Bought a generator today for home, power was off but the employees were all in good moods and very helpful with everything we needed i would definitely recommend them to anyone

Patty the Cashier and Ron the plumber expert are phenomenal associates.. too add on for Ron, I walked in with a problem and he asked me what was going on, and he guided me step by step on how to fix the problem I was having and it did me good.. For Patty, she was sweet and asked how our day was going and was just calm and collective and made personable eye contact during the whole transaction. Ive been in Customer Service most my life and know something gold when I see it.. I love Mendo Mill, and I continue coming back cause of the customer service.

Maybe I just expect too much....but when I go to buy things on my list and tell the employee to put it on my order among other things...100 ft of 4 drain should have been on the ticket and loaded on the truck. By the time I noticed ( after securing my load hanging out the back) the lights were off and nobody there. Wow...guess the guys will have to return to lay the drains in the ditches dug. Wow! Thanks alot Mendo. Guess you forgot.

Has a good selection, but was a long wait for customer service. We wanted a carpet cut. Once we found a person to come over, he had to get another person to finish. We paid and waited outside for another long time.

Favorite!! They have everything I need to fix and update my home. Currently landscaping the choices feel unlimited. Also, my favorite place to get my lady bugs for my gardens.

The staff perched by the front door are not customer friendly. They seem very unhappy with their jobs and talk to customers like they are intruding on their time. The store is frequently out of published sale items. Have to drive 45 minutes to another location to get those items usually. Yard crew is great tho.

We freaking LOVE this place! They have been instrumental in the building of our new home in this area. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They love our dog (he gets SO MANY Treats when he goes in with us! THANKS!!), and they remember our names. (Cheers anyone?! Haha!) Selection is decent, if these guys dont have it, they can order it.

Best selection of supplies & equipment for the professional & the DIY renovator. Everything you need from interior & exterior decor, furniture, etc., to raw materials. They even rent heavy machinery for excavation. Amazing place. Great service. Well organized . We wouldnt go anywhere else now since we bought a historic home in Lake County its all about renovation, restoration & preservation. So, Mendo Mill is our go to place now. If they dont have it, it doesnt exist.

Think their checkout area needs some rethinking. Definitely hard to keep 6 distancing when everyone has to pass each other to get to checkers. Dont know what the issue was with carts, but if you had a cart you had to pay, then go backwards in the line and out the entrance door. If you didnt have a cart you could exit as normal.

They over charged on almost all items because they know if you want it cheaper you have to go Santa Rosa, or Internet buys. Example, Dewalt batterys 18 volt $150.00 really, 75.00 on the net

Not a great selection but not bad. Prices are ok, but compared to Ace on the corner they are better. Customer service is meh. They kept reminding me how I should hurry up because they close in an hour, but when I had a question or went to check out the many employees were busy with their closing tasks (30 minutes before closing). I would have to say the worst part that knocked them from 3 to 2 stars was customers not allowed to use the bathrooms. I get it, COVID makes for extra tasks to clean the bathrooms, but when you have sooooo many employees walking around and are a company that serves people who traditionally work in the field - a bathroom is kind of a critical point. It just came across as lazy and thus not customer focused. Automatic loss of a star.

The staff is very knowledgeable of their job, and thats a big relief on me bc I am not a handy person when it comes to fixing stuff. I needed a hose, the girl tried to help, she called in a senior employee and he fixed me right up. I was happy to see that when the girl didnt know, she called for help rather than saying I dont know and sending me on my way. ( Store losing money). Very clean and organized.tes Ill recommend for sure.

Almost always have what Im looking for. If they dont they will try to order it. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Most are knowledgeable for there departments. Cant really beat the home town atmosphere

Very poor customer services. Lumber is low quality and with few options. The managers are unresponsive and the employees seem miserable. If you have time I recommend driving to Kelseyville Lumber. Even Home Depo is a better customer experience.

Theyre even willing to help you even if its a few minutes after the store closes. They really make you feel like your needs are important and want you to do it right....very hard to find that in a lumber company.

The location in Lakeport is usually fine. This Clearlake location is attitude. The prices asset the register are often higher than the shelf price. I have been shopping here for 3 years and I am sick of it.

It has the biggest selection of building and home improvement supplies Ive ever seen. If they dont carry it, it doesnt exist. The service is great, the store is well stocked and very organized. I recommend it to anyone for restoration to simple repairs. Heavy equipment can be rented there as well for DIY excavation & preparation for building. I dont go anywhere else anymore for my DIY needs. I bought a historic home that fits 3 categories, RESTORATION, RENOVATION & PRESERVATION.

The employees were eager to help us with getting the right generator and then helped us get it in the car.

Like Mendo but their prices are a little HIGH you live in a very poor community price you products accordingly..YOUR NOT IN SAN FRANCISCO OR NEW YORK YOU ARE IN LAKE COUNTY...

This is my local Ace. It really is the place with the helpful hardware man, and especially in the case of this branch, woman!! The team members on the floor can answer your question and contribute to your project! (Not the the blank stare I often get at the big box hardware store...).Some prices are higher, but not much to speak off, especially considering its right around the corner....Theres no gas, travel time or shipping to pay, and some things are actually priced lower.

I give it a 3 because they close to early and I have always loved going to Ace hardware stores growing up. I commute to work each day; 3 hours round trip. By the time I get home, I cant get to this store in time to buy things that I need. If theyd just stay open another hour, I could. However, Im just one guy. Im sure 😉 theres no chance that others are having the same problem.

Even though the power has been out starting our 2nd day, Mendo has been open both days. The Staff has been outstanding, they take the customer to what ever they are looking for as they dont have lights. Great local support. 🇺🇸👍

Went for the buy one get one free paint and the guy misunderstood that I wanted two paint cans of the same color and mixed two different colors up. But he apologized and fixed it for me free of charge! They have cute garden decor but this store is on the expensive side, $24.99 for a door mat. Wont prob go back unless theres a sell again.
