I have a very old table lamp with sentimental value. The switch went bad and I dont feel confident enough to do the repair myself. I dropped it off around 11am and they had it done by 2!! The lamp is brought back to life! Thank you!

The glass part of my blender broke and I couldn’t find a replacement anywhere online. Was about to purchase a whole new blender, but then I checked Nelson Appliance and they had just the glass part! It was super affordable, I didn’t have to buy any parts that I didn’t need, and they have great customer service. Before you buy at big box stores or online, go support this incredible small business!

I have this wonderful old Kitchen Aid Mixer that my grandmother gave to me that has been sitting collecting dust for years. I cleaned her off an plugged her in and found that the first 4 gears were not working. I researched repair shops and found Nelson Appliance. I brought my Mixer in to Nelsons and the fellow behind the counter told me they would give me a Free Estimate and it would be about 2 weeks.I really wanted this repaired so I told him to just fix it and let me know the cost. 24 hours later he calls and tells me that it will be HALF the price i estimated and it would be ready to pick up in a few hours! I can happily report that I am writing this while baking a batch of cookies that I made with Grandmas Kitchen Aid.

Person who answered the phone prior to coming down with my vacuum seemed knowledgeable and assertive in the info provided despite all of it being inaccurate once I was onsite.Without even looking at my vacuum they were unable to help for reasons undenounced aside from quickly stating they don’t work on handhelds.Was told to just call the manufacturer.Offered $ just to have him look at it since he said if it was a simple fix like a blockage they could do it. He still wasn’t interested. Made a 60-second call to the manufacturer and turns out it is just a dirty filter or blockage. Because of the interactions I had with the two employees I will just give business to another company. I think that’s the vibe they put off anyways in the rushed interaction they graced me with. Sorry to bug you guys, good luck!

I needed some parts for my 1965 vintage Oster Blender Galaxie. I called, yes, he has them in stock. Drove, went in, picked up and left. How nice!! He sticks parts for vacuums, carpet cleaners, pressure cookers, mixers...who knows what else!!! Great place! Go and see!

Jay is great. Worked in our vacuum and no pressure service. Pulled it apart in front of me showing the different parts that clog and fail. Great store and service!

Second repair for my shampooer. Wanted to charge more for the same thing that was fixed the first time that cost $20. This time it was going to be $80. No thanks! Took a look at some of the other carpet cleaners and they are about $20-$30 dollers cheaper than a brand new one at Walmart! Not used! We were asked if we wanted them to discard our shampooer for us but we picked it up. Im assuming they would fix it and resell it for a high price. So not impressed. 👎

Had an espresso machine that I loved and the pump went out. I shipped it to Nelson, they replaced the pump, and had the machine back to me about a week later! Their service was fast and professional. So glad to have my espresso machine back and functioning - so much less expensive than buying a new one! LOVE LOVE LOVE small shops that are great at what they do. Youd be nuts not to at least consider using them.

Called to inquire about an appliance and was interrupted and cut off. Rude customer service is a non-starter for me.

I was so impressed by the quick and friendly service I received there today. I brought in two vacuums that were not working properly and received them both back, completely fixed, in 5 minutes. The cost was a very small fraction of the price of one of the vacuums. I highly recommend Nelson Appliance Repair, and will be back next time I have an appliance problem.

They were great! Turnaround was faster and final cost lower than the estimate. I would go there anytime.

The turn around time was quick but the customer service and communication is clearly lacking. I took two small desk lamps in to inquire about replacing the cords since they were bought overseas. I knew that I could buy adapters for about $20-25 a piece but I figured if the price was comparable I would just replace the cords/plugs. When I took them in I was quoted $32.50 for one and $20 for the other to which I happily agreed. Only when I went to pick them up the next day they charged me $93 and refused to honor the price I was quoted simply stating that whoever gave me the quote didnt know the prices. Clearly. I never would have done it for that price, I wouldve much rather just bought the adapters. So they have my money but I wont be back and I do not recommend Nelsons.

For years, Nelsons has been repairing my appliances. Im a big fan of Dyson vacuums, but when they have problems I take them over to Nelsons Appliance Repair. They do great work and provide exceptional service at a fair price.

I appreciated the free check, to determine if the item was fixable. They were prompt in letting me know what the problems were and explained in a thorough way whether or not the issue could be fixed. When the issue was not fixable, they offered to recycle the item for free. The entire experience was professional and courteous. I would certainly go back.

Great customer service. I called Nelson Repair just a few minutes before they closed, knowing if I left home right then, I would not make it in time. I needed a part that day, and they stayed open for me. I got there 5 after close, and got the part I needed. Thanks guys!

Some of the worst customer service and communication Ive ever experienced. First we were told that it would take 10 days to get the parts for our espresso machine, then they changed their tune and said two months, and THEN we were told three months. THREE MONTHS to order parts?? Ive never even heard of that kind of timeline! They have terrible customer contact, and you should expect to call them if you want any kind of information. They canceled my order (without contacting me) and claimed that my husband, who is deployed and doesnt have a phone, told them to cancel the order. UGH. Even after all this, theyre still charging us full price and had to reorder the parts because they canceled the original order which will take even more time. They had my machine for a total of FOUR months, and didnt seem to care! When I was finally able to go in and get my machine, I was completely underwhelmed. Its dirty, smells terrible, and is completely cluttered. AVOID this business if possible.

Never again. I took my Dyson in because the on/off button intermittently worked and didnt work, whether the machine was clean or not. 8 minutes after I left the store they called me and said it was now working since they replaced a filter. Hence, they never checked the button. They charged me $46 for a $32 filter (just checked w/ Dyson) and said Dyson would not cover the filter. Dyson just said they would have. The on/off button still intermittently stops working, but they said I would have to get another work order from Dyson before they would look at the button, which was what they were supposed to do in the first place. I will not go to this shop again.

I am so glad that someone still repairs small appliances! Weve had several things repaired by Nelson over the years, plus they are a great source of unusual parts.Most recent: a rechargeable electric razor whose battery was dying. Why spend $100 on a new one when for $10 it can be good as new?! Great, fast, friendly, knowledgable service.(Personally, I believe their response far more than the rant from the one upset customer. They are about as far from terrible customer service as I could imagine.)

Amazing. I was actually out of state and getting no where with my local Breville support center. I went down the list of others in the country and came across Nelson. Within minutes they helped me with a problem that I have spent a week trying to solve. If they are this good for someone out of state I can only imagine that they are far superior to others face to face.

I went in for a lamp part & was told to contact the lamp manufacturer. Id called first and they said they had parts books I could order from, never mentioned this when I went in.Another time, beaters for a Kitchenaid hand mixer. They could be ordered for about the price of a new mixer. I ordered them online, $9. Another trip I needed to replace a broken grater for my food processor. A new processor was $25, the replacement grater was $18. Ive been here several times and never purchased anything.

I dropped off my Sanitare upright Vacuum because it needed help, the height adjustment stopped working and it needed a belt, bulb and bag also. I got it back and the height adjustment still doesnt work. Another recent case was about a lamp that needed repair (new cord I think) and when I went to pick it up the gal at the desk noticed the cord retainer on the base of the lamp wasnt all the way back in position so she grabbed a pair of scissors and was point first trying to beat the thing back in position.....I told her to forget it. This place has gone downhill in a big way and I guess Ill be looking for help elsewhere. These tasks are so simple but since I dont have hands anymore I have to depend on this kind of business. Yucch!
