I think I found my favorite beer and burger here. The prosperity beer is absolutely awesome. One of the best beers I have ever had. It was so good, my partner and I took a six pack of it home. The burger was really tasty.I had a flight of beers as well. I really enjoyed the shady and the frosty. The scotch eggs were amazing. The best I have ever had in the US.My partner had the pork shoulder. He said it was very tasty but a little tough.
My visit to Market Garden on Fathers Day was a gift from my son. He called and opened a tab for me Sunday afternoon!! He works in a micro brewery in Louisville, Atrium. He likes good beer! He and I have been to the Garden a couple/few years ago and knew I would enjoy my visit on “Pops Day”! I sat at the bar and had nice conversations with two different bartenders! I tried a few different beers and had one of their great pizzas, pepperoni and mushroom!! That Cleveland deep dish style pizza is new to me but was excellent!!! The service was great too! I’ll be back! Thanks for the great Fathers Day everyone!!!
We came to brunch on sunday at noon and had no problem getting a table, with no wait. We ordered the mimosa flight, it was tasted great and at a great price. We had both kinds of wings Chipotle Maple Chicken Wings and Buffalo Ranch Wings(no blue cheese). Chipotle maple was a sweet sticky sauce with a kick. Buffalo was buffalo. Both were good. Season fries with cheese and bacon, good. DO NOT BUY THIS CINNAMON ROLL! It was dry and taste worst then the kind from a vending machine. Service was good except a female server we had when we arrived but was switch out by Gods graces! We then had an awesome server named Chewy. He had a great presence. The hostess was also great!
Sadly such a bad experience had to give 1 star. Sat at the bar with friends. People running past us for a while. Bartender sides QR code to us without saying a word and keeps walking. The o ly person who would talk to us was the Manager, I am to assume. We sat drank our drinks and still no one ever talked to us. Ask for check from bartender, and ask for the manager. shes busy is there something wrong? Yeah I wanted to tell her thanks for talking to us cause we felt ignored then all fury broke loose. I got lectured about the bartenders feelings and how that comment made her feel. I said I dont wanna talk about it please give me the check. She dropped the machine in front of me and turned away. Then snapped back around to tell me more how she was busy and I had to let her talk because she is a human. I said well if you said that from the start none of this would have happened I was just telling you how I felt. Then she went into it again about her feelings. What was meant as a comment about the entire restaurant staff got taken personally and the I was on the defense. There are plenty of other places close by that will listen to their customers and not lecture them, go there instead.
Amazing pizza for brunch. One of the best Bloody Marys Ive had. Nice server.
Great food and Beer selection. Servers are great and really friendly. Will definitely be back soon
Nice atmosphere on the patio. Super sweet waitress. Excellent service and good food! Especially the burger!!
This place has a great friendly atmosphere and decent food, but all the beers seem to taste watered down. Definitely not a top choice if good beer is what you’re looking for.
Good atmosphere, food, and, drink. Really liked the stout with tequila. Our party tried pig ears. They were very different. No one particularly liked them but Im glad we gave them a go. They seemed prepared skillfully but they are very crunchy. We really liked the chicken wings; they only come with one sauce and its sweet, tastes like french toast!
My trip to Market Garden Brewery this weekend was the best one yet! The Smash burger was to die for and the shandy was perfect. Our server, Sammy, was excellent! He was quick, kind, and guided us through the menu and showed us his favorites!
Fantastic place to grab a beer, cocktail, and a bite to eat. Were visiting Cleveland from Memphis and my cousin, a local, directed us here. It did not disappoint! My 11 year olds loved it too. Great place!
Love this place except the marketing team kept sending us publicity emails and not bccing other companies. Kinda sketch
My girlfriend and I stood at the front counter to be seated while three employees totally ignored us for about 20 minutes until we were left with no other option but to walk out for the sake of our own time. Place was dead and nobody else was waiting, so Im confused what the problem was. This was our first time at Market Garden but we frequent other spots owned by the same owner and have not had an issue there. Felt incredibly awkward as other guests seemed to be as confused about the absence of service as we were. Disappointing.
Great atmosphere and a great beer selection. We started off at the bar inside and ordered a Pilsner and an IPA, which were both really good. For our second round we ordered the same but enjoyed them outside on their insanely huge patio. It was a perfect day outside so it was packed with people which made for a really fun time.
This place has an excellent selection of beers on tap! Specializing in more traditional beers they still have a wide variety of stouts, ipas, lagers, ciders and many more.Shout out to the bartender Heather for her excellent service and charming personality.
I might be a bit partial to Market Garden Brewery for helping me launch my beer career nearly six years ago, but darn it! They make tasty beer and tasty food. Market Garden was probably my first experience at a more upscale brewpub, and things havent changed. They are still serving the people of Cleveland, Ohio, delicious beers, and tasty food. The menu is eclectic bar food, which is sure to satisfy a diverse range of palates, young and old. The beer is still the shining star of this establishment, though, turning the waters of Lake Erie into satisfying brews. If there were ever an example of turning water into proverbial wine, look no further than Market Garden Brewery.
Nice place and nice staff. The pizza was very greasy, I would avoid it and order a burger instead. Avoid the Bloody Mary too.
Got a plain waffle ($7) and a flight of mimosas ($10). I felt it was a little pricey for the waffle, but it was probably the best waffle Ive ever had, so Im not mad.I went at about 2 pm on a Sunday and was able to sit outside during brunch. Really cute area with music playing from speakers, and heaters above the center tables.... which were welcome as it was about 50 degrees.Server was friendly and attentive, but not overly so. Didnt interrupt me while I was eating, but was quick to notice when i was finished. Im not needy, and this wad prefect for me.Overall, cute place for girls day drinking. Would come back.
Didnt have any of the food or drinks, but the food looked really good and their beer garden was very nice and inviting.
Stopped in for a few drinks before dinner. The bartenders were great and the beer was delicious.
The grilled chicken sandwich was amazing. Very moist and tender chicken and very flavorful
Great beer, great service! I highly recommend this place as a quick stop or a place to grab a bite!
Went here after a work function that was downtown. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside along the sidewalk. That was a mistake! Every pan handler was out in full force and we couldnt get to enjoy our food because everyone kept begging for money. The food was good, portion size was good and the service was good. Next time well eat in their courtyard.
Visited this past weekend for burger week- exceptional service from our friendly server Sammy & delicious food!! We are always trying different menu items & they never disappoint 😁
Friendly and helpful staff, a great selection of beers on tap, and a beautiful back garden seating area!Few vegan/vegetarian dining options, but a great place to grab some drinks with friends
LOVE this place. We happened upon it by chance but had a great small tour - very fun and informative - and an incredible tasting. Seriously every beer is so different and so good. We bought what we could to take home and are trying to ration it out! Prosperity is the best hefeweizen Ive ever had (I dont really even like hefs...).
When visiting Cleveland, Ohio, one thing you don’t have to search too long to find is beer. Cleveland is home to a large number of breweries and when I visited in support of my blog Great Beer Now, I made it a point to visit several of them. One that I tried and liked very much is Market Garden Brewery. This brewery originally started as a brewpub before expanding into a full- sized production brewery in 2016. They offer tours of the brewery but even if you’re not here when a tour is offered, you will like what you experience. They serve some tasty brew and I like the flight samplers because the servings are a little larger from those of other breweries. I also recommend the food. I limited myself to appetizers when I was here because I had already eaten lunch, but I was very tempted to order the tacos or one of the sandwiches. The atmosphere of Market Garden Brewery reminds me of an old- fashioned tavern. The hardwood floors and high top tables are what you expect in a beer bar and it adds to the establishment’s cozy and inviting vibe. They have a patio, too, which is very popular during warmer times of the year. It was a little too cool for me to attempt the patio when I was here, but I talked to others and this is where they recommend going.Market Garden Brewery doesn’t have any gimmick or standout feature. It is just one of those places that is solid all- around and a place you should try to visit if in the area. It makes for a perfect break from a visit to West Side Market next door and its selection of food, beer, etc is agreeable and high quality- the type of place that is almost guaranteed to be acceptable to all.
Came on a whim while in the area bar-hopping. Was not expecting such great beer and great food! Would definitely return!
We were served water and never got waited on after that. Finally left after waiting about 20 minutes. The restaurant was not crowed. Ended up going to Bar Cento, which turned out to be a great experience.
Very nice place and friendly staff. The BLT sandwich is excellent!!
In the heart of Cleveland, Market garden Brewery has a really good location. Good beer selection. They are exploring a lot with different styles of beers. We had the frosty, which is a good refreshing beer. Hints of spicy Belgian yeast, lime tartness. And also the Citramax IPA. American citra Hops forward.
Very pleasant and upbeat spot if you’re looking for a beer and bite
Great beer selection, very friendly staff, and the food was amazing- especially the Korean BBQ pizza!
Friendly staff, good food and beer! Still not really sure what a Cleveland style pizza is but it was delicious!
Ended up with a gnat in my drink and the bartender replaced it for us without hesitation. Quick and nice service.
Outstanding restaurant, unique menu and excellent drink choices
Awesome way to dine! Friendly safe great service reduced but thoughtful menu. Fried pickles are the bomb!! And almost a meal in itself 💕💕
My mother and I stopped in after doing a bit of shopping at the west side market. It was not busy at all and we were seated almost immediately. The atmosphere is very unique and welcoming. Outside and inside seating is available. Food was good but there was a bit of a wait which was a bit odd. Overall the experience was good and I would certainly return for another visit.
Definitely have good beer. I had the Hellamango, and although I was concerned it might be too fruity/sweet, it was spot-on. My husband had the Citramax which is a delicious IPA. Scotch eggs were delicious along with the chipotle maple chicken wings. Both were a win.
I think the priority here is the beer. Food is secondary. My meal was mediocre, fries overseasoned.
Awesome food, beer and service!! Spent a delightful sunny spring day in the beer garden with our pooch and couldn’t have asked for anything better — always a blast!
Beers: very good. Food: meh. Atmosphere: not too bad but a bit commercialHi Sam,you deserve a fourth star only for your reply! Thank you. I would indeed appreciate a beer! :-)Let me clarify my review. Your brewpub is definitely fine, the beers are good, your menu is well constructed (you have choices for all) and I have never had a bad experience. I am not a big fan of the space: it is very big, busy, loud; I appreciated restaurants (and breweries) that are more on the cozy side. I think Market Garden would be one of my favorite spots in Ohio City if I still were 23 (unfortunately thats not the case). On the food, its pub food: not bad for what it is but if I compare it to restaurants I gave 5 star reviews to, there is no match
Just okay experience here. Loved the atmosphere, we were able to make a large group reservation for dinner time which was great. The pretzel app we had was delicious (and we saved the beer cheese for our fries later). I was disappointed in my fried chicken sandwich. With the slaw, and dressing on the sandwich, it was good but the breading on the chicken tasted dry and bland by its own.
Went for a birthday brunch and had some unexpected friends join so we had more than we planned. The staff were super accommodating despite me being a complete pain (especially during a pandemic) and the food was amazing. Couldn’t have been any better!
Food and atmosphere was great, as well as the service.
We went late at night after a USA soccer game downtown and had a battle looking for parking. The beers were good and at times great. I had the Terminator which is 12% AVB. It was very good along with others like the Frosty and Ripple Effect. To eat I ordered the Cajun wings. They were not spicy and very good. My cousin ordered the garlic parmesan ones and we agreed they werent that good. A dry garlic parmesan rub is just not good anywhere in my opinion.Otherwise my bar service was good since there wasnt any servers.Definitely go for the beer.
Great beer, great food, great service. I have come here a couple times. The food is amazing, especially for a brewery. I’m guessing anyone visiting here already knows their beer is good. The selection they have of on tap beers is pretty large. The atmosphere of the building is really cool too. Very modern.
Nice place, better service. Kinda preppy, but also a nice welcoming place to snag a beer
Staff, food and beer were awesome.
The only thing slightly good about this place was the beer. The food and service were both terrible. For a place rated so highly (4.6 at the time of this review), I had high hopes. Unfortunately, they werent met and it was so bad that I refuse to give them another chance.
We had about 25-30 of us in a back room after our boys finished a football game over at the nearby St Ignatius field. The Brewery has a cool vibe and the food is very good. Not a huge selection, but it came out quick and was good, although the fries were stale. The service was decent and the server tried her best, but they really should’ve had two servers helping a group of our size. The beer is solid. I had a Pilsner that was decent but we really liked their ‘Frosty’ beer.
Appear to the provide the typical bar food but everything with an extra step of culinary arts. Their Smash burger and chicken sandwich are probably the best thing they have on the menu. Covid precaution wise, they all are practicing social distancing with taped areas where walking traffic should flow. Outside seating has clear dividers to separate parties. Dogs are always allowed which is a huge bonus!!
Glad this place has reopened after a time closed due to Covid. Very good craft beer assortment. There is a lot of Covid precautions in place.
Nice quiet afternoon with a good beer selection. Tribe on TV.
Yum yum yum!and all staff are wearing their masks properly! 💜
Great food and a fun atmosphere
Market Garden is setting a standard for coming back from the shutdown better than ever. The reinvigorated menu is awesome. The already legendary Scotch Eggs, Chicken Sandwich, and Fried Bologna Sandwich achieved a new level, and the new Cleveland style pizzas are an exciting change from the usual. The Polish Pizza is an especially unique experience. Great vibe and service, thanks for coming back strong in Ohio City guys.
Great staff, very prompt and thorough. We ordered just what we thought was a plain pepperoni pizza and ended up being one of the best we’ve ever had. Great mid day lunch!
Great friendly customer service and a terrific surroundings
Great Beer and food!! Our very first visit.
Love the lemon shandy! Super cute place!
Tempting people to take experimental therapies for a discount beverage - which is probably against Ohio liquor control rules - is irresponsible and flippant
Great beer! Stopped in while passing through to Sandusky. The bartenders were so nice and accommodating. Highly recommend Market Garden Brewery!
The weekend brunch menu is fantastic. I love the pierogi pizza. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating!
I Iike this place a lot. Big, but doesnt feel like it. Great beers.. and a choice of so many others.Chipotle Maple Wings??? Dont leave until youve at least tried these guys!
Good beer & very efficient and attentive staff.
Great staff, very organized and cleanly. Food came out super fast and was satisfying. Came for Cle Burger week. Classic burger can do no wrong!
Good food. Good beer 🍺!
Five stars for food and service. I wish I remembered the name of our server cause I would give her a shout out. Why the four stars? Location. Not the actual restaurant itself, but where we where seated. I did ask for outdoor dining cause it was a sunny day. We where sat in the front on the W.25th side. Over the course of your meal (Polish Pizza, get it) two or three homeless men talked through the plants they use as barriers asking for either money or food. NO masks either so you can imagine what goes through your head. But this is not the fault of Market Garden. They took every effort they could to make sure it is a pleasant experience on that side. I put the blame on that loser Cleveland mayor and that council. I moved away for three years. The area has certainly improved but that administration still cant solve most problems. Ill be back but will ask for different seating other than W.25th.
What a wonderful experience our Monday night at Market Garden was. The beers were excellent (we had 8!) (4 oz samples of course)and the quinoa/rice bowl with Massachusetts cod was outstanding. Our waiter was as good as any wait person has ever been. All around extremely satisfied and will return.
Both Sarah’s were great!! They catered to our needs and we’re very funny!! They each deserve a raise!!
I like it, I went to the Biden Trump debate party. It was my first time there. Great hospitality nice staff. Im looking forward to going again!!
Bleu Apple pizza was one of the best pizzas Ive ever had!
Had my first dinner here and it was beyond amazing. The staff is extremely kind, and attentive. The beer selection is pretty vast; I would suggest the stout or the cabaret caplifter. The food is just as spectacular.! Service all the way up to management is choice all over impressive. Worth a drive from Columbus to be here.
I have been to breweries around the world and the beer from market garden brewery quickly became one,of my favorites. I am lucky enough to live within a few hours of this brewery amd plan on making many trips just for the delicious beers. I am very pleasantly surprised.
Brisket burger is nice!
Really good range of brews on tap. Nice patio area too.
Great service. Our bartender was helpful in selecting beers that fit our taste preferences. Beer flights were a great price. Their sauerkraut balls are excellent as well. Everyone seated at the bar ended up ordering some. Loved that they had a fireplace- made the whole place smell and feel cozy.
Wonderful experience with great staff, music, food, drinks, and a comfortable outdoor seating area equipped with heaters.
20 minutes after we were seated and the waiter hadnt even take our drink order... My family and I stopped in for a late lunch. We were seated inside right away. It was about 230 and wasnt busy. After 10 minutes a waiter stopped by and said hell be right with us. Another 10 minutes go by and the waiter still hadnt taken our order. We decided to leave and not come back. I would not recommend this place
