Nice Dairy Queen with a small eating area inside but seats outside in the shade. This store is a half block from the end of the bike trail. After 19 mile ride from the Hobart beginning you are really happy to see this place. This store sells more than just ice-cream but its fast food items like chicken nuggets, fries, hotdogs 🌭 shakes, pop etc.. Ample parking a family dollar is across the street. Good ice-cream 👍🏼and food. Best part, the end of the 10 mile ride!

Last week I ordered a medium chocolate malt. It was absolutely perfect. It was rich in chocolate flavor and you tasted the malt. It was made Boston style with the DQ sticking out. I ordered the same just now. You couldn’t taste the chocolate nor the malt. It was a total disappointment. The only thing consistent is inconsistently. When you are in the food and beverage business one MUST have procedures so that every worker makes every menu item the same way day after day, week after week, month after month, or year after year. If four units of “taste” were put in the first malt than 1/4 a unit of “taste” was put in. This is ALWAYS a management problem because the workers were not trained correctly OR they are not monitored or random spot checked for quality. The classic restaurants in America never very year after year and that is why they succeed decade after decade.

Accurate and friendly service every time, but since its the busier location in town you can expect a line in drive thru during busier hours. Staff wears gloves and masks as mandated by the state.

There are 2 DQs in Chesterton....this one does not have any cheeseburgers, chicken strips, or anything fried at all. Strictly ice cream and hot dogs!

Horrible service how they talk to there costumers and make there food is disgusting i was there wensday at 445. The girl was rude and didnt were gloves even wiped her nose and finished making are stuff . I throu it away and went to the other one. I will be talking to the health department about them. Heard the owner dosent care so pointless to bring it to his attention

The 13th St. location is the best. The other Chesterton location skimps a lot on the hot fudge, so I drive farther to this location.

I was the hottest and thirstiest (from a very long bicycle ride) that I have ever been. And the lime ice cream freeze was the best thing I have ever eaten.

Friendly staff .They accommodate your requests. When I saw the sign for Smores I was in. One of the girls said to try it with cocoa crush and it was amazing. Definetly a place we will enjoy as a family all year.

Always fast service and no waiting.

I live very close to this location and go occasionally, but I have decided I am not going here any more. Service is always slow, but on top of that, my blizzard is already melted ice cream. Whenever I go to another DQ, they tip it upside down. If this one did that it would end up on the ground instantly. They do not even have half of what DQ usually offers. I understand it is privately owned, but just frustrating. I will go to the one at Indian Boundary from now on. Worth an extra 5 minute drive. This staff is also never friendly, no matter what time of the day you go.

Terrible service. No public restroom (is that legal?) Would not serve tap water - claimed to only have bottled.Dairy Queen is delicious, but I will not be going to.this location again.

It was a 15 minute after we ordered, when I finally got angry and asked what was going on the worker told me that she had dropped our food and had to make fresh but she should have came and told us instead of just making us wait that was just wrong.
