I brought in my Colt 1991A1 that my Dad left me when he passed away. I just wanted to switch out some parts and have them installed professionally. Dylan was the man to do the job. He quoted me a month but I asked him if I could have it done sooner since I was excited to take it to the range. He only said he would try to get it done soon. Nothing more. He really came through! Not only did he get it done early, but a whole 2 weeks early! Since I received the gun, I have been to the range 3 times and the gun ran flawlessly! The trigger felt smooth and broke nicely. The new sights were spot on. Considering that I rarely fired the gun, now I hit the mark almost all the time! The new hammer and beaver tail safety finished it out. I love it! I highly recommend them!P.S. I came in to pick up the gun at exactly when the shop was going to close. I was going to pay the balance with my credit card. He mentioned that I was going to lose my cash discount if did that. He said that he would wait for me if I wanted to run to the bank. I went and saved more money by paying cash. He didnt have to do that. He could have just taken the card payment and went home since it was quitting time. But Dylan didnt do that. He waited for me so I could save some money. Two weeks early delivery time and money saved. If thats not excellent customer service, then I dont know what is.

My grandpa recently handed down some old guns that were used heavily back in their day but hadnt been fired in over 30 years. I took them into Clovis Gunsmithing to be stripped down, cleaned, repaired (if necessary), and to make sure they were in working order. I told Dylan, the gunsmith, about the guns and issues I had with them and he told me what he believed was broken on the guns and what he would do to fix them. He explained the gun mechanics to me in a very easy to understand way and gave me an up front price quote about what services he would perform on the guns. When I came back to the shop to pick them up, he cleaned them up so they were spotless and oiled them. Two of the guns had broken parts so he ordered and installed them. All three of the guns I dropped off that were not shootable are now working, rust free, and operate smoothly. I was very pleased with the quality of work. This guy truly loves his job and guns of all kind and works on them like they are his own. I also liked the non-intimidating atmosphere. Some gun places will look down on newbs or people who arent in their group of range buddies but Dylan took the time to answer any questions I had about the guns and even emailed me a link to a where to buy a replacement stock for one of them if I wanted to. Definitely a friendly place that does high quality work and I highly recommend it

I found clovis gunsmithing a while back and will never go anywhere else for gun work again. the owner is very friendly and honest, and happy to give advice and tips. he stays busy so his turnaround can be on the long side (one of my antiques was with him for 3 months) but it is alright because i know my guns are done right and by a professional and not by someone who just sells guns and tries to do some gunsmithing on the side. i am so happy to have found a true gunsmith who has no problem welding and machining on my old guns that other people looked at with a blank face or messed up. he has even made me parts that are not available, which of course comes at a pretty price :)
