First time coming here and I really enjoyed it. Atmosphere was nice, food was fresh and service was pretty great too. I had the city scrambler with bacon and turkey links as my 2 meats. Would have been even better if they had queso to put in it! It also came with 2 decent size pancakes! Looking forward to coming back.

I was visiting this area and went to this place a few times. It is a popular place, but I found the service to be great. The food was excellent, really tasty. I had the Reuben sandwich the first time I went there, and I cant remember a time when I had such a good Reuben. I had the City Scramble the second time I went there, and it lived up to its billing as a signature meal. There was a nice family friendly atmosphere, and the price was really good for the quality of the food. I would love to go back there again.

Don’t sleep on City Deli! This is a quaint, welcoming, family owned restaurant. We had the pleasure of meeting Mike, who runs the front and owns the restaurant with his wife, Krista, who runs the kitchen. They have daily specials, one of which was the broccoli cheddar quiche served with one side. My boyfriend had the City Scramble, a best seller, and did not disappoint. 11/10 rating-go support them TODAY!

My husband told me about a new local eatery he had gone to for lunch. So we ventured there this morning to try out breakfast. The atmosphere is great. Very local diner setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. I got grits & eggs, and it was still hot when it arrived (very unusual for this particular breakfast). My husband ordered the steak sandwich which he said was good. We will definitely be going back!!

Hot Pastrami Sandwich was really good much smaller than what I expected but good. The toasted rye and hot mustard brought it all together. Sandwich and fries came up to $11 after taxes which not bad because it’s Boars Head meats and especially when I bought a pulled high sandwich from another place a few weeks ago for $22 and it was a disappointment. Fries were undercook wouldn’t get them again. But I would revisit

My breakfast was awesome especially the hot cinnamon apples. My husbands eggs were not cooked medium... Whites were kinda runny, hence the 4 stars. But other than that it was great. We will be back! Nice having a local place close by!

Very good breakfast. We got there at 9 am and were able to get seated right away. Prices were very affordable for the quality of food and the staff was always there for a refill for coffee or water.

I have had both lunch and breakfast here with my small family. The staff are awesome and the food for both breakfast and lunch great. The place has a good atmosphere, and has a nice family run vibe.

Yummy!! Decided to play GOOGLE Lottery today and picked this place. What a nice surprise. Will definitely return for another delicious meal. I came for breakfast and had the City Deli Scrambler. Excellent I must say and the coffee ☕ decent as well.. Little mom & pops restaurant so happy to patronize. The staff was very friendly, professional and awesome. I ordered a greek salad and was told they were out of feta cheese so they gave me other options which I passed on. They salad was full of green healthy romaine but that was about it. There were 4 black olives and 4 tomatoes and barely any dressing. I asked the waitress to please modify and add more. She came back and the management told her everything is weighed and she would have to charge me for more toppings. I passed...really? I should have sent it back! The waitress was great and she tried but I feel me the management customer service was very poor.

Just yesterday I tried City Deli for the first time and they are now my favorite! 100% impressed all the way around; quick, friendly service, the order was done to perfection, the establishment clean and open and the pricing is very reasonable. Definitely not what they used to be. So disappointed. Ordered take out and my sandwitch had barely any meat or sauce or coleslaw. For $10 for a sandwitch & a ramekin size side of potato salad i was highly disappointed. The potato salad used to be so good, what i got today was completely flavorless

We stopped into the City Deli today and I was a little disappointed in the Lunch. I paid 11.25 for a Wrap with more Lettuce than Chicken, it was nearly impossible to get a Tea Refill, the Waitress only came by one time. I dont plan on going back, Overpriced and under Served.

First time ordering from City Deli, a friend and I ordered take out. My friends sandwich was not prepared according to her requests, it missing cheese and she requested no lettuce. Also, I was very disappointed in the size of the side of potato salad and it was somewhat bland. My sandwich (Great Bridge Lift) was good but probably would have been better if I had ordered it as a hot sandwich. Before writing off City Deli, I would definitely give them a second chance.

When I took my family here on Saturday i got a dish that smelt like wet dog do recommend getting a to go box.

My go to place for a nice BLT, and some fresh cookies.

Friendly staff and comfortable dining area. Lunch sandwiches tasted good, but seemed a little pricey for the portion size. Doubtful that Ill return. Jasons Deli seems like a better value.

Even though closed for sit down customers and with limited business hours, these people make great sandwiches to go and they do it fast. Cant recommend enough. I am ready to check them out for breakfast as well, the menu looks promising. I almost hate to post this because all of you, my dear readers, will clog up this place scheming for a nice fresh pastrami or a five star chicken salad or a premium Reuben but I must praise a good business when I see one. Five stars all day long.

Nice little deli, Ive had both the Reuben and cuban sandwhich and they were both very good. The bag of chips you get with them is a small snack size, but thats ok. Decently priced and nice staff. Ill be returning in the future.

Good food, good service. Friendly staff.Two suggestions:Toast could be toasted longer. Most times its still very soft like bread.Pancakes are delicious, though extremely large. Perhaps a thinner, smaller size or silver dollar pancakes.

My mother and I used to get breakfast and lunch here all the time when we were living in Chesapeake. I have very fond memories of quality time with my family in a friendly neighborhood environment over good old fashioned hot meals. Shepards pie was one of my favorites. If i ever come back to visit i will be making a stop in here for sure!

My husband and I had been looking for a good breakfast spot when we came across City Deli. I remembered coming here with my mom for lunch when I would go to work with her as a kid. We decided to go and ended up getting all breakfast food. It hit the spot and became our breakfast spot. The eggs were cooked to perfection, bacon crispy, and pancakes left me wanting more. It is not a huge restaurant, but perfect for a quick filling meal. The decor has been updated with a warm feel.

Ordered the special salad at $10.75. Not worth that price. Iceberg lettuce, bacon bits (not real bacon) 3 precooked shrimp, one sliced egg, a few chopped veggies. It was okay, but not a $10.75 value. Staff was friendly and courteous, dining area and restrooms very clean. Perhaps other menu items are a better value.

Unlikely Breakfast Burrito spot.....2 eggs, cheese, sausage, and potatoes wrapped in a grilled tortilla 😁Full breakfast ready to go....if you want. But stay and grab a cup of coffee. Dont sit to close to their cake stand. The cakes are so big they have their own gravitational pull....had to sit 20 ft away😂. Looked amazing though

Food always good. The one waitress I have had before has been great. The dark haired lady. Very friendly, very attentive. Excellent service.The other waitress is absolutely awful. Was there yesterday. I waited no longer than usual. That “other” waitress took my order. She brought my breakfast rather quickly. And that was the last I saw her. It was like she was avoiding my table. And I had showered so I know I was not smelling bad.And I did notice her returning to other tables. They looked to be her friends and chatting for extended periods of time. So maybe my problem was that I was not on her friends list.I had to stop the friendly dark haired lady for a coffee refill and then to get a box for my leftovers.The City Deli is a good place so I will definitely be going back. But I will be certain to request for the good waitress from here on out.

Burrito Perdido is easily the best burrito place in the 757. Im from San Diego California and Ive been searching for an authentic California burrito and this was honestly just as good as home. Ive been to plenty of taco places here and have left very disappointed as living 10 mins away from Mexico allowed me to have endless quality Mexican food.

Although its located a long a busy street full of breweries and restaurants, its not all that visible. We just kind of stumbled upon it and we are glad that we did. The Decour is one of a kind, all kinds of maps globes and other geographic type memorabilia around .

Food is good, service was great (super friendly staff), but the food is very over priced. A small chicken salad sandwich on bread from a regular grocery store with a bag of store bought chips for $8 is to much. Recommend making the sandwich larger or adding a better side (like homemade chips).

We ordered sandwiches today. I asked to make sure the pickles were with the order. I received no pickle and the other sandwich came with chopped up pickles?????? It states on the menu that pickles come with the sandwiches. Your prices have gone up dramatically in the last 12 months. It always makes me think that the owner is always trying to cut corners...We have been eating there as long as you have opened but, we are saying Good Bye to City Deli!!!! Your prices do not match your place. It is not that great inside.. Its just a simple deli..

This was my first time at City Deli but it will not be my last! My wife and I stopped for breakfast, the omlet was light and fluffy like an omlet should be. My wife ordered sausage with her eggs and she found out they use Boars Head products, wonderful.Great little place that seats about 75 or 80 people, staff are very friendly, the coffee was great! Well be back.
