How may stars do I rate this store today? Never before would it be below 5, however, today its 1. We have been customers of this store for years - since it opened and have always found it friendly and efficient. Today was a whole different story. It took me over 30 minutes to have 3 boxes serviced. The girl who helped me was new and was really struggling. One of the other employees should have stood by her to help her through this transition as she learns the process. My main concern for writing today is that every customer that comes in this stores is told to put their unused box in the Harris Teeter trash can. The trash can was overflowing with no space for actual trash. Why is The UPS Store not recycling boxes that people bring in? Until people learn the new Amazon return policies of bringing in returns without packaging, UPS needs to take up the responsibility to recycle these boxes. After all, UPS is in the box business. Why should Harris Teeter pay their employees to empty the trash can that the UPS Store is filling up? Years ago, UPS welcomed any peanut packing etc, to recycle and now the boxes are put in a trash can that is not even sufficient to carry the load of what they are telling their customers to put in it. I left today very confused and disgruntled.

Incompetent business printing. As an engineering design firm I tried giving them business since they are close and my professional printing service is so far away. What a mistake. Every print job I have sent them has been a disaster. I have already disappointed two clients with deadlines because when I have picked up my prints they have been screwed up. Moreover, two times Ive waited in their store for 20 to 30minutes to correct the problem, making me late to a client meeting in both instances. Despite waiting they never could figure out what they were doing and I left without my paid for prints. These guys can print letter size and thats it. Do not send them anything serious. They are poorly trained and do not care. In one instance I went in to pick up and was told they were not ready, that I had only sent in the request an hour ago. What? The store was empty when I walked in with two people working. If they cared about business accounts they would try harder to please. They do not. Oh, and I paid for all the foul ups, including a set of drawings they could not fix. Not so much as a hint of crediting me. Just deer in the headlights. Not ready for serious business support. Too bad, if they had their act together I could have sent them a ton of 11x17 prints, but their incompetence is making my business look bad. I cant afford that.

I wanted to print a single page document. They wanted me to log in to my personal email on a computer that everyone uses, but could not 100% guarantee that it was safe. So, I said no. Could I email the doc to them and have them print it? No, because thats not safe for them. Megan said I could go online and use the online print order service. I created an account, set up my project and couldnt figure out how to upload the doc. I asked for help and was told that I couldnt do it from my phone, I would have to do it from a desktop. REALLY? I just wasted time standing there trying to use the services that she recommended and she knew I wouldnt be able to use my phone. Unbelievable.

Worst UPS (s/b DOWNS) store ever visited. Line out the door at 2PM on a Wed. Not enough staff, or perhaps competent staff, to handle the work. No one seemed to have anything other than packages to ship - most, like me, with prepaid shipping labels. Guess the bottom of the minimum wage/working (sic) class has to work somewhere.Reply to the owner:Perhaps if there were visible signage in the window, or elsewhere, indicating drop-off service, it might relieve the frustration of waiting. However, based upon my observations of the facility at the time, I don’t believe your assurance of scanning and delivery guarantee w/o receiving a receipt. There’s that competency thing again. Don’t want to drop off an important package into the abyss of a worm hole. Definitely avoid this location.

First time visiting this location and the lady wanted to charge me $2 to tape my box. I have never been charged at other UPS locations. Definitely not returning here especially since I told her that I had never been to this location before. Idk I understand the procedure but I also would have liked to have been taken better care of.

This store misplaced two different shipments and I am surprised by their fees. I had a package delivered here as a UPS Access Point. I received an email that said it was ready for pickup, went to the store, and they said it wasnt delivered and told me to contact UPS. I filed a claim, and this store contacted me a couple days later saying they had misplaced but subsequently located the package. I received a notification today for a different package I had shipped to the store as a UPS Access Point. I called to make sure it was ready, and they could not find it. I told the person I spoke to that the email had a proof of delivery with a persons name (happened to be the person I was speaking to). The person said the store would call me back after speaking to the manager. They found my package and called, so I went to the store. The worker showed me a hand-written note that said, $7.50 and told me this was the fee to ship something to them as a UPS Access Point. I was not charged this fee when I previously used this method, nor was I apprised of this fee before selecting this shipping method. The person then told me if UPS had attempted to deliver to my house and delivery failed, the package could be directed to them as a UPS Access Point for free. Two mishandled packages and one surprise fee later, I do not plan to return to this store.

Id be a bit leary of dropping off prepaid online shipments to this location...they accepted a package on October 28th and as of November 16 I have absolutely no idea where this package is.Because it was done online through an online account they take no liability....I went to UPS district office on AirRail Ave and they told me to go back to this ups store ...runaround...Still have no idea...I would not recommend this location as the handling of packages seems to be lax..

$1.50 PER PAGE to fax claims paperwork BACK to UPS for a package they destroyed. uPS emailed me claims paperwork then refused to take it back anyway other than USPS mail or Fax. I came to the UPS store and they charged me $1.50 PER PAGE. I will NEVER UPS for anything in the future. Its been 2x months and Im no closer to resolving my claim than I was in February. Worse than USPS by a long shot

I needed to send a package back to Amazon. I was given the option to have the package picked up at my home. However, I decided to take it in because I genuinely try to support locally owned businesses. We used to have a wonderful UPS store near Kroger on Mt. Pleasant. The owner, Jim, told me he gets a small commission when I brought in packages for Amazon. So that’s what I’ve done for years.I honestly thought UPS needed to see the contents so I didn’t tape the box shut. The worker said it would cost for them to tape my box closed. I was shocked and disappointed by the whole situation. It is my last time using this UPS store. Yes, I will always tape my own box in the future.

Sadly I have to change my prior review of 5 stars for this location- I left it at two because I am still hopefully they will review their new process and go back to their old ways. I had moved a little further away and was continuing to come here because of the prior good service. I have noticed in looking at the reviews over the past two months that many people have observed the same thing I have which is the customer service has decreased dramatically and the lines have increased. I dont mind waiting, but what I experienced today was very disheartening and left me feeling like I was not even treated as a human. The store had a policy change on UPS packages (this must have changed within the last week as they took my packages last week) and instead of informing me in a polite or reasonable manner after I had waited for about 20 minutes they were extremely rude and offered little more than a shrug. I thought surely the manager who had treated me so well in the prior months would be able to assist once she was made aware of the issue and she did nothing more than shrug as well and say they had a policy change before moving on to the next person. I will not be coming back here if I can help it and am very sad at the change in this store. I hope they can figure out whatever issue is going on, because they used to be so good it is a shame.

Normally happy with the customer service of this UPS. Not this time. I hand delivered my Christmas cards in store to an actual person. Multiple people say they didn’t get them or got the empty envelopes all taped up and ripped with a stamp saying sorry we lost your card, USPS? Why would it even say USPS if I went through UPS. This makes no since. I go out of my way to send all my packages through UPS because I’ve had so many instances of USPS stealing from me. Now I’ll have to find somewhere else because apparently UPS is no better. Very disappointed.

I paid $4.56 to print TWO pieces of paper from a portable flashdrive. Wow! That is just ridiculous! The library near my home was closed for the Easter weekend and I wanted to accomplish two tasks in one: print copies and mail a package. I expected to pay fifty cents or so for the copies, but nope. Did the clerk warn me that I would have to pay $3.50 to insert my flashdrive and print the two pages at the computer station? No! She did not. Sure, there is a sign on the wall that she could have brought to my attention, but she didnt do that. She could have, but didnt. So, that leads me to think that this business trains its employees to make as much money off each customer as they can by being sneaky. This was my third visit. It is also my final visit. You could have had many more, but you blew it. You ripped me off. And when I pointed it out to your worker, she just shrugged her shoulders. I paid the $4.56 and walked out (and still thanked the worker for her help, because I am polite). You will never see me again. Oh, I also didnt mail my package at your store. You quoted me just over $12 for this, even though I asked you for the cheapest delivery possible. I went to the USPS on Monday, and they charged me $2.50. Yep, your price was FIVE times higher than the USPS. What is up with that? I hope that others read my post and choose wisely. Dont expect to see me again!

This UPS location is not customer friendly or wallet friendly. One might think that all UPS stores are about the same. Well, apparently they are not. This one is not customer oriented at all, they also are lacking proper packing materials (no air pillows for example). The costs for their international and domestic shipping services are outrageous!!! $800 for a package when USPS shipment of the same package costs just $70. And the manager of this store does not accept any complaints about poor customer service, she thinks too high of her store! God forbid to point out their mistakes! I have lost many e-bay buyers because of the unusually high shipping costs at this store comparing to other UPS stores around the country.Save your day and dont go here!!!

My dive equipment was supposed to be delivered Wednesday. I didn’t know a signature was required. We work. After 2nd attempt, I wrote to take the package to the distribution center. I drove 45 min to go pick it up, it’s not there. The driver decided to take it to the ups store. I called to make sure it was there, and they attempted to charge me $7 to pick it up. After 2 hours on the phone with customer service and the local dispatch, the solution is that I will drive 45 min to pick up the package tomorrow. The other offer was that it could be delivered sometime tomorrow, no estimate of when, and if I am not home, they are sending it back to the shipper. All I wanted was for them to waive the $7 that was being charged because of their error. Instead I get yelled at by Vincent in “customer service” and no acceptable resolution. Also....apparently UPS does not have a customer service supervisor, so I had to put my experience out here to get it resolved. I hope you guys didn’t steal my dive equipment.

The worst. Needed one color copy on glossy paper from a pdf I brought in on a USB key. They charged me $3.50 for five minutes of computer time. So one print cost $4.35. Of course, the worst part of all was that it took them almost 30 minutes to figure out how to make the print. They couldnt adjust the printer settings on the computer. They couldnt adjust the settings on the printer. Then they disappeared in the back for another five minutes before they would ring me up. There was only one other customer in the store, and it took four of them to print a label for her package. By the end of the ordeal, I felt like they should be paying me for my time. Lesson learned. Never again. The Chesapeake store on Battlefield Boulevard will be my go-to place in the future. In fairness, I should say the print was fine. So if you dont care about your time or your money, you can get a copy made here.
