It was last minute but my husband called ahead to see if we could get the tire on our truck patched. Good news we get an appointment. Vince and his co-workers followed all the CDC rules still giving each customer, great customer service in a timely manner.

Vince worked on my car an explained everything about what was going on. He was polite and genuinely kind. It was refreshing to have such kind people working on my vehicle.

Weve done business with several garages in the area this is by far the best. Everybody was very helpful and we felt they went above and beyond when replacing the clutch and other components in my wifes car. We plan to use them again and would highly recommend you do as well.

I had my car inspected by this place and thought it went okay . Little did I know I went to get a oil change and my latch was broken on the hood. So when I brought it to their attention they said they wouldnt have done something like that but then told me it would be very easy for it to happen. Noted Im a gay man who never opens the hood of my car and they were the last place to do so. They didnt offer to fix a problem that they created. I do not recommend this place to anyone especially if you are apart of the LGBTQ community.

Honestly, other shops should strive to be this business. Worth every penny for the outstanding customer service + explanations of every little detail. Hassle-free and efficient to the point. Come here if youre done with pain in the rear-end services you get everywhere else.

Had our Jeep towed to Patton’s - didn’t know them, never heard of them but they were fast, explained the problems and made the repairs two days earlier than anticipated. Good customer service, fair pricing - highly recommend.

Had A/C problems and they got it fix before the heat started for the summer. They also followed up to make sure it kept working. It is so nice to have a trustworthy place to take your car for anything.

Pattons is the only place I would take my car. I used to take it to the dealership years ago but Pattons solved issues much better than the dealership could. Theyve always been great, and incredibly detailed. Vince and Jeff are always excellent at explaining the options and details of what repairs are needed. The give you the options and you decide. Their suggestions, take them! They are definitely the most knowledgeable mechanics I have ever encountered.

Ive been going to Pattons for years now. I originally went to them for their superb reviews on Google, but Ive stayed because theyre honest, they do good work, and they know whats best for the health of your car. One time I had to have all of my brakes and rotors replaced. When a few months later my rotors had warped again, they were still under warranty, and Pattons Auto replaced the rotors for free--they didnt even charge for labor. Even though I live in Richmond, I always take my car to Pattons--theyre that good!

I have taken my 2011 F250 diesel truck to Patton’s twice and both times I received exceptional service. They called frequently while diagnosing problems and provided updated and accurate quotes for parts and labor. Both times the final bill was less than the quoted amount. Timely and quality work and I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Great customer service

Went there for a price for wheel alignment was quoted 99.00. Not sure if this is too high or not. The thing that ticked me off was the handicap space was blocked by a very large truck with no plate or placard displayed.

I cant in to get a plug in my tire and they were very professional and quick!

I was a customer of the garage for about 2 years for both of my vehicles. Average rating prior to the experience below.One of my vehicles required moderate repairs for which I was quoted a price and time frame by the shop. After three days, I called and was told that the price would be double what I was quoted and would be ready the following day. For another four days, I played the game with them where I would call and they would tell me one more day. They (in my opinion very unprofessionally) blamed it all on a mix up with a supplier but with after a 1 day repair had stretched into 1 week, my patience was thin and I had hoped for a little better service.Finally, once I got the car home, I discovered it smelled like gasoline had been spilled and continued to do so for three weeks. When I called to get an explanation, I was actually told that I cant expect it to be done right every time, mistakes happen.Unfortunately, when I am paying for a service I do hold that entity responsible to deliver a quality product. Apparently, this place does not share the same philosophy.Consequently, 1 year later the part has failed and now I am forced to pay another hefty repair bill. The only positive in this is that this will be my last experience with this shop.

My family has been customers of Pattons Auto and Tire since they opened and we have always been pleased with their service. We trust their repairs and maintenance of our vehicles and have never had any problems with their work.

I took my car to Patton’s Auto and Tire to get it fix. However, the mechanic suggested a diagnosis before he could proceed working on it. I agreed to pay the diagnostic fee and plus to fix it, and that cost me over $600.The next day, my car still have the same problem. I brought it back to the Patton’s Auto because the problem is not fixed. But in order for the mechanic to fix the car he want to perform another diagnosis which he did in the previous day. Therefore, I have to pay another diagnostic fee, but why I have another fee and just paid it. The dialogue was continued until I actually decided to take my car to a different shop after having paid over $600.00. I wished have known this before, I would not this kind of mistake.Unfortunately, when I pay that kind of money, I expect a good service. Moreover, I expect to have my car to fixed as well .I do not consider this is good customer service, changing the customer twice for the same problem, I did not agree with that. However, the service I have received for paying over $600. does not deserve a five start.

I had originally left them a better rating. I have been using them for 6 years. I moved to new kent county last year in 2020. I always liked them so much that I wanted to continue giving them my business. That wasnt till today when I had an appointment that I set earlier in the week and I dropped my car off at 8:30 a.m. I called to check around 1 oclock 130 and they still had not worked on my car for a simple state inspection oil change and tire rotation. I hate to say it but I guess its gone to their heads how much business they have and I will never support them again. They also told my dad last year that he had a bad battery. Well, not true because hes still running on the same one. Vance or Vince tried to convince me that having a plugged tire is safe on my steer as well. IT IS NOT!

This business is run by GOOD OLD BOYS. So if you do not want to be treated by the GOOD OLD BOYS dont show up to this business. A friend of mine took his car to Patton’s Auto and Tire to have it fix, he received very poor customer service and wrote a review based on the service he received. Jeff, from Patton’s Auto called my friend with a threat and was just like this take the review down or I will call your manager and have you fire. My friend did not took the review down and Jeff got him fired.So do not make the same mistake my friend did.

I own a custom car which can be quite a challenge for any mechanic shop to diagnose and fix sometimes. Recently I had issue with my front wheel. I had to have it towed this shop. I had a very bad experience with the tow truck guy which also lead me to loose my wheel lock key. Jeff quoted me a price what it costs to take all 20 locks. Initially we had huge communication gap of trying to understand each others stand point on repairs. Even through that he was a gentleman and we finally came to an agreement. Jeff said I can have it fixed by tomorrow but if you really need it I can have it fixed by 5:30 today. I went to go pick up the car and to my surprise he went out of his way and found a universal lock and saved me $150 in labor costs. What impresses me the most is not what he says he CAN fix but when he is HONEST enough to say what he CANT instead of fabricating repairs and taking your money like some other shops will do. Pattons auto is ALL THAT and bag of lug nuts!

Do not go for state inspections.I failed for (foggy headlamps) ...=/ Went to another shop and passed, and double checked just to make sure it was not just me- stopped by a 3rd shop and asked and both said my lights where fine, and they probably just wanted me to buy the 120.00 headlamp restor- (which I did not)I would have liked to be able to go up the street for work for my car but I dont think I can trust them.The front office clerk was very polite and friendly.

I cannot say enough about the great work by the professionals at Pattons Auto Center in Chester. I entrust Jeff Patton and his crew to work on the cars in my family because I know the work will be done right the first time at a fair price. He fixes what needs to be fixed and never overcharges for work that doesnt need to be done. The peace of mind they offer is priceless.

Living in Richmond for 19 years we have had 5 different vehicles. We prefer to stay with the same mechanic, so for several years we supported a company where one of the mechanics working there, we knew, so we went there to be blessing to him and his family, due to his wife becoming very ill, he began working less and less, our final frustrations came from a general repair being quoted one price, and then pages later we had multiple parts, additional charges and you get the picture. We then tried a local mechanic, based on a neighbors suggestion. For a while, all seemed fine, then we were being contacted by them with suggestions for coming in for random checks, the bill was always $500.00-$700.00. Taking a new route to work we began to pass by Pattons, we first stopped in for tires, then inspections, then general repairs. Ultimately, we are now customers FOR LIFE. They are honest, dependable, trustworthy and whenever I leave from having a service completed at Pattons, I feel I have the safest car on the road. Our daughter is looking to purchase a used car, it will go to Pattons first for a once over, with their ethics and standards I know I can trust their expertise and recommendations. Great place with quality service at an affordable rate

My car needed a new crank position sensor. I went to Patton’s Auto and Tire on Chester Rd. and the transaction was very pleasant. When I got home and installed the CPS my XJ started but everything was out of sync. Engine was getting gas flooded, lot of black smoke coming from the exhaust, backfiring, etc. My XJ need a tune-up so I decided to buy new spark-plugs, spark wires, ignition coil, distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator.After installing everything my car started but with the same symptoms. A friend of mine told that he has a spare CPS, an original one. I installed it and all the symptoms were eliminated, car running better than ever. All this was 2 weeks after installing Patton’s Auto and Tire sensor. I went back to Patton’s Auto and Tire with the faulty sensor and they started with, We don’t refund electronic components... Wait! This purchase was one month ago... Absolutely no money back. I asked, Even the ones that are faulty? They replied, We don’t have a way to test them, but we can exchange the part with a new one.And I asked, What if that part is not really faulty but is not working under the specs of my car? All the sensors will fail. I have to remind you that your system says that this sensor is compatible with my car but it is really not. It is sending a bad/weak signal. But if you want put your best mechanic to test all the sensors on my car, if one of the sensors works I will go happy to home. If none works, I want my money back... They shrugged their shoulders and said no refund. I just went back to home. They took my money and I have to fix my car by myself. It is not my fault that Patton’s Auto and Tire sells out of specs/faulty items. After that I will plan to not get back there ever.
