Located at the end of an alleyway, nicely decorated with lights and garden tables. Would recommend stopping by! They have non-dairy milk alternatives including oat milk. They also have a variety of syrups, the lavender was very light.

All i can think about when we visited this coffee shop was location, location, location! its perfect! its easy to find and right by the subway station. i highly suggest the cold brew or the teddy graham which were also suggested by the barista. if youre in downtown or just passing through, youll really enjoy the view here and the coffee options. i should note that there was no inside seating and we ordered through a small window so it was pretty cold outside while we waited for our beverages.

The seats and the lounge chair were really pleasant. Whats more, besides, the washroom is all over developed and stayed aware of. All in this bistro is incredible. I basically like returning here with my mates, family members, and loved ones. Much obliged.

Service is quick. The seating is outside. We enjoyed an everything bagel with sausage bacon egg and chs and it was delicious.

Very cute instagramable spot. Got a cup of regular coffee there, it was boiling hot and impossible to drink. Unfortunately, I was rushing and couldnt wait for it to cool down, so had to pour it out after a couple of sips.4 dollars down the drain.

If you like actually delicious, creamy espresso lattes this place is great! It has unique seasonal flavors like a blackberry mocha or rose white chocolate (both of which Ive tried and enjoyed) which are super good and thankfully not too sweet like most major chains. The first drink I had here was life changing (finally, a good creamy iced latte!) and now I highly recommend Hero Coffee Bar. This isnt even mentioning the beautiful lit alleyway atmosphere in a great commuter location. The baristas are super nice even though they only talk to you through the window as there is no interior. A unique coffee shop to study and read books. No loud noises which will help you a lot to concentrate on what you do. They do have a variety of food and drinks you can select from.

I love their bagel sandwiches (the one with sriracha cream cheese is so good) and they have a nice variety of drinks on the higher price/quality point for a once-in-a-while treat. One star off because every time Ive been here (3 times now) they are out of something/an ingredient for something that I’ve ordered.

This coffee shop is my favorite spot to hang and do my works. I really like this place because it has a nice ambiance and not too crowded as well. They had the most amazing coffee and pastries. The barista was incredibly friendly to converse with. One thing that drew my attention to this location was its architecture. They served the best and most affordable coffee in town.

We came here with my friends for a cup of coffee because we all knew they could serve the best coffee we needed to taste. Horrible customer service... me and my gf had girl (a heavier girl for lack of a better word) attend to us and she was rude, short and condescending. We ordered 2 cappuccinos and asked about pastries and she rudely responded idk about any pastries, which we understood, maybe shes not a local, but she serves us our coffee and gives us one coffee stirrer to share between 2 coffees, and gave us 2 small sugar packets only. When I asked for more she pretended to hear me wrong and gave me just 2 more while making an impatient face, Im not being picky, if u pay for coffee ur entitled to pick ur sugar right? Well not here. We came with an optimistic attitude after seeing the place online and instead left with a bitter attitude. Just goes to show u a little friendly service goes a long way. We went at 2pm so anyone wanting to avoid her attitude should not go at that time. The coffee was great tho. No complaints there. But theres a million other coffee shops with great coffee and much better customer service.

We ate at this coffee shop for breakfast but I wanted to try their coffee as well, and it did not disappoint us! The coffee was amazing and strong and nonchemical. The desserts looked delicious too and the staff were very helpful. We will come back and recommend the place to my friends.

This place is tucked into an alley; outside seating only. Small inside and a ton of drinks to choose from. The iced tea was great; my friend had the nitro cold brew. I would stop in again. They carried local baked goods from a small independent baker. This is definitely a grab and go place. I happened to be there on a nice spring day and it would have been perfect to sit outside.

Hero Coffee Bar is a beautiful coffee shop hidden in a downtown alley. They have delicious coffee and food, including some wonderful vegan treats.

We chose this place because this is one of the best places to get coffee. Last week, we stopped here for coffee since we wanted to spend time here. We love having chit-chat over the cup of coffee. I just think that the chocolate overpowers the coffee that you may think that youre drinking hot choco. Its worth a try!

Im a chai tea drinker and Hero has some of the best chai Ive had. My friends got coffee though, and they said the drinks were really tasty. In addition to being a very charming little spot to stop and get your caffeine fix (there is seating outside when weather allows) the service is great and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely be back on my next trip to Chicago.

I was spending the weekend in Chicago on December 22, 2017 and wanted to find a coffee shop that wasnt Starbucks. ( Per my husbands request) I searched Google for something and found Hero since everything else seemed to be closed. We ventured the freshly snowed sidewalk to find this coffee shop that was nestled in alley. The coffee and breakfast sandwich were phenomenal. There is no place to sit inside but there are tables set up outside of the shop. This will be my go to coffee spot when Im in Chicago

This place has the most adorable patio seating in the Loop - nestled between two buildings on East Jackson, it almost looks like a secret chamber from Harry Potter. Unfortunately, that is the only seating in the place and if more than 3 people go inside youre going to be rather personal with them.The coffee is an art-form here, but even so they will still let you order a mocha. I really enjoy the vibe, just wish it were bigger.

Do not try to go on a Saturday. I’ve tried going twice and they’re closed both times. Not sure how this place makes money.

The European style alley leading up to the entrance sets the mood and makes you anticipate your coffee. The shop itself is very small, just standing room to get your coffee and get out. One of the greatest coffee places in town! Friendly baristas, interesting selection of beans and processes in an extremely instagramable set up! They roast coffee nearby in Fulton Market, freshly roasted beans are the key to a great cup!

Very nice little place. Found this place while visiting with friends in Chicago. I would definitely return. I got the iced caramel latte and some friends got coffee and other drinks too and they all enjoyed them. My latte really perked me up too and it was yummy! The staff was also nice. They do not accept cash which is probably a good thing but also a heads up. Cards only I think. I would definitely find this place again for coffee whenever Im in Chicago next! Coffee is life!

Holly Cow, the best coffee in town, a gem of a spot. But hard to find as it is tucked in between two large buildings on Jackson.The above was my past review. I had first given this spot 5 star now DEMOTING it to 1 star. The coffee is still good, but the staff is now HORRIBLE. These two girl-baristas literally ignored me (mind me they saw me waiting there) while I was the only customer in this tiny space! I am not kidding I waited for about a minute (60 seconds is a long time) for one of them get out of their conversation and look at me. And she had the audacity to say YES?, no welcome, How may I help you, never mind customer friendliness... I am telling you I will NEVER hire this type of young arrogant staff especially when you are promoting a great product and a great service, which is simply selling coffee. I am done patronizing this HERO spot. The regional manager needs to fix this before its too late.

This coffee spot is always great! Its a hidden gem in the loop, but worth looking for it. The coffee is amazing and the people behind the counter are always exceptionally nice. Theres usually some outdoor seating when the weather is nice, but its hard to actually find a seat when there is. Regardless, I think the fact that its mostly a spot to pick up coffee on the go is part of its charm.

This place is too cute. It is everything you could ever want out of a quaint coffee shop. The staff is very kind and helpful. Menu is very large and there is a wide variety to pick from. there is no seating inside, only outdoor seating so keep the weather in mind! I would try one of their seasonal drinks! Theyre created by the workers themselves and are very good.
