C & J Auto, (specifically Wade who was my mechanic), made a great impression. What a relief to find a mechanic who knows what he is doing, takes pride in his work, and has integrity. I took my Subaru to three other places for a leak underneath the glove compartment. No one wanted to do it. Two of the auto shops said I should have the issue fixed with the dealership, which would have charged close to a thousand. Wade, at C & J Auto did it for a fraction of the cost. He also did an alignment and put on four new tires. Such a smooth, quiet ride! I will be a regular customer going forward. :)

This was my first time visiting the shop and I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Wade patiently answered my questions and I felt like my car was in good hands. I would return to C&J to get my car fixed, but hopefully not any time soon!

I was new to the area and I did my research to find a long term good auto shop that I would go to. I must say that I feel lucky to have come across C & J Auto & Truck service center. I brought both of my vehicles to them, one with a laundry list of problems and I asked for a full diagnostic of the entire vehicle. I received the list, it was as long as expected, and I can honestly say by the way my car feels now, these gentlemen worked on it to perfection. Over the course of that week, they remained in communication via phone and I never had to guess on what they were doing. The customer service was exceptional, and so was the improvements that were made on my vehicle... I will be returning to this shop, for a very long time!

I read a lot of reviews before coming here. And i must say from my experience those reviews were not what i expected (OVER RATED). When i brought my car it took them forever to get to it. I would say about four days or so. I had to constantly keep calling to see if they had started on it. They barely return your calls at all. When they did get to it and were finished i wasnt very impressed with the work didnt notice any major difference in performance. My bill was almost eight hundred dollars thats excluding the parts i had brought all of my own parts. Didnt even get a receipt. I dont recommend this place at all. Too expensive and not very responsive. I wont be coming back. The owner said he would contact me about doing my power steering pump havent heard anything as of yet. Even if he did contract me i wouldnt get anything else done.

Yet again another polite, professional and punctual appointment at C&J Auto. I was easily able to book my appointment over the phone and was scheduled next day even during this busy season. The building was very clean and everyone was taking extra precautions for the covid pandemic. I was checked in for my appointment promptly and felt informed and in great hands throughout the entire process. Again I cannot recommend C&J Auto in Chester as the most professional, polite, and individualized mom and pop service center that makes you feel more than confident in their services, I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area!

I needed my catalytic converter changed on my 2009 Nissan Altima and I provided my own part...they had no problem changing it even though they were super busy with cars they made it happen. I will definitely be using this shop from now on👍🏼

C&J Auto in Chester is now THE shop for all my mechanical needs. I needed major brake work done, being short 2 mechanics they still got it done the same day. I recommend trying them out for your next auto repair. Call and schedule an appointment.

Im a mechanic and this shop did a great job on my truck which I absolutely did not want to do on my day off! Very friendly staff and keep you informed throughout the repair! Reliable service great rates and knowledgeable mechanics Huge plus for me. Nothing easy on a 5.4 triton but they handled it!👍

Beware when you take your car in for State inspection. Theyll reject it for items not covered under state inspection requirements. When you let them know this they tell you to call the state police . Ive been going here for a few years and the service has always been so so but now Im done with them.

I just moved to the area and was in search of a reliable, honest, and fair-priced repair shop. I called C&J about a brake issue and they were able to get me in first thing the following day. The staff was friendly, provided me with a ride home, and communicated throughout the process. The text updates with photos and technician notes were nice as I am a very visual person like to actually see the issues. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely (although hopefully I wont need to anytime soon) be back in the future.

Ive been going to this mechanic shop for the past couple of years. They seem honest to me and theyve resolved several issues with my car.

My husband has gone to this auto shop for the longest time. Theyve always been pretty friendly and honest. Ive never gotten anything more than an inspection at this location though as my husband does most of the actual mechanical work. I did get an alignment at there other location and I wasnt overtly thrilled with them, but its been a few years since going there. The only pull back in their parking. Its tiny and usually a hot mess. I know they are doing what they can with the property, but its pretty awful when they have a lot of cars out there. The inside is a little run down too, but like most shops, I dont have high expectations. But, like I said, theyre pretty friendly and, since I had made an appointment, I was out of there pretty fast.

Quick service. I was able to complete my appointment in an expedited manner considering I added an oil change upon arriving.👍

My wife and I have great trust in C.Js! And thats tough to find in a auto shop especially since you think youre always getting ripped off. Theyre hands down the best auto shop Ive ever took my car too.

I called in for coolant leak and it turned out my radiator was cracked. Although it cost more than expected, the fact that they were able to get me in at short notice and was able to replace my radiator with a new one was good enough for me. I plan on taking another vehicle in for service next!

Walked in for a state inspection on a Saturday expecting to be turned around like most of the other service stations do, but they took care of the inspection. Great service and good prices and its a local establishment. Will be back for additional services.

Took my car in for an inspection. I asked how much material was left on my brake pads. The guy said that the technician would have made a note if they were worn, however, my tires (which are much more accessible and noticeable) were almost (and I really do mean almost) at the minimum tread depth (theyll be legally bald and unsafe in about 30-60 days) and they didnt make a note or say anything to me about them so I highly doubt his claim about the brake pads.

These people are so friendly, honest and fast and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them.

I brought my BMW in to be looked at after some system errors, although the dealer will have to repair I loved that they were very honest and didnt charge me for the diagnostic. I will bring in my other car soon.

I always use C&J, didnt like waiting most recently while tech was on a call did not acknowledge my standing their. High staff turnover.

They provided me with a state inspection by appointment on a Saturday and were stellar in their performance.The building is a bit dated but if you can get past vanity and appreciate the talented and hardworking mechanics in back along with the exceptionally professional and personable front desk staff, they will get you taken care of and back on the road in about 20 minutes, barring any safety concerns your vehicle may have. They did not perform any other work on my car at this time but suggested I get a tune up based upon the mileage, which was sound advice. I have a strong feeling I will be consulting them in the future for any work I may need.

The nicest people ever! I needed to get my car inspected at 3:50 pm on a Friday....they didnt turn me away!!! I was not told that I couldnt get an inspection like at Elders Garage, unless I arrive at 8am to get a number.

My bumper fell down after a snow storm. These gentlemen fixed my bumper on the spot and were nothing less than kind and sweet. I would recommend them to everyone! I like these guys. Went in with AC problems and they gave me more information than any of the other places I went, including the Ford dealership. Since my air is still blowing very cold (C & J told me the freon might leak out in a week, a month, 6 months but the dye would let them know where the leak was and just bring it back) I have to wonder if the last places I went ever put the proper amount of freon in. They did the same things the other mechanics said they would do, but these guys actually did it!

Knowledgeable and friendly service.I needed an inspection an was referred to C & J Auto & Truck Service Center. Was nervous because I didnt know them and had no time to check them out. All I can say is that I am completely satisfied and believe I have found the service center for the life of my car and my future vehicles.

A few weeks ago, I dropped my car off to get an inspection and a couple of tires put on. Put my keys in the drop box (simultaneously wrestling with my 2 Great Danes) and walked home.Unfortunately, the keys got stuck and nobody realized which was really more my fault. To make a long story short, Bob was able to get my car taken car of the same day despite all the bumps in the road. He went above and beyond to make sure I was able to make a family meeting out of town.Their customer service is outstanding, and I will be a repeat customer!!

They have been very realiable, trust worth and always have time to complete service request. Due to driving 2 hours and 15 daily, I had been going to get my oil change too frequently.
