The biscuits and gravy for breakfast cannot be touched by anybody in the area. It still tastes the same as it did back in the 1970s. It has a flavor that you just have to taste to believe. Customer service was fantastic, The friendliness is unbelievable, The only drawback is the time it takes to get your food from the time it was ordered.

Nice little spot to eat at. The restaurant is not in the best of shape but they make up for it with the cheap home cooked style food. The chicken tenders and lemon pie are phenomenal.
This was my first visit to the Rebel. I had a breakfast with some friends and was pleasantly surprised with it.The outside of the restaurant is not impressive, but the inside is decorated with what a car club might look like- car pics and old 50s and 60s car hubcaps.Try their homemade biscuits and gravy, its yummy!!😋

Most down to earth home cooking place I have ever been. The food is amazing and the service is. Very personable!! Wonderful place to feel right at home as you eat your meal.
Service is slow! The waitress was nice but not real bright. She didnt bring drinks to the table because she did not pay attention to her tables. The food was Good! So if u have time this is a good place but if you are on your lunch break it takes way to long. We ordered right away but it took 30 minutes to get food to the table!

Has really went downhill. I’ve been coming here for years and hate to leave a bad review as I know the owner is trying. Owner is nice, servers are terrible. Lunch menu is terrible now.

Loved eating Rebel when I was a kid. Back when Ruby was alive and ran it. Was one of the best places in Cleveland to eat. However this experience wasnt that pleasant. Gravy tasted watery. Biscuits werent that good. Makes me sad.

Visited today since we had never been. Service was great and very nice, food however was lacking and there is a gas leak that isnt being dealt with. I noticed a smell right away, but when the heat kicked on, it was obviously gas. After a few minutes I became dizzy and my chest felt heavy, but having recent health issues, I didnt say anything right away. When my husband noticed as well, he let them know and was told it is just always like that. No, that is not acceptable. Waitress was very nice though and turned it off, the smell cleared with the heat down and I felt better soon after. That needs to be checked immediately. Now to the food. My husband got the lottaburger and he liked it and the fries were good. I got the hamburger steak which was very thin and had no seasoining at all. My green beans were the same, no flavor and were shriveled and tasted slightly burnt or spoiled (couldnt decide what was off). Was sadly dissapointed, but if the gas issue is fixed, would give them a second chance since he liked his food and the waitress was so nice.
