Repaired water regulatorThe general work was fine but he kept adding on items like wanting to charge 200 dollars to pipe around the water softener. I said i know. You only have to turn to valves to bypass the water softener. That is not needed. Then at end off the job he refused to turn off the basement lights until i called my son to the room. He then told my son...i was just getting those lights for your mom.I shouldnt have to have my son by me to get treated right! Felt like i was dealing with a used car salesman.

I had a leak in my laundry room that was coming from the bathroom above. I talked to the evening answering service and the plumbing division called me first thing the next morning. They were respectful of the time that I had to be out that morning and told me to call when I got back. They were very responsive and early for the appointment. When they needed to come back out the next day for a continued issue, the team of Ryan and Joey worked together to figure out the issue since it wasnt immediately obvious, repaired it quickly and then explained it all to me in a language I could understand. Joey and Ryan did a great job. Joey thought outside the box in order to make my very deep sink work. They worked to clean out meter box in order to be able to replace turn off for main water into the house! Very thoughtful, helpful and kind. I had cataract surgery the day they were working in my home and were very considerate of me.

Received an $1800 band aid on a repair, when they KNEW it would cost more anyway. Took the money, and thought we’d pay them for the repair that should have been made from the get go.RIP OFF COMPANY. I had an emergency plumbing situation today where my stationary tub was overflowing and my toilet was backing up and water was backing up in the bathtub. Joey and Ryan were here within 30 minutes and could not have been more helpful. They knew what to needed to be done, explained everything prior to doing the work and as they were doing the job, in terms that I could understand. They gave me an estimate and had the job done in no time. They moved things out of the way and also cleaned everything up everything perfectly afterwards. I had a appointment 4/19/21 2-4pm…I was offered 4/19 2-4 or 4/20 10-12…due to the situation of my toilet and tub I chose 4/19…I explained how bad it was getting.I got a call 15 minutes before they were supposed to be there saying they were not coming! Said they would be there 4/20 between 10-12.The situation got worse so I called them around 8pmThey told me that the cost of coming out to my home would be $179.00 instead of $79.00 as it was after hours.Matt the Herrmann employee fixed the problem and did a good job.It cost $599.00 plus the $179.00 for coming after hours. If they would of kept the appointment I’m not sure if it would of been $599.00 and definitely would not of been $179.00.I spoke to Jason at Herrmann questioning the extra $100.00 letting him know that I felt that I should not have to pay the extra $100.00.He told me that he would check on it and call me back…never called.I called back again was told he was away from his desk. As of today 4/29 have yet to hear back from Jason, I am not expecting that call back…

Joey and Ryan did a fantastic job on a shower drain that had been clogged for a few months and two other plumbers couldnt fix it. They were honest, professional, on time and left no mess. I would highly recommend Herrmann Services!

I bought a house that was FHA approved, but later on found out that my entire plumbing was not up to code.... I found this company as a referral from my insurance company. They provided exceptional service. Walked me through everything. Was very kind, and accommodating. I worked mostly with the plumber Paul Neyer, who was phenomenal and would highly recommend. I was gone all day and he would meet me after i got off work. Was very patient, as well as communicative. Would answer any of my questions no matter the time. Would recommend.

Well I tried using the company. Called Friday, 10/9 and set up for someone to be over my house 10am-noon on Monday, 10/12 (today). Of course no one showed up between those hours and like most people I work 8-5 so when 12:30 came I left to go to work. Mind you, I took a half day of vacation to be at my house so I lost out on a half day for...NOTHING. At the very least a phone would have worked just stating they were running behind but I didnt even get that. All I got was a sorry when your company finally called. Michelle asked if I wanted to reschedule of course I said no. Why would I? Never used this company before and for sure wont now. If I could give a zero I would. Very poor on Hermann Services.

Tony was the service man that came to our house. He was very personable and professional. He stayed 6 feet away the entire time and put on all of his safety gear to keep me and my family as safe as possible. I had concerns about what it would cost for him to clear a clogged drain. He was up front and honest about the price and did not try to upsell anything. Aftet he finished the job he cleaned up and had it looking like he had never been there. If we are in need of a plumber in the future I will be calling Hermann Services and requesting Tony.

We had EXCELLENT service today from Technicians Joey & Bryan for our tree root removal work on our sewer line. They were professional, excellent communicators, knowledgeable and truly excellent plumber technicians. They worked tirelessly all day, worked on getting our line cleared of all the tree roots, inspected our line, and made very clear what is needed to maintain our lines. After recently being released from an eight night stay at the hospital for pneumonia, we discovered the gas range in my parents house was not working. While this in itself was an issue, the fact that our dad is now on oxygen was even more reason to be alarmed because they were lighting the burners using a match. The wall where the range was located had no electrical power so my parents were using extension cords to gain access to electricity from surrounding walls. Upon learning of this issue, we did research to find a reputable company located near our parents so this issue could be corrected. One call to Herrmann Services and I knew we had found the right company.Patti Leisure not only listened to our concerns, she empathized with us. This was on Wednesday, March 18. She said she could get someone there on Monday, March 23 because the electrician was off until then. We were pleased to learn they could make it by then. On Thursday, March 19 at 8:32 am, Brian from Herrmann Services called and said they would be able to get someone to our parents house that day. Talk about service!Greg and Joe showed up at our parents house by 10:45 am. After a conversation with our dad, they performed a check of the house and were able to identify the issue. They provided us with an estimate of the repair and stated it would take approximately 1-1/2 hours to fix the problem.The problem ended up being somewhat more involved which ended up taking Greg and Joe longer than originally estimated to fix. They ended up spending 4 hours fixing the electrical work of which several were spent outside working in the rain.Upon completion of the project, they provided us with the invoice. The cost of the repair was exactly the same as the original estimate. We were astonished. Greg and Joe thoroughly explained what they had done and tested everything to make sure the outlets were working properly.We cant thank Herrmann Services, Patti, Greg and Joe enough for the caring and professional way in which they treat their customers. We were able to rest easy knowing our parents were safe and no longer had to worry about them safely using their range and other appliances. WARNING! I wouldn’t use this company’s services if it were free. I had the worst experience a customer could have using them. The problem was I has a clogged/backed up toilet. The billed turned out to be extremely high (over 500 dollars) because it was holiday season and the plumber came out on a Saturday. When the guy got there he was rude and pushy, he said that I needed to hurry up and decide if I was going to use their service. At the time I had already been billed $175.00 for them to come out and give me an estimate of the work needing done. The plumber fixed one problem while creating another. When I asked for them to come back out to fix the problem, I was told the guy denies he did what I had mentioned and that they would only fix the problem if I pay them. This company is a complete ripe off! They need to be on BUY BEWARE! My advice to the public is to use a reputable company. Stay away from these family owned runts!

After buying the near top of the line HVAC unit they recommenced, it has failed twice in less than 3 years. Both times when we called for service theyve acted like they were trying to scam us. The first time they originally wouldt fix the unit until we signed up for a $250 annual maintenance contract. and then only recharged the refrigerant without fixing it or setting up a time to later fix it. The 2nd time they said they wanted to charge us over $2000 for 4 hours of labor to replace a part under warranty. I asked repeatedly why the price was so high for something covered by a warranty, and never got a straight answer, just more about having to buy their annual plan. So I called 2 other places who both laughed at that price quote. Both said theyd charge $600-800 to replace the part under warranty which sounded a lot more reasonable. Both explained what the $600-$800 was for, something the manager at Herrmann never couldnt do for his over $2000 quote.Both times Herrmann was more concerned about berating us for not having their annual plan than for fixing the HVAC unit.I even asked to confirm that they wanted to charge about $500 an hour for labor and was told it was a fixed price for labor but it does equal about $500 and hour.

Absolutely wonderful experience start to finish! My air conditioner went out on Sunday night...I went online and input a service request, telling them to call me at work the next morning after 8 am. I received a call from Brian at 8:01 am...he diagnosed my problem, was super courteous, and told me he could have a tech come out that afternoon. I told him Id need to leave work to meet the tech, so if they could please call me when they were on their way, Id appreciate it. He called me back an hour before the tech was to meet me which was perfect. The tech, Scott, was right on time...very knowledgeable, personable...he made me feel like a valued customer. As soon as Scott got the unit back up and running...he told me about their other services...I paid..and I was on my way back to work. On my way back to work, no less than 10 minutes after Scott left...I got a call from Debbie, asking me how my service call went. It was amazing service. In less than 24 hours, I was up and running at a very reasonable price...and I talked to 3 different people at Herrmann...all of whom were just as friendly as the last. I will recommend Herrmann Services to everyone I know...and will definitely use them when future needs arise. Thank you again to all the wonderful people at Herrmann!

Herrmann saved our rear ends. We had a terrible plumbing company come out to fix our septic system. We had to use this other company because of the conditions of our home warranty contact.This other company installed a new pump, but didnt diagnose the root cause correctly. The new pump was destroyed in less than a year. About eight months later we called up Herrmann. Herrmann came out and fully diagnosed the problem, fixed the root cause and installed another new pump which has been working well.Yes, Herrmann is not cheap. But neither is calling up the less expensive, second-rate business to only have them make critical mistakes, then needing to call a company like Herrmann. Stick with the pros from the beginning.

Their plumber was good at coming out quickly. Less than 90 minutes on a Saturday. Unfortunately, Mr Munros review was spot on. I paid the $59 too to discover running a new ice maker tube and shut off would cost over $400. And simply cutting out a frozen copper valve and replacing it (a job an experienced plumber could do in 20 minutes, 30 tops) would be over $300. They explained they were a premium service and I had to pay for all their trucks, guaranteed work, and overhead. (No different from any other company.) But they were middle of the pack on pricing! A plumber Ive worked with, who no longer does residential work, said oh yeah, Herrmann is through the roof. And the two they quoted to me were unreasonable.And those two were my simplest jobs. I had other work (replacing a frozen shower control and two lav faucets) that no doubt would have been $2,000 more, based on what they quoted. I already had a previous quote of about $700 for ALL the jobs including fixtures and thought THAT was higher than I expected. Little did I know.

The service was great from the call to schedule, to the last call to see how things went and set up a time to do maintenance on my furnace. Tony was great and didn’t mind me spying on his work ( I love to learn about different lines of work and how something in my home functions). I would definitely recommend them again!

Very fast professional, courteous and knowledgeable service. I’ve dealt with other residential electricians who have taken a week or longer to come to my house just to give an estimate. And another week or so to come back and actually perform the job. No kidding, Herrmann Services was at my door within an hour of my initial call. I think they had another job get cancelled and I may have benefited from that. I had a small electrical problem that was handled within an hour tops. I then asked for a quote to re-wire an underground wire leading to an outdoor water fountain. They gave me an estimate on the spot and performed that repair during the same visit even though it was not on the initial service order. I got two jobs done within just a few hours of my call when I was expecting it to take a week or more. Very happy with their service and will use again if and when the need arises.

Repair tech missed $1 defective disconnect switch on furnace telling me I need new ac unit at $4900. Unit was later determined to be operable. Management sided with lying repair tech. Good luck if you get that tech, Brian seems blindly loyal to his people.

Setting up an appointment was easy and the timeliness of someone servicing my issue was perfect. The Serviceman arrived at the time he was scheduled. Was knowledgeable about my issue and explained what needed to be done. Discussed pricing before he started. Cleaned up and left the space as he had found it once repairs were completed. We had some issues with our a/c and Joe came out, and fixed everything, despite having to do some extreme Sherlock Holmes style detective work to diagnose our problem. Communication with the company was fast and easy, and we didnt have to wait for service. Really a great experience.

I just had the best experience with your Technicians Alan and Scott. My water heater was leaking and dripping into the condo below mine. I called late on Thursday and they were there 8:30 the next morning. Both were very respectful and professional. Al advised that there was a little bit of water coming from my heater but it was not my fault that I did not notice...it was in the back corner where I would never have seen it. They advised that my small space in my laundry room would not accommodate the current 40 gallon model...I needed a special 30 gallon tank. They explained all to me and went and ordered and delivered the 30 gallon tank. I was also concerned about my hoses on my washer leaking, so while Al worked on the water heater we ran my washer so he could watch the hoses to check for any leakage. There was none. I appreciate how each went above and beyond to help me with a situation that I really had no experience with and they eased my mind that I was doing the right thing. Thanks so much Alan and Scott!!!

Very friendly and helpful on the phone but... Had the hard to find product I needed to fix my AC but would not come out to my service area even though within greater Cincinnati area. Could not offer a suggestion or help to find my hard to retrieve part. Disappointed they wouldnt come to my place or offer an alternative. May have considered using them if had better customer service to troubleshoot/help find other companies.

First let me say, I called today to make an appointment and there was a service technician here within one hour. That was great but unexpected. The service tech that came, Mark, was very concerned with my electrical problem. After some troubleshooting, the problem was fixed in a timely manor. He also installed a Motion detection light on my shed. He took the time to adjust the lights in the best position. He was very professional, respected my house, and was very concerned with my concerns. I can honestly say I have never been so impressed with a company doing service at my house. We had a clogged septic system. The Herrmann crew arrived on time, and did excellent work. By mutual agreement, they expanded the scope of the project to facilitate future regular servicing.

Strongly suggest avoiding these guys. I was estimated a $600 to $900 cost to rout a basic basement floor drain. They usually dont quote on the phone. $59 to come out and quote? They probably make most of their income giving quotes that no one would ever accept unless ignorant, desperate, or rich! Had this drain serviced by others for $259.

The service was outstanding! I am always pleased when I have to have work done and Herrmann is doing the work. They were knowledgeable in their craft, efficient and very clean in the working conditions. Would never hesitate to use them for any of my household projects!

Scheduled an appointment with these folks for a ceiling fan repair. I rearranged my schedule to be home at the appointment time. Thirty minutes before the appointment they call me to tell me they arent coming as the person is busy elsewhere. They wanted to come some other day, but I declined and cancelled the service, as since they didnt keep their word about showing up for this appointment, why would I trust them to keep another one? If they treat a prospective new customer this way, I question how Id be treated if I had an issue with some work they did for me after they have my money. Needless to say, Ill have my ceiling fan repaired by someone else.

Seth and Andrew were great. Fixed the plumbing issues at my father-in-laws house, were very friendly and courteous.

I am very happy with the service. He was on time, fixed my plumbing problem and then noticed that a filter in my ceiling for my air conditioning was dirty and should be changed. He then commented that a smoke alarm was missing. The Condo company immediately sent a maintenance man to change the filter and fix the smoke alarm. The condo maintenance man told me that if this had not been noticed, I soon would have had an expensive bill for a new air conditioning unit in the ceiling. I am very pleased with Herrmann Services and their additional sharing of observations of problems they noted.

Very expensive, not a fair deal.. Tommy came and charged $155 for just showing how to lit the pilot light & stating it cannot be fixed & needs to be replaced. I called them first time seeing their website that they charge $99 and there was $25 off coupon for any repair which I could use. But he told he lit the pilot light and that is additional work. He also did not accept $25 coupon. Not a fair deal. I will not call them again.

I had already called 2 other companies to come look at 2 furnaces that had gas leaks, and neither of them were willing to work on them due to their age. I called Herrmann yesterday, they came out today and gave me a fair quote, and had the work done in a few hours. They even fixed a few minor leaks that were not in the quote, but did not charge me any more. Herrmann is now my go-to for any HVAC repairs Ill need in the future.

Very unprofessional. We finally cancelled our contract because they can’t be bothered to actually do their job. We contracted for a furnace that they inspected and signed a contract for, the day of the install someone called and said “due to the age of the home” the chimney will have to be replaced prior to the install. How did they not know this when they told us the furnace needed to be replaced?Our front yard had to be dug up for a new drainage line, the “simple one day job, 4x6 foot hole,” turned into a 3 day job with a hole that was 10x20. Not to mention that we have called many times to find out where they put our trees and landscaping. Never receiving a return call, we guess they put it back in the hole. Not to mention they gouged the rest of our front yard, and tore the cable off the front of our house with their bobcat. They don’t care the damage they have done, they completely refuse to return calls.With our service plan, they are supposed to come out and check our furnace and the ac before turning on, fall/spring. I scheduled an appointment, was made to wait 5 weeks for the appointment time. (The ac had been turned on due to the heat during this period). The day before the appointment I was called to change my appointment due to no tech available. This is a monthly fee that we have paid for nearly 10 years but can not do their end of the contract.Very unprofessional to deal with, don’t expect your questions to be answered.

They ran into an issue with a corroded part which made the job take longer than expected. They replaced it at no extra charge! I will call them with all my plumbing and heating/cooling needs.

My furnace is old. It decided to stop working two times on two different weekends. Had to pay the weekend rate. Both time the technician warned me that it is time to consider replacing it. I got a quote from Herrmann Services and 3 other companies they had best price. Installation was great they cleaned up and were on time.

They installed a new tankless water heater for me. I initially inquired by email and Sarah was very responsive and knowledgeable answering all my questions. They came out for a free estimate. Kevin was also very knowledgeable and provided the best install plan at the best price. Kevin les the install as well, which went very smoothly. Chuck was meticulous with the venting to make sure it did not encroach overhead space in our Storage area. They cleaned up very carefully and make sure we were happy with everything before they left. We would absolutely use them again!

This family owned business has always done a great job and I have joined up for their service agreement. They have employees that have worked with them a long time and I feel like I know several of them and they are always friendly and professional.I was out of town and my friend who was watching my pets came over during last summers heat wave and found my A/C was out! I had my friend call them, they came over the same day and it was fixed.Ive had nothing but great experiences with them.

I arrive in Florida Tuesday afternoon for a much needed vacation.Wednesday morning 2:00AM my cell phone rings (dont you hate those calls in the middle of the night). A hysterical tenant crying, I am standing in two feet of water in my basement! There is a terrible storm and the drains just cant handle it. Next morning, I call Herrmann Services, a live person actually answers the phone.They send their technician over to access the water damage to the furnace and hot water heater. Both are ruined and need to be replace. The technician suggested allowing things to dry out for a day. Very fast in response time it only took about1hr. And 10minutes to arrive and identify the problem, and notify Duke energy so they could fix the problem. Excellent customer service and professional as usual. Hermann is who we always use when needed.

I was very pleased with the help I got from Herrmann. I got a call from one of my tenants this morning that his vents werent blowing hot air. So I needed a tune up and diagnostic. Apollo said it would be January before they could get someone out, but Herrmann got a gentleman there within 90 minutes. Somehow the hot water heater pilot light went out during the furnace tune up, but they sent out a water heater guy within a couple hours at no charge to get it squared away. It was a fair price and now my tenants are nice and toasty, all without having to leave the office. Thanks to Debbie the lady who helped me on the phone and Herrmann in general!
