Our new split heater/cooling unit was making a weird noise, so I finally called and got a tech out. Adrian was our tech and was The Best! He was super helpful and took the time to understand what was going on with the unit (spoiler alert: it wasnt anything bad and he was able to fix it). I think the best part though was how nice he was. We ended up talking about plants as he was fixing the unit. It was a nice and unexpected conversation! He was also mindful that it was during a pandemic and made sure to wear a mask properly. I appreciated his expertise as well as the conversation.
Mario diagnosed a failed A/C capacitor and completed the repair promptly. When that was done, he went the extra mile to attenuate the refrigerant level properly, resulting in a much better cooling outflow. He also cleaned the unit thoroughly and answered all of my questions. His high level of professionalism and courtesy are why I remain a Heatmasters customer for over 20 years. Great job, Mario!
I have to replace a 50+ year old boiler in my home.I brought in Heatmasters to look at the current boiler and give me an estimate on replacing it.3 weeks later, instead of an estimate, I am sent an email saying theyre going to pass.That isnt even *minimal* professionalism.

Amazing work by Adrian and the team at Heatmasters. On the first warm day of the year, our A/C wasnt working properly. As soon as I noticed, I called Heatmasters first thing in the morning (around 7:15 a.m.), fully expecting to get an answering service. However, much to my pleasant surprise, a real person answered right away, and said, no problem, we can have someone out to you in an hour. Adrian showed up right on time, and carefully and methodically got to know our entire system, ruling out issues as he went along. Finally, he discovered the wiring issue from the thermostat, and was able to fix it on the spot. The A/C has been working ever since -- thanks to Adrians amazing work. He was extremely polite, professional, and knowledgable. Couldnt be happier with the level of service!
Adrian was so kind and professional. He fixed my AC right, not like the guy before him. He apologized twice for the terrible job that the serviceman before him did. My furnace broke at 4:45 today and Juan came out to my house within the hour. Tracked down a part (in the middle of this blizzard )and drove to pick it up 45 minutes away. They installed it and were so nice and professional making sure to wear a mask and booties to prevent my house from getting dirty. I was simply happy they serviced me when the plows hadnt even come down my street.
I like the fact that we are scheduled with the same repair man. Not sure if the company does it this way, but it is reassuring. He comes here twice a year for servicing. Andy knows my family, my dogs. He always does a great job and has great suggestions. Heatmasters has taken care of our furnace needs for many years.
They came out to repair my boiler on an emergency basis. Mike immediately identified the problem finding that it was clogged with sludge. He temporarily got the system up and running so my tenants had heat and then scheduled it for a thorough cleaning. He showed me how to keep it clean so it wouldnt happen again. I found that they were knowledgeable, professional and honest. Cant ask for more than that.

Dave Vaughn has been servicing my units for over ten years. He is excellent. Always shows up on time and is always very thorough in his maintenance checks and takes time to explain to me what the issues are. He is excellent to work with. Today he had an assistant, Mario, with him who was also very professional.
Heatmasters recently installed a new furnace and AC at our home. From my initial phone call they were very professional and responsive.Larry gave me good advise and a reasonable quote, Robert and Noel the installers were professional and clean. Our 116 year old house has some quirks and we had a drainage issue which was quickly handled by Adrian, an excellent tech who spent time to get to the bottom of it. He explained in detail what was going on and altered the situation to accomodate. He put alot of effort into making sure it was perfect, patiently explained to me what to look out for and was respectful and clean. Both thumbs up!
David knows his job. The only reason I dont give this company 5 stars is (not because of David) but because Im not sure why the invoice wasnt itemized. In other words, I would have appreciated knowing exactly how the cost of the service was broken down.

He is incredibly knowledgeable and does a really good job of explaining whats going on with your system as well as laying out options so you can understand the best course of action to take. Terrible service. They sold me on a three year maintenance plan. Then a year later they said theres no point in maintaining the unit and I should just replace it because its way too old (it was 11 years old which is under the useful life). They had someone come out three times to try to fix it and replaced different parts and kept calling his co-worker for advice on how to fix it (clearly not trained), and still didnt fix it. I brought in another company and they fixed it immediately. The repairman from Heatmasters was subsequently fired per a guy who came out on a subsequent visit. Then on the A/C side they said they were giving me a good deal on the frion and meanwhile it was 10-12x the price I saw online and from reviews that others had with different companies for the same frion. Just now, someone came out and said they shouldnt have even scheduled his visit because he cant maintain it given the notes from the prior repairmen. I asked if they would give a credit for the remainder of the contract and he called his manager and rather than offer a credit they tried to sell me on another contract, which obviously isnt what I need. The repairman said he is also quitting his job there. Youll pay up for this company but you wont get higher quality.UPDATE: I upgraded them to 2 stars, because they refunded the last year where they will not come out to do any maintenance. I wanted to give credit where credits due by mentioning this.
Mike, a field personnel, came out to our shop this morning to inspect our air conditioning units that hadnt been serviced in a very long time. He was incredibly helpful, professional, and all around awesome! He took the time to explain each step of his process and show us how to safely and correctly change our air filters. We are lucky to have had such a pleasant experience and will be using Heatmasters again in the future for our HVAC needs.
I have previously posted my rating for Matt -- he was first-rate! He guided me through the service details so that I should be able to change filters from now on-- as well as the decision-making process of whether to upgrade to a hard start -- at his advice, I improved our system by buying this add-on. I did not have as much luck with your online design -- I tried multiple times to follow instructions and still dont know why it should be so difficult to award Matt his Five Stars

Am so happy I tried a new company to do my winter maintenance on my furnace. Its old, so needs TLC. Anna was great in taking my info and setting me up. Also in being patient the day of and getting me someone timely. Nambi was my technician. Hes great! knows his stuff, is professional and is very helpful in answering questions. David was very personable, especially allowing our son to follow him around. He phoned on his way and was there sooner than we expected, which was nice. I was appreciative that he made recommendations that led to prolonging the life of our equipment.
I had called to schedule for an air conditioner unit service and they had initially told me they would come that day but i would have to pay a special fee. since it was not an emergency i told them they could come the next day and they agreed and they told me that they would call me the following day to schedule the time. On the day they were supposed to come, i called the technician at 2:00 pm and asked about the time; he told me that someone from the office called me early in the morning but i have not received any calls from them. then he told me he would call me back and when he called back, he insisted that someone had called me earlier from the office but now if he comes, he would be charging an overtime rate. This is so unprofessional and i would not do business with this company ever and don’t recommend this company.
Andy was prompt, professional, patient and clearly not interested in taking advantage of a consumer with little-to-no knowledge re: the issue at stake; it seems this is also reflective of the general ethos of Heatmasters. I raised several questions and concerns about our A/C system, and Andy was honest and instructive re: options and thoughtfully took extra time to teach me several tips concerning long-term maintenance and upkeep.I will absolutely be utilizing their services going forward and I highly recommend them without reservation.

Mike, my new service man did an outstanding job cleaning my furnaces for the fall. This was the first time my water ejection pipes were cleaned out with bleach and the humidifier housing removed and cleaned. Excellent work and a complete inspection of the health of my system
David and his trainee (Eddie) were great to work with. They gave an honest assessment of the work that needed to be completed, worked thoroughly and did not leave any mess behind when the several jobs were completed. They also took the time to answer any questions I had and were good at explaining what they were doing while completing the jobs.
My field technician David was great. He called when he was on his way, was on time, and quickly diagnosed the cause of my AC problems. He explained everything that needed to be done before he did it and made sure that I understood what he was doing and why he was doing it. He also took his time and made sure that the job was done properly, which impressed me given that it is almost 100 degrees outside. We have had a certain person for 30 years come to our home and service us. We can no longer have this valuable person and we were hesitant when we found out a newer person would be coming. We’ve been relying on this company for just over a year. Our Sears furnace died after just a few years right in the middle of a very cold winter. Heatmasters not only installed a new one but explained what had gone wrong with the old one and how to maintain the new one. We purchased a very reasonable service contract and they come out twice a year to check furnace and a/c. They continue to not only do their work well but explain clearly what they find.

What started out as a cleaning appointment quickly turned to a full replacement after the evaluation by Pete and David alerted me to the need for a new furnace. John soon followed, sharing the sales options with me in my home. And the next day Tomas and Luis spent the day installing the new furnace. They were able to answer all my questions which quickly put me at ease. Then the next day Ivan came by assuring me that the furnace was running fine and my homes duct work was the likely cause of the uneven heating that I was experiencing. Our home is very old! This is something that can be addressed in the spring when Heatmasters returns to install the A/C unit. Each crew left our home as neat and orderly as it was when they arrived. David V. serviced our gas boiler on 11/21/2016. He did a great job and was very proactive in diagnosing some issues we had, and with coming up with a solution combining immediate needs with work that will be necessary but could be deferred for a short period. Its an old unit but willsurvive for a few more years thanks to Davids efforts.

Had AC issues over the weekend, like many in the city. I called Heatmasters, as their Reviews posted seemed current and customer service focused. So I gave them a try, I called in the morning and spoke to Juanita, she was amazing very customer service oriented, seemed as if I picked the right company. Then the technician showed up, his name was Ivan, he did great work, seemed like he knew what he was doing and was very courteous and focused on getting my AC diagnosed. After diagnosing he stated the fan was the issue, I said OK what is the price, he called into the office and gave all the information on my unit, they called back and stated 550.00 for the part, I was a little cautious but knew I needed it fixed so I asked about the brand, he said it was generic but would work, I asked if it was cheaper than replacing the original he said it was by a little, I said OK, only 15 minutes later did I google the part and find it for 99.00. It saddened me that all this great service went down the drain with a mark up so high. The work consisted of removing 12 screws and changing 4. So my final note is be super cautious on their pricing and if you do work with them, I hope you talk to Juanita and get Ivan, just make sure and Google the part prior to giving permission. I wish I did. Thats why they got the three stars, they went to the service leading up to the billed work.

Ken S. came out to service our boiler and get our radiators going. We are new homeowners, and appreciated his patience as he walked us through the system, pointed out things to pay attention to, and explained how and when to perform certain steps. We feel much more confident about operating the system now.We did have to call Heatmasters the next day because the second floor system is still not operating correctly. They were prompt to schedule a technician to come take another look. I have no doubts they will be able to resolve the issue for us.

Ive been dealing with Heatmasters for years now, and I find them to be professional and knowledgeable about my heating and air-conditioning needs. I recently signed up for their three-year inspection plan and, though it was pricey, I figured it would be good to make an investment on my heating/air-conditioning care here in Chicago. They are always prompt in reminding me when an inspection is due and their inspection crews are polite and considerate. I recommend them.

All our AC/Furnace work service has been accomplished via Heatmaster for over 20 years now. Weve always been grateful and satisfied with the work completed. We now always request Brock to come out to the house because he is timely, friendly, courteous, and knows his profession well. He always explains what he is doing, what may need to be done in future, and also explains the inner workings of the system as he works. He photographs and documents his work and any potential future work that may be needed, to keep an eye on things for us. We truly appreciate and trust Brock - and our dogs give him their seal of approval too!
Technician was great. I was fully prepared to break the bank and buy a new furnace and air conditioner. Lucky me, it was not that serious. Brock quickly identified the issue, resolved it, and did not try sell me something that I did not need. Very satisfied with my service. Honest, effcient, clean and quick.

Received a call from Daid V. of Heatmasters at 4:15 pm on a Friday before the Christmas Holiday weekend. David was willing to stop by my house at 4:45 pm to check my boiler. The boiler had been down for about a week. David got the boiler working and has not failed since. He was very knowledgeable and pointed other issues with my boiler that I would have never noticed. I have been neglecting to have my boiler checked annually and realized that it a risk safety wise and financially to not have your boiler or furnace checked at least once a year. Leave it to the Pros. I recommend Heatmasters!!!

David diagnosed the issue with our furnace not running as efficiently as it should, gave us the best solution for the problem and remedied it. We have serviced our a/c and heater systems for the last 5 years with Heatmasters. They are easy to schedule. The technician has been very courteous and knowledgeable. Adrian was detailed in his descriptions of issues that he found. He explains in good detail.
David V. was extremely thorough. He explained everything to me before he did the work. We also have a plan for some work going forward. I felt confident enough with David and Heatmasters to purchase a long term service package.
Both Maggie and Rene were polite and helpful. Maggie of the Office Staff called the morning of the appointment and confirmed that Rene would be coming in the window of time of the appointment. Rene of the Field Personnel worked very carefully cleaning and checking our air conditioner. He explained information about our equipment and answered all of our questions thoroughly.
