Car Toys was about $100 cheaper then Best Buy to purchase and install a remote start. They were able to install on the spot and the quoted 2 hour wait time turned out to be about 45 minutes only. Very friendly and informative staff. My only complaint is that they forgot to close my hood all of the way after the installation and I came to realize this while driving on the freeway...

David & Dusty went ALL the way ABOVE & BEYOND the call of duty yesterday & today to correct an inadequate light bar installation, install a second light, & make sure all the wiring was correct..with a last minute relay addition. Guys like this, that know their trade & willing to help the BEST they can are what help make the backbone of any company. Happy (and I mean really, really happy) experience. After an initial scheduling issue where employees hadnt called in, and we were turned away, the manager, Tyler, assistants Keith and Brandon and everyone since had been an absolute delight. They went above and beyond what they needed to to make my father happy, explained in detail what to expect, were honest and up front with their pricing and made sure that we were treated with care (EVERYONE on shift that day deserves kudos). Purchased two speakers, bass control module, and an amp from Car Toys. Mike D. definitely is a wiring wizard as you can’t tell where the wires were ran throughout the vehicle. The crew at car toys was absolutely amazing as far as being quick to help in areas that i have little knowledge of. They were able to quickly suggest a high quality setup for my subs while maintaining a reasonable price within my budget. Both Keith and Jeremy were great at communicating with each other as well as keeping me updated on issues and timeline for install. So.. I dont want to be the person with negative talk. But when the truth is the truth and reviews play a big part of my decision in purchasing anything.. I would just like to give that honest feedback as well. Not only has my family had a bad experience and they spent 5000 on system. I had my daughters graduation car detailed. And it was given back to me with just paper floor mats placed on the floor. Ive done detailing myself .. its hard job, but this detailer didnt even attempt to do his job.. It was a big disappointment. Almost a month later trying to get my money back has been even more of disappointment..when I was told by management he had already refunded me..Poor service and management.. its a joke

Did terrible work and every appointment we had they either didnt have the part or needed to reschedule. Told us the fix would be a new Amp and speakers ( told it would be up to a grand) but come to find out that it was the piece they installed. When we came in for our appointment (yes was running behind) the assistant manager Tyler, literally tried to fight my husband. Will never refer this location again. The academy one goes above and beyond and worth the drive to get customer service we deserve.

Tyler was very helpful in helping me pick out what would work for my car. Mike D is an awesome dude who stayed well past close to make sure my car was finished. I had a great time talking to him, and he explained to me during the installation different aspects of what he was doing to the car. I will most certainly be back to Car Toys.

I left 5 stars 4 years ago. I wanted to add another review of how awesome CarToys is. Their professionalism, knowledge and customer service is absolutely awesome. Tyler is great and always seems to be moving at 100mph to make sure everything is done efficiently and everyone is helped. The crew was also amazing in any interaction I had with them as well. I have had a DVD system installed, remote start, tint, & Bluetooth/radio. Any minor issue or concern I may have had, was resolved without hesitation, as they take pride in their work. I HIGHLY recommend!!!!

I went and got my car done this past Friday. Not only was it over $2000 but they told me Thursday it would be done that evening. I can back and they hadn’t touched my car. Then I got into a argument with the manager saying that I was lying. I dropped it off Friday. While the system sounded alright.... I told them to give my speakers back and my old box. I had to come back that Saturday to get my box and they never gave me 2 of my old speakers. Terribleeeeeee customer service. Definitely will not go there again. Oh yea and still haven’t got a call that they founded my 2 speakers or my update.

Brought my 2013 Kia Soul in to get a repair quote on fixing my factory installed Infinity car stereo system. I got a jaw dropping quote for the repair.At least Car Toys kept me appraised of the labour charge involved in digging out the head unit and amp and control cable and testing. I stopped them after they told me the gist of the problem.My amp was fried and so was part of the rest of the equipment. So I coudnt afford to fix or replace the stereo this year.Will buy a new stereo complete with full bluetooth next year with our tax refund. Probably from Car Toys or from some etailer and use Car Toys for the install.Car Toys worked fast and even did their best to keep my repair estimate lower. Ill use them again.A week ago my car wouldnt start. My neighbours refused to help. A nice stranger helped.Next time I will watch closer when I get my car battery jumped by woman. I suspect one of us screwed it up. Thats when the my poor stereo met its nemesis. As both events coincided.

Actually do the service you are being paid for on first attempt. Don’t throw out matts, follow through on promises. 2nd detailing not done completely either, drink tray middle back of seats never pulled down or cleaned. Manager Tyler promised to Detail himself, Confirmed at pickup on who did work and Tyler did not assist - nor did he note promised refund. Luckily Mother communicated that to us so we had to ask for it. Given grossness of initial service should have been complete refund.

Came here last week to get my radio fixed.They scheduled an appointment a week later then when I came back on the minute of the scheduled appointment they suddenly had to reschedule. Finally, days after when they could look at it they held the car for 4+ hours and didnt give any call for a status update. I had to call to find out it would cost hundreds of dollars to fix. I said no, picked up the car and found out that a couple cables were not plugged in. That was the entire issue which they wanted to charge $200-$300 for. Thanks for trying to rip me off and completely wasting my time. Dont come here if you want quality service. If you want a run-around and to give away money then yes, this is the place!

I went in because my automatic starter battery was dying. The guys were very friendly and helped me out. They had the correct battery and replaced it for me. Something very simple but I was very grateful for their help.

I hear Car Toys commercials all the time, so I had good expectations when I went in last Thursday night. The two employees behind the counter were in the middle of a conversation, so I looked around the store while I waited for someone to get free and come see what I needed. The store was a mess. In every single room, speakers and stereos were missing from the displays, so it kind of resembled the early stages of a going-out-of-business sale. After a while, the employees clearly werent very busy, but nobody ever paid me any attention. Its a shame, too, because I had three different projects that I wanted to discuss. After 15 minutes or so, I left. As I was walking away, I noticed that they dont even maintain their sign; the lit letters say C R Toys. Overall impression: this is not a well-run location.

We had a remote start put in our truck a couple of months ago and they forgot to put the switch that prevents the vehicle to start when the hood is open so we found that out when my fiancé was checking the oil I didn’t know so I started the truck. so we had to make an appointment so they can fix their mistake appointment was at 11 and when we called to check on the status not once but twice they told us on the phone they could not find our keys or paperwork so we went down in person guess what they found them in seconds but they never worked on the truck to fix the problem they missed in the first place.

I recently had a sub/amp install. And it was amazing, timely, and professional. No problems, no run ins. I was very satisfied with the work, Tyler, Josh & I believe Jerome were all AMAZING. Thank you guys for the amazing work, definitely plan on returning.

I took a stereo to car Toys on Circle Dr. In Colorado Springs Co. I had my own stereo o and all I wanted them to do is put it in they hooked my speakers up backwards hooked up wires that didnt go to the speakers two of my speakers in the front blew out and started smoking because they put the wires in backwards so I went to Best buy not only did car toys charge me $300 just to put a stereo in that I own theyre high priced and they suck so I had to go to Best buy and buy new speakers they fixed every problem that car toys caused and they didnt charge me that much to put the speakers in Do not do business with car toys it could be an expensive mistake

Tyler and Ray helped me select a solid head unit and great speakers to pair with the subs I wanted. Tyler kept an open line of communication as well as making the process quick and painless. Ray did a superb job at building and installing. After hooking up 4 vehicles total with sound systems I cant ask for a better option then this Car Toys!

Had my subs installed here, immediately after installation my front speakers blew. Then roughly a year later all of a sudden my subs quit working, I looked at my amp and some of the wires had melted and broke off from the amp, and one of the fuses burned out. Car toys offers a warranty for the life of the installation so I bring it in to them. I talk with the guy there and let him know what happened he looks at it and says it’s going to cost me $60 to fix it, that he needed to put a new clamp on it or some BS. I asked him why it’s not covered on the warranty and he said it’s not installation related?!? BRO the wires that you put into my vehicle and connected to my amp literally turned black and melted!!! OVERALL car toys is way overpriced for simple installs, and they can’t even honor their warranty which is why I went to them in the first place. After all of this I went home, cut the wires back a bit and tightly secured them to the amp and replaced a fuse in a matter of 10 min and it’s working again. STAY AWAY from Car Toys bunch of scammers that’ll lie and try to make a quick dollar off of you any way they can.

I was quoted wildly inaccurate pricing because theyre afraid of my vehicle and didnt want to perform the job. Since you cant give every customer the same level of respect and service I went to a different location and paid 70% less for the same exact equipment and install. Plus they got the added business of a full interior and exterior detail since they did such an amazing job on my speaker/sub upgrades.

Went in to Car Toys to get some work done on my car stereo and the quality of work is simply amazing! Ray did an incredible job installing and tuning my whole system making it use its full potential sound wise! I decided to get a detail on my car since it was filthy when I dropped it off and boy was I shocked at how clean it was when I picked it up. My car wasn’t that clean when I purchased it from the dealership! Car Toys came through with getting my stereo done right and looking good inside and out when I picked it up! Looking forward to doing more business with them in the future!

I wish I could leave a zero star review. They said I should drop my car off between 9am and 10am, and then when myself and a bunch of other customers were waiting outside in the cold at 9, they said they didnt open until 10. They eventually opened, and said my car would be done by 6. I called at 3, because I was unsure if it would be done on time, they said it would be and were very dismissive. It was not. They hadnt even started, so I got a refund and am taking my business elsewhere. I saw zero happy customers during either of my visits.

I had this backup camera installed 4 times because it keeps failing. This last time the entire housing came off and was taking in water causing the picture to become distorted. The same thing happened with the previous one as well. That just shows the quality of their products. If you want to get a backup camera Id highly suggest going elsewhere.

I came to car toys with the understanding that they were one of the best car stereo installation teams in town, but much to my surprise it took three days to Install the stereo. My stock stereo was left in and the new stereo was put down at the bottom of the consul and it looked weird. I came in because the lights were going out in my stock stereo and it was aggravating so I was hoping to get a new stereo so I didn’t have to worry about the lights going in and out. I spoke with the salesman and told him my concerns and my issues with my current radio. He assured me that the stereo I was picking the pioneer would fit and look great in my car no worries. I agree to the insulation and the stereo I also purchased a radar detector any installation for that. Grand total comes out to ride around $3500, a little on the pricey side but I figured I would finance it make payments on it not a big deal. Why come back to get my car and the insulation isn’t complete, they don’t have the part to make my steering wheel controls work so I have to come back. I come back to finish the install, again leaving my vehicle in their possession. I had my car seven hours the first day, and they were working on seven hours the second day so I called only to be talked to and treated like I was an idiot. I was informed that they are not robots and they only have two installation crew on staff that day so they couldn’t get to my vehicle. There was no communication I was without my car for seven hours all the while packing and getting ready to move state. Not having my car for two days straight in the middle of a move isn’t the most convenient especially when there’s absolutely no communication from the store or the stores manager. I come in to pick up my vehicle and was told that I would need to bring it back in a third time to complete the work that wasn’t finished the last two days. So I bring the car back in for a third day again working on five hours to have this part installed on my steering wheel have them fix the radar detector that wasn’t properly installed. I pick up my car that day and much to my surprise there’s gaps in my consul about an inch and a half on top and the bottom. Every time the radio picks up a phone call With Bluetooth the whole screen cuts out and all I heard was static with the volume completely off. So I am upset I spent $3500 on an installation of a radar detector in stereo that I am completely unhappy with I called the store manager asked to have my stock stereo put back in and I’m told sure no problem so for the fourth day they have my car and at least this time they called me to let me know it’s ready I don’t have to call them. I’m coming to get my car after the stock stereo is put back in there’s no apologies nothing just OK here’s your car will refund you the stereo, But we won’t refund the installation!! Excuse me you won’t refund the part that I am the most upset about? The fact it took three days for your staff to even get my stereo installed not to mention it wasn’t even installed correctly and you still expect me to pay for the installation? I get the bill in the mail today again much to my surprise the stereo still there the install is still there and I still owe $3500! I call the finance company they try and call the store the store tells them oh we Haven’t gotten to adjusting it yet will let you know the price and will call you back tomorrow. Excuse me? How unprofessional is that the customer return the product is financed and the store doesn’t contact the finance company to let them know about the adjustments! I would never ever recommend the car toys down south half circle ever again to anyone for anything. This is the worst install I have ever had, I should’ve just stuck with my at home install crew and probably would’ve been happier and it probably would’ve been done correct the first time and not taking seven hours each day for three days

That actual work done to the car stereo was fantastic. They helped to pick the best radio for my intended uses and they had it rolling out of the shop fully installed in under an hour. The problem was how they scam you when you pay. Of course you can just pay in full and leave it at that but they then ask if you’d like to finance. Why would you want to pay it all now when you can easily make a couple payments of $36 a month? It seems like a no-brainer but what they don’t tell you unless you read the small print, is that you’re actually signing a lease agreement. You end up paying double the price of the radio because after you continue to make those payments, you never actually own your own radio unless you buy out the contract. I asked and confirmed about how it worked and if it would be payed off after this amount of time and he said yes but that’s not what happens at all. Now I’m not sure if the sales rep was just completely unknowledgeable about how their system worked or they enjoy making some extra money off of their customers but if you find yourself having to get work done here, just pay and leave... don’t sign anything.

Amazing customer service. They really help you find what you’re looking for and what best fits your setup and budget. They have amazing selections on anything from head units, speakers, subs, remote start systems. Recently got 2 10’ subs installed in my new car and they where able to get it to work with my factory head unit and sounds amazing. Their craftsmanship is on par and feels like it came from factory. They offer good financial payment plans if needed. Not the first car I brought to them and most likely won’t be my last either.

Two stars only because the system sounds decent. Paid nearly $2000 for a complete audio system and install. Customer service was extremely poor, they didnt install my backup camera, changed the speakers that I had ordered to a coaxial pair and then lied about it, sub par install skills. I could go on and on but Im limited on the amount it will let me post on here. Was not worth the money.

First time dealing with this place and I will say that the staff are all nice and professional from my own experience. No problems helping me find what I wanted and explaining what I might or might not need based off what I told them I was looking for. Ended up getting a tv in my 2020 Dodge Durango headliner and it is solid. No wiggle at all and looks really good. Same day turn around time as well. Also, you wouldn’t be able to tell that the tv was installed aftermarket either. Can’t even tell it’s been added to the vehicle. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back for more work. Keep up the good work.
