This truck stop isn’t too bad. I was there a week ago. Parking is good. I had ordered food from their restaurant area and the food was pretty good. The cooks seemed slightly miserable but were probably a little overwhelmed since there was about 7 people including me ordering. The cashier was friendly but she let 1 of her regulars jump in front of me and another trucker and I overheard her telling him that her regulars come 1st. Overall, it’s not a bad place to stay or eat. Don’t know about the bathroom or shower. I didn’t use either one

My fiance is a truck driver and stopped here for his 10 hours. He was hoping to get a shower based on the website for this truck stop. No showers to be found AND he said they were so rude to him. Only good thing was he had a place to park thank goodness. 81 in lower VA is far and few between as far as truck stops go. And the kicker is...its Truck Driver Appreciation Week. Come on Radford...get it right.

Great Little truck stop! Love this place! People are nice and friendly. Place clean and has a lot snacks and drinks. Love their Little River Grill Cafe!!! They have delicious food!!!

The staff here is beyond friendly and very kind. This seems more like a local establishment because they seemed to know all the customers by name. There is also a small restaurant to the back left that was very busy. Wish I had time to try the food.

This is an amazing place to stop as a traveler and as a local customer. The employees go above and beyond to assist you, there is an a great selection and the food is hot, quick and yummy! They even sell those LIFE brand CBD products everyone loves! What more could you ask for?

Decent truck parking, great food (bbq) and great customer service. This truck stop has salads.

Closed restrooms for a long time. When I asked about it I was told they are waiting for the floor to dry. Then had to ask about it again and then given permission to defecate into a toilet instead of my shorts. Waiting for the floor to dry? Really? Because the floor was disgusting!!! Ill post photos. There was an empty toilet paper roll on top of the toilet paper dispenser after being cleaned? In one of them there is a wad of toilet paper on the floor next to a water bottle cap, right after a cleaning huh? Then the corners and baseboards all around the bathroom look like they havent been cleaned in 30 years. The trim going around to doors is filthy at the bottom from using a disgusting old mop and mop water thats as old as the building. Buy a new mop and change that stinking water sitting by the door. THIS is why mom and pop shops fail! Cleanliness is very important! If I come back I will use your lot for parking and I wont even bother coming inside. I will use my travel toilet.

Well I had goods things to say about this place well its update time. I stopped in got me a couple cheese burgars 23.00 for 2 of them with fries. I thought to myself could have gotten a couple whoppers and fries for less or couple big Macs for less. When you stop make sure you got deep pockets or a big fat wallet. I wont be stopping here any more.

Looks kinda dirty, but inside are genuine people who appreciate even strangers. The store is crowded with stuff from candy bars to truck equipment to souvenir shot glasses.Locals hang out in the restaurant (I didnt have time to sit down there) but I grabbed a Chocolate Whoopie Pie - the cake sandwich Moon Pies and Suzy Qs wish they were.

Got a chicken Philly I would say it it was a 9 out of 10. French fries delicious food was hot and fresh. When you pull up you look at the place and you might want to turn around dont do it. Great people great prices got a place you can sit down and watch TV. A ton of locals coming here and picking up food. It was my first time here and I will definitely come again. Crete trucker

I wouldnt have known about this place if not for the truckers path app. Glad I did though, service was great the food hit the spot restrooms and showers were fine and half the cost. Huge variety of beverages including beer. Im a fan of the mom and pop truck stops, normally way friendlier people and the drivers that normally hang out at these places are the ones with manners and good conversations!

Today the Travel Center is having a Customer Appreciation Day with free BBQ Sliders, tiny bottles of Coke products, fountain and coffee drinks, and some vendors set up outside giving away things. It was great fun.When Im in my truck, it is a fine 24 hour stop with a restaurant that has excellent food all the time. Cant go wrong spending the night or a break here.😎😉😊😋

Was here for 2 days, food was good at The Little River Grill. Shower was small and they do not provide towels for $7.00. When I was getting ready to leave went to put garbage in dumpster, just happened to catch the girl as she unlocked it, asked if it would be okay to chunk my trash in the dumpster and was told not really they barely had room for there own trash. As I had been there for 2 days it was garbage from there. Good place for a quick stop for something to eat but for an extended stay, I would advise going the extra miles to Pilot.

Good spot to stop for gas or a restroom break driving on I-81 near Radford. Clean restrooms, good coffee, and a wide range of snacks and drinks. Bigger than a gas station and smaller than a Pilot truck stop. Easy on and off.

Good food at good prices. Pulled into the lot at 930 pm plenty of truck parking. Bathrooms are slightly out of date but still decent facilities. Food was reasonably priced and cooked to order. The staff was friendly and prompt. Lot is dirt and needs more lighting but in decent shape.

The workers were polite and friendly and the food was spectacular! Philly cheesesteak was fantastic as was the cheeseburger. If you like hot wings, they have them hot! It was so worth smelling like grease when we left. Dont be frightened off by the outside. It was definitely worth the gamble in stopping.

Have always heard that the food at truck stops was well worth it. This one was the best kept secret in the world. Everything is cooked to order and with plenty of humor and smiles. Richard is great. Best Hamburger that has ever passed by my lips and a truck load of french fries. For those of you who want breakfast, please try the sausage gravy biscuits. Dont worry about what the place looks like, worry about how full you feel when you leave. Prices are great. NOTE: for all who pass by on I-81 and dont stop it is truly your loss.

OTR Driver here. First time coming to this place. Stayed for 34 break. First off Im glad their here, descent truck parking lot in back, and pretty much kept up good, very few pot holes n if any their very small, also noticed they keep a dozer n gravel on site to maintain lot, thought that was great. The store has various truck supplies, lights, tie downs, etc. Some grocery items which I appreciated like milk, eggs, bacon, sandwich meat, juices, etc. They have a nice kitchen hot n cold foods section with good meals, and a generous open areas of tables. They have one small Shower in Men Room, 7 bucks, bring your own towels, glad for that to. Friendly staff of employees.Now for the not so good, Shower runs out of hot water after like 5 to 10 minutes, and when I opened the shower door was like water all over floor, I cleaned it up Im guessing that the shower door leaks around it, and they need to get some Tile Cleaner, etc and really clean the Men room, especially the Shower. I brought in my bottle of 409 n scrub brush n did my own cleaning. I am a handyman type person myself, I think your water heater has a bad heater element, and shower door needs to be cleaned and resealed.So Im giving 5 stars now, and this truck stop has more great potential, but when I pass thru again n its this condition in Shower n Men Rm I will reduce to 3 stars. I do believe the Owner wants it better, hey their looking for a full n or part time maintenance person, even has signs up, so if your local n looking come see them. I hope theyll consider adding laundry for drivers. Again, glad their here and trucker friendly.

Great experience here. Stopped here after a long day on the road to get some rest. They have a decent area for parking. Not huge, but sufficient since it seems like a lot truckers completely overlook this place. Only complaint is I wish they had laundry. I am headed home tomorrow and wish I could have done it before I went home. But no big deal. I would rather spend my money at a small place like this than a mega truck stop. The little diner inside is great. The food was delicious and nicely priced and the employees were friendly. I had the BBQ. Good choice. I will definitely return here. A new favorite. Update because of the excellent service I got this Saturday morning 11-11-2017. I did not catch the gentlemans name, but your front cashier was awesome. I had gone to the grill to order a steak biscuit for breakfast. I was walking around the drink section looking for apple juice but the juice section needed restocking. He offered to help and went to the back and found an apple juice for me. While it was not cold, he gave me a cup of ice which made up for it. Bigger guy with tattoos on his arms if management wants to recognize this awesome customer service, which is very rare for a trucker out on the road these days. I will most definitely be stopping through here as I 81 is almost always my route home. Thank you guys for restoring some of my faith in humanity. One more side note. The bathrooms were closed for cleaning at least twice while I was here. That is awesome. I have been to pilots that look like they have gone weeks.

Small place, hard to get, off the beaten path. Not very clean inside. Mens bathroom is disgusting, as soon as you open the door, the stench is overwhelming. Urinals were all extremely dirty, didnt bother with the stalls, or using the bathroom at all. Ended up peeing in a bottle in my truck.They do have a little dive restaurant inside. I got breakfast, three eggs, wheat toast, sausage and bacon. The food was very good but I recommend eating it in your vehicle. Unfortunate for me, I chose to sit at one of the four tables inside and you constantly have people walking past you. The tables are in the middle of the room, in between an outside door and the cash register.The people here are friendly enough bit I still give this place only one star due to the sanitary deficiency.

We stopped here for the night, plenty of truck parking for the Semi trucks. My husband and I had dinner at The Little Grill. The girls were very friendly. The Philly Cheese Steak Sub was amazingly delicious, I definitely recommend it.

We didn’t eat here. Just used the showers and got fuel. The showers were awful. No towels provided, but after the shower experience I wouldn’t have wanted to use their towel. The shower was very small and dirty. The water was the only good thing because it didn’t smell. I will never stop here again.

People there are very nice, great service, it’s clean and i love their bacon egg and cheez sandwich lol. Definitly best 18 weelers stop around.

Whether youre a traveler or trucker, you need to stop here. This is how truck stops are supposed to be. Theres parking for semis... probably 40. More than that, the food and service is excellent! Inside youll find the Red River Grill... it has what the majority of truck stops do not have... delish food at great prices. They serve breakfast anytime. The serving sizes are generous. I recommend the philly cheese steak omelet- it even comes with toast. And their bacon, egg and cheese biscuits. Full size biscuits that are loaded. They cook their bbq meats out back on a smoker- youll smell it and deciding what to order will be the hard part. Of course, they have lots of sodas, snacks and candy here too. Maybe you want a personal pizza or a donut... they can hook you up. And there are desserts by the register. The cookies were great too. Their employees are friendly, polite and courteous. You know the food is good because there are locals who eat their too. Lots of tables and a tv.

Idk what everyone is saying! This food is awesome! Apparently my burger was hard to get right but it felt like it was built w love! Build your own burger I got so much stuff on it and on the side but they got it right. It came w fries so the chilli I put it on the fries 😋 I got here at 7:30 and still found parking w no problem! Its no pilot! But its a Radford (Sunoco) I was lucky to catch them!

I usually swing thru here only during the wk.if in state and always mornings. Ive had always had bad experiences on Sundays w the girls cooking. Today no exception. I will never stop here on a Sunday again. Food was cold and old !! Boy at register was rude and because his replacement was late . Not my problem. Get rid of those gals .

The place looks pretty shady from the outside, all metal building looks like a truck repair shop. BUT inside its very clean and the grill inside has very good food!

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for a fill up and restroom break. In the mens room, the music was loud and it was on a hip hop song that was unedited with multiple expletives and talking about all of the different sexual positions that the artist was going to do with his lady friends. This type of music doesnt bother me and I thought it was only on in the mens room so I figured it wasnt a big deal. Got in line to purchase a few items and noticed that the same music was playing throughout the entire facility. A lady behind me was covering her young daughters ears due to the nature of the song and the language that was being played. I mentioned to the check out clerk that this type of music probably wasnt appropriate for all of the customers and she told me to not worry about it and to mind my own business. I paid for my items and left and probably wont be coming back unless it is an emergency. For those travelers with young kids, I would make sure the kids have ear plugs in before going to this business.

Place is a trash hole, youre better off driving another 20mi @ the 129mm to the rest area and sleeping. I guess if your in a big truck and just need a place to sleep its ok but I wouldnt recommend it.

Stopped in at 4:30am to switch out drivers. Used the bathroom and grabbed a biscuit from the grill. Nice place in and out quickly.
