Had my 2020 Express in for an alignment last week because of tire wear.They only adjusted the toe even though the camber and caster needed to be adjusted as well. As a result it pulls to the right. Their paperwork even stated that this would cause issues, including handling and tire wear. I scheduled a return appointment on Monday and had to wait for 3 hours to have it realigned. It still pulls right and the drivers side factory tabs are still in place, although their printout shows the adjustment changed after the 2nd visit. They said maybe its the new tires they mounted and balanced for me that is causing the pull to the right. Not very happy with my service experience or their apparent inability to properly align an almost new vehicle.Edit. 10-4-21After posting my initial review they contacted me and wanted another opportunity to get the alignment right. I discovered that their techs are paid on commission, which explained the half-hearted work initially. They aligned it for the third time and it seems better, although they said if I wasnt satisfied then they were done trying and I should go elsewhere. All told, after the initial alignment I spent about 5 hours waiting on them while they worked on it, not including the trips back and forth. I appreciate their willingness to try and make it right, just disappointed in the initial quality of service.

Well,to start my wife scheduled a oil change and state inspection for today@9:00 am and after almost 3 hrs later I drove of only to find out after getting home that they didnt change the inspection sticker. went back only to find out they Said we requested a multipoint inspection on line and not a state. Was told later from a former employee that the multi inspection is part of the oil change. So what happened to my state inspection. Now its 12 and they Said I have to bring it back after 1 to get the inspection. took the hole day off to get a oil change and inspection doneWhat a waste of a vacation day sitting at shellor. The funny thing is we just bought a brand new car last week from them and will not return again if that is the kinda service we will receive on the new car...!!

It took longer than expected! I had an appointment and was there from 3:30 to almost 5:30. But unexpectedly found out that I had to use my first free oil change within 6 months after I purchased my car? It had been a year. But Shelor honored my first free oil change and didn’t charge me for the oil change, only charged me for my tire rotation. Also all state inspections are free, and I was surprised with a free car wash. They have a car wash just down the street from the dealership, and they give you a free car was coupon. And my little car needed a bath. All In all my experience was very good. I am happy even though I had to wait so long for the oil change. Just make sure that you don’t have to go to work, or back to work within an hour. Best if in the area to drop off the car in am and come back to pick it up after work, or to not make plans at all when you know that you are having to get your car serviced. Thankfully I didn’t have major plans.

After my oil change they give you a paper showing whats been checked on your vehicle ...points inspection paper ...well after I got home and looked it over I wished they had went over this paper with me explaining it. Since Im a woman this would be greatly appreciated and helpful and even if I just get a oil change they should automatically add air to your tires that need it instead you having to tell them to put some in them

The service department was extremely accommodating! Without an appointment they were able to work me in and address all of my issues and have my vehicle back to me the same day. The convenience of being able to pay for my service via email before I picked it up was very helpful. My advisor and the service manager kept me well informed during the entire process.

He was not a pushy salesman at all, I told him how much I could afford and he lined up cars for me to choose from and I picked a few and we went out and looked them over and did a few test drives!! Do not purchase a used vehicle from these people. We purchased a van a month ago, it hasnt been drivable yet. They said a full inspection had just been completed, howeverthe break light was out when we drove it off the lot. Obviously no inspection was actually done. They said they had fixed the parking break before we bought it. It is now sitting in their service department and has been for over a week now. We are looking at legal options.

Salesman was super friendly, and not at all discouraged by my aggressiveness. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted, what I was willing to pay, and at what rate. The showroom was warm and clean. I had a comfortable wait.The guy in financing seemed a bit aggravated. But, he did his job, and did it quickly.Still not really sure why it took 4 hours to get this done. I tried to help make this as quick and painless as possible. But for whatever reason, tying me up for half the day was perfectly fine for a $14,000 car. If I need their services again, hopefully we can get it done in a more timely fashion.

I originally worked With Tommy Manuel at Shelor Ford and was coming in for a New Explorer, when we didnt find an option there we went to an F150 which I loved but unfortunately was not approved for. I had went home thinking I would just wait til next year and try again. But Tommy was behind the scenes still trying to find me something. He messaged me 2 days later about a new equinox, I checked it out and advised it would not work with the white sest and little children but I had found a 2021 LT Equinox and he said let me get back to you. He messaged me back an hour later and said I have some good news can I give you a call. He called and said it was approved with the down payment I could afford, and payments in my payment range. I told him we couldnt get there until 7:30, he said thats fine come in down we will get you taken care of. Since he was at the Ford Dealer he told me when I got there to ask for Rodger Cole. When we got there Rodgers was already working with someone but he came to greet us and went ahead and had us sign some paper work. He was so nice with checking in on us, before we left he made sure we had everything we needed. Rodger and Tommy are both excellent salesmen, they take their time to know their customer, and dont only worry about a sale but what is going to work with a family. We will be coming back in the future and I hope both are there, they will be whom we ask for. Thank you Rodger and Tommy!!! P.S I love the new Equinox ❤

Svc and tire rotation .. mechanic burst my left front tire and damaged left front hubcap .. waited several hrs for tire .. hubcap not avail .. no tire rotation .. when I got in truck to leave parts to my Jack and spare tire just laying on console .. hubcap rcvd but first time they can get me in to rotate tires and install new hubcap not til 13th .. this is unsatisfactory .. if I was lawyer someone or Dr somebody I would have been taken care of right away .. my first experience with Shelor not good .. have to look for another Chevrolet repair shop .. Shelors unsatisfactory!!!!

I am so thankful that Shelor Motor Mile, was able to help me go from a 2000 ford Excursion to a 2012 Toyota Sienna. The staff was able to go beyond the call of duty to work with me on what I wanted and the budget i had to work with. I would recommend going there for your vehicle. Excessive labor costs, didnt actually fix the problem, multiple tripswent to the first chevy dealership to get a recall fixed. I also had an airbag problem diagnosed, but due to time constraints had to return home (in a different city) before getting it fixed.went to THIS chevy dealership (at home), they took the diagnostic report from another CHEVY dealership (with the exact same system), fixed that problem. airbag light 2 days later came back on. then i took it back to them the next day saying they didnt fix it, they ran ANOTHER diagnostic, found a different problem and wanted to charge me ANOTHER 500 dollars to fix it. I said no and still got charged over 100 for laborDONT go here, or frankly any CHEVY dealership at this rate.

Friendly staff. They are willing to go the extra mile. I bought a 2017 mitsubishi outlander this past weeked, they answered all of my questions and made sure I got a great vehicle at a great price. Traded my old car and got top dollar for it. Shaun Fleshmen was a huge help and worked really hard at making sure I had a good experience. He really made the experience so much better and explained every process to me step by step. Will definitely buy from them again when I need to! They even helped my grandmother get a seat on the bench outside while we were processing everything. Everything was clean and sanitized between customers, whicj is a huge plus in this pandemic. Jason Ertz, the Sales Manager,was the first person who greeted me when I came walking into Chelor Chevrolet back in August of 2020. He asked what I was wanting to buy and I said I was interesting in buying a corvette. He explained they were completing the 2020 builds and then they would do the 2021 allocations. I asked if he had anyone on a waiting on a waiting list and he said no. I asked to be placed as the first person on his list for a 2021. I was willing to wait at Shelor because of the honesty of Jason, the dealership. When he asked why I explained that I had a poor experience with every Hampton Roads dealership in trying to get on a waiting list, the follow up, the lack of customer car, the interest, and I could go about the lack of care about these dealerships. None of that was present at Shelor. If I am going to spend 100k on a car I wanted a commitment from the dealer and sales team to me and Jason and that is what I got. They were in constant communication, we even did a pre build based on a 2020 so he had an idea as a customer of what I wanted. He knew the importance of this car was to me and he treated it as his own. When the build time came we spend an 1 hr building it and confirmed itb3 times before it went into production to ensure that there were no mistakes. He kept me me informed of every step of the process from pre production to delivery via text. That is total customer commitment and not just doing a job. Once I took delivery, Brandon Daigle, spend all the time I needed to get familiar with the electronics of the vehicle, set me up with Ontario, Sirius, and with the Chevrolet App on my phone. He showed me me the basics first got me comfortable with that and then built upon the basics once he saw he could handle those skills and provided more and then more. And he made himself available to me in the future if I had any questions. I had such a positive experience with this dealership that if I buy another corvette I will buy it from Shelor and specifically from these two gentlemen. I trust them, the dealership to take care of me, and my car. I will drive the 4 hrs for maintenance and buy the dealership pizza because to me these people are like family.

I have always had the best experience with this place. Bad credit and have bought 3 cars from them. Bowie Clift has always been straight forward with me. I know at least 2 to 3 vehicles I can get before I even make the 2 hour drive. He is off sick so I decided to try someone else. Talked to them for maybe 2 minutes on the phone. I’ve already provided this feedback, but to reiterate, I took my 2016 Suburban in for recall service and inspection sticker. I was told the recall was “computer” and would take takes less than an hour so that my total wait time with inspection and recall would be less than an hour. I waited 2.5 hours only to have “Bart” or “Brett” (I cannot recall) tell me that they were failing the 2016 vehicle for rear rotors and pads bc they don’t meet minimum state standards. He told me it would cost around $500 and would take another hour to do. Disappointed in my overall experience, I took my Suburban to my local mechanic who replaced the rotators and pads for $150 and changed Shelor’s failed inspection to a pass. In the last couple of years I’ve bought a new 2017 Tahoe and a new 2017 Eacape from Shelor. I will be rethinking future purchases after my recent experience in the service department.

I came in with a transmission problem. I also researched the problem and found the specific TSB that addresses my problem. I came in with this information . Originally my service advisor told me they would flush the transmission with the new upgraded fluid type under warranty. After 2 hours in the waiting room the advisor “Joe” then said he got confused and they didn’t flush my transmission. He said they couldn’t reproduce my shifting issues so they weren’t going to do anything about it. I am a trained mechanic and know there is an intermittent problem with the transmission. I also know it is covered under the factory warranty. I was charged $100 for them to drive my truck 10 miles and tell me nothing was wrong with it while I sit in the waiting room 2 hours thinking it was being fixed. I will not recommend shelor to anyone for service work.

Scheduling an added trailer hitch onto my 2020 Bolt was done quickly and on time, which was great. However, to make the order for the trailer hitch was a pain. I left many calls to call me back at the desk at the Accessories desk. Bobby never called me back. I finally had to come in person to Bobbys desk in Christiansburg to get it bought. I tried to get it somewhere else but because it was a new model the two other business couldnt do one. So I was forced to come to the Shelor Accessories department. Otherwise I would not have come to the dealership, because Bobby never returned my calls.

Due to Covid virus I was pleased that the dealership was so clean. All the sales associates were wearing their masks as I was. My sales consultant was Charles Miller who was recommended to me by a family member who had just purchased a 2020 Silverado. I was interested in trying out a Chevy Equinox and wanted a certain color. The color I wanted was not on the lot. Charles went out of his way without me asking and by our appointment day he had the color I wanted on the lot for me to test drive. He answered all my questions and took the time to explain all the vehicle features and connected my phone to the Bluetooth system. Express lane at Shelor is a great example of how every express lane should be they get what is needed to be done oil change turn signal anything they get you in and out within good time. Shelor has great customer service and sells good quality cars they are the best in the state I have had 5 cars in my life but no car dealership will treat you as good as Shelor I hope they will continue to have the same values they do now. I will be back to get everything on my car done. The waiting room is also very clean and has plenty of room to sit down the advisor guided me where the waiting room was and did not just let me guess like other dealerships. Also the prices are very low in my opinion I thought I would be charged a lot like other dealers but only Shelor has low reasonable prices no other dealer can beat Shelor. Every time I walk in you are never ignored like other places Shelor always greets you with a smile and they do not let you stand there not knowing where to go they do a great job of making there customers feel comfortable. It is also very nice that they have water snacks and other items for free in the waiting room for their customers. I am glad I bought my car and serviced my car from Shelor I know Shelor will continue to be a outstanding dealership!! My car has been great to me all thanks to Shelor.
