I could not be happier! Not only superior service, but the quality of their work is beyond what I expected. They reset my 14 year old engagement ring due to a crack in the center setting (prong). I requested that they turn my Princess cut diamond, that I originally had it turned, since they had to replace the setting anyway. I couldnt believe my eyes when it was completed. It was like having a brand new ring. It is so stunning! They also did a wonderful job filling the area that was cut in my wedding band to accommodate the turned center diamond. Pittman took my engagement ring that was purchased at a large chain jewelers, then totally messed up by their repair people and did an amazing job with it. The other jewelers lost the basket diamonds when resizing the ring. Then when repairing that they literally twisted the center stone. When fixing that they left plier marks all over the ring...when I finally got my ring back after several repairs, the center stone became loose after only a month. Repaired again...got back, then covid hit. Center stone loose again. We chose to look elsewhere to have it repaired again. Wish we had taken it there to begin with. They reinforced the center princess cut stone, eliminated all scratches from pliers that were still there. Made my ring like new! We will only go here from now on for all jewelry needs!

I have been busy since Christmas but now I have my chance. Wouldve love to give it a 5 star review since Mike made a great experience.. But I received the WRONG NECKLACE from headquarters!! Someone at the store ordered the pictures of what headquarters had. At least I received the right earrings which is why Im giving 3 stars + Mikes representative skills. I asked if they can wrap it when shipment arrived Tuesday, so couldnt see it until she unwrapped it on Christmas day. Keeping the necklace but highly disappointed

I called Mike last week to see if they replaced watch batteries and he said to bring it in and he would knock it out while I waited, and when I showed up with three....he still took care of me while I waited!!!! Very nice jewelry store. Elegant, but not standoffish. The personnel is very amiable and honest. Very wide variety of merchandise to choose from (watches, rings, necklacess, etc.) for men and women of all ages and budgets. They also do watch repair. The parking is quite large, but the entrance is not wheelchair or walker friendly. However, if you ask for help, they will gladly oblige. Definitely recommend it.

I was very upset after leaving both times. I went in with my parents to value some family jewelry. If you’ve ever seen Pretty Woman, picture that. I was wearing athletic shorts and a college t-shirt and was treated very poorly by their staff. Another gentlemen in business attire came in and the staff left us mid-service to swarm him. Although I am very interested in purchasing some jewelry, and have the finances to do so, I will not be doing business with them and will not recommend them to anyone.

I have been buying my Pandora here for over a year now and when I come I ask for Teresa she is so awesome she really takes her time to help me and always spends time never in a rush to help me she has made this the only place I shop for my Pandora for myself and family she has the attitude that makes you feel like your family .. Pittman Jewlers was my fiancé and I’s third stop out of four stores looking for engagement rings. I fell in love with a ring they had at their shop. That same day they had to order another ring that I had seen on their website to take a look at it. It took a couple of days for that ring to come in, during those couple of days we stopped at another jewelery store. It was a big name store, they tried hard to try and create a ring that looked like the one I fell in love with at Pittman. No matter what they had, nothing compared to the ring at Pittmans nor the service. Before making my final decision at Pittman I made multiple stops there to look at the ring. Each and every time I was greeted with a warm welcoming smile, Mike and his wife helped us out since visit one. They were extremely professional and made me feel like my happiness was important to them.

I had my 14k white gold engagement ring tightened here. I wish we had read their reviews before trusting them with my ring! It was returned to us dented! when we dropped it off it was perfect, now it clearly has imperfections. I am not a jeweler so I dont know if that is where the ring was welded but its quite noticeable. Not only that,the woman working there was not the most pleasant. So much that we didnt even go back after noticing what they had done to my ring. There was no way we would leave it with them ever again! Im so disappointed.

This is REAL 4/12/18....Ive got to say it was a great experience at Pittman Jewelers and its not the first time. In fact, I have been there less than 5 times but each and every time I simply and consistently get the same friendly, experienced and honest service. Im certain the staff doesnt recognize me and thats the thing that proves to me they are really genuine people. The reason Im writing this review is because they did what only family run businesses can do.....they go beyond whats legitimately required and they certainly dont have to do that. I was totally wrong and to blame for the problem I had but the staff used witty common sense and did the right thing at the right time! I wont detail this issue but it was clearly my responsibility, I knew it and they knew it and they still helped me to get my items and on my way. I wanna really thank the entire staff for their efforts!! THANK YOU ALLJQ

Very deceptive quote; poor quality resize.They originally quoted us $15 for the resize, so you can imagine our shock when we got the bill and it was over $50.Even worse, the weld marks are very noticeable to me. The result was definitely not worth what they charged.Very unsatisfied.

Unfair pricing for jewelery repair and sizing! I went into Pittman Jewelers looking to get a family ring resized to fit me and I came out without any resizing done! This would be because the jeweler quoted me about $360! The jeweler came out to the counter with my ring and told me that almost all the diamonds in the ring were loose and that he would have to repair most of the clasps for the diamonds. He also stated to me that the shape of the ring was very bad and the whole ring would have to be rebuilt at some point in time. I was not going to pay almost $400 for the repairs, so I left. I recently took it to another jeweler, who did an AMAZING job and didnt take advantage of me and charged me an HONEST price for my resizing and tightening of the diamonds! I would be wary of Pittman!

They resized my ring rather quickly and offered a nice solution for a necklace that was on the verge of breaking.

I walked out without even inquiring about price. Very poor customer service. I will not come back & its a shame because they are one of the only jewlers in Clermont.

I went in to ask about sizing my engagement ring. There wasnt anyone in the entire store and I wasnt even greeted. The lady behind the counter made eye contact with me and when I smiled she looked away and tried to act like she was busy. When I finally got her to speak to me, I waited another 10 minutes to speak with an older gentleman, which I assumed to be the owner. He quoted me a ridiculous amount of money for the resize and I ended up going elsewhere, saving myself over $65. I wouldnt bother going here again.

Went in and the place was fully staffed but the service was not that great. The fact that there were at least 3 ladies behind the counter and only myself and one other customer no one was enthusiastic about helping me. I eyed in item through the glass for several minutes, looked around, (looking like I need help) no one seem interested in making a sale. when a 4th lady came from around the back, I waved her down, she started walking towards, then redirected and later when I flagged a 5th lady down, she said Oh I thought you were being helped already.... why would I beckon you over if i didn’t need your help? Nonetheless, I found something I like, I was willing to get it despite the crappy service. I wanted to customize it by switching out the center stone. The jeweler claimed he would look into it. He told me to call him to follow up in two days. I call 2 days later, he barely remembers me, after trying to prompt him to our original conversation, he wraps it up by saying he couldn’t find it. More like he did not even look. Its ok, I ended up in Zales in Florida mall and they took great care of me there and I love my new ring!

What a rip off. I had always liked Pitman until they tried to pull a fast one. I asked about trading in a ring I had to buy a new one. First...I had to pick out the ring...I picked one about $800. I was then told with my trade it would be about $400 + my trade. I also liked another that was marked $499, so I figured the new ring would be about $99. NOOOOOOO they took the lower priced ring in the back and said that the ring was mismarked. It was actually $850 (because price of gold had gone up) so it would be $425 + my trade to buy the ring. Talk about bait and switch.. I will never go there again. They have lost mine and my familys business.

I had a fairly expensive repair ($321.00) done on a rarely used watch in 2011. I was told that there was corrosion inside because of moisture intrusion and was given a quote for the work to clean the corrosion and take care of the moisture issue. After I picked it up, the watch was kept in a safe until May 5, 2013, at which time my husband took it out to wear on a trip to Asia. A couple of days later, he mentioned that the watch face had clouded so badly that he couldnt even read the time. It was obvious that the moisture intrusion had not been repaired, so I called and took the watch in today, after he got back in town on 5/21. When I called, I spoke with Teresa (one of the daughters) and she said they would have records on the repair if I could give her a date, so I found the charge on our credit card and gave her the date, which was 2/19/11.When I took the watch in, I was told that the repair was only warranted for a year. I responded that I understood that it had been quite some time ago and I wasnt trying to get anything for free, but the watch had not been used and I was just concerned that the original problem had not been fixed. (I thought they would be interested in this little fact too.) Her father came over at that point and asserted that you cant really fix the moisture intrusion on a watch that old (purchased in 1990). I pointed out that if I had been told that they couldnt fix the root problem, I wouldnt have paid to have it fixed. At no time was I told that they couldnt repair the problem, only clean the corrosion. There was even discussion about the repair at the time I initially took it in because it was a rarely used watch and I questioned whether I should go to the expense. (I did it because the watch was a sentimental favorite of my husbands.) I told them that I felt like I should have be told that they couldnt actually fix the watch. The father told me that I should have asked more questions because they couldnt be expected to cover everything when they talk with you. I asked about the notes on the repair that they had mentioned; however, Teresa said that the records were too old and had been put away. I said, but you have them, right? And her father said that they werent going to waste their time looking for them. At that point, he said they would have their watchmaker look at the watch and let me know if the moisture intrusion problem could be corrected and, if so, how much it would cost.They started the in-take process, but with even more commentary on how it wasnt their fault, etc., etc., using the analogy that I couldnt have a car repaired and not use it, then go back to the mechanic in two years if it still had the same problem. I dont agree that its the same thing at all and because of the attitudes, just decided to take the watch to a real jeweler in Atlanta, when I go back in a few weeks. After all, what was I thinking? If they couldnt repair it the first time, why would I pay them more money for them not to repair it again?I must say that I was amazed at their attitudes, in view of their positioning as a hometown jeweler in a small town. In the interest of fairness, it should be noted that I have never purchased anything at Pittmans, so Im not exactly the type of customer they want. Other than the watch, I have only used them for several minor repairs over the years - like replacing clasps or that sort of thing. For simple, no-brainer repairs, I think theyre fine; however, I would now caution against any real repairs and if I did use them, I would be very sure that the repair was done correctly. You cant just assume. For purchases, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Their offerings are limited, unimaginative, and inexpensive looking - not anything you would want to wear.

My first last and only visit to this location was a horrible experience. I went in to have my Micheal Kor watch resized. Upon walking in I was not greeted by any of the staff it was like i was being completely ignored. When i asked how much it would cost to have it resized the lady at the counter was extremely rude and sarcastic she said Its going to cost 12$ plus tax if you bought this here it wouldve been free she seemed almost upset that i didnt purchase the watch from their store. Theyre extremely over priced and rude Im amazed that this place is still in business. DO NOT go here unless you plan on feeling like trash when you leave. I went to village goldsmith about 2 miles down HWY 50 towards Groveland and the jeweler was so nice he treated my watch with care and all he charged was 5$ or a donation toy for toys for tots he also gave me a carnation, this is how you should be treated NOT like at Pittmans.
