Seems like one of last decent hardware stores to survive the big box store wars. Really glad I found this spot. Helpful staff - I think Ive found exactly what I needed at every visit.

One of my favorite places to shop in the neighborhood. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and patient. I am always greeted with big smiles and Ive never felt like just a customer. After my first visit when I moved into the neighborhood I was surprised on my second visit that Steph and Jacob remembered my name. The Customer service is impeccable and the quality of products is just as amazing, especially the FERNS.

America needs more Hardware stores like South Hills because this place is a rare breed! Every detail in this store is spot on! From the owner down to every employee, Such a Special place I give it a 10

I needed informed advice on a project and i knew the big box stores were not an option.their employees just dont have the knowledge needed (if you can find one). hubby and i were in and out in just a few minutes and we got everything we needed and a few others. the guy that assisted us was great, the prices are great and you dont have to wander around aimlessly. i highly recommend this store. they even have a handyman on duty to help you with any projects that may be above your skill level. AND THEY SELL RANDYS PICKLES

I was very excited to experience this place. I visited with my two nieces. We had never been before. While walking around, we were confronted by one of the workers questioning, “how did you get over here?” There was no signs stating that customers could not go in that area, so how would one know? I stated this, and the worker shrugged his shoulders, totally dismissing us. We were not asked if we needed assistance at all. While I assume we were not usual demographics of customers, I still did not appreciate the questioning of us as though we were doing something wrong. I will be spending my dollars elsewhere.

While slightly pricey, they have what you need, but most importantly, they know what they are talking about, and that makes you feel good about paying a small bit more. Highly recommended!

From the moment I walked in I was asked if I needed help and was treated with respect like I was family and I’m a tough customer. The green house guys are professional and helpful. Thank you for treating me right. I felt so good when I left there with my flowers, masks, gloves and Pinesol. I will be back. My money spends any where, I choose to spend it here.

Nice little store. I take train photos and the owner is real nice and will let people sit and watch trains pass here. Looks like a great product selection too for most home improvement or mechanical needs and fair prices. Thanks for the deicer!

Great neighborhood shop. Friendly, smart employees who know their diy knowledge. Shop is fun to stroll through as they have surprising little items thrown in, like moon wands and waffle irons. The gourmet charcoal is a treat. Greenhouse is nice as well!

Best service and place Ive been too in a long time

Very disappointed with South Hills Hardware for false advertising. Price of a bale of straw posted on an orange sign for $9.99 right at the front door. They charged me $10.99 even after I mentioned the price on their porch.

Nestled on the south side of Cleveland this local gem exceeded all expectations. The owners and employees are true Clevelanders, the sort of folk who have made this city great and continue to do so. Warm greetings are abundant when you walk in and that warmth continues throughout the visit. You cant teach the type of customer service they provide. Do yourself a favor, skip the big box stores and take a quick trip to this place.

My family and I have been a customer of South Hills Hardware for over 20 years. The guys at South Hills have never let us down. From tuning up my snowblower and lawnmower every year, replacing screens and windows around the house or just for advice on any project Around the house they have never steered us wrong. They provide excellent customer service and know us all by first name basis. They truly know how to make my family feel wanted when we need anything. Thank you South Hills!

Great place with fantastic customer service. I arrived minutes after closing, and one of the employees saw me and asked what I needed. I left with what IO went there for. Above and beyond.

A fun place to shop where you can trust the advice and good service. Even without Jake the plumber, you can still count on a good crack. Just ask if they still have Prince Albert in a can.

Great store, I bought my first house in the area 2 years ago and liked the place when my lawnmower broke down and they fixed it right up for me faster than their estimate time. Since then I have gone there whenever I need tools or parts. May be a little more expensive than your major chain hardware store but these guys have way more experience and are always ready to help which in my opinion is worth the extra buck. I recommend this place to anyone in the area who is involved in any DIY project and need a tip or a tool, they certainly made a repeat customer out of me.

I had a really great experience for this Hardware didnt have a problem finding anything because the employees were there they were older so they were very knowledgeable and they werent just there to rip me off they actually gave me great advice why do you certain tools what tools do you use in certain situations and the prices werent that bad either the big places I think they were pretty good price to be a mom Pop Shop the customer service is great as well which is one of my also pet peeves you got to have great customer service it was really neat in the store I was able to find everything that I needed thank you South Hills Hardware keep up the great work Ill be watching and Ill be visiting again

These guys are the real deal. I always get great advice and they have never failed to have the part I need. This is what a neighborhood hardware store should be.

Very rude over the phone. Needed a tool for a project, not only did the clerk not know (ever hear ) of the tool. He then had me explain to him what it was used for. I proceeded to explain and he said Im a carpenter and i dont see that flying . Well we know several carpenters who are using these now. So I guess continue to make life hard for yourself. And stop speaking over your potential customers and acting like your the authority on any given subject. End of Rant.

Bought a new fridge with an icemaker. Was not connected during installation - they didnt have correct parts. After getting bad advice from bb store, I went to South Hills. Chris the owner helped me choose the correct fittings. Worked like a charm. Great store

These guys a great. Place is a small local store so selection isnt is large as the big stores but its got most of what you need and it is quick to get in and out.

I stopped in to see about their lawnmower repair. I talked to one gentleman who was friendly and helpful and he went to ask another worker about the fee for a pick up in Brecksville . Another worker came over and said bluntly said they would not go to Brecksville to pick up the lawnmower. Brecksville is 15 minutes away from their store and they’re unwilling to go that far to pick up someone’s lawnmower? What is your service area then? As I said the first worker was very friendly second could care less if he had my business.

If you need a good honest plumber call them!!!! I originally called roto rooters for a small job.( My toilet was taking about an hr to fill.) the guy insisted that we needed a whole new toilet! So we decided to call South Hills and thank god we did. Tony was in and out in about 15 mins. I didnt even tell them about my experience with roto rooters. They are just good honest people!
