Took a 2020 Mazda CX5 in for oil change because light was on. Only 1700 miles on car, purchased May 2021. Manager (Ray?) told me I didnt need change yet. Hed do it if I want, but not necessary yet. Dealer set service indicator. They could have done it, got my money, and be done. Seems to me, this gentleman has integrity, which you dont see much of anymore. They will be my service providers moving forward. Congratulations on your managerial appoint, sir. Youre off to a great start!

Yes, theyre expensive. BUT, theyll get the job done for ya. These guys know their stuff. Minus a star, however, because as my keys were handed back to me, noone smiled or said Thank you for coming. Just a silent void. That made feel a bit unwelcomed and burdensome. Not quite the hospitality Clovis is known for.

RIP off price wise. Use San Joaquin Automotive or if you really want to save money buy the pads and install yourself. YouTube probably has a video of it too. If you have tools to change the spare tire you could probably do it yourself. Order the kit on Amazon and install, you will save at least 75%. Pads per axle on a jeep wrangler are about $50. Midas wanted a minimum $300 per axle. Turning the rotors and any other BS they throw in can run you up to $450 per axle.

My appointment was at 10 am. I didnt get out of there until almost noon. It was an oil change. Never should have taken that long. And the tech who did the service was standing by my car in the bay screwing around on his phone after he was done, instead of backing my car out so I could go. No sense of urgency or consideration for other peoples time.

Had been a loyal customer until 05/01/21. Took my 14 Honda Accord for the usual Synthetic Blend oil change, the Desk Tech told me, he was required to use Full Synthetic, advised him, been using syn-blend at Midas since I purchased the vehicle including last oil change which was 50$. He flat out told me no, we used full-syn and gave you a 40$ discount. Didnt want to argue so I went ahead and paid for full-syn. On 05/03, checked my service records from Midas, sure enough, each oil change was syn-blend and no 40$ discount was issued to me for the previous oil change. Called my Honda Dealer Service Dept, asked if full-syn was required on my vehicle, I was advised it was not but that syn-blend should be used in my vehicle. So, losing a 15 year loyal customer for a 40$ upsell is one thing but, to flat out misrepresent the facts, i/e, LIE, to a customer is crossing a line. Have reached out to Midas Management but, as of this date no reply. Hey, whats one customer right ?

Dishonest and predatoring practice to try to sell you something I dont need. I called, made an appointment for break inspection and was very clear to Tiffany it was only a quote that day because of work. She said it would only be an hour. I spent two hours there and I kept asking I needed to leave and they will not put my car together. They wanted me to do the breaks, rock and pinion, Tires, etc. The breaks I needed, and thats why I went for, but I didnt have time to get them done. My tires are mid-life and do not need replacement, but they said I needed new tires. The sales person even said you mean you are not getting it done? Man, what part of need to leave now didnt they understand. My bill was going to be over $1,500. The break job was going to be over $500 alone! I took it three days later to a mom and pop shop, break job was $265 out the door. Tires and rock and pinion still in good condition. Boy, if this is how these people get business, please dont go there. They will see you a new steering wheel.

Rude woman on the phone refused to give me a part cost quote/estimate or labor cost per hour unless I brought my car in for an inspection first. Was impatient and rude on the phone. Unprofessional. I simply wanted to know what they offered for the rotors and pads for the front of my car, and how much Id be looking at for labor if I chose to take my car there. Needless to say Ill never call or chose to do business with any Midas business in the future. I had several places before here provide the information for me, this employee was being difficult and could not understand how to break down the prices of what they had and offered for my question. What is so hard to ask for my vehicle information, look up my vehicle information, and then state for my vehicle any plan they offer, or state the range of prices for the replacement of the brake pads? Horrible. TLDR; Simply put, they failed to do what business before them did with ease, and was impatient and rude about it.

Unfortunately, there isnt very many positives about this Midas. They were relatively quick, but sometimes quick service comes with downfalls. I had gone in to get my brakes checked, due to some high pitch noises occurring when I braked. Although this Midas was quick in getting my car back to me, they missed a couple of issues the first time and I had to come in a week later (I would have come sooner because I heard the sounds not even a day later, but my schedule was a little tight during that week). The first time I came in, they said that didnt see any problems, and that they could recondition my brake rotors($80 manual labor for my front and back brakes, each), but the only other issues were the shocks (although Im grateful for them finding this, they missed the other issues with the brakes) and I needed a oil change($70). But a week later they said that my brake pads had spider-web like cracks, and my calipers had lost their hydraulic pressure. Issues that dont occur over a day. At this time I couldnt afford to replace my calipers but I had warranty on pads so all I had to pay was the manual labor costs. Expecting $80 (like the previous time for the recondition) I found out that they then decided to charge me $140 for the front and $140 for the back. This service definitely wasnt worth $280, especially since they missed the real issues the first time. I realize that I could have done the pad replacement myself for less than $100, but I needed timely repairs. I wish they were more consistent with their prices for manual labor, and I think its essential that they thoroughly check all aspects of the given problem before trying to rush it out the door.

Spent more than $700 for rotors and pads here and left with damage from something being dropped on my truck wheel while it was laying under my vehicle being worked on. When I discovered the damage, emailed photos and explained it to the manager he immediately denied any possibility of how they could have caused the damage. He requested that I come by so he could see the damage in person. After driving from Hanford to do so, he still immediately denied any plausibility of it happening there. While my brakes were being worked on, all 4 wheels were facing up under the truck and under each area they were working. Some wheels had boxes and tools on them as well. The damage is obviously from impact from something dropping on it. The damage is on the plastic chrome cover piece that is fused to and part of the entire wheel so the actual wheel has to be replaced if I want this damage repaired. Dealer cost is $662. I now either have to pay that cost, find one on a wrecked vehicle or take my chances online. I have a lifetime warranty on my brake pads now but its worthless since I wont be returning to this shop for any future business and will do my best to share this experience everywhere I can.

I took my car for the second time to this Clovis location I have several times taken it to the MIDAS in fresno but since I moved to the clovis area I decided to use the MIDAS located there. It was just for a simple oil change and when my husband started the car noticed the oil change message was still on but all the radio stations from the car and SIRIUS were deleted. When he went to ask for an explanation they told him to come back on Monday to get the message reset and also if he wasnt happy to speak to the manager. I decided to place the phone call and CHRIS who claimed to be the manager told me with a rude tone of voice: What exactly do you want me to do? Because it is never guarantee that we will reset the oil change message without even letting me talk, he was the whole time talking over me so I asked him to talk and then I was going to talk since he couldnt wait until I was finish. Next I asked if he can tell me the experience of the mechanic who did the oil change? and if it was the same person who tried to reset the message? he then started to yield saying I had no right to accused his workers for not being professionals to what I responded; Im sorry as a costumer I believe I do have the right to know who is working in car ( Mercedes Benz) he then said that he felt that I was being accusative I let him know that I never accused anyone I was just trying to figure out what exactly was done to my car so I can explained to SIRIUS so they can install the services again. I informed him how rude it was of him to raised his voice and he claimed that he did it because I did it first to what I responded that I was 100% sure he received a great training on consumer services especially since he was the manager and he was supposed to behave professionally regardless ( just to be clear I didnt disrespected him in any way) I then asked who his boss was and who he reports to and his answer was: to him self because MIDAS is not corporate is a franchise. I let him know even then he still have to report to someone and he asked why I wanted to know to which I responded: When I first called I was just trying to figure out what it was done to my car to let SIRIUS radio know and also to tell then that in the future if they dont know how to reset it just to leave it alone but at that point I wanted to report the poor way he handle the problem. He asked me to bring the car to see if he can get it fix but by his tone of voice it was noticeable he was upset. It will be the last time I use your services and I really hope you train your manager properly or else you are going to continue to lose costumers with that POOR COSTUMER SERVICE. He still representing MIDAS even if is not corporate.

Midas is known for ripping people off and replacing parts that are not needed criss Perkins is a liar and is the manager he prays on women that have no knowledge of cars. After replacing 3 master cylinders they finally admit that the abs is out and not the master cylinder and refuse to refund money so now we are going to the bureau of automotive repair. Upon inspection at the dealer ship it was also found that the oil drain plug was striped out and glued into the pan. Midas does not have the proper equipment to diagnose vehicles newer than 1980 save yourself a huge headache and do not go to midas.

Feed up with the dealer so decided to try and find a close shop. Customer Service and smile is deceiving. They are friendly and seem very attentive but a smile and handshake does not fix cars. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation over the week end as the shop I wanted to take it to, is not open on the weekends and I need my car for work. I asked Midas to let me know if they find any other issues, of course they did, including an oil leak, A Arm bushing worn, engine mounts worn. I was fine with having them take care of ALL the issues. $2300 later after coming home I find they did not rotate the tires, Argh/Hmmm? The car did feel and sound a little off. Looking under the car I see drip drip drip. SERIOUSLY!! I took it to German Auto Werks in Clovis first thing during the week, I did need a rental car, and in less than 3 hours they called to let me know bolts were missing from the A arms, there were now two oil leaks, the brake fluid was half full, the engine mounts were completely worn out and the oil was dirty. MIDAS DID PRETTY MUCH NOTHING!!! What was done was poor at best. Not replacing bolts on steering components!!! DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO MIDAS!

Midas is absolutely the worst shop to take your vehicle to. After taking my vehicle to Midas for a timing chain, and timing chain guide replacement my vehicle was completely ruined and had to buy another vehicle. After more than a week long back and forth to the shop and missed time at work, the end result was a total botched job.The worst workmenship and management, skills ever. Un- certified techs and techs that look like theyre on METH. I recommended that no one ever take a vehicle to any Midas location, from Bakersfield to Salinas as they are all managed by the same person. My vehicle is still ruined has misfires, misfire codes, power steering pump was mounted uncorrectly, it shakes, and it eats serpentine belt due to the power steering pump alignment. The car can not even pass smog due to all these issues, and can not be re-registered.Over all worst automotive shop experience ever, they deserve a zero star rating

Both times Ive gone in to get an oil change and tire rotation, with a coupon, they denied me from getting service. First it was the oil cap is too tight and they dont want to break it, then its because my truck was making a knocking sound which is why I needed the oil changed. All they did was top me off and didnt even give it a look to tell me whats wrong with it. Horrible customer service and complete incompetence across the board. I would not suggest taking your vehicle here, theyre just a bunch of lazy con artists.

Usually I dont write reviews, but I have really enjoyed taking my vehicles to this Midas and suddenly something has changed. Last time it was my car. I took it in for an oil change and they called and said it needed a new battery even though the one in it is only a few months old. I ran it over to the guys who put the battery in and they said its fine. 6 months later Ive had no trouble with it. I chalked it up to some sort of technician issue and took my truck in last week for an oil change and they called and said it needed $700 worth of shocks. Once again I took it to the guys who do the major repairs on my vehicles and they say its fine. Needless to say I will not be returning.
