They were able to schedule me in the next day. The staff were very knowledgeable and the equipment seemed top notch. Part of the charge also incorporates earnings that prevent most infections. They are a cash business so have money prepared or go to an ATM right beforehand.

I came in to my appointment at 11:50 and got in the chair at 11:58. Both of the staff in front were super sweet and made sure they had all the paper work correct. Ensuring the entire time that the piercer would see me soon. I got two nipple piercings by Lindsey who was very encouraging and sweet the entire time. She was very pleasant to talk to (which is usually hard for me with having social anxiety). She made sure I liked where the piercings were before she started, and again after they were done. They were done perfectly, and I was given a lot of good advice on after care. Definitely will be booking another appointment with them.

The owner of Pens & Needles allows her artists and piercers to discriminate and engage in highly unprofessional behavior.I heard great things about this shop, and came into the piercing location with my partner to get jewelry and a consultation. The male piercer we were sent to immediately refused to allow me to enter the room because of my trained service dog. He claimed his room was a sterile environment, which federally and locally is incorrect as he was wearing street clothes and not sterile himself. He treated me with incredible disrespect as I attempted to explain that under both federal and state laws I was allowed to be accompanied with my service dog (ADA Title III and CO Rev Stat § 24-34-803 (2016) ). He began yelling at me and my partner and slamming doors. I asked to speak to the owner, who was also severely misinformed and told me any of her artists can refuse me service for any reason, including my disability. The other piercer there, a woman, also said she would not allow me to come into her room with my service dog. Besides the receptionist, all of the people working here were incredibly disrespectful and spoke over me as I attempted to speak with them.I was attempting to file a police report and waiting for the piercers and owners names when I found out the business had called the police on me.Luckily the police confirmed that a business cant refuse a person service based on their disability (just as they cant their race, sexual orientation, religion, etc) and asked if I still wanted to receive services here. I told them no I did not due to the treatment Ive received, and thanked them for their time.At this point I would never choose to receive services here, and would caution anyone from going here. I have extensive tattoo and piercing work done, and have never had an issue before this with artists with my very well behaved service dog.The piercers are incredibly unprofessional, and the owner allows this behavior. I was even planning to go book a tattoo consultation next door after visiting the piercing location, but as the owner is the same for the Weber tattoo location, that will not be happening either.

Just got my nostril pierced by Mike today. Everyone there was nice. I was nervous, but Mike helped me stay calm. Definitely going back here for my other piercings. 😁

Lindsey pierced my nostril last week and did an awesome job! I researched several places in the Colorado Springs area before deciding on Pens & Needles, and Im very glad that I ended up coming to them. I was super nervous, but she had great bedside manner which helped me feel much more at ease. The atmosphere was clean and professional, and the whole time I felt confident that my nose and I were in good hands!

This place came up as a kid friendly piercer and website states the same. Front desk guy definitely put me in my place when I came in with my daughter... Bad attitude and Ill bring my business elsewhere.

I had a good experience getting my nostril pierced and a jewelry change by Lindsey today! The shop was very clean and everyone is very nice. She matched it very evenly with my other nostril. She talked me through the whole thing and made sure I was okay after the awful nostril tapering 😜 I have such bad anxiety so I was so thankful for that lol.The only things I was kind of bummed over... was I originally had an appointment last week, and they called me an hour before my appointment to let me know they had to reschedule. I was already on my way because I was coming from somewhere out of the way, but okay things happen. They said they would give me 50% off of the price of the piercing due to inconvenience, but I don’t think they remembered as I ended up paying I think the full price anyways (It was $68, not including tip. I was told it would be $45 for the piercing originally. Not sure how much a jewelry change is but I can’t imagine it could be that much.) I was a little disappointed, but I wasn’t gonna argue I just wish they would have held up to their word, and I am glad they had ATMs on site as I was unprepared and didn’t bring that much cash (they are cash only.)

Had an amazing experience here in 2015 when getting my snake bites done and then today when getting a nostril piercing. My piercer was amazing! They’re taking good precautions during this pandemic. Clean, fast, informative, kind, and professional. Definitely recommend this place.

Four stars is pretty accurate.My piercer and the receptionist were awesome. The receptionist was very polite, caring, and nice, while the piercer was down-to-earth and was very good at making me feel very comfortable during the piercing process. I would totally use them again if I ever decided to do more piercing/tattooing. This is where the four stars come from, the place is awesome and I tipped my piercer of course.This where the missing star comes from. I went to the other half of the building to get some cash from the ATM (Pens and Needles is cash-only). Before walking into that part of the building, the piercer had told me it was kosher to hold the mask on my face without hooking it around my ears. Thats how I walked into the other portion of the building, since I was still a little jilted from this first-time experience. I go to the ATM and on the way, a young guy, African-American, says Dont let that mask come down. I think, OK yeah not really worried about that just trying to use the ATM. I start calling my bank was my card was not working at the ATM and while Im dialing them the guy says Yeah, just go ahead and put the mask up. Im thinking, OK I thought we had moved on from this since I obviously have the mask up. I tell him, I just got my ears pierced, and Im worried about putting it over my ears. Hes then quick to say It wont hurt them, trust me. To be polite, I do so. The guy was very pushy and impolite the whole few minutes I was there. Im over here using the ATM and having issues and his only is thing is critiquing my mask placement and trying to micromanage me. Afterwards, I decided that this wasnt really the way I wanted my experience to end. I get it; a lot of businesses are dealing with anti-maskers who dont care about what other people think. I saw a guy at Ulta the other day go in without a mask and ignore the employees. I went in with my mask covering my mouth and nose (like I have been since the beginning of the pandemic), and was obviously not one of those people. The guy went full-Karen and projected his fears onto me I guess? Again, kinda weird after meeting other really nice employees. Hoping Pens and Needles either replaces the guy at some point or retrains him in providing good customer service and being polite. You dont get far by trying to pressure customers into things that make them uncomfortable. Aside from that, really great experience and professionalism.

Ive gotten several piercings here. The staff is always very friendly, the procedure is always extremely clean, and you dont pay ridiculous amounts of money. They give great cleaning and care advice and make it very clear when you can change your piercings out, what gauge they are, and other important information. They take your anatomy into account every single time, and when I got my conch done by Chris, he even placed it in a way that would look nice alongside my other piercings. The customer service is also excellent, and when I needed a time change on my appointment, they were very accommodating. Additionally, I did not have to wait past the start time of my appointment once. They are quick, to the point, and still provide quality work. By far my favorite piercing shop I have been to, hands down. Thank you!

I got my nose pierced by Leo and he did a great job! He was quick and open to hearing about where I wanted my piercing in relation to the piercing already on that side of my nose. I love how both studs look together and Im super happy :) I highly recommend him

Pretty disappointed in the staff here. I scheduled an appointment for a piercing for a specific time and day. The staff member put it down in their schedule for the wrong day. When I arrived for the appointment that was discussed and confirmed, the staff informed me they could not accommodate even though it was their error. I don’t think I’ll be pursuing this business for future piercings due to the lack of respect for owning up to their error.

Ive had my cartilage pierced before, and it never healed properly, so I was very careful about doing it again! This place was professional and so thorough! They did exactly what I wanted and it has hardly even hurt compared to my precious piercing. It is healing beautifully. Definitely going back if I ever decide to pierce something else.

I got a third piercing in each of my lobes, right below my cartilage shelf. Because the piercings were so close to the shelf, Anthony had to pay really close attention to the type of needle he used and to the process. I was impressed by the level of detail that went into his planning. The procedure was very short and almost painless. It was about as intense as a flu shot, but without soreness afterward! I clean twice a day with saline solution and have had no bleeding or crustiness. The salon also gave me a quick follow-up call, and we discussed some titanium backings that I plan to switch to once they arrive. I strongly recommend Pens & Needles for piercing. I kind of want a fourth ear piercing now...but Ill give that idea some time. (P.S. Its the ruby.) Thanks!

I have gotten a few piercings done here. Ive had one piecer who was amazing (I loved her, seriously) and everyone else seems to be kind of grumpy & arrogant. Idk maybe thats the vibe theyre trying to portray, but it is off putting. The piercings themselves have always turned out well. Honestly though, piercing is such a fun & exciting experience for me typically that I cant go here anymore; its kind of a joy killer lol.

Got a piercing and they made the experience so pleasant and comfortable. I even had an issue where I lost the ball to the piercing weeks later and they took me in right away, fixed me up, with no questions asked or extra charges! They give you all necessary information you need in order to maintain the piercing as well. I loved how sanitary the studio was, where the piercing equipment is held it is completely sanitized and i accidentally put my wallet there, she then re sanitized the whole area before continuing. This made me feel very secure that I was receiving top treatment. Thank you!

Ive had several piercings done in the Springs. Now having gone to P&N with Marcea, Id planned to only go to her for all my piercings! Her knowledge and experience, as well as her great attitude and attention to detail, are just some of the reasons I now go only to her.I just have to say, however the reason the shop is getting 4 out of 5 stars, is due to the interactions I had recently w the man answering the phone and doing the office work. He was rude over the phone and less than welcoming (definitely not friendly) when I went in for my appointment. I know things are more difficult all the way around right now, but getting a piercing is a positive thing for the people going in. His treatment of customers is enough to make me want to go somewhere else, as well as the reason for the company not getting 5 stars.

This place is incredible! I’ve had 3 different piercings here by 2 different people and have absolutely no complaints! Both of these people(sorry i forgot names) were incredible and helpful and so comforting. I have been a client of Marceas for several years. I called to set up an appointment with her and was told that she is no longer there by the very RUDE male receptionist. I asked if he knew where she was and he said he didnt give a damn and that someone else would be piercing me. I was lucky enough to be able to find Marcea on Facebook and found out that she opened up her own shop and called her and she got me in. She is the best piercer around, hands down. No wonder she left. That was not the first time Ive dealt with this rude receptionist. So if you are looking for Marcea, she has her own new shop called The Holey Grail. Pens And Needles has gone way downhill!

Wonderful experience!! I was so impressed by the professional and knowledgeable, yet super fun, ladies who took care of us. My daughter and I went together because she insisted I get my ears pierced again so she could see before she got hers done. They were so accommodating and managed to stay very sterile and clean. The girls were so positive and friendly and we both had very healthy piercings when we were finished! 100% would recommend and will return when I need another hole somewhere!! Haha.

I had been a customer at PN for years and years. I was originally a client of Dustins. When he left, I met Marcea. Both piercers were extremely professional and knew their stuff. I recently returned to buy some new jewelry and consult with Marcea regarding an ear project I was looking forward to starting. I was treated incredibly unprofessionally by the man who works at the front. I dont know why he was so triggered, as all I did was request an appointment with Marcea, and ask about purchasing jewelry. Apparently, Marcea has moved on. He flat out refused to tell me where she was and said that they didnt have any gold jewelry and that I needed an appointment just to look at jewelry. He was openly hostile, and for this reason, I dont care to give any further business to this shop. Luckily, Marcea was easy to find on Instagram, and I was able to set up a time to come in and see her and we got started on my new ear project (she did the other ear, and I am in love with it). If you return to Pens And Needles looking for Marcea (or Dustin), you will be treated rudely. Marcea opened up her own shop with another Pens And Needles alumni named Mandy, who is an incredibly talented tattoo artist. The vibe in their new shop is so relaxed and it is absolutely beautiful and welcoming inside. It is called The Holey Grail. Save yourself some frustration and steer clear of such unprofessional treatment.

Ive been both pierced and tattooed at Pens and Needles. Every time Ive been there Ive been happy with my experience. Very friendly staff all of which are well versed in their trade and skills. The shops are well maintained and clean. You can tell that take pride in their business. Lastly Pens and Needles is Veteran owned and I personally love supporting our vets. Highly recommend checking them out.

I was feeling so conflicted aobut how many stars to leave. On the one hand, Lindsay did a great job on my piercing. But on the other hand I was treated very rudely. When I called to set up my piercing time he acted like I was stupid & talked down to me. When I came in he was even more rude. It got the vibe way off for the peircing . I told her I was going to leave her a great review-but than felt like conflicted. I really like her & would like to come back. But I definitely dont want to be treated like I am an idiot again.

Marcea was awesome! She was very clean, very professional and very informative. I am very scared of needles. I got my daith pierced and normally that’s supposed to be super painful and bloody. She did an incredible job minimal pain and blood. She even pierced it so it would lay flat when i have a very small and tight ear and it seemed impossible. Definitely would recommend this place.

I came as a walk in, I was greeted and everyone was really nice, the place seemed clean. I was seen in ~25 minutes which is why I give two stars. I wanted to change my 9 month old tragus piercing (not originally pierced by this shop) into some fresh jewelry. I noticed two other people (one came in before and the other after me) filling out paperwork, standard for any piercing shop. However I was not asked to fill out paperwork, weird but maybe since it’s not a new piercing it was okay to skip?Then I’m in the room. I chose a hoop, which I guess was a big mistake. The Lady piercer told me I have a small keloid on the piercing site, but not to worry she will still try to put it in. After what felt like I was going to lose part of my ear, she wanted to try a straight stud. Great, my ear can’t hurt any more than it already does. And again, the pain was so much worse than getting it pierced (not originally pierced by her or this place) and then she finally told me she was basically done trying but she would keep going if I was OK. I wasn’t. Then she said to soak with a sea salt/water mix and to stick a regular earring in it when I get home to hope the hole won’t close up because she couldn’t get the original earring back in because the site was so swollen. Oh, and take ibuprofen.I just think that if she was truly Highly experienced in piercing all bodies and handling piercings she would have sent me home after noticing my piercing might not be ready for any manhandling. My ear is throbbing horribly. At least she apologized and they didn’t charge me.

The only reason I give them 4/5 stars is because I had a little bit of trouble with the receptionist actually booking my appointment in the beginning. I had scheduled 2 weeks in advance with a certain piercer but she never wrote it in the book. Thankfully when I came in and showed the card she gave me I was seen right away, JUST before my piercer went on his lunch break.I had done my research, scrolling through the reviews to find a good piercer and even emailed them (got a response right away on the next weekday) and got recommended to Anthony, who I was told was the only person experienced with piercing inverted nipples. I was incredibly nervous going in but Ive got to say, Anthony is a very funny and reassuring dude and the work he did looked fantastic!It is very hard to get two side by side piercings 100% perfect so I didnt blame him when one came out the SLIGHTEST bit crooked. During my 2 week check up I brought it up and he took full responsibility and offered to redo it once the hole healed. I took him up on that offer and I couldnt be more pleased!I used to be extremely self conscious about my nipples but now that i got them pierced it just feels so natural and looks like it was meant to be there all along --like I should have been born with them.If anyone is thinking about getting their nipples done I highly recommend asking for Anthony. It gets a bad rep on the pain scale but honestly he made it feel like it were just a pinch. Piercing my bellybutton hurt a lot worse than this and I went through it twice! (Once left and once right, not counting the redo on one side)

Got my double helix done here today, and was blown away with how clean the shop was, how knowledgable the staff was, and how considerate my piercer (Anthony) was. Such an impeccable experience the entire way through. A little expensive, but you pay for the quality of work, jewelry, and compassion this shop has to offer. I brought my 8 year-old daughter here when she wanted to get her ears pierced. I did not want to bring to her to Claires or some mall stand to have it done. We figured this place would be sterile, professional and do quality work even if the setting was a little intimidating to an 8 year-old.The environment was very welcoming to my daughter. They made sure she understood the piercing process, that she was comfortable and that it was her decision to get her ears pierced. To boot, they have a great selection of quality jewelry.The entire experience was just awesome. 5 stars all the way.

I chose this shop because they use Titanium because I cant use sterling sliver or surgical steel. I got an Industrial done by Anthony and he was amazing. He was a gentle as possible and walked me through the whole process. This isnt my 1st cartilage piercing but it is my biggest and because I have small ears he made sure everything was perfect. Im so happy with the shop and the job that he did and I cant wait to go back next week for my follow up. This shop was SUPER clean and everyone was professional. I would recommend this shop to anyone and make sure you ask for Anthony, you wont be disappointed.

I got my Double Helix done here about a month ago, the place is super clean and has a good vibe! I was able to make an appointment the day that I wanted it done, and the guy on the phone with me was super flexible because I ended up changing my appointment time. They have a really good selection on jewelry to choose from for a really reasonable price! The man who pierced me was super chill, I had a lot of questions and he was able to answer them effectively and he knows what he talking about when it comes to piercing! Highly recommend!!!!!

Went in for my septum piercing yesterday. Anthony was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly professional and super calming (as I was a touch nervous). It feels like it’s always been there! Ill be back for more piercings/jewelry! I did wake up this morning and my ball had fallen off. I popped into the studio today and they tightened the ball down and were super helpful. Ive been here for tattoos in the past (I think it was Xander I saw). He was phenomenal & did fantastic work!A couple months ago I went and got my nose (re)pierced by Marci. She was great too. Really relaxing, did some aromatherapy, and was very knowledgeable about the scar tissue I had and piercing over it again. It was expensive (~$50 I think), which wasnt discussed at all beforehand so it was a little surprising when it came time to pay. You get what you pay for though, its very clean and high quality jewelry.

Amazing! I was super nervous to get my nose pierced. I went in and everyone was incredibly nice! They have a really good selection of jewelry which really let me find the piece I wanted. I got my belly pierced here about 2 years ago and it healed beautifully .. I had also gotten a double helix piercing done last year . Unfortunately, it turns out my ear anatomy wasnt fit for a top helix and it was pierced anyways with the false knowledge from the piercer saying it would be fine . I had to get both piercings removed due to them healing improperly, causing regection and migration because of the wrong placement. Every time I came in to have the piercer check on them, she told me they were healing great when that was not the case . I decided to stop in another piercing studio and he was even scared to take them out because of the thin layer my top helix was hanging off of . They are out as of today & Ive never felt such great relief . Though my ear wasnt fit to having both piercings there, and were pierced anyways, Im convinced it was just for the money .. Both were pierced for under $60, not including tip . My advice is find someone with many years of experience, is knowledgeable, and wont pierce somewhere they know wont be a good experience for you long term . Spend the extra 100+ $ and go somewhere with extremely high quality jewelry . The prices seemed too good to be true ! Wont be returning .

We brought our 5-year old in to have her ears pierced and had a great experience. The studio is very clean. Crystal did an awesome job talking our daughter through the process and allowed her as much time as she needed to prepare for the second ear. She even offered our daughter a piece of candy to help her feel better, which she is still talking about 2 weeks later! We will definitely be returning if our younger daughter decides to have her ears pierced when she is a bit older.

I got my septum done by Anthony this past Friday. He continuously expressed how excited he was to do it, and it definitely shows that he put his best effort into it. Definitely the best piercing experience Ive ever had! Very clean and nice facility. Marcea was very patient with me while selecting jewelry for a couple old piercings as well as picking out jewelry for my conch piercing that she did today. She knew exactly what she was doing! I will be back in the future for sure!

Awesome experience. They only had one pericer in the evening I was there but she did a really good job at keeping the crowd moving. Marcea was super sweet and helped calm down my nerves with some essential oils. Will def be going back for any more pericing needs.

Went for the Friday the 13th special for my nose piercing. It took much longer than anticipated...but thats because the one piercer on duty was amazing. He took the time with every person and thoroughly cleaned the whole room after each piercing. Ben was super nice and made me feel comfortable. Of course piercings hurt, but it hurt much less than expected! I highly recommend coming here!

This place is great! As soon as I walked into the door, I was greeted by the one of the amazing staff members. Jenni did an amazing job on my navel and industrial piercing. Everyone in this place is friendly. 10/10 would recommend this place if youre trying to get a body piercing!

Marcea has pierced me twice now, and both times were amazing experiences. She was incredibly informative, answered all my questions before I even had to ask, and made sure I was comfortable. I especially loved her used of (I think it was lavender) oil to help me relax before piercing.

Marcea is an excellent piercer! She is very hygienic and gives specific after-care instructions for the piercing! She’s awesome and I promise you won’t regret coming here, I’ve never been more happier with any other piercing!

Got my nose pierced here and they were all great! After 3 weeks my stud came out and I couldnt get it back in. Walked-in and it was a different piercer but he was super cool. He put the stud back in and didnt charge. Will defiantly recommend and will be going back when I get another piercing.

Dustin is a great piercer. I got my nose pierced by him and it didnt even hurt. I was shocked at how painless its been. He knows what he is doing and is fantastic. If you are debating a piercing go in and talk with him. He will make you feel 100% better.

I came to Pens & Needles for a conch piercing, without an appointment, and they were able to accommodate my last minute decision. The receptionist was very helpful in picking out my jewelry and patient with my indecision. The piercer, Dustin, was super friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure I was comfortable, knew what was going to happen, and made sure I was feeling okay afterwards. He gave me the best and most professional experience Ive ever had at any piercing shop. I would definitely come back and I would recommend this shop to anyone.

New staff, same high quality service. My piercers name was Ben. My appointment was accidentally scheduled on his day off. Ben, however, had to come in to work for another patients emergency. So, he offered to pierce me after he finished with that client. Ben was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. My piercings have had no complications and are healing wonderfully.After terrible experiences elsewhere, I will NEVER trust any other place than Pens & Needles with my piercings. Pens & Needles truly is the best around.

Best piercing experience by far! Shop was being renovated so not everything was displayed (jewelry) but the girl working the front of the shop (I forgot her name) was really nice and helpful and still offered to show me the autoclave. Everything looks tidy and clean!! The piercer (I forgot her name as well) was also nice and not pushy or rude. I was offered a chance to clean my piercing before I left. The pain afterwards only lasted the first day (unlike my previous similar piercings) and is beautifully healing 2 weeks later with no complications. I believe they mentioned they could change the jewelry after 2 weeks if you have the replacement jewelry, but Im not 100% certain thats what was said. The price was reasonable and actually less than I had expected, but its definitely not one of those icky $10 shops.I will definitely return for my future piercings.

I went there to get a new lip ring as the ball came off of my other one. The guy (sorry, cant remember the name) let me know it would be better if I had a stud as my ring was giving me a slightly inflamed lip. Its been much better now and Im happy with his advice! Ive also taken my daughter to get her ears pierced there and again everyone was super nice. A little pricey, but they make up for it in customer service :)

Went here to get my nose pierced, greatest place ever for piercings! Called in the day prior and the person who answered the phone was super nice and gave as much information as she could, went in the next day and they gave me Multiple options and things to choose from for my nose. the shop is super clean, and Every one there is super dope and very willing to help. All the utinsles they use are extremely sterile and clean, they sterilize it there with a special machine. Getting the piercing done was fast and easy, and I dont really plan to go anywhere but here if I want more piercings. For sure a 10/10

I got my nose pierced at the beginning of the year. I wanted to wait before doing a review to make sure everything healed well. And Im happy to report, all is well. I had never been to Pens and Needles before and had a great experience. The girl at the front desk was so super sweet, and my piercer Pierre, put me at ease. The process didnt hurt overmuch (a hard pinch) and it was over. I had a momentary freak out a few weeks later when the wound began to swell. I went in, had another piercer (I forgot his name) take a look, and he assured me that everything was healing normal. Now, almost four months later, my piercing looks great and is almost all healed. Ill be going in sometime in the next couple of months for the final check up! Thanks for the great experience!

Extremely professional and fun staff. Made the whole process go smoother. Didnt set up an appointment but they explained if I waited 15 min to see if their appointment showed up. They never showed so the staff took me in which i thought was really cool. Will definitely go back for more work.

I wanted to get my right helix pierced for my birthday, the only problem is that I am ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED of needles. The staff were so kind and welcoming, they made sure that I was comfortable and that I could not see the needle during the procedure. Hands down would get my ears pierced there again and would reccomend Pens and Needles to anyone.

I got my septum pierced here. I was super nervous when I went in, but the piercer Anthony made me feel so much better about it he was super nice, easy going, comforting, and professional. I went back to change it a couple weeks later and he did it for me and everything healed up perfectly! I wouldnt go anywhere else

Marcea was amazing! Got my nostril done yesterday by appointment. The studio was very clean and all the jewelry and needles were sterile and wrapped. Marcea was very sweet and answered all my questions and even offered aromatherapy for my nerves! Definitely will be coming back here for any future piercings!

Awesome customer service! They had appointments and still were able to fit me in (after only waiting about 5 min) for a few minutes to look at a recent piercing (done elsewhere) that had some issues and answer some questions. And the girl clearly knew her stuff. I didnt even spend any money here today and they still treated me like a VIP who spent $1000. When its time for my next piercing, I will be driving the 60+ minutes, through the dreaded gap, to come here.
