They stole my original catlatic which I provided to them . then install aftermarket in 2 week light came on . Then took to honda they showed me it not original.

Awesome awesome awesome, you have to come early because they get very busy, I had a lawnmower sounding car, and after waiting about 45 minutes after my turn came up I couldnt even tell my car was running it was so quiet. They replaced my cracked resonator and my car sounds amazing. Will do business again.

I’ve been trying to get an oil change for 2 weeks! I’ve been turned away 4 times. First time I went to this establishment the young lady at the desk turned me away telling me to come back the following day. I come back the following day they no longer have any oil and to come back that next week. I get there early in the morning that week the young lady tells me to come in the next morning to get a oil change because there was a 4 hour wait they had just opened. I specifically asked the young lady will there be oil in the morning she said yes there will be. I get there this morning and there is no oil again. They will not be getting my business any longer. This is ridiculous

Broke my heart today... Made me wait for Over 3 hours for an oil change... I will give them credit for finding a major problem, but customer service was terrible & they couldnt even give me a receipt for the work I had done. They have to do better and take care of people right all the way. I know they can do better and I havent fully lost faith in them.

They did not open on time. Then at 9:45 took a break, all I was here for tips to be installed. Employees on phone and walking around taking their time. With a lot full of cars, but turning away customers. Need more professionalism about themselves.

Very unprofessional the receptionist was outside talking and laughing with the workers who was also not working. They only accept cash and they are very rude and nonchalant about taking a long time. I would not recommend. I’ve been coming here for years but today they lost a loyal customer.

Terrible! Needed a full diagnostic, paid 60$ after reading estimate I informed them they missed several things that needed repair. Lady at desk was drinking Boones Farm (true story) and told me I could pay additional 60 for another diagnostic. Mechanic came out I asked why didn’t you check everything he said because I didn’t ask him to. Confused I explained he was the mechanic, not me. How would I know all of what’s needed? He said have a nice day and walked away, the ladies at the desk continued enjoying their 2 dollar wine. The end.

Mid grade prices, work done well. They will show you what needs to be done & show you the completed work if you ask. They are courteous. My only complaint was the debit/credit machine wasnt working, cash only. This was my second time having them work on my car. I would use them again.

Today I came to get my brakes checked at opening time, 8am. They never checked my car even after 4 hours of waiting. They never apologized for the wait and the lady behind the counter acted like it was no big deal. I will never visit place again.

I told them what I needed, and they fixed it at a great price! And also in less than twenty minutes! What more can you ask for?

The receptionist was so rude and unfriendly. Kept me waiting for so long a time and I got my car fixed immediately I left the place. I cant imagine a business centre restrictions on payment for service to only cash. Thats crazy.

Service was very quick today. The receptionist was professional and friendly. I had a flex pipe in bracket replaced on my car and it cost $170. The wait was short but I had to go to the bank to get cash because theyre card machine is down.

Was there for 4 hours, an Hispanic customer walked in and his car was pulled into their garage immediately after he returned to this establishment. Meaning, he left for 30min to an hour, came back & was STILL serviced before me and a black guy who arrived before me. All I came in for was an inspection. Never again. The lady at the front counter is ALWAYS less than thrilled to communicate with non Hispanic people. Spending any amount of time in their establishment and youll be able to see the difference in treatment and its unfortunate. Go to a different location. They shouldnt be in business in the black community at all... Their heart posture is way off.

Nice reasonable price

Velazquez Muffler and Brake checked my brakes after about a month of driving with a grinding sound during braking. I knew it was time for rotor replacement but wasnt sure if I needed 2 or 4. Took my Murano right away at 8am today and called to tell me needed front rotors and pads. Back was still good. Great price and service. Had it ready in 90 minutes! I found a place a little farther away that is a bit cheaper but they leave my brakes feeling spongy. Velazquez does a much better job and is only a mile away! DC

I have only been here a few times for an oil change because its close to the house. I ended up trying them out because other oil change service places on same street claimed there was a long wait or cant service my car even though it was still 3 hours before closing. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and was out of there in a half-hour for an oil Change. I appreciate the good customer service, I will recommend it and go back again myself 👍

My SUV is 13.5 years old but i do keep up with maintenance as ordered by my reliable dependable dealer who I have used since purchasing my vehicle. Thursday i started up my dependable Rav 4 and it was so loud and i felt like it needed immediate attention so someone mentioned taking it to Velasquez & Sons on 9258 South Stony Island and the Staff was friendly, did not have wait long at all before they took my vehicle in for surgery. They informed me of the price and it was unbelievable compared to my first estimated cost elsewhere. I am a senior on a fixed income so I almost did a cartwheel in the waiting room and felt like crying. I will return and recommend it to my friends, family for the service received. My right budget was not interrupted beyond repair. Thank you All

Went there to get my catalytic converters and O2 sensor done to pass my emissions test, bank 1 and bank 2 it says on my receipt. Almost a week later my engine light came back on and I take it to autozone, it read bank 2 is leaning to low, I call to tell them about it and the woman claimed they didnt do the service there which should have been my first clue because its what I literally paid almost 800 for them to do to begin with so she sent me to their other shop on 79th and they intentionally did something to my car! It was almost like you have issue with our service now you have more problems. Their other shop said they have to put my car on their code reader and I bring it in and 8am cause they say first come first served 2 people were ahead of me, I didnt get out of there until almost 11 and they said I needed a gas cap, another converter and an air filter. I tell them Ill come back when I get the money. Meanwhile I get my bar back and its shaking while I drive & when i go over a speed bump i have to go over everyday to get home and something was hanging under my car and was scapping. They left something hanging on my car. I had a smooth riding car, that is now shaking with something hanging. Do not use them.

This is the second time I tried this pace, and in leaving with more problems than I came in with AGAIN. First time went for front end work, left with fuses blowing for my headlights. Second time I gave them another shot and got my catalytic converter done, made it a mile away and my car start stopping on me.They made me get my own tow and was saying, Yeah, its probably that problem we told you about. NEVER is a place supposed to let you go without telling you what could happen or not helping with it less than 30 min after you leave.Came in with running truck, left with one that wont even shift gears. Calling parent company right now.

Needed break pads only. They tried to charge me 500$ for pads & rotors front & back, even though I didnt need them. Velasquez will not just replace the pads. You have to purchase rotors with the pads or no warranty. I declined. RIP OFF!!!! NO STARS

Didnt enjoy my experice. I went in to see why was my vehicle so loud when started. Once they got my vehicle to the back they quoted me a price of $600. I asked them what piece it was that I needed they acted as if they really didnt want to tell me at first and when they finally did all the said was a front pipe...Im like what is that? Bottom line they just werent very helpful. The basically wanted me to pay the $600...funny thing was when I took it to Valasquez on Calumet in East Chicago they told me exactly what is was even showed me the pipe and gave me two options 1 buy a new piece 2 have the piece welding for 125. I chose the later. And saved $475 in the process. Thank you guys for steering me in the right direction. I would not recommend this place to anyone especially a female if they dont know a thing or two about cars. I guess the thought they had them a fool because Im a female with a lexus...not me! I always shop around for prices and plus my fiancee was on the phone.

My experience was horrible. I got an oil change and when I got my car back I saw what looked like a smudge on my driver side bumper until I took a closer look and identified several scratches in the same area I immediately went back inside and told them about it and they basically ignored me. No eye contact was made or concern. They told me it was there before I brought it in and all they did is reverse in and out of the overhead doors, which I know isnt true because I wash my car by hand every week to avoid scratches by the auto wash.
