extremely kind and professional, however the other staff in the back of the office was not. The contacts tech was extremely cocky and when I told her what I liked before she told me she wouldn’t put them on a cat, then proceeded to fit me in contacts that will cost me 3x what my old contacts cost me in the past, and I did not have insurance then! Regretting my decision to get vision insurance leave the small practice I was seeing before

Love Beach Eye Care. Everyone is extremely nice and spend plenty of time explaining each process and the results. Dr. Levine was extremely informative and explained the results of what he was looking for. He also explained a lot about LASIK without me feeling pressured into getting the procedure done. Heather was so helpful in helping me find glasses. She pumped up my self esteem with each pair I found and was really cognizant of my budget. So glad my mother recommended this place.

I went and spoke with Heather at the Cedar Road location about fixing my frames. Unfortunately they couldn’t be fixed at their location and I was desperate. Heather found a pair of frames that my lens fit and I was able to walk out with them. Took all of 20 minutes!! She saved me!!! Thank you so much !!!

They said they only do premium contact fitting, not a regular contact fitting which was a $40 co-pay with my insurance. The premium fitting was $185 after what my insurance paid. Ive had contacts for almost 20 years and never heard of premium fitting. I asked every staff member about it, after my appointment, my wife spoke with our insurance and I went back inside and asked skme more and they still said we do premium contact fittings only. My insurance company said that wasnt right and offered to help me make a formal complaint to the board of whatever. I might but for sure I tell everyone with glasses I know not to go to Beach eyeware. They are crooked. Its incredible how greedy and crooked they are.

Such a wonderful, cared for experience. Heather helped me find the perfect frames. She made a lot of effort to help me find exactly what I needed and was so kind. Sarah at the front desk and the whole doctors staff are just wonderful. Amazing location! Beautiful doctors office and boutique shopping area out front.

Love this place! Had to switch due to insurance and I was a little nervous with it being a bigger company from switching from a 2 doctor practice. My husband and kids go here so I thought I would try this place.Dr. Ritenour and her team are amazing! She talked to my kids on their level and walked my oldest through her first pair of glasses and even ‘entertained‘ my youngest with an eye exam like her older sister. Best experience ever!

Had a referral from my primary care provider to Beach Eye Care on Cedar Ave Chesapeake. The staff was great and friendly. The waiting room was beautiful and comfortable. The doctor was prompt and professional. Asked questions and actively listened to my answers etc. Would highly recommend.

If you are looking for a great eye doctor this is the place to go! Dr Levine was great, he was able to help me and answer any questions I had. Also made everything easy and understandable. Communication is always a big thing for me. The staff is supper nice too!

Dr. Wilkins is amazing! He really cares to explain EVERYTHING and truly listens to any concern. Once you come here, you wont go anywhere else!

This was the worst place Ive ever gone to for glasses. Think twice before you go there because you can get glasses for half the price elsewhere with better customer service

Very Friendly staff and doctors ... My children enjoyed their visit and the staff was extremely helpful. Doctors talked over everything thoroughly and asked if I had any concerns. Everyone was so pleasant and wonderful.

This office is as beautiful as it is efficient. The Front Desk staff is friendly and well trained. The equipment is top notch. I worked specifically with the optician, Heather, who is the nicest, most caring person you could meet. She listens well to your needs and interests, but gives her practiced opinion regarding eyewear.

If you make an appointment, staff is great.If you walk in for a service (ex: frame adjustment), you will have a hard time finding someone who talks to you.

For the last three years I have had excellent experiences with Beach Eye Care. Everyone I have encountered in the business is incredibly friendly and helpful. From my LASIK surgery to my annual checkups, I highly recommend Beach Eye Care!

Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. Wait time is incredibly long. I dealt with them several times and each time was worse. Sent an email to them sharing my awful experience and never even got a response.

Worst customer service ever!!! Waited 10 minutes before and no one even asked us if they could help us!! So I had to ask the lady sittine behind the desk ignoring us if someone could help us...she replies with...are you here to get glasses? Uhhh yup.....then she says well I will be with you at my convienece! Even my 6 year old says....that was rude!!!

Never had a problem with been going sents I was a kid

We have been getting our glasses and eye exams at the Holland Rd location nearly exclusively for the past 7 years. The few times that we went somewhere else to save money we were ultimately disappointed.

Great service polite, kind. Settled my issue within minutes!

My first visit wasnt the best, but to the credit of Beach Eye Care, they contacted me, apologized, and made things right. My second appointment was excellent!
