This is our 3rd boat purchase and Wye River exceeded our expectations. They were pleasant, efficient, and great about communicating throughout the entire process of buying our used Sea Hunt. Each person from sales, to service, through our sea trial, to questions after the sale, each person we encountered was great. They stand behind their products and I would definitely recommend them.

Purchased our first boat in a long time at Wye River Marine. The process was smooth, with no high pressure sales tactics or up-selling. At the sea test I noticed a small cosmetic blemish on the cowl of the motor. At delivery it was gone. On the day we planned to take delivery it was cold and blowing on the bay, so Jack arranged to drop the boat in at a ramp that was much closer and upriver to our dock. Would have froze otherwise! First class communication and service all the way.

My wife and I just purchased a 2021 SH 265 Ultra. Looked at many boats and we realized that by far Sea Hunt is by far the best boat in its class. Wye River Marine made the decision that much easier. We had a great experience purchasing a pre-owned boat recently from Wye River Marine. The staff was knowledgeable and very courteous. Our sales rep, Jack, was professional and thorough with the inspection and condition of our vessel. The sea trial went great with the technician Obie, and we reviewed all the electronics and operating issues. The Finance Manager, Evelyn, was competent and our financing and settlement was processed promptly and efficiently. A great friendly staff that offer “good business” and friendly service. We will patronize them for future purchases and boat/engine services as well.

If customer service is this bad before a sale I would hate to find out how bad it is after a sale...I spoke with the GM (AJ) on 1/16 (Thursday) regarding a leftover trailer they had on the lot selling for cost. I asked if I could come Saturday and put it on a credit card and he said no cash or check only. I said alright I will come down with cash on Saturday then and he said just do us a favor and call tomorrow and let us know to get it ready for you. I thought that was weird but said will do! I call on Friday (1/17) and ask them to get it ready for me and they said sorry we are selling it to a guy tomorrow and I said yup that’s me and they said someone else. I asked to speak with AJ again he was like well I wasn’t sure you were going to buy it. I said I told you we would be up there Saturday with cash and you said great call us tomorrow so we can get it ready. His response was it was a misunderstanding. I asked AJ to price me out a new trailer and he did and I asked if it was in stock and he said yes. Then I asked him if he could come down a little on the price of the new trailer sitting on his lot due to him double selling the first trailer. I told him I understand you can’t come down as much as the first one because it was at cost but could you do something to make this right? His response was “that would be too much of a hassle for us and it wouldn’t make sense for us as a company to discount a trailer just to turn around and have to order a new one.”. I understand there isn’t much margin in trailer sales but they messed up and had an easy remedy to fix the situation and refused to provide any customer service.

We recently visited this dealer to buy a boat. The boat had a defect that needed to be fixed, which they did. We were verbally told that the defect would be fixed in the future if it came back, but when we asked for written confirmation, we were later told they would only decide in the future if they would fix it. Based on this change in position, we decided that it was not in our best interest to buy that boat from this dealer. They were never rude, but from the begining we felt that they were not really interested in selling us a boat. Boats and facilities are nice.

I recently sold a boat to Wye River. I was given a reasonable price and told to bring the boat in for inspection. I dropped the boat off and returned in an hour. When I returned I assumed this would be where the haggling would began but to my surprise I was told the boat passed the inspection and they had a check ready. I was out in about 5 minutes. The staff was knowledgable, professional and friendly. I highly recommend buying or selling a boat from Wye River. First class!

I just sold a boat to Wye River Marine today and had a great experience with the process. Rob sent Jeff & Shannon to Richmond, Virginia to inspect and pick up the boat. They were very professional and represented Wye River very well.The price offered was what I wanted as a fair value for a great boat. I bought a Grady White last month and very pleased with the process. I have a also purchased two trailers from them and had a small issue with the new trailer and they showed up in no time and serviced/fixed the issue with no questions asked. They also helped me sell my other boat and when I gave the Ok to sell it they had an offer the next day. I think this is the type of company you buy a boat from and ever need anything they would be there for you.
