I have purchased two rugs from Moe at Beautiful Rugs and I can’t say enough good things about the shop! I discovered this store on a whim while shopping in the neighborhood and now I’m a lifelong customer. I’ve never purchased Persian rugs before, but Moe made the process easy, stress free, and fun. He was helpful, informative, and never pushy. He knows the history and details of each piece. Moe even shares helpful pointers such as the correct sizing, care instructions, and how the colors of the rug will look in your home based on your lighting. For example, the living room rug we purchased looked a bit orange in his store, but when we described our living room lighting Moe said the rug would appear deeper brick red. He was spot on! The rug is a deep, rich color, and exactly what we were looking for. His website is a great place to explore his inventory, but nothing beats seeing the rugs in person in his shop. I will definitely visit Moe (and his helpful assistant, Jose!) for more rugs for our home in the future.

Super-useful website showing rugs with descriptions and sizes. We visited the store at 2150 N Halsted today and purchased this beautiful Shiraz rug at an excellent price. The owner made our visit safe and easy. We are grateful and proud to have been able to make this purchase from a local business rather than from a national website. Our dog has decided that the rug is his, but he will soon have to move over.

Oriental Rugs are just adorable. I was interested to buy a Persian rug for my bedroom. I visited Beautiful Rugs and I felt I was in art museum. Their selection fine Persian rugs are unsurpassed. I purchased a fine 10x14 vintage Persian rug from Beautiful Rugs in 2021.The rug is, indeed, beautiful, and in pristine condition. The pictures on the web site really didnt do it justice (which is a shame in a way). The price was reasonable and so is the stores return policy, which is why I felt comfortable enough buying a rug online without seeing it in person. Moe, the owner of the store, was available and easy to work with for questions around logistics, trade-ins, maintenance, etc.Overall I highly recommend Beautiful Rugs, and would shop there in person or online again.

Seriously - do not buy a rug anywhere else until you have visited this place. Moe has an incredible selection of rugs fitting a wide range of styles and budgets, all handmade with exquisite quality. The rugs he has available are leagues better than what you can find in any big box store or online, handmade of incredibly soft wool (and silk... although those were outside of our price range). We are in love with the two rugs we purchased. We previously bought a hand-tufted 100% wool rug from Wayfair, and its actually hilarious comparing the quality differences given that the price we paid was about the same.If youre in the market for a rug, you owe it to yourself to see Moes inventory in person and feel what theyre like. You wont regret it.

We were able to put down a deposit to take a few rugs home for the final decision, and he trusted us to return them a few days later without any questions asked. We walked in just to browse and ended up buying three different rugs! A 20 runner for our hallway, a traditional Persian rug for our living room, and a more contemporary Indian rug for the bedroom. All of which are amazing in quality and have their own unique beauty. We had been working with other rug dealers in the Chicago area, but their prices were more than double those seen at Beautiful Rugs. Rug Cleaning: I needed to clean a hand-knotted rug, and it was an important rug as it was a family gift. I went to Beautiful Rugs based on the excellent reviews. Im very glad I did. I got really excellent service, the owner couldnt be any nicer. I enjoyed talking with him and I will be back. The rug was cleaned quickly and very well; it also had some unevenness in the fringe that he fixed as well. It looks beautiful. I really appreciated the experience that I had at Beautiful rugs. A friend who is a designer brought me and told me how nice the owners are and how reasonable the beautiful rugs were. I had a great experience and now I have five new beautiful rugs in my home. The most beautiful is a Khotan rug. Moe was easy to work with and so professional. Mo is a gentleman, an expert in all matter of beautiful Persian and other ethnic carpets. No hard sales press from MO--he listens to customers and recommends accordinly. I found several rugs I liked. Mo sent them home with us for a quick trial. We have lived with our choice, which was his first recommendation now for almost a month and we are so happy. This store has some of the most authentic Persian rugs that I have seen in the US. The quality of all of the rugs in this store are outstanding. Most of what he is selling is imported from various regions of the world which makes them authentic. I highly recommend this store. Mr. Hamid Shaverdi (the store owner) is an expert on rugs and he can help you find whatever rug you are looking for. He has a Persian Rug that is about 140 years old but it still looks new. He has many other types of rugs in his store as well. In my opinion this is the best rug store in Chicago

I had a fantastic experience with Beautiful Rugs. I called the store and spoke with Mo; it was a few minutes after closing on a Saturday. I purchased a large wool rug from another prominent retailer, who did not offer service for delivery and set up of rugs smaller than 9 by 12. Mo listened to my problem and assured me he would help. The next day, a Sunday morning, he called me to let me know that his delivery and set up men could be at my home that evening to set up my rug for a small fee. The men showed up earlier than promised and were quite courteous. They completed the set up of our rug and rug pad expertly. I recommend Beautiful Rugs strongly. They are accommodating and professional—and, he stands by his word. We will definitely make our next rug purchase, here!
