We cant thank Aaron Brothers enough. They came to our rescue after another mover failed to show up (and cost us an extra months rent). Aaron Brothers came on time, as promised, and efficiently moved my daughters apartment to a storage unit. They even wrapped items that needed protecting that she couldnt figure out how to wrap. They are dependable, fair priced for the quality of the service and work quickly and efficiently. Zero damage and 100 percent great experience. We will definitely use them again,

Supporting black owned business is important to me, so I chose Aaron Bros for my move. The pre-move experience was good; I found that phone calls were handled well and timely. The crew who worked my move however was horrible. Except for the lead, these guys worked like kids cutting school: slow, unmotivated, sloppy and stoned. When they arrived at 8:30am, they reeked of weed. My furniture was damaged with scratches here and there, with a deep gouge on one item after the move. Plus, the end cost for the move was almost DOUBLE THE QUOTED PRICE. Overall, a very unprofessional crew and horrible experience with this moving company.

We had a *huge* move, consolidating two apartments into one, across different neighborhoods and with multiple flights of stairs, and the whole team were incredible. Professional, careful, and just really lovely. We are incredibly grateful for their work, not a single item was damaged, everything was wrapped extremely carefully. Highly recommend!

I am so grateful for all the hard work of Greg, Cordell, and Lamonte who moved an absurd amount of heavy dressers, bookshelves, and couches. like...soooo many.. and roughly a billion boxes. And all same day because our other movers had to emergency cancel.. they were so dedicated and kind and understanding and such incredibly hard workers.. seriously, it was like magic. And working with the company office was so wonderful. they were so accommodating and understanding and took such good care of us.I highly recommend!

Poor communication. Reschedule my appt for next day after I had been waiting for hours. I had to keep calling for updates because no one called me back as promised. During the move, my wall was damaged. My lamp was broken and the mover didnt tell me it broke originally. When I asked about the missing piece, he told me that it was in the truck. I kept asking then he asked me not to get mad. I immediately knew what he was about to say. He didnt offer an apology or showed the least bit of empathy which annoyed me even more. Just left me with a broken lamp. Smh One mover was obviously not happy about doing a move that day and moved very slow. ONE of the movers did come back to offer an apology as he moved the last few boxes in and mentioned that he didnt pack the lamp. I will never use again nor recommend to anyone else.

I wish zero stars were an option. They CANCELLED ON ME SAME DAY. NEVER EVEN CALLED TO TELL ME THEY WERENT COMING. I called the office asking where the movers were and the employee passively told me they had workers that werent able to come in and to start looking for someone else. He hung up on me a couple times and made no effort ameliorate the situation. Earlier that week I had to call the office twice just to get a confirmation email on the move; I should have seen this coming. To make matters worse I still needed to use that storage facility and once again, the employee made no effort to tell me who would be there to make storage available later that day.FORTUNATELY, I called Woods and Sons Movers, and Vance showed up to pack and move my stuff within HRS!They deserve one star for their Cottage Grove location. I do recommend that location for storage as they turned out to be far more professional and capable of rendering services. It felt like a dream after dealing with Bronzeville!

TOTALLY FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. They drove 30 miles to move me 5 miles. This was the most professional of the 3 moving experiences in my lifetime. Guys were proficient at furniture and appliance prep. Stairs were involved, but were no problem for them. Mostly, I was amazed at their interpersonal skills toward me as the customer, and among themselves. They worked so well with each other. Great Guys and a Great Company!

I want to thank Ken, Troy and Hakeem for helping to make my daughter’s move a smooth experience. These three you men exhibited very professional behaviour and courteousness. It started off nice speaking to Mr. Wendell then after he could not explain, or perhaps I did not understand he gave the phone to some one who stated they were a manager find that hard to believe he was so unprofessional and I’m using a polite word I continue to question him about a traveling fee and how does it work he got frustrated and told me they could not service me and hung up the phone in my face I called back to thank Wendell who was polite, and to tell him to take his professionalism to another company, because the person he put me on the phone with, should find another job maybe, please if you are looking for professionalism this is not a place to shop, Wish I could give 0 ratting.

Caused significant damages during move. Will not reply about filing a complaint or reimbursement for damages. Stay away from these guys.These guys are the absolute worst. Well almost the worst, Tims Movers from Craigslist are the real absolute worst. These jokers damaged goods and wont return calls, emails or texts for a reimbursement. They hire goons off the street and call themselves professionals. Youd be better off burning your old stuff and buying all new stuff when you move since your old stuff will be destroyed in the move. And Derrick will lie until his dentures fall out that nothing was damaged. Even with pictures.

I hired Aaron Bros. for a last minute job to move a very large entertainment unit out of one of my rental apartments. They were able to accommodate the quick turnaround for the move. The movers were extremely careful with the unit which I definitely appreciated. They used shrink-wrap to ensure the unit wouldn’t get damaged and took care in moving this massive piece of furniture. Because of the quick notice on my end for the unit to be moved, they were able to store the unit at their facility while I determined its final destination.The office staff also kept me in the loop in regards to arrival time and the status of the move - a huge plus with my busy schedule. I was extremely pleased with their service and would highly recommend them.

I packed a storage unit with Aaron Brothers, and they made it logistically super easy to move my stuff in-- not to mention physically easy, as they had a staff member help me and my friends move into the 5 by 10 unit.I then hired Aaron Brothers to move my belongings into my Hyde Park apartment. Sultan, John, and Nelson were very friendly, speedy, and careful, especially considering that my packing job wasnt great! They moved my storage unit to my apartment in less than two hours.Overall, great service and out-of-this-world customer service. I would definitely move with them again.

We were very pleased with our Aaron Brothers crew this weekend. It was raining all day and the crew stayed cheerful, courteous and focused the whole way through. The lead mover was very courteous, attentive and clear in explaining how they would work. He was clear in his instructions to his crew. They all worked well together. Even a neighbor in the building mentioned the next day how courteous they were to her. We would definitely recommend them.

Aaron Bros helped with my move twice (moving things into the storage from an apartment, and out of the storage into another apartment after a year), and I am very satisfied with their moving and storage services. The crew finished the work quickly and tidily. They are very friendly too. I will definitely use their service again next time when I move.

Aaron Bros. did a great job with my move. It was just a 1 BR apt. move, but they were less expensive than most others on their estimates. Communication with Derrick was good leading up to moving day.Sultan, Glenn and Alonzo (sorry if I forgot one of their names already) arrived a little ahead of schedule on the morning of Sunday, Aug. 30th, but better early than late. I had to drop things off at both a storage unit and my new apartment, and they were quick to wrap the furniture and load the truck in order for an efficient unload at the storage unit. Once at the new apartment, they were even faster at unloading. Never saw them careless with any boxes or furniture either. I would recommend Aaron Bros. to my friends, as my two old roommates did for me.

I had to write a review because i never had movers like these guys! On time, careful, and had great attitudes. Three men moved me after wrapping everything and performed in a major rainstorm. I cant say enough about them! Thank guys!!!!! Top notch job!!!!

The only good thing about this move was that I got my stuff moved! The worst thing you can do as an employer is send disgruntled employees to complete a job. They were actually inquiring with the Building Employees about how to apply for employment....No Cooperation or team work they were just there.

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever moved with. EVER. Totally unprofessional and inexperienced movers. You would do better just recruiting a few young guys off the street to move your things. I tried to just get over it and not leave a bad review, but now that I was just hung up on by a member of their nonprofessional staff, I will share my experience. I caught the boys they hired to move move my things literally opening up my things and going through my personal items. I was so enraged that I had to call the owner in the middle of the move to come actually direct his staff. They were more concerned with trying to figure out what I did for a living and my life than packing my things. I later discovered they had taken a break and gone to get food from a nearby store. Keep in mind I was paying by the hour! The move was supposed to take 4 hours. It literally took all day and I HAD TO HELP. I had to actually verbally get them to move because they kept stopping and being social and arguing with the older mover. I asked them to pack my things in the storage with certain boxes that I would need in the front. They didnt. Instead, one of the movers was soliciting me for individual work. Now I will have to hire other movers to re-pack the storage. It was important for me to find a minority-owned business to patronize but PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. Moving is stressful enough. Dont add to your stress by hiring this company. You will waste time and money.

This was the absolute worst and most unprofessional service, moving or otherwise, I have ever received. I specifically booked Aaron Bros because they said they could do an early morning move (6:00am). I received a confirmation call at 10:00am on a Wednesday the day before I was supposed to move. I called them back as soon as I was available (4:00pm, as it was a workday) and was told that since Id taken too long to respond (again, I responded 6 hours later on a workday) that the movers were now going to come at 8:00am instead of 6:00am. When I expressed my frustration the man on the phone responded I will make a herculean effort to get your movers there earlier. Fast forward to the next morning, the movers show up at 8:45am, so I am now 2 hours and 45 minutes behind my original scheduling. My things are packed and loaded with no problem, but when we arrive at my new place the movers start complaining to me because there is already a moving truck in the alley and nowhere to park on the street. Perhaps the crowded street could have been avoided if my movers were not almost 3 hours late, but I digress. They express their complaints to me, to which I respond I have no idea what to tell you, its June 1st and this is how its going to be. Finally they find a place to park, my things are moved in, my 50 TV is left on the floor instead of on my TV stand and my HDMI cable was lost. Awesome. I still tip the movers anyway, the gentleman I give the money to announces to the rest of the crew how much Ive tipped them while I am literally standing no more than three feet away from them all in the same room. This service was extremely unprofessional from planning to execution and given the amount of phenomenal movers in Chicago (The Professionals, New City Moving, Action Movers, to name a few) I recommend you stay far, far away from Aaron Bros.

Aaron brothers has been a stapler in the African American community for quite a while. They have employed people constantly and are unheralded. I would be remiss to not acknowledge the diligence they have had in keeping a business afloat while constantly vetting new talent. Carrying and lifting furniture is not easy. Teaching a person how to handle furniture and them exercising the things you taught are two different things. Nobody finds out that there is a rotten apple until after something goes wrong. That is why you see a wide range of reviews. Just like when you go out to eat its not the place, its the COOK, when you move, its not the company, its the MOVER! When my old company used them, they were excellent.

Hey never used a moving company before, but these guys were great. Appt time 8:30am they arrived at 8am ready to work packed up a 1200 sqft studio in 30 minutes. I can sing nothing but good things about my experience with Aaron bros moving company

We had Steffans team; 3 guys. They really knew what they were doing. They made sure to wrap up our furniture nicely. They got our huge couch out of our weird doorway like it was nothing. We got the move done in about 2 hours. Great price too compared to others. They were also right on time and nothing was damaged.

I was told one price on the phone but it was $200 more when the movers came to my apartment on moving day. The lead guy needs to be more professional. I see they just threw the bottom pieces of my bed together & one piece wasnt put together at all. I dont know their names but I will say the guy with the bald head was very nice and professional. I wouldnt recommend Aarons brothers moving company due to the unprofessional leader, receiving one price on the phone & another way on moving day, and my bed not being put together correctly and they left a piece of the bed off!

They are the worst ever!! They should get a minus 5 stars!!2.4 years later and still waiting for a settlement. They hire day labor which is fine for most jobs but as movers they dont care about your belongings. They were an hour late and didnt shrink wrap our furniture. We had so many things damaged and when we talked to the owner Derrick he hid behind the 30 cents per pound insurance. Had we known that this is how he does business we would never have let them touch our things!!If you like your belongings......DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Hired Aaron’s Bros three weeks prior to my move. Received a quote and confirmed my move time to be 8:30 AM to meet the movers at my move out address. Day of the move, got a phone call at 8:30 AM that they could not do my move and would send someone in their place. The subcontracted company showed up three hours later, missing the window I had scheduled with my new buildings engineer. Once I’m moved in, the company had charged me $200 more than the initial quote and told me they only took cash, leaving me to run around looking for an ATM, which was frustrating because these were all questions I had asked when I asked for the initial quote. Basically, Aaron Bros screwed me the day of my move and lead to a chaotic, stressful and expensive day.

On time and on point. They actually arrived 30 minutes early. Moved everything out effectively, efficiently and without damage. Moved everything into the new place even faster without any damage, even set up the beds in all 3 bedrooms. The 4 man crew was super cool and relatable (Im big on relatability) and very respectful towards my wife and kids. I would definitely hire them again and recommend to friends as well.

What can I say. I lost my hours (not showing up in the appointment, had to wait in their office several hours deaf), money (almost $800 total for studio move!), damaged furnitures, a lost item, and finally blamed as a liar (when I mentioning about lost item). I was told to show up at 8 am in the storage to put the rest of stuff back when I did, and they dont show up and say Something happens. with deal with it attitude. Not even a single apology. Talking to them is of no use. They use my belongs as a hostage. Manager explicitly says if you hold one person in a 3 people crew for a 10 minutes, it can delay the move for more than 30 minutes. WOW. For a company with 60 people, if you speak to a guy for a 60 sec, you will be blamed for stopping the entire company for a hour! Amazing!!! STAY AWAY.

The worst movers I’ve every seen! They showed up over an hour and a half late with no phone call. The short chubby African American guy at headquarters then got a horrible attitude with me when I asked why they didnt call. Then I smelled liquor on the breath of one of the movers. They change their quotes and prices like the wind. What they say orally will not be whats emailed so watch out! They are no only the most unprofessional movers Ive ever encountered but Id argue they are the most unprofessional company Ive ever encountered. They also charge huge fees for wrapping and seem to treat their employees and customers like subservient children. Lastly, the do not put all of their policies in writing. Huge warning sign. I will always stay away.

With many vendors that I encounter, I usually end up with a pros and cons list but with Aaron Brothers I got a Like and Loved List.Like1) Their flexibility to work on our schedule and move dates as necessary.2) They were on time and ready for work3) They are Serious and organized4) Their insurance was for 30,000 of any potential damage as opposed to most other moving companies that wanted to insure us for about $.60 cents per pound.Loved1) They performed their work carefully and did not make one scratch on our brand new bamboo flooring even while moving 600-800lbs of granite.2) Their final price was lower than their quoted price. Saved money3) Finally, I loved that they worked with our staff to put things no matter how big or small exactly where and how we wanted them.4) They worked fast and coordinated themselves as a team.

Had to move apartments this weekend and Eddie and his crew did a great job moving especially considering how hot it was and the flights of stairs involved. They were fast, efficient, and friendly. Would recommend to others.

This is the worst moving co.oy in the city of Chicago. They moved me in 2014, and one of the movers from the time they began to move my items kept saying he could move my items to the next location fast. Just make sure I give him a tip. The young man talks with a studder. They broke my drinking glasses and broke my Gold vase pedestal. Be the young man who talks with a sudder was rushing. He asking me for the tip the time they were moving. When we got to the next location and the young man who talks with studder walked past me he smelled like he had been smoking marijuana. He continued to ask me for a tip for moving my items. When they finally finished and the guy discovered I wasnt going to tip him he caught an instant attitude with me. So before they lpulled of in the truck is when I noticed my pedestal was broke and turned upside down, and placed in the corner. I immediately ran outside the inform the mover of what he had done and he ignored me jumped in the truck and drove off with the other two guys. When I contacted this company to tell them about this they totally disregarded my complaint and did not pay for my pedestal or glasses they broke. ...I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!

I just called to report it & I was told I had to wait until tomorrow to speak to someone about it. If you go to their Facebook page you’ll find other reports about theft & complaints about poor service.

Moved into my last May with Aaron Brothers...They damaged my bedroom and living room furniture!!! Cherry Wood End tables I had for 12 years with no scratches...Scratched and damaged broke the foot of my couch and bed!!! They need to be out of business!!! And they over charged! Management was very nonchalant about the damages and my moving crew just left my things without notifying that they were leaving...very unprofessional...use them at your risk of all valuables being damaged and lost

I made an appointment with Aaron Bros. at 8am on Sept 27. Approximately 10 minutes before 8 Deon, Luther and Romell were there. At 10am they were done with moving my three bedroom apartment to their storage facility. I really appreciated the fact that they were not only on time but before time and worked so thoroughly. Im looking forward to moving out of state and I just hope that I get the three mo movers - Deon, Luther and Romell to do it.

The moving guys came on time, the leader was making sure everyone was doing something.

These movers were horrible. My tv cabinet was ruined. They couldnt get the boxspring up the stairs causing me to have to buy a new boxspring. My bedroom set was not screwed in so now the bed is broken. When reaching out to the manager. It took several phone call attempts before speaking with someone. Dont waste your money or time with these movers.

NOT WORTH THE STRESS! I recently contracted Aaron Bros moving company to assist me with moving last Sunday, April 29, 2018. When I initially contacted Aaron Bros, I explained some reservations I had regarding negative reviews I saw online. The customer service rep I spoke with assured me that I would have nothing to worry about, and offered to add their best supervisor Sutan. I also stressed the importance of having an an early move time to avoid traffic (a few reviews said they were extremely late or had to reschedule the day of). Again, I was assured by the service rep thed be on time, and even listed the move time 8:30am on my quote.Fast forward to the morning of my move, I received a call 7:45 am informing me of a problem with the truck that was supposed to be used during my move. I was asked about the items I needed to be moved to see if they would fit into a smaller truck. The guy I spoke with determined that all my items would fit and again assured me everything would be OK. I was also informed that the movers would be late due to them working so late the night before. I get things happen, but like I explained in the beginning, it was VERY important to have an early move. Luckily they were only 30 minutes late, the move started at 9:00 am.My move team was Stephen, Anderson, and Huddleston no Sutan as originally promised. Despite the movers being 30 minutes late and not having who I was promised, things seemed to be going pretty smooth (or at least I thought). That is, until it was time to close the truck. I dont know if it was how they packed the truck or if the truck was in fact too small form my things. It took at least 15-25 minutes for the three of them to cram, push, and smash my sofa and things onto the truck to get the door to properly close. At one point, they wanted to try and drive the truck with the door partially closed, stating that it shouldnt open. Finally got the truck door properly closed and secured; drive time was good we just barely beat traffic. The move in to my new place seemed ok, we finished at exactly 4 hours (took another 20 min to open the truck).So heres why I gave one star: Its May 6, 2018 and Im missing two (2) of my sofa legs. The movers took the legs off during the move and NEVER put them back on, I later found out they were left on the truck. Ive called Aaron Bros several times in the last week asking about the sofa legs! THIS COMPANY HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! They do not follow through. I was told that I the sofa legs would be delivered to me on two separate occasions (never happened). Yesterday May 5th I called to make sure I would receive my legs, the guy I spoke with said they were out on jobs but would deliver the sofa legs for sure. The only thing I said was ok, can you call before you come? Its May 6, 2018 4:17 pm and I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY SOFA LEGS! I called around 2:33 pm and was told that since I asked to be called before they came, this is why I havent received my sofa legs. They thought I wouldnt be home. Total BS! On top of this, the guy nonchalantly says well we will contact you Monday to schedule a time for you to pick u your sofa legs. Why do I have to chase this company down for my things that they forgot to deliver? All I want is communication. Ill follow up once I receive my sofa legs. Im really regretting using this company and should have gone with my first mind after seeing the reviews. Lesson Learned.

The company charged me $931 and didn’t move all of my stuff! They sent 4 men but only 3 worked. We had to make a second trip and the older guy Ronald refused to put the items left behind on the truck! It took them 7 hours to do a 4 hour job! The supervisor was rude and unprofessional when I called to have my concerns addressed! I will never use them again and won’t refer any of my friends or family to their company! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office. I paid for a service and I didn’t get that service in full! I’M PISSED!!!!!!!!

I have moved twice using Aaron brothers and both times they did a fantastic job!

I did my research before choosing Aaron Bros. I called and asked all the recommended questions but it did no good. This was the worst experience ever! I was given an estimate of $300 - 400 but the final bill was a little over $1,000! I was told by the manager that they didnt do $300 or $400 jobs. I was also charged a trvel fee of $110 but this fee was not communicated none of the 3 times I confirmed the reservation BEFORE move day! The manager informed me that they are only obligated to give their hourly rate....nothing more! This tells me that they can tell you anything they want and youre at their mercy because you have to move! Because I questioned the NEW information they were giving me, they threatened not to move me knowing that I had to move out of my old apartment on the day scheduled. The movers even had the nerve to throws hints about getting a tip!!! Boxes that were marked clearly FRAGILE and/or GLASS were stacked under much heavier boxes. The mover who was responsible for completing the paperwork at the end of the move was upset because I would not sign the paper to indicate I was satisfied with the work that was done. Keep in mind, they already had my money! Because I wouldnt sign the paper he was going to leave without finishing the job. One of the other guys tried to finish what he could even though the lead mover kept pushing him to leave.Someone named Anthony called me from Aaron Bros. to see if they could use me as a reference. I almost dropped the phone! I told him no and let him know that it was an awful experience. He simple said Okay. A good business would at least ask questions if they get negative feedback!The only satisfaction I get from this experience is the knowledge that you reap what you sow - eventually Aaron Bros. deceitful and immoral business practices will affect their business because Im sure Im not the first that has had this eperience nor will I be the last.

I had a terrible experience with them. I believed they intentionally moved slowly so that I could be charged at a higher rate. Additionally, they broke one of my mirrors and hid it from me. Overall, very unprofessional.
