Im new to home brewing and have bought most of my supplies online. I did buy some beer bottles locally on Amazon Market and found an Old West card in the bottom and decided to check it out. Was very pleasantly surprised with their prices and friendly staff. Comparable to online prices but no shipping costs.I had checked out another brew shop in the Springs but went into sticker shock at their prices, hence the online shopping. Glad I checked out Old West!

They were very warm and inviting. they had good knowledge from what I can tell it how to make mead what might need to have on hand. I would recommend a place to anybody who wants to make beer wine or mead

This place is terrific. Very friendly, family-owned staff. Good prices, a discount program, and you can also buy grains in bulk. If theres something they dont carry, they are willing to order it for you. This is definitely my only Homebrew shop, even though I have others that are closer to me.

Really great and helpful staff. Regardless of your level of involvement in the hobby, the staff always do a great job of helping you get the ingredients and equipment that would be best for you. They have a great grain room and will gladly help you mill your own grain. They have excellent yeast selection as well. The only minor complaint that I have is their hop selection could be better. Its fine as is, but a few more Continental varieties would be nice.

The BEST Homebrew shop in Colorado Springs! Ive been frequenting this store for nearly 5 years and couldnt be happier with my experience. They have everything you need whether you are just beginning your brewing adventure or stepping up your game to all grain and kegging. The owners are outstanding and are genuinely interested in getting to know their customers.

Ive bought three gallon glass jugs for water and gallon bottles for kombucha. The price for the gallon glass bottles is the best in town. The glass jugs are pricier, but they are fancier (and possibly imported). I always get lots of compliments when I go to fill them up.

Awesome place, even better since the recent expansion. The staff has always been really helpful (especially the older guy, I wish I could remember his name). Even though its across town, its been my go-to place since moving here in 2012. Some things can be a little on the expensive side, but you have to expect that from a local shop. Their ingredient prices are very reasonable.

They have a good selection of hops and a decent selection of yeast for you home brewing. The staff is always helpful. There is a fair amount of extract kits to pick up, and a decent selection of grains.

Excellent shop with a good selection of grain, malt, hops, cleaning supplies and hardware. The store is set up where you weigh out small bags of grain from big tubs of bulk grains, and there is a grain mill on site. Very convenient. Same setup with extract, tell staff how much you need and they weigh it out for you; no more extract that only comes in 3.3 Lb increments. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely my homebrew shop of choice.

Theres everything a beginner could need from a variety of yeasts to stoppers, bottles, and labels, as well as guide books to get you started. If you get stuck, the staff is more than happy to help out. They even have root beer and beer kits! This is a fun hobby to learn!

I ran into the store in rush because it was about to close. I grabbed bin labeled Extra Special Malt- 130 L. Weighed it out, grabbed my hops, and went on my way. I get home and further examine the malt. Its definitely not Extra Special, probably only Victory malt. Waaaay off on their labeling.

Probably the best homebrew supply store in Colorado Springs. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They are occasionally out of one thing I need, but are always able to point me to an alternative item if I am in a rush. If I am not in a rush, they are happy to order whatever I need. I was in today to check on pick up a few things. The extra special malt that a poster mentioned is just that, but the bin had a typo of 130L It should have read 3-4 L. The owner showed me the bag which is from Gambrinus and corrected the tag to show the correct color no big deal. This is a great shop and has been my go to LHBS for over 20 years. They have just finished a big remodel and have added a number of new products.

Great little shop. I dont brew but I needed a new CO2 tank and this place is the closest and one of the few open on Saturdays to purchase this type of item. Will be heading in for an exchange on my CO2 bottle on Monday!

Went it after work today for some self-capping bottles, only needed a few. As I am looking in the store with no help from the staff, I grab four bottles and bring up to the counter. Sorry sir, we only sell bottles by the case. So, you dont sell single bottles? No, maybe you should try the liquor store. As I was walking out, I noticed the small area where they would sell single bottles... But I was too upset with the unhelpful staff to ask them anymore questions. The two old ladies just wanted to talk to each other while I was there and not help the customer! Wont be going back!!!!
