This was by far the easiest car purchase I have ever made. My salesman Dwayne was awesome. We talked on the phone, we agreed on a price. The car was on order, due in mid August. We got the call on Friday, Our car was in and would be ready at 2 pm. We got there at 2. We had never been to the dealership before. All the paperwork was ready. We did all the signing, our car was all prepped for delivery. Our plate was on it. Dwayne took us thru the features of our new car, he connected both of our phones to the car. Showed us how the navigation and other safety features worked. We drove away in our new car just around 3 pm.These guys are great!!!
Jacob McComas was our salesman. He made this an enjoyable experience. He never pressured us regarding the car that we picked. Originally we were going to buy a different car but we did not like the color of the interior. He went the extra mile to find the color that we wanted. He was extremely courteous and never rushed us. . Albert in financing was such a great help also. I would definitely buy from Fitzgeralds again and use Jacob as my salesman.

Highly recommend the service department!I was reluctant to try them after seeing the reviews and was very pleased. I had recently purchased a pre-owned Hyundai from a dealership that did not end up being very ethical or reputable and decided to take it to Fitzgerald for oil change, tire rotation and multi point inspection. To be honest I was expecting to receive a laundry list of items that the car needed and was so pleased when it was the exact opposite. I was helped right away, service was much quicker than Ive ever experienced elsewhere and to my surprise there were NO recommendations for additional repair or maintenance. Hate to say it but thats pretty rare for service from a dealership. In my past experience at other places, they seem to always find something that you need. Incredibly happy with my experience and look forward to doing business with them in the future.Highly recommend to all and Jack was great to work with!
The purchase was made in my wifes name but I accompanied her to the dealership as we always make a joint decision on all major purchases. The salesperson was very helpful, no pressure, answered all our questions, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Adam Yazback was a pleasure to deal with. We bought a 2020 Hyundai Palisade from Fitzgerald Hyundai yesterday and loved our experience. We made several trips before signing the line and Andy were super helpful and comfortable to talk to. The night before we were talking financing and our options, several managers came out to say their piece but did not push to buy the car then if we were not comfortable. It was a completely different experience then what we were expecting. The general manager came out and spoke to us for over 30 min, but not about the car. Just wanted to get to know us and ask why were not making the decision that night. He respected our answer and did not try to change our mind. We will definetly be back for future car buying from Fitz!
Seems to be a recurring theme as I was reading other reviews about the service department. Attempted to charge me 180 for a tire when any other establishment around sells the same time for significantly less. I purchased the same tire for 60 dollars cheaper by taking 30 seconds to do a Google search. Nice to know you have youre customers best interest in mind, or better yet youre own.
My daughter brought her vehicle in for a tire that kept losing air. After being there the better pet of the day she was told that there was nothing wrong with the tire. Approximately a week later while driving at 50-55 mph, the tire exploded and fortunately she avoided crashing. We then paid to have the vehicle towed back to Fitzgerald Hyundai at which time they replaced the tire and then charged $180.00 plus for the service, on top of the $180, we paid for the tow. Seems as if all that expense and potential harm could have been avoided with a proper diagnosis and repair or replacement when she originally went in. Definitely feel all that superior service they spew in their advertisements should have resulted in something more than $180 plus towing. Not even an apology was offered.
They make it very convenient for the customer providing a Lyft ride if you need to leave your vehicle If you choose to stay they provide a very comfortable waiting area with coffee tea and cocoa as well as work stations. They were very professional and courteous and the overall experience was very convenient and pleasant.
I was pleased with my sales representative on the day of purchase, as he was very attentive, had the cars I was interested in pulled to the front, explained all the features, and helped me set it up before I left the dealership. He even offered his number and said he was available if I had any questions. He told me this was more than a one-day deal and that he was going to follow up with me the next day and a few days later to make sure I was happy. Unfortunately, he oversold himself because he didnt follow up the next day or any time after that until I called to ask a question. I didnt need all the promises, but once they were made, I must say I was very disappointed.I had a bad experience with the finance representative. He tried to pressure me, didn’t provide the numbers I asked for and I felt like he talked down to me which only infuriated me. Luckily, I was able to get my sales representative to intercede and we closed the deal. Though I highly recommend Hyundai, because I absolutely love my new Sonata; be prepared when meeting the team here at Fitzgeralds. Don’t be afraid to communicate your needs.

The blonde in the service dept is a witch. She needs to get another job. Clearly she does not like her job. You try to ask a question she bites your head off. Total chaos also. No organization whatsoever. You have an appt but it doesnt matter. Have to say that Richard is very nice.
Had a last minute emergency with the trunk of my car not opening at all. Full of groceries and perishables. Explained the issue to receptionist who nicely escalated. Manager said they close in an hour and does not have anyone to check what the issue might be. He did not care that I had an early morning flight nor food that will go bad. He simply said” we close in an hour and cant help you, We work by appointment only “did not even offer to set a time for the next day or anything that fits way is purely a financial economical impact that he would have to bite maybe working five more minutes to check something so simple never again it’s one despite being a loyal customer for ideas I’m going over six cars in five years never again

The service department takes all their stress out on customers. I tried to make an appointment for an oil change (all the oil changes were free with the purchase of my vehicle otherwise I would not take it to the dealership for them). No appointments available for 5 weeks. So I called a week ago, as we have a long drive this week for a medical appointment out of town. They said You can walk-in, but it will take longer. Try to get here first thing in the morning. I walked into utter chaos at 8 AM on a Monday morning. As I parked outside the attendent asked if I had an appointment. I said no, and he actually snorted. Talk to the service desk inside, he shrugged.The service department was empty of customers. And yet no one greeted me. They were all on the phone, or engaged with paperwork. Finally a woman from behind me in the office asked if I had an appointment. I said no, and she said, We dont take walk ins. You need an appointment and we dont have any appointments until mid June.I told her I was told to come in for an oil change. She told me You can go anywhere for an oil change.I tried to explain we have free oil changes, and she started to get angry. I dont know what to tell you. (someone should teach her the word sorry)
Have tried very hard to like this place. Cannot win with them though. Replaced spark plugs 4 months ago. Already saying theyre bad and need to be replaced again. Replaced the window motors 4 times now. Still going bad every few months. No explanation for any of it. Not sure if theyre just using bad or used parts of what it is. Auto parts breaking that quickly just doesnt add up though. Any job takes way longer than it would at any other garage.Front staff if usually nice though.
Honest service department. Didnt try to sell me unnecessary or expensive services. Even made recommendation to save me money. However did not check to make sure the factory recall work they performed was completed properly.

I bought a used 2011 Hyundai Sonata with only 35k miles for 10k. I figured since I bought a used Hyundai from a Hyundai dealership, the dealership would ensure the car was in tip top shape. Exactly one month later and I am writing this review from the side of I-75 because the car’s engine started knocking and eventually stopped altogether.From all of the great things I’ve heard about Hyundai’s and dealership, I am saddened by this experience and highly recommend against purchasing your vehicle from this dealership.

10/27/21 update: I was in a car accident and Herman Ford did a less than quality job. So I paid Fitzgerald Hyundai $200+ to completely check out my car. I mentioned my rear defroster doesnt work and they swore my car was in excellent condition and nothing wrong with the defroster. First foggy morning it didnt work and I hear new noises all the time and my 2017 Hyundai sport sonata bottoms out regardless of how slow I go over a speed bump. First time in five years I feel like they totally ripped me off and did absolutely nothing in actually checking my vehicle but charged me anyways. I tried to make a complaint but for some odd reason the submit button is non functional. Hopefully my review works better than the submit button.
I’ve purchased several vehicles throughout the years and after several months of research/shopping around, I chose to do my first lease here at Fitzgerald Hyundai. I leased a 2021 Hyundai Sonata SEL Plus w/tech package. It was by far the easiest, best experience I’ve had at a dealership. They are fair, honest, and transparent with their pricing unlike a few others I encountered when shopping around. There is no teaser price with thousands of dollars in dealer add-ons or other hidden profit padding added later. I worked with Leandra who was great. She was knowledgeable, personable, honest, efficient, and best of all, not high pressure. She helped me navigate my first lease much easier and quicker than I expected. As always, do your homework with any major purchase. However, if you’re in the market for a Hyundai, consider giving this dealership a try. It was well worth it for me and my family and we love our new vehicle.

We own a 2020 Elantra with 14K miles. Came for appointment, 145 pm oil change and tire pressure check. Was told by service advisor a headlight recall was necessary. I asked if we could do it later. Was told if lights failed after we left the cost to repair wouldnt be covered. So much for the 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. Its now going on a 3 hour wait. We paid $695 when we purchased the car for a complimentary loaner if service took inordinate time. I asked for a loaner and was told none were available. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed at Fitzgerald Hyundai Service 😟

Very disappointed in this dealership’s Service Department. We originally purchased our new vehicle here & all but one service has been preformed here but after today we will not be using them again! Upon our arrival the guys out front were nice & the lady behind the counter where you pay was nice BUT the service advisor (Caylie) hates her job!! She was disrespectful & not professional! As others have stated in their reviews the waiting area for service was empty, very obvious there is a problem at this service department! What a shame! This dealership & their service department used to be tops! No longer the case!
We have now leased our second car with Fitzgerald, and their sales person David Warner. David is, hands down, the best and most trustworthy car sales person we have ever dealt with. The sales staff is salaried and you do not feel high pressure from a sales person trying to close a deal because they are on commission. Also, with COVID, we told David we wanted to get as much done up front before coming in so we could be in and out of the dealership ASAP, and not have to deal with the mask situation. From the time we drove on the lot to when we left with our new car was an hour and 10 minutes. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate David (and Fitzgerald) an 11. 😁

An absolutely seamless experience!My Hyundai Kona was damaged in a highway mishap. I was unable to schedule an appointment within the time I was going to be in town. I called the service folks - It was explained - politely - that there were no available appointments for service. I asked if there was anyone I could speak to. I was passed on to a service representative - she again explained that there were no appointments available. I was then connected to the Service Manager - David. I left a message with him. David called back a very few minutes later (almost instantly). He listened to my dilemma then asked me if I could bring my Kona in the next day. He actually asked me what time was convenient!! Needless to say my Kona was taken care of and I was back on the road 18 hours after my mishap. Kona is as good as new and Im delighted.Seriously superior service . On point with customer care and exceptional in all ways.Thats why Fitzgerald is the only dealership for me.

This morning the back left tire on my brand new 2021 Elantra popped. I originally got the car from the Hyundai in New Port Richey, but I live closer to the Countryside location. I called the service department at Countryside, explained what happened and asked if they had time today. They told me I needed to have an appointment. I explained I can’t make an appointment for something I didn’t know would happen.I then called New Port Richey Hyundai and they told me to bring the car in as soon as I can as a walk-in because being on a donut was a road hazard and they would replace my tire right away. WAY better customer service from New Port Richey! They even reserved a new tire for me.

I have been shopping for a new Hyundai palisade literally all over the place. Thought I had settled on one froM GA the sales person from this dealer called me, told me the price of the vehicle, explained that they don’t do dealer installed options, so I agreed to take this vehicle when it comes in and place a deposit down on the vehicle. Not 30 seconds after I called the other dealer to say I had found one somewhere else, the sales person calls me to tell me they won’t sell me the vehicle bc my business is in GA!! What dealership on earth cares what state your in if you’re coming to buy a car?!?!? This is a horrible way to do business and really screwed us on our purchase! Especially when we buy vehicles so often for our business! Our store manager is from Florida and recommended this dealer to us! But this is true discrimination! “I won’t sell the vehicle to you bc you don’t live in Florida” what a joke. Horrible place to do business with not to mention the sales person says “we’ve had so many out of state deals lately we want to save some cars for local people” so they do out of state deals but I guess they get to pick snd choose who they allow and who they don’t.

As always, Fitzgerald Huyandai took great care of me, my problem and my ignorance of the power of the wireless key process. Garrett was my service supervisor and helped me get through the process and gave me some education on what happened. I confess the sales rep back in 2017 showed me and told me about the key process, but I had forgotten all of it. I will blame it on being 77. Garrett was terrific and of course the folks in the garage took great care of me and my car. Thank you very much.

Awesome dealership. Just bought a used Tuscon here a month ago, my first car shopping experience for myself. Andrew in sales was a pleasure to work with and was super helpful and genuine. Andrew really goes the extra mile for his customers. As for the place itself this dealership is very straightforward with the lowest dealer fees I ran into in Tampa. What you see online is very close to what you actually pay out the door. Several other dealers had made up fees and discounts to muddy the waters, but not here. Customer service has been fantastic after purchase too. Would recommend purchasing your next Hyundai here.
My girlfriend bought a brand new car from Fitzgerald Countryside Hyundai in 2017 (paid ~26K) and because she is very loyal, recently took it back to their service department to have a known trunk latch issue fixed. Anthony Lackey (Service Advisor) told her that she is a single mom because she continues to make poor decisions. The latch was eventually fixed but she was made fun of in the process. I have spoken with Anthonys manager and have left a message for the GM (Eric Coffee) and have yet to hear back. There is no place for people like this in our society and needs to be fired immediately.
This is my second lease with Fitzgerald Hyundai. Marie Tsillis, who assisted me this time, was friendly, knowledgeable, very thorough and accommodating. I always receive great service from Fitzgerald Hyundai and am thrilled with the vehicle I am now driving. I highly recommended this dealership. *TRANSPARENCY IS A LIE* Jake was very friendly and super informative, just like all salesman. But once the negotiating phase comes, this dealership takes the cake on lies and deceit. After visiting several other dealerships, they came in the lowest on trade in value. Their “Fitz Low Price” is a sellers gimmick, they will lower that price only a little under everyone else but give you the lowest value if you’re going to trade in your vehicle. They tried to say the reason for my low offer was because “the market is flooded with your car”, well actually Hyundai’s are the most sold vehicles on Used pages. Also saying the car had an active recall, acting like Hyundai doesn’t? Followed by Hyundai cars compare to Toyota in depreciation, which is the biggest lie. The sales manager, who we didn’t get a name, maybe Matt?, literally asked why did we come to their dealership if we saw a better car somewhere else. He also had these preloaded aggressive responses for everything and refused to show us anything on paper. Extremely rude and absolutely the epitome of unprofessionalism. Don’t waste your time buying new cars because they’ll just milk every penny out of you, extend your term and make you think you’ve got a “good deal”.

Recently, I have been searching for a new Hyundai Tucson. I wanted to trade in my previous Hyundai to upgrade to the 2020 Tucson. After going to a couple dealerships & calling around I was not getting the treatment I deserved. I had a lot of unprofessional people trying to provide me with an experience they felt was a “good deal” when in reality it wasn’t. It wasn’t until I came here to Fitzgerald Hyundai of Clearwater and met the car salesman (Martin Barrett). He was extremely professional, kind, and genially cared about putting me into the best deal for the actual car I wanted. He wasn’t pushy nor misleading throughout the entire experience. He genuinely knew and respected my concerns and went above and beyond to make sure I left happy. You can get a lot of salesman these days at car dealerships who only want to make money off of your purchase and don’t necessarily care about your concerns. Martin was the total opposite and I honestly recommend stopping in and asking for him if you’re interested in purchasing a Hyundai. Oil change 4hours then a $2500 quote, on stuff that dose not need to be done on a 2013. Especially when it was just for a scheduled oil change that takes 10 minutes to do. What a racket!!.
Since I wrote this review below David B. came out to my house 10-9 and repaired my visor! He was super nice and very professional. I am a happy customer now. Thank you, David!Broke my visor! 10/7 I took my Hyundai Elantra to Fitzgerald Hyundai for repair of a minor recall issue. When I returned to pick up my car the driver-side sun visor was hanging down and cracked. Several people came and looked and discussed the matter with me. The final comment was that it has been that way for a long time -- definitely not since I drive the car daily and can certainly see my visor! The supervisor finally told me that repairing it would cost over $200 but what compromise could we reach. I do not want their money! I want my car to be in the same condition as when I left it there.

Bought a Santa Fe back in 2018 and everything had been good and smooth from the sale to maintenance until today. (Dealer didn’t provide a wheel lock key when I bought it and had to get one from a friend that worked only once).I arrive without an appointment and I’m aware of that but didn’t feel any helping spirit from the associates.They gave me the options but could not provide any time frame/solution, even on sometime during the week, to assist me with something as simple as dismounting my tires and mounting them without the wheel locks.I just felt that they saw me as a problem, empathy and a real urge to help and satisfy the customer was just not there. The guy on the Parts area was extremely more willing to talk and help than the Service/Customer ones ( they maybe could change places). I’m even a FitzWay member but it seems that doesn’t matter.5/10 Answer - Thanks for your response.On which vía have you tried to reach me? Don’t have any calls or emails from you guys..Clarification - Your people gave me the options but didn’t offer any type of possible moment to help me with it.. not that day, or the next, or the next just told me to make an appointment and that next one available was within a month...and if I decided to wait for it they could not tell me an approximate of how much time to wait so I could plan. “Ohh could be an hour or 4-5”.Drove that day to Clearwater just for that, FitzWay member. Recently moved to Wesley Chapel.Next day I went to Wesley Chapel Hyundai without an appointment too and everything was just the opposite. Was out of there in 2 hours and a half and happy as you can be. Thanks for your response.

As we walked in a blond haired lady approached us asked asked if we needed help. I said a sales, shes stated she is it. I explained what we were looking for, to cut the story short as she acted nice she just did not want to help us. We left faster then we came in, very bad experience, i will never stop by there for anything again. Worst customer service i have encountered at any dealer.
One of the best car buying experiences Ive had. My salesman Ted was a huge help throughout my experience and he far outweighed my expectations. I live 4 hours away from here so I needed all my information on the car I wanted before I made a big trip over here. They were professional courteous and never tried to sell me something I didnt need. Well worth the trip. 10/10

This rating could change because they havent been able to check out my car yet. With that said, they took fantastic care of me when my car broke down on a Saturday afternoon! They set the car to be checked out on Monday and made sure I could get home (100 miles away!)
After having a horrible experience at New Port Richey Hyundai we came here. David Warner was great! Very informative and not pushy at all. Never use the Service Department of either Fitz Hyundai or Subaru.Over 2 hours for an oil change and wheel rotation (with appointment)$105 for 2 simple services which would cost $45 anywhere else.All security systems shutdown which was the original reason for bringing the car in.REASON: Gas Cap was not properly screwed on. This apparently shuts down all security systems, and that is not noted in any documentation, user manuals or elsewhere. Service Attendant was condescending when being falsely gracious by not charging for diagnosing the problem.Newly leased vehicle and 2nd vehicle bought from Fitzgerald ... probably last one as well.
