Normally I like the ease of self serving but the machine stole my money twice when there was no ice available for me to take.
These people are gross. They have mold and fungus growing in the freezers that they keep the ice they sell to you in! Their slogan is Healthier than homemade! Couldnt be further from the truth! In fact they have mold and hygiene issues all over the factory. They had employees barricade one of the freezers, that had the biggest mold issues, up with pallets to keep the city inspectors from seeing the mold. Do not buy ice from them!
Nice to find a place that services customer dry ice pickup! !! As the other reviewer said its a little confusing to find the dry ice. You need to drive to the back (go along the fence between U-haul and Home City Ice parking lot to the office back above the loading docs) and go up the stairs to the office and pay cash only for the amount of ice you want. The guys downstairs will put it in Your container for you - bring your own cooler. Cost about $18 for 10 pound block.
Reasonable prices and they have dry ice, which can be hard to find. However, actually getting it involves going around the back with no signage, walking upstairs, paying in cash, and then waiting for someone to meet you. It is confusing and somewhat nervewracking.
3.50 for 22lb of ice is ok price not worth the drive for that price. Check out on vending doesnt give you total of purchase.
Slow to unload because no room for forklift. They use walkies. Have to find someone because the place is like a maze. Office is behind the building. Tight place to back up coz of cars parked on the street.FYI, Stay away from ‘Kevin Ice Man Lund’, he might eat u up (he is RUDE)N/n
