A precious little gem in a big city, tucked away in Ukrainian village. I love that they homemade and speciality items ranging from organic truffles to grass fed liver paste, all at reasonable prices. Much rather support a small business than large corporate grocery chains whenever possible.

Great store with excellent food.

This place is simply wonderful. All their products are fresh, the coconut whipped cream is delicious and I couldnt believe their chocolate truffles were 100%organic. They are simply AMAZING!

I am so grateful for this place! Its great to see a local store selling some of the highest quality local foods available. Whats even more refreshing is that while nourishing myself, I get to support a store filled with high quality food, run by great people, that isnt another giant corporation. A win win!!

I bought 1 gallon of milk for $ 11.00 to get curdled milk, this should be done after 36 hours, it did not happen, after 48 hours I poured it into the toilet, it looked horrible and stank, its a scam!

A real gem for health foods and fresh quality food. All of the organic produce was actually ripe, unlike some of the mass imported organic fruit at Whole Foods. Amazing meat selection, pastured chicken including hard to find parts like gizzards, feet, and beef knucklebones. Beautiful soy free eggs and duck eggs. Huge selection of raw honey and bee products. And raw milk *for pets only* of course. Lucy the owner is incredible and tons of fun to talk to.

This place has some of the best prices on organic foods. Its very mom and pop and you can find all the big brands along with smaller ones too. They lose a star for not having organic rotisserie chickens.

The staff is friendly and they have a lot of fresh healthy food. Prices are a little high but the quality is excellent. I have been there many times.

Very very fortunate to have a place like this in the neighborhood. So glad I can get raw dairy, grass fed, pasture raised, organ meats, and bones here. Quality items. Highly recommended.

I could not ask to have a better experience when going to a store. Everyone there is friendly and the quality of the food is outstanding. A lot of their produce, eggs, and raw goat milk is locally sourced. I love this place and wish they had more locations.

I honest was looking all over the city trying to find duck eggs and due to all the farmers markets closing (least the ones that would carry them) I wanted to give this place a chance. Even some of the farmers I reached out to who normally would supply at the markets and they said their ducks never lay eggs in the winter so I thought I was really out of luck. Random googling and Yelp brought me to this place.Parking was a little tough but I found a spot around the corner and it doesnt seem like any of the parking in the area is metered so thats a score in my book!Luckily I called ahead and they brought out the dozen I asked for. Otherwise I would have been SOL. I also got a jar of some raw organic honey which I cannot wait to crack open!Pricing: I honestly am used to paying $10+ for a dozen duck eggs at farmers markets but here it was half the cost! What a steal!The people were all super nice and really cool and very easy going!I will definitely check this place out again but I still cant really figure out who their clientele is because some of the stuff doesnt really cater to me and it seems like a mix of a bunch of stuff. I was honestly hoping to see more deli stuff but maybe thats just me. Overall the store is really nice and super clean! I hate clutter and this is very nice! Maybe next time I will try one of their juices!

This is a total gem in Chicago.For people like me, who realize that what you put in your body is 100 times more important than your latest smart phone brand, this place is amazing. Especially since even Whole Foods and places like Plum Market in Chicago sell really sub-par food. Whole Foods sells mostly 1- and 2- rated meat (out of 5). Thats trash.I looked for a replacement and found Amish Healthy Foods, which sells something most other stores simply dont - genuine, healthy food.

This is for the healthy people that strictly follow Dr. Steven R. Gundrys Plant Paradox Lectin Avoidance Diet (correct diet for all humans)- I tried the raw milk, bacon, Turkey and cheddar cheese... The cheese was flavorless, the rest tasted a little bit like commercial products and some of the health issues Ive eliminated started to return. Thanks but no thanks Ill stick to the west Dundee farm Ive been traveling to and having no health setbacks.Again this will only be noticed by strict Plant Paradox Lectin Avoidance Diet followers.

I had a really bad experience here. The lady who works there is really rude. It was a bit of a turn off and even made me not want to come back. But other than that the produce is great but just a bit pricey.

Staff is really friendly and nice, it is pricey but that is to be expected from the quality and mission of the store.

I stop by here every once in a while and ogle all the fresh organic foods they have, and then I see the price tag and reconsider. Still, theyre very friendly, helpful people, and are a good place to get a special treat every now and then.

I have been to Amish Healthy Foods on a couple occasions now, during both of which I was greeted with a smile :) First of all, I love the aura the place exudes: small town-ish, locally produced, things packaged in little baggies- everything I love and miss about being apart of a smaller community. Second: I was stunned by their grains/flours/meats/poultry/dairy selection - in fact, I felt bad that I am mostly a vegetarian because I would love to buy some of that stuff :) The only thing I was disappointed with in their store was the produce. The quality was lackluster (greens wilty and weak) and while I hoped to find local produce, I only found organic produce from California :( Not a terrible thing, but in my recent quest to eat locally I could not stomach buying shmeh produce from Cali.Regardless, I bought a bag of oat bran and will be back for more bulk pantry items in the future :)
